This could be an episode of the Twilight Zone. Our politicians and the “mainstream” news media are pushing an agenda that has our country, not edging toward insolvency, but rushing headlong at break neck speed into a national bankruptcy. I do not understand why the mall in DC is not covered with a million citizens protesting US Government sanctioned accounting fraud [changes to Mark to Market accounting Rules], massive unrestrained deficit spending destroying the future of our children and grandchildren, and a push for another TRILLION or so of spending on MORE SOCIAL programs [Health Care]. Our Congress refuses to address the most pressing issues, the economy and deficit spending OR even READ the bills they are passing. Claire, I could not agree with you more.
