Weekly News Wrap-Up 1.18.13

1By Greg Hunter’s USAWatchdog.com

It’s all guns all the time as President Obama makes a big push for gun control.  Part of the plan includes “Executive Orders.”  The other part of the President’s plan includes new legislation that bans assault weapons.  This coming at a time when the nation’s top bankers fraud and crime is enormous and going criminally unpunished.  More deals are being cut to eliminate any criminal prosecutions of top bank officials for committing fraud and crime on a scale never seen before in America.  From LIBOR rate rigging fraud to mortgage security fraud to foreclosure fraud to money laundering for drug cartels and terrorists—all have gone without a single criminal prosecution.  All the bankers get are fines, and in most cases, they don’t even have to admit they’ve done anything wrong.  All the fraud and the bailouts that go with it have made the financial system weaker than ever.

There is no mention of his license to kill without charge or trial.  No mention about the gutting of the due process clause of the 4th Amendment.  Now, the Obama Administration wants to crack down on guns for honest people while his banker buddies set us all up for another market meltdown because of rampant fraud.

The President surrounds himself with children to push gun control while his banker buddies illegally kick millions out of their homes and commit major financial crime.  What happened to the debt negotiations?  This is a national security issue, and the President is starting another fight when the last big fight over budget cuts and debt ceiling is far from over?

Is there any wonder why Germany wants to start bringing its gold home?  Could this start a run by other central banks to get their gold returned back home as well?  The Fed holds more than 6,000 tons of gold that belongs to other countries.  Are world central banks losing trust in the Fed?  Who knows, but this is a serious widely reported story, and it carries big implications as to the stability and trustworthiness of the U.S.

On top of that, yesterday, the U.S. mint has suspended sales of Silver Eagle coins because they have run out of product.  This is another warning sign that folks are not comfortable with the dollar or how the finances are going here in the U.S.

Hostages were taken and some have been and killed in Algeria in fierce fighting to free them.  Al-Qaeda is to blame.  The situation is far from over.  In Syria, the civil war rages on.   The death toll in the nearly 2 year war is approaching 50,000.  Meanwhile, outgoing Defense Secretary Leon Panetta is refuting charges the Syrians have used chemical weapons on their people.

Finally, the drought in the West and parts of the Midwest are severe.  The winter wheat crop will definitely be reduced, and beef prices are going to be going up this year because of the drought.   No rain will mean higher prices for food globally.

Hi, Greg, excellent report as always.
I read the article at http://news.coinupdate.com/us-mint-temporarily-sold-out-of-silver-eagles-1815/
that stated the U.S. Mint ran out of 2012 Silver Eagles in December and suspended their sale until the release of the 2013 American Silver Eagles on January 7, 2013. From January 7 to January 17 (when sale was once again suspended), over 6 million coins were sold. The article stated that 3,937,000 orders for the 2013 Eagles were placed on the first day the coins became available – the highest one-day sale in the history of the program.

Over 6,000,000 silver coins sold in ten days.
    Hmmmmm.

I am so glad you brought up the drought.
I have been keeping an eye on it with interest.
Here in Minnesota we are classified as in a “severe” drought.
If this materializes into a full-blown, full-summer drought to rival 2012, there will be higher food prices and possible global food shortages.

Minnesota grows a lot of corn, but it not one of the premium “corn-growing” states, like those in the Corn Belt. Yet last summer, Minnesota had the highest production of corn in the United States. We did not get hit with the drought until later in the summer. Since then, the drought has been lingering here and makes one concerned what spring will bring, including fire danger. I am so glad you gave the drought headline coverage!!

Powerful report tonight. Thank you for keeping us informed.

  2. Rev. William Joslin

Great report Greg! One question, if we took the guns away from criminals and crazy people how would the government be able to defend themselves?

    • Rev. William Joslin

Make that ‘bankers and politicians’… Criminals and crazy people.

    • Greg

      Rev,
      I am laughing out loud!!
      Greg

Greg, I will send you more money as we get toward the summer. I know I only sent you a pittance, but more is coming. My work is seasonal with the summer being the busiest time of the year. I will get you something in a few months. I have to watch my money at this time of year.

    With that said…

I don’t know what the future brings. No one does. Of interesting note though… One of my Facebook friends made a statement that I would never have guessed would come out of his mouth. He said that civil war is brewing. I had this guy pegged as part of the 49%. An ultra liberal that does feed at the public trough. He has apparently been reading something that makes him nervous. It is a very good thing that the masses are now starting to become aware of the political climate here in the US.

    • Greg

      Richard,
I don’t care what you gave, the fact you did is a very high compliment and honor to me and the site. THANK YOU!!!!

    Greg,

Really good presentation – it seems you are hitting your stride. Things are really mounting up. The bulk of America’s dilemma seems to rest with the absence of Justice in the form of NO prosecution for the crimes – AG Eric Holder had the Black Panthers freed when they were guilty of voter intimidation; now No crime is apparently prosecuted. But at some point – the other nations will have to stop playing ball with the USA.
The other very disturbing issue is this Gun Control. Like Obamacare – the government could have just paid the premiums on the millions of uninsured and got everyone off cheap; instead the nation was made hostage to a more expensive and worse system. Now this same government want restrictions on guns??? Sorry Charlie – whatever a policeman carries: I plan to carry. (I actually do now anyway – licensed.) What make me worried is that the president seems ideologically stupid enough to provoke a massive reaction – if he pushes too hard. Anything out of control could invoke Martial Law and FEMA Camps; then fear could propel everyone toward One World Government. Bottom line – I don’t expect Liberals to refrain in any way in their push toward their Utopian solution for mankind.

March 18th the UN will be furthering the ATT – http://www.un.org/disarmament/ATT/

The United Nations General Assembly approved a resolution to renew negotiations on the global Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) on Christmas Eve 2012. The measure was approved by a vote of 133-0 / 17 countries abstaining – http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/12/25/us-arms-treaty-un-idUSBRE8BO00B20121225

The “Right to Bare Arms” is under UN assault Globally – GS Ban Ki-moon has been quite vocal – http://www.un.org/disarmament/

History is replete with examples of how Gun Grabs have proceeded – It usually ends up with the disarmed subject to the Despots whims.

The grand illusion continues forward on nearly every front. Humanity itself is in peril and it appears to be accelerating.

Happy Friday Greg and fellow Watchdogs!
Here’s a blast from the past.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEG8mBNe9Io
There is still a secret Government much larger and more powerful than the one in the video. Our Government and the MSM are the equivalent of rodeo clowns whose only job is diverting the attention of the bull (us) away from the rider (the secret government and it’s activities). To say we can’t believe they did this or that is to continue to deny these facts. Every important financial issue that should be known by we the people is hidden under the shroud of “national security/interest”. We can forget ever knowing who our dollars are backing in these takedowns of middle eastern nations. For profit will be at the root of America’s demise because for profit in the end has no nation or morality.
To those who are still deciding if there are dark forces behind the curtain calling the shots, my heart goes out to you. Good luck to our world until these forces are exposed and replaced by an evolved people who believe “you’re only as sick as the secrets you keep.

    Enjoy the weekend!

Thank you Jim H for the “Blast” and the comment.

Congratulations Greg for the attack on your site. That would only happen if the truth your producing is making a difference.
The chemically challenged sheople have but a few points they make to ban guns.At the same time the reasons to own guns are to many to list.
America once free and brave has become scared and enslaved. I don’t blame the ignorant for this alone. The poisonous foods mass produced holds not enough nutrition to allow the brain to function properly. Or maybe theres not enough oxygen getting to the brain. I don’t know.
I just don’t get it. How Can anyone want to disarm at a time like this? My gun and my freedom are the same thing. One depends on the other. Seeing this I must say I am obligated to a free country, and a constitution to kill any and all that try to remove my gun…as any good soldier would. My comment is not intended to offend rather to warn.

    • Greg

Thank you JC Davis for your perspective. I hope I and the folks who comment and support the site are making a difference.

As to chairman chicken’s assault on the Second Amendment: please read the Federalist Papers, the footnotes to the Constitution, which have the same force. Federalist Paper #28 reads in part: “Those who attempt to usurp their offices are to be THROWN OUT with ARMED FORCE.” This was written by Alexander Hamilton, an alleged “big government” guy.

WE THE PEOPLE have the RIGHT, and the DUTY, to throw out ANYONE taking a government paycheck, from a crooked cop to a greedy politician. And yes, this is taking heat off not only the “banksters,” but also from the stories of Americans who are being slain for their criticism of the NDAA.

I hope and pray that our current civil war does not go “hot.”

    • Greg

      Sam,
Thank you for adding the “Federalist” perspective. This was very important and I am happy you posted this. This comment adds much depth of the contend of this site!!

MSM controlled by the big money , are the ones driving the public for gun control. Coming right out of CNN full blast and the talking heads have force Obama to say something.
9-11 WAS A INSIDE JOB and the public knows and Bloomberg and his buddies know we know.
Fear of the truth is the problem in this country. They who fear the truth fear honest people with guns.

    Hi Greg,

Unfortunately our country is going to get exactly what we voted for. The financial disaster waiting for all of us is only minutes away at any point in time.

I believe the Obama plan to bring down America is being helped by the traitors in the Senate and House. This plan has been in action for a long time by many and Obama is the point man for the finalization.

What concerned citizens need to do now is realize this is going to happen and have their own plan to counteract the extinction of liberty in America. The family unit will become much more important as we learn that Trust Begins at Home.

To all of Greg’s followers have a great weekend.

  11. DAVE

    Hi Greg
Nice reporting as always.I notice you touched on Syria and this maybe a topic you want to research and talk about on your next show. Just in recent days the US and UK deployed Patriot missile batteries on the border of Turkey and Syria as a defense measure. Please note that this is NOT a defensive tactic.Ask yourself ,what do we have to fear from Syria? Nothing,or anyone for that matter. This is a prelude to something much bigger, IMO .This issue has been over looked by the Press and other outlets and i look forward to hearing your thoughts
    thanks again
    Dave

    • Greg

      Dave,
I think the next World War could start in Syria. I ran knows if Syria falls they are next. Russia has also drawn a line in the sand there. I’ve been saying that Russia will not let Syria fall because they have a naval base there and the two countries are very big allies. Isn’t the valley of Armageddon in in Lebanon and part of Northern Israel? Scary stuff man!
      Greg

  12. bob

Guns. They can be used like any tool. Man made to deliver a lethal blow to flesh. I believe in protecting my family from an insane maniac or a government that KNOWS we may indeed turn on them “if” the global economy collapses. I see certain evidence that it will. I also see evidence that it is being done with intent, on a global scale. Now, ask yourself a question—-why now are are “they” trying to take guns away from lawful people? Is there a time in history when a country was about to break apart or it’s economy was near death? Many, many times this has happened. They took all the guns away from Germany’s population just before their monetary collapse. [example] Do you believe 6 million Jews would allow themselves to be rounded up and murdered if they had been armed? [F.E.M.A.] Something is wrong, and I can smell it—————————–

  13. Joseph McNulty

Greg, I do not want to sound like a “conspiracy theorist,” but I consider the “denial of service” computer attack ominous. Take care of your personal security. This attack happened FOR A REASON; it was not just some kid playing around. A “denial of service” attack could be seem as a “shot across the bow,” a warning, a “wave-off” of your reporting. You are rare among the media for pointing out things like Goldman Sachs owning part of Gannet. Things usually happen for a reason. I am not advising that you STOP your reporting — only that you be aware of what is going on. I do not want to read that you were killed by some unkown hit-and-run driver (an incident sure to be reported in the major media — if it is reported at all — as an ordinary “traffic accident”). Trillions are at stake. For instance, we are all aware of the fines in the LIBOR “investigation.” It sounds impressive. Billions in fines. But how much in fraudulent loans were subject to the interest-rate rigging? Trillions, I’ll bet. It is not so bad avoiding jail and paying a few billion when the fraud generated TRILLIONS in profits. The major media seem uninterested in this, amazingly. The media is useless (when it is not pernicious). Recently, Fox News criticized Al Gore for selling Current TV to the Arabs. But the biggest investor in Fox’s corporate parent is an Arab prince! Never mentioned. It is a myth the Fox News represents something “different” from the other media; they just work “the other side of the street.” With TRILLIONS at stake — and the United States says that it will take SEVEN YEARS to return PART of West Germany’s gold! — the safety of ONE independent journalist on the internet should not be assumed.

    • Greg

Point taken Joseph McNulty. Thank you for your advice and support.

  14. Fred

    Hi Greg,
I just donated and hope to give monthly in the future. The devil has a lot of money and they are using it to take away good people’s wealth and freedom. So I totally understand the need for all of us to pitch in. Government is very quick to pass laws when it comes to taking away our wealth and freedom while banking crooks run free. Never thought I needed to join the NRA until now as Obama is trying to pass more gun laws.

The German want all their gold back now – they are not stupid to wait for the U.S dollar collapse. The Fed’s spin to stretch and give gold back during next 7 years is a good indication that the gold is GONE! I’m sure the Fed now has to sort out what gold belongs to whom, how much was leased, and how much more to buy to cover up the shorts. I hope other countries follow and demand their gold too to end this manipulation. Financial war is brewing and sadly it will eventually lead to blood war. History repeating itself again. So stock up people.

    • Greg

Thank you Fred for your support and generosity!!

Mahalo Greg for a nugget of real news with an eye on the ball.

As per the 2nd Amendment shall not bein·fringe (n-frnj)
    v. in·fringed, in·fring·ing, in·fring·es
    v.tr.
    1. To transgress or exceed the limits of; violate: infringe a contract; infringe a patent.
    2. Obsolete To defeat; invalidate.
    v.intr.
To encroach on someone or something; engage in trespassing: an increased workload that infringed on his personal life.

What part have Americans forgotten? Without the 2nd, kiss what little of the Bill of Rights still left good bye. The pound of cure is going to cost far more than the ounce of prevention non administered by an informed engaged public. We may be past the point of no return. It has been a incremental slow motion train wreck, but the increments grow exponential most notably when fractionally reserved.

Asleep at the wheel folks! Rome is burning, real wealth has been consolidated, and we are left with only debased clad, and Fascism.

    Hi Greg

No I don’t think there will be a massive run by other central banks to get gold out of New York unless there are security issues. Some will go – yes.

One reason the Germans moved some gold reserves to the US in the first place was due to historical concerns about Russian aggression. Though it is not the only reason for having reserves located in stable foreign countries.

The reported plan is to reduce the New York holdings from 45% to 37% of total reserves by the end of 2020.

Not exactly in a rush are they and a very large amount will still be held in NYC at that point.

They are also pulling reserves from Paris as there is no sound reason for keeping it there any longer. Reserves in London will be left there (about 13% of the total).

All seems like a sensible move to me including the major audit that is being undertaken.

So the President surrounded himself with children. Well is that really surprising when a whole bunch of darling young innocent kids were brutally gunned down by a civilian along with six adults. Oh and for good measure some of the kids were shot multiple times and probably had more wounds than many a deceased soldier operating in the field. But hey. That is no reason to upset the NRA and others.

I guess what is even more surprising is that someone would actually expect the Government to do something about some of the most powerful firearms and ammo that is freely available to civilians like the 3 semi automatic weapons found with Adam Lanza – including the .223-caliber Bushmaster XM-15 rifle. A fine weapon choice if you are into massacres of civilians. It did a fine job on those 20 poor children deprived of a life and the 6 adults who had their lives abruptly shortened.

The comparison of President Obama with Hitler is ridiculous and by publishing nonsense like that on your site you are undermining your own credibility in my opinion. There are other sites I would expect to see this type of thing but not this one. How do you think one of the parents of any of the massacred young children would react to that on this public site. Think they would say… “yeah..right on” and have a chuckle do you? If one of your family was one of the victims at Sandy Hook would you still publish something like that?

    • Greg

      Sean S,
You are correct about the picture and I took it down. Thank you for pointing this out. It won’t happen again. That said, this is much more than the children at Newtown. This is an economy that has enormous fraud as a foundation. This is unparalleled in American history because the fraud is in the many trillions of dollars. Fraud and crime destroys trust and confidence. It is also about a government that has gutted the 4th Amendment and Due Process. The President even has the right to be judge, jury and executioner, and he did so in Yemen to 3 U.S. born citizens in 2011. Now, there is a massive push to restrict honest hard working people to protect themselves? Banker fraud in the trillions of dollars goes in restricted and criminally unpunished but restrictions for honest people to used their Constitutional rights. That is totally unfair. By the way, your analysis on German gold runs contrary to most experts including professional traders and money managers on CNBC. I do not think you fully grasp the financial peril America is facing. Thank you for your comment.

        Greg,

Great update I liked it, it shows us just how Mentally ill Obama & many of our would leaders really are!

Please excuse me for being “Animated” like Alex Jones for a minute while I attempt to make a few points.

Your 1st instinct of putting up the picture with the “Fascist Obama”, btw just as evil as GW Bush before him, surrounding himself with lil kids was a 100% correct. Hitler/Stalin pulled the same gun grab crap hiding behind kids.

I’m tried, but I’m far from being done, This here Thomas Jefferson/Madison type Leftist Liberal will keep calling State/DC polecats & demanding the Fascist Obama’s impeachment & those supporting/involved with him to be called in front of Federal Grand Juries across the US to account for the crimes they’ve commented that you’ve pointed out & other crimes they have been involved with.

I’m replying here because I don’t know if Sean S is uninformed or a paid shill. Yes, there are plenty of paid shills out & around, some paid with tax payer funds.

For those of us that are paying attention we see the move to Fascism is at full speed right now.

        Protecting the crooked Wallst/London Banks/Insurance Co’s. etc…

Bill Mahers, Bob Costa, CBS’s Bob Scheifer, Pezhead Morgan, Gov. Cuomo, Mayor Bloomberg, Danny Glover, etc..

Are they being Blackmailed or the only other conclusion is that they are American hating Trash that can’t stand the Freedom & Liberty that Ben Franklin/Thomas Jefferson, Madison George Washington, Madison & the other founders gave us all.

Step back from all the propaganda BS & finish investigating the Total Scams that are being pulled on us all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ask yourself, why were Paid Actors at the aftermath of Sandy Hook.

        What is really happening???

Go look at all the “evidence” & the videos!!!

At the NRA’s press conference, twice interrupted by protesters with banners, National Rifle Association CEO and Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre.

Note: At 1:16, notice that gal from Code Pink. Everyone that’s been around “Knows” who that protest gal is as she’s only been protesting at least a decade. Google: Code Pink for her name.

She didn’t just happen to sneak into the NRA event, the NRA security let her in!!

I’m not saying, but maybe some should join the GOA, (Gun Owners of America instead of the NRA.

        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rD02ADInsP4

        The Hoax called Sandy Hook.

I’m not sure what happened at Sandy Hook, but doesn’t anyone think we should 1st investigate it before we Crown Obama King Dictator????

See the Video & question it yourself.

        http://www.youtube.com/verify_controversy?next_url=/watch%3Fv%3DWx9GxXYKx_8

There is much more then meet’s the eye like the UN small arms treaty coming up in 30- 60 days.

My family’s 6 WW2 vets & the Leftist Liberals of their day Adams/Jefferson are telling me from the past & their writings in the “Preamble of the Bill of Rights/& the Rights, Phk the Nazi Obama & his friends & the UN!!!!!!!!

Conservative Mental ill Kings/Tyrants/Fascism or the Liberty & Freedom the founders of the US gave us, I’m a 110% sure of which side of the line in the sand I’m on!

Keep up the great work Greg & I’ll keep promoting your work. 😉

          Thank you Don. I will.

Seems to me that if gun control is the real issue our leaders are doing a poor job of it based on gun sales. I seriously doubt that we the people can out gun our very own corrupt government. With all the fire power and technology at their finger tips the playing field is not even. So what if gun control is really not the issue? What if they are happy to give us guns and more guns while they create a culture of disrespect, disloyalty and distrust so that we turn against each other in the long run?? Seems that would solve THEIR problems as we play into their hands. Just a thought thrown out there….

Greg: A lot of people think they understand the FED and how they do our business of monetary policy in America; this includes a lot of our great congresspeople. Let me introduce you to a new term that I believe will become everyday laughter for some people, but it is so very serious that it will eventually bring down this country. This term is called the Mandrake Mechanism. This is what Paul Warburg brought to America when the Rothschild’s had him write the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 along with others. Mandrake was a comic magician in the 1940’s. He could create things out of nothing and make things go away. Well this is pretty much what our FED does, and we call it the Mandrake Mechanism. Google this and study it until you can explain it o somebody else and pass it on; pretty soon a lot of people in America will see where we are…. Betts

    • Greg

      William Betts,
Thank you for the new term and the comment!!

    Crack Up Boom or Bust

    The equation of exchange:

    P = M * V / Q

    Where the variables are:
    P = Price level
    M = Money supply
V = Velocity of money, how many times money turns over in a year
    Q = Real GNP

Would enjoy a healthy discussion based upon the Variables among contributors here.

Price – Is it set by the “Market” and If so/not what do contributors here perceive to be the impediments to “Price.” There are many examples of Price intervention – Hedonics, Futures Suppression, Outright distortion. Are costs truly at equilibrium at any point in time, or even near it.

Money Supply – What are the actual numbers, are they in “Fact” the numbers. Has the principle of Money changed to such a degree the measurements are valid/invalid? The majority of “Money” transactions are electronic: does this represent a distortion to the actual “Supply” of money. Certainly there will be plenty of room in simply discussing “What is Money”… Does “Money” in fact create the “Energy” to produce growth or does “Energy” produce the inertia to create “Money.” Are there Social factors beyond a loss Confidence in “Money” which contribute to “Hyperinflation”… What is the real, factual base of reference for Money now and how has it and will it change.

Velocity of Money – Does Hyperinflation causes money creation or does money creation cause Hyperinflation…. does it matter. Historically it has been the combination of the government spending far in excess of the taxes and the Central Bank Money creation and buying Government Debt Issuance. It has been these two together that result in Hyperinflation and not merely one of these events. Hyperinflation is a massive and rapid increase in the amount of money that is not supported by a corresponding growth in the output of Goods & Services. Assuming there is a decrease in the output of Goods and services it is still possible to see Hyperinflation when the Output is falling faster than Broad Money Supply is contracting – this has been the traditional/historical unit of measurement, but are we certain this is applicable now? IS it Factually valid…

Real GNP – How do we in Fact calculate Real GNP as it appears to have components from both sides of the Balance Sheet as well as many other “Productivity” factors which may or may not be applicable. How best do we decipher the REAL from the Unrealistic, how productive are we in Fact versus what is purported and would this be a better metric for extrapolating how close we could be to a Unsustainable Collapse or Crack up Boom.

There is a great deal of discussion surrounding what may and can come our way… Often it seems we are speaking varying languages to a degree. Clearly there are very different expectations and assumptions, but when we look at the root of the equation and begin to simply deal in Math and understand the parameters of what is possible/probable… we may end up serving ourselves a more rationale and understandable expectation(s).

If we are ever to affect change we certainly will need to be much more closely aligned in understanding.

It is clearly a near overwhelming challenge, but in my “Opinion” it our greatest hope for change.

    • Rebecca

I appreciate some of the insight JRMFL brings to light here.
But he advocates a discussion of technicalities that are beyond the scope of understanding for those not specifically “educated” in economics.

As a country gal, I think common sense works real well too.
I don’t need to be a mechanic to know when my car is broke.
I need a mechanic to fix it, but I can tell when something is wrong with my car.

I am not an economist, but I can see the economy is broke.
I don’t have the expertise to fix it, probably not even the knowledge to fully understand how it became broke in the first place.

But I have enough common sense to know it is BROKE and no one with the power to fix it seems willing/able to do so. So, I had better prepare for the consequences of what is going to happen. I don’t even have to know the specific of when it will happen. I know winter comes every year and it gets cold here in Minnesota. So the wood is cut and dried in the summer and piled in the woodshed in the fall. When winter comes, I am ready. Isn’t that what all we “preppers” (as the MSM likes to derogatorily call us) are doing? We are getting ready for “winter,” per se.

We can see the economy is in a crisis. Common sense says that if something is not done to fix it — it will come tumbling down under the weight of government/public irresponsibility. No one seems interested in fixing it, so all we can do is prepare, as best as each person can do, for the resultant crisis that will be created.

To me, the more important question is NOT HOW IT HAPPENED, but what I need to do to survive it.

That said, I appreciate the insight and analytical discussion that JRMFL is asking for. I will read with interest what those with knowledge have to share in that area.

I love when you speak about the financial meltdown. I went back and listened to your Keiser Report interview. You have all the facts, reason, passion and a non-bias political stance concerning the financial meltdown necessary to understand what went on, and what is going on. You need to be writing a book, taking us down the time line of fraud, greed and criminality. It would be great.

    Think about it.

    • Greg

      Tsuki,
Thank you for the comment. The book idea is a good one–if I had the time.
      Greg

      • tsuki

Well, at least keep it in the back of your mind. Thank you for all you do.

  22. Kevin2

Greg, I just noticed another Kevin, left a comment. I have commented
several times, but not much. I like to think I was the one that got
you to accept donations. The reason for this is, I think your site is
growing, and to you are going to have a different way of keeping track
of your posters. The new Kevin, is not me? Get it? Just my thoughts?

    The new, Kevin2 Thanks, Kevin2

    • Greg

      Kevin2,
Yes, you were one of the reasons why I started accepting donations. I had been getting comments and emails for months and I finally gave in. I do not want the site to be a subscription service but a free news site. Thank you for your support and comments!!
      Greg

  23. Francis Peters

I really like this site and all the work you do in keeping us informed as to what’s going on Greg. Thank you!! I am from the east coast of Canada but follow US news (and Europe) everyday to keep up with what is going on that’ll probably affect us sooner or later. It’s very disconcerting to know what is happening in financial and political circles especially in the US.I have always been interested in US history and am daily shocked now to see what is happening to what I always looked at as the greatest country in the world. Today the criminality that “reigns” (good word to use in conjunction with B.Hussein Obama) in the US executive branch and the apparent uselessness of the elected members in “reigning in” that criminality is stunning and very depressing. Thanks again for your site and timely interviews that allow us to see beyond the useful idiots that MSM provides for the masses. May God Bless you and the work that you do Greg!

    • Greg

Thank you Francis Peters for the kind words and most importantly for your support. Massive crime and fraud perpetrated on the not just the U.S. but the entire world. This is unparalleled in human history!!! Not a single prosecution. This is too stupid to be stupid. Why aren’t the Republicans complaining. Where are the liberal Democrats on this enormous issue? This proves the two parties are not all that different.
      Greg

  24. JRMFL

It can and should be simple Rebecca.

As simple as does a cheetah need a wallet?

No, it simply needs to chase down more calories (energy) than it consumes doing so.

That is Economics as well as Finance.

Those pulling the levers have complicated the direct, the simple… In order to obfuscate the truth(s).

  25. BOB D

The people won’t attack the sitting government. They will just stay home and not take orders to get on the train. That’s why the citizens have the right to be armed.
People would be foolish to wast energy unseating the fools in DC and New York Bankers, because they have nothing the public needs.
People with guns are not the problem. The problem is the insiders making laws to corner the wealth and labor of the people.
The people have no reason to burden themselves by over running DC. But DC and the Bankers need us to supply the wealth.
The people have freedom by not doing anything. But without arms you are a slave to the few who would put you on a train to a labor camp.
Marching on DC is foolish ,marching down to the local government is being a good citizen.
Using Feds paper money is what it is. I have no problem with spending it as fast as I get it. The lesson of paper money, it’s worth the most the day you get it. The problem people thinking they have a say over what it should be worth next week. The Fed money is the Kings money we have no say, never did never will.
The people wealth is property and labor. These are rights and we as citizens have the right to fight under law to keep are property.
Lawless lawmakers is the problem and Obama best tell the people he understands this fact. It can’t be easy to turn this mess around but truth would go a long ways.

so, just when do the goose step lessons begin? i think i am going to be otherwise engaged at that time, how about you?

Criminal prosecution would discourage the activity. They take the money from traders and savers then pay the vigorish to the government in fines This is not about a crime it is about a income stream.

    • Greg

      Egore,
It is also about massive unprosecuted crime my friend, but your point about the “income stream” is well made and well taken. Thank you foor adding your important perspective.

Hi, i read your blog from time to time and i own a similar one and i was just curious if you get a lot of spam comments? If so how do you prevent it, any plugin or anything you can suggest? I get so much lately it’s driving me insane so any help is very much appreciated.

    • Greg

There is a filter in the platform I use. A few slip by from time to time but get a spam filter.
