Dire Predictions

 By Greg Hunter’s

USAWatchdog.com

I am seeing increasing chatter and stories on the Internet about a coming collapse or calamity.  Below is a list of dire predictions put together on Rense.com.  I have started with just the first two.  The people making the predictions are legitimate and big thinkers.  The world has never been here before, monetarily speaking. Cities, states and whole countries are bankrupt and hoping printing money will save them from a hard landing.  Who knows how this will all shake out, but I see 2 things for sure: big inflation and a freak show of bailout and default.  Please read the entire list of predictions.  If these folks are just half right then, we are in serious trouble.

Bob Chapman

First 6 months of 2010, Americans will continue to live in the ‘unreality’ the period between July and October is when the financial fireworks will begin. The Fed will act unilaterally for its own survival irrespective of any political implications (source is from insider at FED meetings). In the last quarter of the year we could even see Martial law, which is more likely for the first 6 months of 2011. The FDIC will collapse in September 2010. Commercial real estate is set to implode in 2010. Wall Street believes there is a 100% chance of crash in bond market, especially municipals sometime during 2010. The dollar will be devalued by the end of 2010.

Gerald Celente

Terrorist attacks and the “Crash of 2010”. 40% devaluation at first = the greatest depression, worse than the Great Depression.  (Click here for the colplete list of predictions from Rense.com)

Below is a video from InflationUS.  It has had less than a half million views on You Tube.  I am surprised it has not gotten more play.   Anyone who wants to get a clearer picture of the future should take the time to watch this compelling video.  Please enjoy.

I don’t know anything about economics but anyone can see that the times we are living in are very dire. What do simple people with a little savings do?

    • Greg

      Jean,
Buy silver, do not take on any debt, and pray.

Gee, thanks Greg for the great news before the holiday weekend. Is there anything that can stop this?

    Stephen

    • Greg

      Stephen,
In a word, NO. Please try and take the necessary steps to protect yourself and family.

Wow Greg, is this video your response to my last comment?

    • Greg

      Thank you Mike.

I’ve always been someone that is fearful of the future – mainly just a personality thing. But I have this latent, now becoming quite active, feeling that something bad is around the corner. I see what my country is doing to itself with insane spending, illegal aliens, and wars without clear goals (or ends) and I see our failure coming. And when we fall, who is going to rise?

I want my country back. I want us to bring everyone home and strengthen our borders and hunker down for a while. We need to re-tool. We need to do it now.

    • Greg

      Dpaner,
Everybody is hoping we can get through this without pain. We will get through this. America will not end, but there is going to be great pain.

I totally agree with this video, with one exception. As a nurse, mother and grandmother, I don’t view the requirement that mothers be allowed a clean and decent place to nurse an infant or pump milk for their baby. Breastfeeding of infants needs to be encouraged and supported for the health of our young and the healthy future of our country. When I was a new mom, I was thankful I worked in a hospital where I had a clean place to pump and store milk. Women who work in offices, factories, etc. didn’t and most still don’t. Instead of pick on this, why not support it? There are many, many far more egregious regulations than this that you can highlight. IF employers actually really did this for moms, it never would have gotten to the place that women would think this necessary.

    • Greg

      Thank you Claire.

Interesting most of my sources say July also.

    Webbots also say July

    The astrologers also say July

    • Greg

      Dan,
      Thank you for the info.

Whew! The documentary was certainly harrowing, if not completely convincing. Most likely it is 100% correct, the indefinite time lines are of concern. Nonetheless I have had 10 other people view after I sent it to them. Some reacted with horror others were dismissive. Probably a reflection of society.

    • Greg

      John,
If the video is only half right then we are going to have some real pain in America. Thank you for the comment.

    Hello Greg,

I watched the entire video. I wish I could get my wife to watch it.

The most interesting segment starts at the 46:00 minute mark.

(Below are paraphrases from minute 46:00 +, quotation marks added for effect):
    “Federal reserve is price fixing”
“We have not had a free market for decades”
“Had the free market been allowed to work, the recession may have been over”
“We don’t need more regulation, we need the free market”

I have been reading and listening to some of the people on this video for quite a while (previous to this video). They have a good track record. They have been correct more than they have been wrong.

Greg, may we get back to an earlier topic: this really requires simple math or 8th grade math skills to figure out.

Selente’s remarks about the 20% are correct. It is sad that only 20% of people will perform 8th grade math to understand the problem.

The free market is us. It is democracy. We should be allowed to vote with our dollars. People who invested in AIG, et allia, should pay for their lousy bets, not me.

Thank you MarkM. I thought it was sobering and well done.

Hi Greg, I’m not sure why you’re surprised this video hasn’t received more views by the American public; isn’t that apathy part of the very reason you’re (we’re) in this mess in the first place?

While I’m here, I think it apropos to also comment on your previous post featuring Paul Craig Roberts who is quitting the debate because he “…came to the conclusion that it is futile to protest war and the police state as long as the 9/11 myth holds.” I’m afraid I wholeheartedly agree, and would also add “the economy” to his list because, in the end, is it not all one and the same?

    gd

PS: Thanks for your great work, by the way. I’ve been a regular visitor here since your first appearance on Coast to Coast AM.

    • Greg

      GD Swain,
Thank you for your comment and supporting this site. I really appreciate it. I am still amazed that more people do not see what is coming.

    Hi Greg,

I’ve been a viewer of yours since the PM Magazine days on WFMY Channel 2.

Be that as it may, I’ve also been a longtime listener of Brad Krantz (in his many positions in NC).

I’ve had the privilege of hearing your guest appearances on 101.1 WZTK and have enjoyed them also.

I believe you’re a straight shooter and this posting calls for alarm. I don’t believe that this country is on the precipice of extinction but I do have the deep nagging feeling, in my gut, that things are not right.

Why do I constantly keep hearing that the economy is on a rebound when still there are so many people (including my wife) unemployed?

My gut tells me that all is not right with what we’re being fed from the media.

I’m not politically biased in either way (Dem or Rep). I’m just concerned.

Best to you and your family on this Memorial Day Weekend.

    • Greg

      James,
Bad news is bad for advertisers. I learned that the hard way at CNN and I am better for it. We (USA) are in deep trouble, financially speaking. Things will get much worse before they get better. I hope you are taking the necessary steps to protect you and your family.
      Greg

  11. RSH

    Greg,

A very good documentary. I have one point of contention, that being the premise for abolishing the Department of Energy. The primary mission of the Department of Energy is the care of this nations nuclear weapon stockpile and the means of nuclear weapon production, testing, and maintenance. If the Department of Energy were abolished the means for the production of nuclear weapons would be placed under the control of the Department of Defense (the military). The loss of the DOE eliminates the segregation of the entity charged with the use nuclear weapons and the civilan control of the means of production. This segregation has served us well since 1945 when the DOE was the Atomic Energy Commission.

    Thanks again for your posts.

    • Greg

      RSH,
      Good point.

Israel insisted that its troops had acted in self-defence after being attacked by those onboard.

But Al Jazeera’s Jamal Elshayyal, onboard the lead ship Mavi Marmara, said troops opened fire even after passengers had raised a white flag.

Israeli troops have taken the ships to the port of Ashdod after seizing them.

Activists who were injured are being treated in hospitals while the rest have been detained and subjected to interrogations.

The whereabouts of Elshayyal and six other Al Jazeera staff were unknown due to an Israeli military information blackout.

    • Greg

      Mark,
      Thank You.

You can add Robert Prechter, Peter Schiff, Cliff High/George Ure, Arch Ceawford, Michael Panzner, Dr Marc Faber, Jim Rogers and others.

    • Greg

      Rick,
It is a long list of some of the very best. Thank you for adding to it.
