Could WWIII in Middle East Start Soon, Even MSM Knows Economy Tanking, Trump vs Pope

1bBy Greg Hunter’s USAWatchdog.com (WNW 227 2.19.16)

The top story is the Middle East and the possibility of WWIII. I am not exaggerating here as both Saudi Arabia and Turkey have strongly suggested that their countries would invade Syria. Saudi Arabia and other Middle East countries have reportedly amassed 350,000 troops on the Syrian border. Russian President Vladimir Putin says any troops entering Syria without the permission of Syria would be considered an “Act of War.” This would be huge and, no doubt, would go nuclear. Maybe this is the reason why Russia dispatched a brand new cruise missile ship to the Eastern Mediterranean last week.

The economy sucks, and even the mainstream media is beginning to admit it. Big global bank executives at JPMorgan and Citigroup announced they are buying shares of their banks. Deutsche announced it is buying $5.4 billion of its own debt. Deutsche Bank has $70 trillion in derivatives (debt bets) while the German GDP is only $3.8 trillion annually. That’s leverage at one bank that’s nearly 20 times the economy of Germany. What could go wrong? Why are the banks trying to paint a positive picture about their banks? Could the banking sector be in trouble around the world? The simple answer is yes. Look out for negative rates and bail-ins coming to a bank near you in the not-too-distant future.

The Pope is attacking candidate and private citizen Donald Trump. There is an old saying, and it is “When you start taking flack, you know you are over the target. The Pope questions Trump’s Christianity for his stance on illegal immigration and building a wall. Trump says if ISIS attacks the Vatican, he will wish Trump was President.

There’s a new expression in Islam ” women are for children, the Pope is for fun”

    Greg,
If a picture paints a thousand words…you just wrote a book.
    My goodness …..you’re on fire.
That chart of Deutsche vs Lehman…is very telling. 😉
I wonder if Deutsche is collapsing…. or is it being flushed. Either way the end is nigh.

With the Pope’s involvement in the Pres. Election….picking on Trump….you smacked that one out of the ballpark. Holy smoke !!! (Sorry) .When the Vatican gets involved you know things are serious. Trump is a threat..to not only their structure …but sadly also to himself. The Popes message is to sway the “Christian” vote. Next it will be the media’s turn. Trump has some serious PR work on his hands right now.

Beautiful work…luvin every minute of it…regardless of how depraved that sounds.

This is what I predicted last year.

    Jerry 02/21/2015 •

Greg, Everyone knows I post too much, but I thought this report was too big to pass up.
    http://www.wsj.com/articles/u-s-units-of-deutsche-bank-santander-likely-to-fail-fed-stress-test-1424467951
According to the Wall Street Journal Deutsche bank will not pass the Feds stress test on Monday. If that happens, it could really send a ripple through the economic markets on Monday since over 62 Trillion Dollars in derivatives are tied to it. Greece may be the least of our worries.

Considering last weeks news about Deutsche Banks collapsing stock, don’t you think this information was accurate? I do. The Exchange Stabilization Fund is to busy mopping up U.S. treasuries to bother propping up another failing bank. It just so happens that this one is holding up the entire ECB, and has 65 Trillion dollars in derivatives tied to it. Can they stall it? Sure. But the day of reckoning will come (I predict) with the Gold Benchmark in April.

Jerry, thanks for your perseverance. You may be in a book of books one day, or maybe even a movie, if such things are still around? Monty Pythons; Life of Brian, was a rather significant religious movie for us baby boomsters. Growing up in the dual Anglo-American world super power which our parents fought to preserve in the last world war [WWII] had a profound effect on our generation that morphed into the Beatles, Stones, Hendrix’s, Elvis, ect. . . and the whole counter culture movement.
Which Brian, life of, was a small, very funny part. A generation so set free, to even laugh at the absurd, of Christianity!

Well, [arm ah gettin] outa here for now, but let me just leave u with another small part of, the life of Brian!

The blood moon is connected to a cycle that will not end until 09/28/2016.

I am not a religious scholar by any means, but as near as I can tell the seven year cycle has been accurate so far. What else you got?

        • gthomas

You’ve given specifics; none of which has manifested. You just give a reason for your “mistiming” and come up with a new projection as I’m guessing your link above does.

You should humble yourself and come back and proclaim your failures…which are many.

          • Jerry

            gthomas
That’s all you got? More criticism. Why am I not surprised? The world is full of morons like you…soon to be dead. How’s that for a prediction?

            • gthomas

Another bad guess; I’m no moron and I’m quite prepared. I’m also a retired military officer with a pension, for now; haven’t had a mortgage for almost half my life; neither my wife nor I have to work, and I have 20% of my investable wealth in Au/Ag which is substantial. What would make you believe otherwise? You seem unhinged. Your petulent name calling is noted and your thinking that because someone calls you out that they don’t believe in our demise is s representation of your lack of discernment, again.

Your work would be sppreciated, by me at least but your method of conveyance is ludicous and says more about the messenger than the message. What normal forum commentator speaks of “my sources”? Reeks of …well, issues. You have no cred. with me. But who am I? I can’t believe Hillary is a thing, yet she is. Meh.

        • allen ols

          gina;

After watching that though, I still wondered, “Who ARE these superdelegates and why do they have so much power?” and I wondered if it worked the same way on the GOP side as it does on the Democrat side. And so I researched. And this article broke it down really well. Here’s the main point though, which is why I feel empathy for Sanders supporters. Their side is completely rigged.
There are 4051 Democrat delegates, and 712 of those are superdelegates (or, those who are unpledged/unbound to any specific candidate, and who can vote for whoever they want, no matter what their home state popular vote says.) Those superdelegates include:
          1. All Democrat governors
          2. All Democrat senators
          3. All Democrat congressional representatives
          4. Some Democrat big city mayors and state lawmakers
          5. All former Democrat presidents, vice presidents, US Senate leaders, and speakers of the House
          6. President Obama
          7. All members of the DNC.
Quite a list, huh? What that means, essentially, is that the people listed above wield far more power than regular, normal people in the election process. So when you hear Democrats say that every vote counts, you need to remember that some votes count far more than others. Real democratic, huh?
Now, on the GOP side, things work differently, and far more democratically.
Republicans have 2472 delegates, 168 of which are superdelegates, and those 168 people are RNC members. However, they are NOT allowed to vote for whoever they want at the convention. They can only support whoever their state supports, which means that they’re really not “super” at all. They’re just delegates.
Pretty interesting, isn’t it? That the GOP delegates will be voting according to the will of the people, whereas the Democrat delegates will simply vote according to their own, personal selfish interests?
Their side is majorly rigged. And Sanders supporters are right to be pissed off. If he continues to win primaries, and is the clear popular choice, it may not matter at all. The will of the people be damned. There are 712 people who will decide for them, because they know what’s best. This is the party who claims to be for the little guy. The one who touts its diversity and inclusion. The one who insists Voter ID laws cause disenfranchisement.
          Really?
Just remember, Democrat voters – when you vote for your elected officials, you’re giving away your own power to them.
Nice party you got there, Dems. Your elitism is showing.

No wonder average “Joe Blow” hasn’t got a clue as to how the system works or whether or not it is fair or democratic. The incredibly complex and confusing system is in itself extremely sinister.

Your post suggests that the system is indeed fundamentally both unfair and undemocratic and goes a long way to explaining the tragically low turnout in the 2012 primaries.

Well, the focus of the world has turned to the middle East, not surprising since the Last Things come from there. It’s one of those developments you hoped wouldn’t happen but knew they would.

Most Catholics, alas, vote knee jerk Dem. O. is in office thanks to them in part. I don’t know why Pope Francis keeps making these outre comments, but it seems part of his style. The Pope doesn’t have the power he once did. The RC Church is deeply divided along Conservative/Liberal lines.

Greg, why do they say gold is gaining when the daily fixes don’t seem to end well each day? What am I missing?

    • Greg Hunter

      OX,
Gold has gained in all currencies. It’s currently at $1,232 up nearly $200 since it’s cycle low in December. It’s going higher but what that means is paper is going much lower. As far as the Pope, we are all sinners but I expect judgment for him will be harsh.
      Greg

      • Russ McMeans

Thank you for having the Turk on, and a most excellent week wrap up!

      • Southern Girl

        Greg,

You last statement, “As far as the Pope, we are all sinners but I expect judgment for him will be harsh”….I TOTALLY agree. As a practicing Catholic who is conservative I agree with what you have said. I personally believe that every priest is responsible for his Parrish and all the parishioners to a certain extent …the local Bishop to his district and so on …So the Pope is responsible to all the Catholics on the planet…wouldn’t want to be in his shoes.

As I have said before…this Pope is not my Pope. He is going along with the elite with global warming…cannot believe his was elected by the Holy Spirit. I stay with the churches teachings and all the rest, but just cannot go along with his agenda. I believe in reversals…things that sound and look good, but look a little deeper and you will find a stinker.

        • sw

          SG,

Actually, the Catholic Church does not claim that the Holy Spirit chooses the pope. That is a human decision by the cardinals. What the Church teaches is that the pope is free from error by the protection of the Holy Spirit when he speaks for the Church on faith and morals alone. Therefore, by Church teaching, he CAN be wrong on science (e.g., global warming) since that is not an area of faith or morals. Catholics are not obliged to agree with him on these issues, or when we makes off-hand remarks even on faith or morals (because then he would be speaking for himself, not the Church).

Greg, a little side note on gold. Last purchase 12650.00 C
Maples, dealer will buy for 1678.00 today, hell thats better than money in the bank.

Greg, why not have a Watchdog Gathering, I know I have mentioned it before but why not get all these great posters together, like Vegas central to everyone sell tickets up front to book the cost of the venue, “hell I will bring my wife” if you Jerry and Mohamed , Colin, bring theirs, we can send em shopping, while we discuss what matters.

Get a couple of key speakers in for the event, etc charge 400.00 bucks up front to cover the costs.

If the girls are not interested then we can always go on a raft ride down the Colorado River in Arizona, via Papillon Tours, “cheaper than playing the futures market and a better rush” for less money.

Seriously, “Would You Guys Out There Like To Get Together” and catch up with each other.

“We all know were getting screwed which is why we are on this site” at least we can get together and form alternate strategies, with our financial affairs”.

  10. Clive

Hi Greg. I really enjoyed this weeks News Wrap-up.
I must be getting cynical – you know after 911, London attacks, Paris attacks etc. – but the instant I heard about the bombing in Turkey, I thought Red-Flag. All of a sudden Erdoğan has a ‘legitimate’ excuse to invade Syria. You just know that Turkey, Saudi Arabia, US (Israel) are going to something crazy, and like you I feel that WW3 is being orchestrated.
The timing of the crisis in Syria and the impending bank failures in Europe are dove-tailing perfectly.
Totally agree with your assessment of the Pope.

    Greg,
Yes, the banks are in trouble–in the U.S. look no further than Wells Fargo. Why, Wells Fargo you ask? Just recently they had “bank emergency” drills. When you couple this with an eastern European Country’s banks now amassing ammo as a measure to address possible upcoming monetary shortages—the “smartest people in any room” must see bad times a coming.

            Greg, SOD
Yes this is globally a big deal!
Wells Fargo was the largest bank in the world in 2015 by market capitalisation….dubious as a measure this may well be…but they still came in at #14 measured by total assets.
            Cheers

Dude, 112 handguns and 200K rounds of ammo ain’t a stockpile. How many rounds do you think it takes to become and to keep proficient? I had more guns than this in my late twenties and that much in 22lr alone. [Wish is still did]
If you are a serious shooter and serious about survival, you are shooting regularly . I am shooting a hundred 45’s and 22s a week. I’d like to shoot more but I can’t afford more until my reloading is set up.

I subscribe to Jim Willie’s Hat Trick Letter. In his February 2016 letter he included an article from “YourNewswire.com that covers the recent Wells Fargo emergency drills. Hope this helps.

      • Shadow of Doubt

        JMiller,
This info came from a long-time bank employee who works within the 2nd largest financial region of the United States.

        • JMiller

Someone employed for three years is not a long time. The info supposedly came from some mysterious teller. Wells Fargo execs are not going to tell their peon employees such details ahead of time. And what kind of drill is needed to open and close a bank door for three people at a time? The reason why 99% of the ALT media did not bother to report it is because it is not credible.

          • Shadow of Doubt

            JMiller,
I am not convinced we are dealing with a truthful and transparent organization when it comes to our financial institutions. Our ability to monitor their activities via the internet, are as laughable as the MASH character, Col. Flagg hiding in a MASH unit’s garbage can in hopes of collecting creditable “intel” on the N. Koreans and Chinese.

        • JMiller

          Shadow of Doubt,

I tried to post this before but it never even appeared in “moderation”. Are you referring to that person who claims to be a bank teller as I read on a few sites like the one below?

          http://investmentwatchblog.com/wells-fargo-insider-says-bank-is-preparing-for-emergency-scenario/

          • Shadow of Doubt

            JMiller,
This was not the source I was using! It was a primary source, in scholarly circles this is known as a first hand account, or based on direct knowledge.

            • JMiller

Thanks for the clarification. Can you share any details about these “bank emergency” drills at Wells Fargo?

              • Shadow of Doubt

                JMiller,
Those in the know have been amazingly tight lipped, but if there are any amazing revelations in the near future-I’ll certainly forward them to Mr. Hunter to share with his discerning followers.

The only stress test we need to know is; if most people went to their bank and withdrew their cash how many banks would have it? None.
Its that simple. This stress test is to pacify people. Just my opinion.

Thanks again for the excellent job you do.

Greg do you think they are waiting for something possibly war or even cosmic before they let this market go? The markets rallied and now are just treading water. I can’t help feeling h they are waiting for an event to let it all go.?

Ijust watched a clip of some Fox news presstitutes who had Trump on the phone and continue to defend the Bush family on 911 They had the audacity to show Giuiliani who said Trump was wrong and Trump countered that he could care less what the former mayor says All the while they had some blonde with a lowcut sweater smiling and not ccontributing anything How pathetic is the MSM Go TRUMP 2016 and the pope should just zip it already

The consensus amongst people I know in NZ is one of total astonishment that Trumpet is even in the race. The fact that he is a leading contender absolutely confirms to us that the US has totally lost its way. Equally astonishing is Hitlery remaining in the top three and this effectively removes any remaining doubt.

Trumpet’s one redeeming feature that I can see, is his willingness to work with Putin. Every time he opens his mouth he sounds more like an out of control drunken sailor, than a serious contender as leader of the most powerful [and dangerous] country on the globe.

Thanks Greg for a great wrap-up.

Saudi Arabia may be talking about going to war in Syria, but it will never happen. It’s all Arab bluster. And even if they did cross the border into Syria, the first Russian strafing of Saudi ground troops will result in a very quick about-face.

In two months it will get hot and dry. Ramadan begins in early June. They’ll quickly miss the comforts of life and hanging out with their friends. If that doesn’t deflate their balloon, the lack of food, water, shelter, bullets, and fuel for vehicles will. You can’t fight a war without a significant and dependable logistical infrastructure. And they don’t have it. They also don’t have the financial resources to fight a protracted war.

There is zero nationalism in Saudi Arabia. It’s tribal. And your average Saudi grunt isn’t about to fight and die for the royal family. In fact, non-royal Saudis despise the royal family. And even if they were willing to fight for the royal family, they lack the discipline, skills, fortitude, and courage to wage war. Saudis join the military because it’s a job. It is that simple. Fight? Who said anything about having to fight!

If Saudi Arabia does invade Syria it will be with hired mercenaries from Pakistan, Nepal (Gurkhas), Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and India. It will be those desperate souls who need food and who are willing to fight for the promise of money that they can send home to their families. In fact, the first South Asians to fight for Saudi Arabia will be the tea boys and house help currently working in Saudi Arabia.

We think of our Arab allies in western terms. Big mistake. And even though Turkey has a capable military, they, too, will lose. After the Russians whip the Saudis, they’ll be able to turn their attention to Turkey. It will be over so quickly that NATO won’t even have time to pull together a committee to discuss “next steps”, much less come to the aid of Turkey.

  17. Tommy

I’ve seen and heard numerous Catholic spokespeople commenting that “Trump goes to war with Pope”, or “Trump attacks Pope” and that this was going to be The Donald’s downfall. And I’m thinking, how you all been watching what has been going on the past year. This attack, which was from the Pope, not Trump, will bolster Trump. First, he didn’t attack the Pope. He responded, in a very calm and diplomatic way, to the Pope saying that Trump was not a Christian. Yes, I’ve heard the backtracking from the Catholic Church saying he only said building walls and not bridges was not a Christian thing to do, but we heard what he said and we heard Trump’s response and believe me, as a Christian I am on Trump’s side on this and these kind of ad hominem attacks push me toward Trump because like you said Greg, Trump must be over the target. I believe Trump will gain more from Christian and non-Christian alike. As a non-Catholic, I never put much stock in the Pope, but always had respect for the man who was the Pope because they conducted themselves in a positive manner. The current occupant of the Vatican is anti-Christ. To say that Christ’s life ended in failure means that God is a failure and this Pope will probably be the last Pope.

    Greg,
According to this report tactical nukes have been used in Syria for quite some time.
    https://youtu.be/wZSXz4pzwYY
When you’re fighting with proxy armies, it only makes sense to use M-80’s instead of firecrackers. You know, you get more bang for the buck? Turkey will be used as a proxy army by the desperate western banking cabal to try and drag Russia into a war and stall off the planed startup of the BRICS parallel Exchange System. But guess what? Short of an all out invasion, Putin will not take the bait. The BRICS will patiently wait until every last drop of Gold is drained from the COMEX and then cut us loose. You can bet that deals with western banks are being cut now behind closed doors as we approach the Gold Benchmark in April. Somewhere along the way Deutsche Bank will take a dump in their own mess kit. Count on it.

Know your enemy before you pick a fight with them. While America has been dumping money into satellite weaponry, Russia has been perfecting its pulse weaponry witch will render these assets useless. In your survival preparation’s you should factor in plans to address EMP attacks. 22. TB

    Greg,
    1. Internet commentators have stated if there was no autopsy for someone this high up, that in itself is evidence of what happened (and in the world as we experience it, most often all we get is that level of evidence to base opinions on).
    2. Read Apple’s response. They said the FBI did not ask them to crack just this IPhone but instead to build an operating system that could then be installed on any and all IPhones that will give them the key, allowing them to monitor all calls, bug citizens even when the phone is off, look through their camera, and track their location (similar to what they have with Windows?). Your discussion of this is vague. Now I don’t know if it is possible for them to crack this IPhone without doing this since they may have built an uncrackable phone. My concern is limiting government power at least thru the next election (if that even occurs, “Trump will never be President”, what does that mean when he represents a dissatisfaction with government, especially lying, held by 75% of the people).
    3. You say “this war is intended” without saying by whom…probably dangerous to identify the whom…but yes, it sure might knock up oil prices and possibly save some banks…I like the movie 3 Days Of The Condor…
    4. I think Putin has the technology to destroy an invasion without using nuclear weapons, and that using them might provide the justification sought for domestic marshal law (including the “postponement” of elections). Also I think it is clear from many sources that before escalating Putin will drop a T-Bomb (truth bomb) and that Washington does NOT want this, that may be the essence of deterrence at this point. Also, there is the statement by the Saudis last week (Wed.) that they will not attack without US guidance…this may have effectively destroyed the ability of Washington to use the Saudis and Turks as deniable proxies. So I am expecting if war occurs Washington would not do it without declaring marshal law and severely limiting Internet access. Sources say essentially the threat of the T-Bomb was used to convince Kerry to return from his earlier visit saying yes, Assad does not have to go.
    5. Regarding the attack in question (CA) there are loose edges and things may not all be as they appear. You notice Trump is now saying even 9-11 was not an attack by Iraqis…the public is not ready for a deeper probe in election remarks…the analysis of 9-11 by engineers is on the net and there are inconsistencies with the given narrative as concluded by the government. If 9-11 is open to question I think many “events” are open to alternative conclusions. I urge you to avoid the denigrating term “conspiracy theory” when examining these, after all, are there conspiracies, you’d have to be dense to think that is uncommon, and if one does not have theories, but simply accepts what others say, one is apt to be surprised.

    • RTW

      TB:
You’re absolutely right on all points. For years, the government has been shutting people’s mouths and minds by using labels. When a questionable event occurs, they immediately apply terms like racist, truther, denier and the ever popular “conspiracy theorist” while snickering for an added effect. So, most people swallow the official story rather than being labeled. It’s called control.

  23. ED1

Good WNW, Greg. We know the economical situation is getting way out of hand when the main stream media admits it. Shame on them for “Peddling Fiction” like that. 🙂

Really like your analogy of “You can’t put any more lipstick on this pig and expect a wonderful kiss”.

However, I’m not so sure Russia will use nukes unless the situation becomes really out of control in Syria. It’s to my belief that Putin does not want to use nukes in less it’s a last option. I would think that as powerful Russia is that they can still do a huge amount of damage with their conventional weapons…….such as regular cruise missiles, fighter aircraft, tanks, artillery and ground troops if necessary. Hopefully I am correct. God help us all if I am wrong. I do agree that things are definitely heating up in the Middle East region. We need to stay the heck out of that place. Wouldn’t be wonderful if the USA would become friends with Russia, do trade transactions such as oil, so we can stay out of the ME.

I do believe we are living in the last days as it is written in the Bible and there’s nothing we can do to change it. Just have to keep praying, take care of essentials, and do the best we can do.

    God Speed.

    Reality check.

Bonnie (hillary) whether we like it or not will be the next president. Trump will meet an unfortunate accident the likes of judge Scalia but not so easily discernable! As I write these words there’s things happening in this world that nobody know about and the NWO will be implemented! China, Russia, US, Europe, Great Britain and India are all in CAHOOT to implement this NWO. They are all together following the chosen path by the elites for this NWO. One just has to look at the front cover for 2015 and 2016 which was front running in the Economist to see the legitimacy of my claim! (Notice no Donald) The Economist know who are their friends! David Rockefeller has lately admited and alerted the world to this fact… The NWO will become reality!

The lack of transparency on Journalist articles, reports, photos and the body language of leaders often don’t match the theme. Where we have a smiling, relaxed Obama and Putin… there should be a more somber atmosphere photo to fit the scenario and written text! There’s a flagrant lack of seriousness in showing leaders who seem to be enjoying themselves in situation that demand a more serious reflection! The is no need for transparency… they’re in cahoot and everything is part of the plan!

Things get out of hand… quickly errant boy Kerry is sent to Russia to coordinate inflections… one can feel that there is a global conspiracy happening. The Fukushima incident poisoning the ocean’s… the ebola virus failure but now the zika virus spreading and they are not saying why it’s so dangerous… what are they not telling us is the question we should all ask ourselves! The reel reason for the war in Siria (huge false flag) is to create CHAOS around the world so they can implement new laws to erode our democratic rights and hence create anarchy. The why’s of Fema camps who will soon be filled with dissident Americans who don’t tow the line! The same goes for Europe!

I believe that short of we exterminating ourselves, there is nothing that man kind can really do to stop this ongoing evil process! We are all being led down the garden path and we will all wake up one day (those still alive) and be controlled by programmed robots who will follow the elites will!!

Money… greed will have been our final epitaph. For in looking for the American dream we let them take complete control of our minds in the illusion that wealth is the road to happiness instead of moral values!

    Gil

  25. sw

I am very grateful for all your work, Greg, and recommend your site to friends and family. Great job today, as always. However, I did want to clarify for Pope Francis on some of your points as I have a master’s in Catholic Moral Theology. The MSM spins what comes out of his mouth for their agendas, especially in how they phrase headlines. However, it is true that Pope Francis has had much less experience on the global field than his predecessors and sometimes says things in ways that can easily be taken the wrong way. It is frustrating to say the least. I will give one example you mentioned in the WNW, as I was personally at the World Meeting of Families in PA: “Humanly speaking, Christ’s death on the cross was a failure.” In context, this means that at the time of Jesus’ death, in the eyes of the world (which were blind to Him and what He was doing for us) He was a failure. Pope Francis never meant that Jesus’ death was in fact a failure, or that it did not profoundly shape human history. Rather, his intent was the opposite. His point was that we ought to see with God’s eyes and not the eyes of the world. What seemed to be the greatest failure of all (to men) is in fact the greatest victory for mankind the world will ever know. If you read what he has written (as I have) you will see that this is the case.

I would be happy to talk to you about any other issues you have with Catholicism if you would like. As far as Her teachings go, there is a sound explanation for everything. Most who are opposed to Catholicism do not understand the Church’s teachings. As for the scandals, I know they were rightfully a saddening shock for you and many other Catholics. However, I would like to point out (without excusing the abusers) that Jesus had His Judas too. We cannot judge a church based on the failure of individuals to live up to the teachings of the church. We should instead judge the church on the teachings themselves, and if they are the same as Christ’s.

Thanks again for all you do!

    • Greg Hunter

Sorry SW but I call BS on your explanation. Why would a Pontiff make a mass audience statement that required this kind of an academic explanation? I think his statement means exactly what it says. The Pope told the world the Christ was a “failure.” The Pope would not think of making this kind of statement about Islam or Mohammad. Do you think this Pope would say Mohammad was a “failure” in any way, shape or form? I think not. Here’s another of the many false statements this anti-Christ pope has made: (Some) “think they can have a personal, direct, immediate relationship with Jesus Christ outside of the communion and the mediation of the Church. Such temptations are dangerous and harmful.” This totally contradicts the Bible and Christ’s own words. Here’s a video of the Pope saying it:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmjAjrlrE10 The Pope also says atheists can get to heaven by going good deeds. http://www.catholic.org/news/hf/faith/story.php?id=51077 More lies by this Pope that directly contradict the Bible. The Pope also supports civil unions which is a back door endorsement of gay marriage. He condemns Donald Trump, but refuses to weigh in on this issue in his home country : http://www.gaystarnews.com/article/pope-francis-stays-out-of-italy-civil-unions-debate-as-senate-vote-delayed-to-next-week/#gs.KdRi9Cs The Pope should crack open the Bible and read it, especially the last paragraph : “I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book; 19and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book.…” The Pope’s “leadership” is too stupid to be stupid. It is pure evil. Thank you for your comment and support.

      Greg

By the way, I am no longer Catholic (Catholics are good people it is the Pope I have a problem with) but I am still a Christian and I do have a personal relationship with Christ. I assure you I am not in any sort of “danger.”

      • sw

        Thanks for the reply, Greg.

I encourage everyone to see the context of the pope’s remarks for themselves. Here is the quote and the link:

“We can get caught up measuring the value of our apostolic works by the standards of efficiency, good management and outward success which govern the business world. Not that these things are unimportant! We have been entrusted with a great responsibility, and God’s people rightly expect accountability from us. But the true worth of our apostolate is measured by the value it has in God’s eyes. To see and evaluate things from God’s perspective calls for constant conversion in the first days and years of our vocation and, need I say, it calls for great humility. The cross shows us a different way of measuring success. Ours is to plant the seeds: God sees to the fruits of our labors. And if at times our efforts and works seem to fail and produce no fruit, we need to remember that we are followers of Jesus… and his life, humanly speaking, ended in failure, in the failure of the cross.”

        • Greg Hunter

          SW,
I see you narrowed your response to only this point on Christ being a “failure.” I still say I am not buying this. His closing sentence means what it says. Do you think the Pope is justified in being a proponent of global change legislation?? Do you defend the Pope when he says atheists can get to heaven?? Do you defend the Pope when he is a proponent of civil unions?? Do you think it is “dangerous” to have a personal relationship with Christ?? I like Catholics and the Catholic Doctrine (Christ is the Son of God, Born of the Virgin Mary, died and washed our sins with his blood, died on the cross and rose again, will return to judge the living and the dead) is spot on. This Pope–not so much. Thank you for your comment even though we disagree on this Pope. By the way, You NEVER heard about these kinds of things with Pope John Paul–Ever. There is a reason why the last paragraph of the Bible reads the way it does, and this Pope should read it.
          Greg

          • sk

The emphasis is on “HUMANLY speaking”, i. e. the HUMANS of that time thought it was a failure. After all, Jesus had died. From God’s point of view, however, it was a success, and it would only become more successful with time, as Jesus’ message was magically compelling. It spoke to people, to a moral compass within people, that was diametrically opposite to the opinions of the secular powers of that time. That, I think, is what the pope meant.

            • Greg Hunter

              SK,
I think the emphasis is on “failure” and I DO NOT buy the explanation. What the Pope said means what it means. Christ was an un-paralleled success by orders of magnitude. Christ is THE most important person to be born–EVER. What year is this? 2016 Is there only 2016 years of global history??? If the Pope cannot make clear positive statements about the God he represents, then maybe he should not be Pope. If a nitwit like me, who is not by any means an expert on the Bible, can read it and point out obvious conflicts with the Popes words and actions with the Bible, then the Pope is wrong. Not because I say so–BECAUSE THE BIBLE SAYS SO!!! I rest my case. Thank you for your comment even though I totally disagree.
              Greg

    • Jerry

      SW.
The Pope is a puppet for the globalist, pure and simple. He spews Marxist rhetoric wherever he goes. If he cares so much about immigrants and the poor as he says he does, he should tear down the “WALLS” of the Vatican and let then in. And while he’s at it disarm the Vatican guards to, since he doesn’t believe in violence.

I’m sorry, but I have a deep hatred for your church. My cousin was molested by a Catholic Priest when he was only ten years old. The Church did absolutely nothing to this man but move him to another State. My cousin eventually committed suicide after years of counseling. As far as I am concerned, any church who would enable a pedophile is of the devil.

      • Silence is Golden

        Jerry,
The Vatican has much darkness within….and this is conveyed through the actions of its Pope and the entire Clergy. The RCC stands on high moral grounds in direct contrast…laughable. It is the root of much evil in this world.

      • Colin - 'the farmer from NZ'

        Jerry
        You said…
“I’m sorry, but I have a deep hatred for your church.
Who could blame you for that?

The sexual atrocities committed by RCC are well documented and span many centuries. The current Pope has done very little to confront this issue:
        http://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/feb/06/british-victim-steps-down-from-vatican-inquiry-into-clerical-sex-abuse

The previous pope Ratzinger AKA Pope Benedict was a thoroughly nasty piece of work and his career in relocating and covering up abuses makes absolutely astonishing reading.
        The list of links re his career is about as long as your arm but here are just two that should make the hair stand up on the back of your neck;
        http://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/feb/11/pope-complicit-child-abuse-say-victims
        http://foreignpolicy.com/2013/02/22/the-skeletons-in-benedicts-closet/criminality

I know exactly how the supporters of this church will come at me on this one. They will claim that the incidence of abuse is statistically not unlike that of society at large. I will say as appalling as the scale of the abuse is in the Catholic church is, it pales into insignificance when compared to the criminality of their organised massive cover-up of their crimes.

The fact that the heads of RCC and the Russian Orthodox Church just had their very first official meeting in more than 1000 years illustrates once again their unbelievable hypocrisy..it took 1000 years for them to even talk… WTF!

What I personally cannot reconcile is the appalling bigotry of so many of our churches and religions. This is one of the many reasons why I renounce all faiths as just another form of politics. IMHO they are all based on at best folklore, and at worst childlike fairy tales.

The division both between religions aa well as within, has resulted in perpetual war and suffering on a massive scale throughout the millenniums. The fact that TPTB has now opportunistically seized on this friction and learnt how to cultivate it, has handed them on a plate their most effective weapon to use against Mainstreet and to advance their military investment and their profit and of course their NWO agenda . At this very moment, they are dining out on this and laughing and joking at the naive gullibility of the masses.

        Cheers

          Further to my above post.

The British comedy “Blackadder” was probably not well known in the US. It’s satirical comment re the Church will not be well received by the puritanical but I have to say IMHO I am afraid there is a certain element of tragic truth to this.

Colin I remember well my late father feeling the same way as you regarding the hypocrisy and evil of the Roman Catholic church in the 60s Our neighbor was a socalled good Catholic who owned a car dealership and would occasionally donate a new Lincoln town car to the priests to tool around town in luxury for which they would hold a special mass for him Meanwhile it turned out that he was a mafia member and involved in a lot of dirty business indeed Not at all shocking given what has come to light over the last 4 decades regarding the churches actions

    6. One more point, some sources are stating the deposing of Erdogan by the Turkish military is imminent. Thus the bus being blown up with some Turkish military officers is open to alternative interpretation. Another source describes Erdogan as a “cornered rat” therefore stating his behavior is very unpredictable.

More thoughts on the ever escalating War on Cash:

-The reason they think they can herd everyone out of paper cash is because they herded everyone into paper cash a century ago… or more precisely, their ancestors herded your ancestors into paper cash. Until you prove otherwise, they will continue thinking they are the masters.

-Why should a farmer with the capacity to capture a bunch of wild boar and place them in a pen, think he can not move them to a new pen when he’s ready?

Above are two insightful and accurate quotes from a Zerohedge poster under the nom de plume Gaius Frakkin’ Baltar. But I’d like to add, TPTW will also attempt to herd us into WAR if we take the bait.

    Hi Greg,

I am a new watcher and love your coverage of current events. Your site is one of the best.

As you have been covering in past episodes the world banks are crumbling. As a suggestion maybe you should do a report on the life insurance industry . With all the annuities being sold I wonder how they are going to meet commitments especially if we get a collapse in the bond markets. Do you have any guests or archived reports on this?

    Thanks again

Greg, the Pope needs to tear down the Vatican walls, order the Vatican police to cease and desist intruders allowing many of the religion of peace refugees to have a place of refuge, and, I suggest they open up the walls for Friday prayers as well; after all, as he has said, we all worship the same God.

Greg: 2016 will be an election year to end all election years. Isn’t is amazing that the system is so corrupt and in-your-face; they don’t try to hide it anymore. I’m referring to the super delegates already in the bag for Hillary; the people’s vote be damned!!! Then there’s the subtle push for Rubio, the Establishment (and Zionist) favorite whose obvious lack of depth is astounding. My opinions of Gowdy, Scott, and Haley, the 3 prominent SC politicians have dropped off the proverbial cliff. And you just know that anything and everything will be thrown at Trump, including a brokered convention, and possible “accident”.

Yes. This will be an interesting year.

Thanks Greg, most of your analysis what spot on. Syria could go south very quickly, seriously not looking good. Will Deutsche Bank have a Lehman event? Yeah, that’s looking very likely, at which point all hell breaks loose in international banking. This Pope is raising the political side of the Vatican/Catholic Church back to where it was when the Kings of Europe (France, England, Spain, et al ) kissed his ring — hardly the Franciscan he wants the world to see and more the Jesuit he is. He should STFU regarding U.S. politics rather than dragging the church down into the mud pit. O’ hated Scalia (and yes, I think it was personal) and his not attending is just O’ showing the world his true feelings. I’m sure that behind the doors of the Oval Office O’ had a good time following the news out of Texas (on that note, the judge/justice of the peace who signed off on no autopsy should be impeached, totally unprofessional).

As for Apple, as I understand it (you may have different info), what the FBI is asking for is essentially a master key to unlock this particular Apple iPhone. However, once the FBI has the master key they would be able to open “ANY” iPhone. I have no problem with the FBI having Apple develop software and open the San Bernardino iPhone, but I don’t want the FBI to keep the software and that’s what they want. If I’m mistaken regarding what the FBI wants, please correct my error.

    • Russ

FBI is now saying that Apple can keep the master key.
      http://www.newsmax.com/Newsfront/US-Apple-Encryption/2016/02/20/id/715276/
      That’s reasonable.

      • Greg Hunter

        Russ,
They have overstepped and they know it. The FBI or anyone else should NOT have access to all I-Phone 6 platforms but this phone used by ISIS inspired Islamic terrorists if fair game and should be opened ASAP. I hope Apple complies now.
        Greg

        • Russ

Greg – I’d be willing to bet (if I was a betting man) that this court ruling was done following a negotiation between FBI and Apple. Owners of the phone have already consented to the search so there are no 4th Amendment impediments. Now that ownership and control of the software has been resolved, it’s just a matter of Apple’s software engineers developing the fix.

          • Greg Hunter

This is what should happen and the FBI can go after theses murdering terrorists. The FBI has smartly and rightfully backed down: http://www.newsmax.com/Newsfront/US-Apple-Encryption/2016/02/20/id/715276/ The San Bernardino couple had a lot of help. I hope the Feds jail every one of these Islamic Radical weasels.

One quote in the article is curious:
              Quote
“We’ve handed over all the data we have, including a backup of the iPhone in question,” Apple said in the blog post. “But now they have asked us for information we simply do not have.”
              Unquote
So how did Apple get a back-up of the iPhone to hand over without breaking the phone’s encryption? Curious.

  40. Jan

Greg, I’m glad you pointed out that Jesus did not meddle with the politics of his day, unlike the current “Vicar of Christ”. I am astonished by what he said, given that he himself lives in the Vatican, not to mention the fact that historically, many Catholic monasteries and convents are walled off, and intruders kept out.

At the Town Hall on CNN last night, Trump explained that the wall is necessary to ensure people enter the U.S. LEGALLY and to cut off the massive flow of drugs pouring in. Trump said everywhere he went in New Hampshire, their Number One concern was heroin addiction. Americans need a wall for protection from the drug dealers and criminals that keep coming in.

All at once, I realized it is hypocritical for millions of Mexicans and Latinos to protest a wall at the border. Let me explain why.

I spent a year teaching English in a Central American city where I boarded in a typical middle-class house secured by a fence all around the property (yard). I could only enter the premises when the maid unlocked the gate and let me in. Despite this measure of security, there were three break-ins on “my” street alone, where burglars stole all the money, cameras, jewelry, etc. they could find while the maids had to hide in bathrooms. The situation is so bad throughout Latin America, that in many places, the concrete walls are capped with shards of glass to make it even nastier to break in. (Do a Google images “shards of glass on wall” to see this visually).

If you take Pope Francis’s words to heart, though, EVERYONE in the world who lives in a walled or fenced-in property with a locked gate (including millions of Mexicans) is “not a Christian”!! Furthermore, if building a wall is not “Christian”, then shouldn’t he get busy dismantling his own walls or tearing down the walls of monasteries, convents, etc?

    • Faith

Jan, I watched an episode of House Hunters Intenational last year and it showed a nice young married couple that was moving from South Africa to the country next door, Namibia. The requirements to move were quite strict. The young man already had secured a job, but he also had to have a phone, a bank account, and a car along with permission from Namibia (which took months) prior to be allowed to simply rent an apartment and work in that country.

This is the HGTV episode: http://www.hgtv.com/shows/house-hunters-international/episodes/baby-steps-from-johannesburg-south-africa-to-windhoek-namibia
(If people have not seen this episode you can find it on Amazon prime or via Xfinity).

The most shocking part about this program was seeing the security around the housing units. They also had thick concrete walls topped with glass shards but also with sharp metal spikes as well as multiple strands of high-voltage electrical wires. Even inside the compound the windows and doors also had decorative iron bars. Certainly part of the measures were to keep out wildlife but I had the impression that some of the security measures were also meant to deter people from breaking in as well.

The young couple were educated, married, responsible and it was very difficult for them to move to a neighboring country. I know as a resident of the US that I take a lot for granted. I also think that people take the US for granted and abuse the generosity of this country. But people like Trump are called bad names for wanting even minimal standards and controls in order to live and work in the US. Living and working in the US is a privilege not a right.

Greg, this is my first comment on your site. I just wanted to say “great Weekly Wrap-Up!” I really enjoy your blog and your guests and your perspective on things. Keep up the good work! One thing I am a little less sure of than you, however, is whether the Republican Senate will block Obama’s nominee to replace SCJ Scalia. It seems to me that all the critical issues that depend on Mitch McConnell always disappoint conservatives. McConnell is a RINO in the worst sense. He (like Boehner and Ryan) always talks tough about Obama policies or illegal Executive Actions, but he folds every single time. Kentucky needs to WAKE UP and vote him out of office….he is killing the country! Of course Arizona needs to also WAKE UP and vote McCain out of office, but that is a topic for another day. Anyway, I hope you are right, but I am not counting on it. Respectfully, Frank “D2” from Georgetown, TX.

    http://www.mostholyfamilymonastery.com/catholicchurch/anti-pope-francis-vatican-ii-antipopes/#.Vsc4q169GwY
If you just see the pictures of the last popes, you have to ask if they are even christians.
If you know the bible than you know about what I am writing.
But as you konw, the catholic church is the church of the endtimes.
So it is important for the endtimes, to know something about the “old” catholic church.

The “new” catholic church destroyed the old mass. So you just have to ask yourself: why did they destroyed the old mass? If this mass is not important, they do not need to destroy it. You have to find all those things out and what happend in the past and than it is much easier to understand what is going on today. Go once in the old catholic mass and than you konw why Satan must destroy this mass.
It will be easier to understand with a little book of the mass latin/english
    http://www.amazon.com/Holy-Sacrifice-Mass-According-Tridentine/dp/1503060969/ref=sr_1_5?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1455897659&sr=1-5&keywords=tridentine+mass
and here you will find places where they celebrate the old mass:
    http://www.latinmassschedule.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&id=54&Itemid=7
So why do I write all this things?
After the big chaos here on earth, Satan will lose his battle and there will be only one mass for all humans on this planet and if you go back to the early christians, they did celeberate the same old mass. This mass is made by Jesus Christ and all other mass is made by humans. Don`t belief me! Search by yourself!!

  43. Linda L.

    Greg:
Islam is a political machine, but so is the Catholic Church, both being so since their creation, as history clearly demonstrates. Currently the Catholic Church is taking grant money from the government in the multi-millions of dollars to resettle all the refugees at US taxpayer’s expense, so of course the Pope is going to encourage Americans (including Trump) to be Christian like by taking in all these millions of refugees. I was also raised as a child in a Catholic household, but saw the light at a very young age (thank God!). I know some great Catholics, but the institution itself is a filthy, corrupt organization. You’re right when you say that the Catholic Church should take in a few of these refugees. AND I think that the Vatican should also sell some of their vast amounts of real estate, art and jewels to assist the refugees, but of course this won’t happen because the C. Church is too busy with a convenient “do as I say, not as I do” attitude. Have a great weekend!

Greg, has any Pope ever condemned the Catholic priests that abused young children, immediately ordered their excommuication and stated that they are not Christain. Any priest that molests young chidren is the servant of the devil. Any one in the Catholic church, at whatver level, who has tried to cover these activities up or not condemn them has no moral standing to question another man or womens Christain beliefs.

  48. Randy

Great job Greg. Love what you had to say about salvation through Christ alone (by faith alone & not works). The story of the world after the fall has always been one of oppression. The weak against the strong. Those opposed to Christ and all that Christians represent. The oppression has been ratcheted up and accelerated big time since 08′ as the elite lose control. One of my daily meditations comes from Isaiah 51:

    “I, I am he who comforts you;
who are you that you are afraid of man who dies,
of the son of man who is made like grass,
13 and have forgotten the Lord, your Maker,
    who stretched out the heavens
and laid the foundations of the earth,
and you fear continually all the day
because of the wrath of the oppressor,
when he sets himself to destroy?
And where is the wrath of the oppressor?
    14 He who is bowed down shall speedily be released;
he shall not die and go down to the pit,
neither shall his bread be lacking.

    and Psalm 2

    Why do the nations rage[a]
and the peoples plot in vain?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves,
and the rulers take counsel together,
against the Lord and against his Anointed, saying,
3 “Let us burst their bonds apart
and cast away their cords from us.”
    4 He who sits in the heavens laughs;
the Lord holds them in derision.
5 Then he will speak to them in his wrath,
and terrify them in his fury, saying,
6 “As for me, I have set my King
    on Zion, my holy hill.”

    Thanks for your work!

  49. Gideon

Hey Greg re apple’s non compliance to the federal government request, I think you did not do your research on what the government is asking apple, they wanted apple to build a backdoor for all of the os system so that the government can access it without any warrant, if they suspect anyone they will use the backdoor to see all the information on your iPhone. The iPhone becomes also becomes volnurable to other hackers. Apple complies to the Fed’s request when they issue a warrant, what the government wants s to access every iPhone without a warrant. I think Tim Cook did great by refusing to comply and protecting individual rights.

    • Greg Hunter

Sure Gideon, but they unlocked Smart Phones 70 times before (since 2008.) http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/02/17/apple-unlocked-iphones-for-the-feds-70-times-before.html?via=desktop&source=twitter They could offer to simply unlock the phone and help the FBI with a device that was involved in a mass murder and shooting that was at least inspired by ISIS. If there is another mass shooting and murder by radical Islamic terrorists that could have been stopped by unlocking this phone I don’t think people are going to be thinking Tim did the right thing. You do NOT have the personal “right” to be a terrorist and murder innocent in the name of Islam.
      Greg

      • Clare Doll

        Greg,
I must respectfully disagree with you here — You have been Sherlocked! Why the charade of asking? It is not the government’s right to have anything they want when this person has said “no.” And I don’t care what his reasoning is. He said, NO!

      • Sayonara

        Greg:
Doesn’t the NSA have this info already?
I reluctantly agree with you because the next time it might save thousands or millions from a WMD or nuclear attack. And that would be a bit of pity if it occurred and could have been prevented.

        • Greg Hunter

          Sayonara,
I don’t think so, at least not yet, otherwise they would not need Apple. This is a new feature on the latest I-phone which has been out about 1 year. Please let me emphasize again, Apple should only help the FBI get in to the phone used by the San Bernardino terrorist not all I-Phones.

          • Dan

Slippery slope, my friend. However, in this case, since the phone is owned by the county & the county gave permission, I agree completely.

          • Diana Dee Jarvis

The FBI is probably pushing for a back door because they’re tired of unlocking phones on a case by case basis.

      • Dan

        Greg,

I must put my 2 cents in here. In my opinion, this is just a carefully orchestrated ‘publicity stunt’ . I think a rational observer needs to put the San Bernadino shooting aside for a second and look at the bigger issue here.

I think that anyone who believes Tim Cook and Apple’s sincerity on wanting to “protect the privacy” of their iPhone users is UTTER NONSENSE. This is simply smoke and mirrors, propaganda, media-manipulation – whatever you want to call it – to get people to BELIEVE that they have the interests of their users and the “little” guy at heart. What total baloney! As you said, they “unlocked” 70 iPhones before.

Both Tim Cook and Apple are powerless in the face of the authorities. If they didn’t comply, the gov’t would be on them like white on rice regarding their billions in offshore unpaid taxes. Let’s not be naive folks! They are both in bed together and laughing at us so much now with this farce.

Furthermore, to support my claim that Tim Cook and Apple don’t give a rats ass about its users, the environment, or its workers but rather only their bottom line; you needn’t look further than how they treat their Chinese slaves who make their phones. Have a look at the 2014 BBC Panorama documentary entitled “Apple’s Broken Promises” (watch from http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2e1jkd_apples-broken-promises_news). Apple and Tim Cook are just like any other scum-of-the-earth greedy corporate evils and I wouldn’t be caught dead buying any of their products.

We got intelligent people here at USAWatchdog. Let’s not show them that we are falling into their false narratives and propaganda.

        Wise up!

  51. OutLookingIn

Facta Non Verba. Deeds not Words.
Is this not how you judge a person’s character, or a nations present intent, by their past actions? Not by what is said, but by what is done. The proof being in the pudding.

Turkey throughout it’s history has played the east/west or the west/east card, depending upon which way the wind is blowing and what their ultimate aims are.

During WW I Turkey (Ottoman Empire) backed Germany and the Austro/Hungarian Empire, fearing loss of any territory and an opportunity to expand it’s own Empire. The main result being a pogrom against the Armenian people, in which they committed mass murder of a most heinous nature.

During WW II Turkey was (supposedly) neutral but supported Hitler’s NAZI Germany with resources (90% of Germany’s chromium ore needs) throughout the entire conflict. As did another (supposedly) neutral country, Sweden shipping iron ore to Germany throughout the war years. To say nothing of Switzerland providing a financial pipeline to NAZI Germany and profiting handsomely in the process!

Nothing is at it seems on the surface. Jumping to any first conclusions is usually always wrong. Winston Churchill said (paraphrase) ‘To know where you are going, you first must know where you have been’. History may not repeat, but sometimes rhymes.

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Kind of cuts through all the BS don’t you think?

Yea, I am a good Catholic, never been touched by a priest, they’re lucky, because God knows I would of put a cap in their heads instead of sueing them. Anyway, this pope can go ” ——–” himself or have a priest do it for him. I know am going to hell for telling the pope, go ” —-” himself. But, I’ll see more popes down there then God does in heaven.

May We Live in Interesting Times-
I’m old enough to have remembered President John F. Kennedy. No American President since that time has spoken with such amazing grace, eloquence and inspiration–“Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country.” My father, who struggled as a small scale farmer and is long since gone, noted that under Kennedy things were starting to turn around for the little guy. I remember my junior high social studies teacher, who happened to be Roman Catholic, openly weeping as he shared with us in class the news of President Kennedy’s assassination. In many ways, the death of Kennedy was a major turning point for America.
Now the death of Justice Scalia. I think Joel Skousen of World Affairs Brief says it best:

SCALIA DEATH A MAJOR SETBACK FOR LIBERTY

Before Antonin Scalia’s suspicious death in Texas this week, there was a somewhat tenuous but often conservative majority in the Supreme Court leading to many 5-4 decisions that blocked executive actions that threatened liberty. It wasn’t a solid majority by any means, as demonstrated by the actions of unreliable conservatives like John Roberts, who betrayed conservatives on Obamacare, and Anthony Kennedy, who betrayed religious traditions and rights on the issue of gay marriage. With Scalia gone, at best conservatives can only hope for a 4-4 tie on several key issues looming before the court (which ends up affirming bad appellate court rulings). This week, I’ll cover the strange circumstances surrounding Scalia’s death and his sudden release of his body to the family without any investigation whatsoever into the cause of death. His death could not be more perfectly timed for the PTB: not only does it eliminate a conservative justice who believed in the original intent of the constitution, it allows Obama to appoint another anti-conservative justice on the Court before he leaves office. When that happens, we will never win another legal battle before the court, and many key protections like the Second Amendment may be overturned forever.

May God have mercy on America.

FLASHBACK: Scalia Dared, ‘What Can Obama Do To Me?’ – Supreme Court justice asked in 2012 if he worried about a potential Obama retaliation .
Late Associate Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia once appeared on Fox News declaring he was not afraid to vote against the establishment because what’s the worst that can happen?

In a July 2012 interview with Fox News Sunday’s Chris Wallace, Scalia was asked if he felt “pressured” by the administration to vote a certain way on Obama care after the president publicly called the court out during an April press conference.
After reviewing a clip of Obama saying he felt confident the Supreme Court would not overturn the Affordable Health Act legislation, Wallace asked, “Justice, what did you think of that?”

SCALIA: It’s unusual. But as I say, I don’t criticize the president publicly and he normally doesn’t criticize me.

WALLACE: Did you feel any pressure as a result of that to vote a certain way?

SCALIA: No. What can he do to me? Or to any of us? We have life tenure and we have it precisely so that we will not be influenced by politics, by threats from anybody.

    Greg,
Nowhere in the Koran does it say “all Christians will burn in Hell”. Please provide your proof. What the Koran does say is this, and yes you can look it up, rather than regurgitating hate,….

    The Holy Qur’an 2:62 –
Those who believe (in the Qur’an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who believe in God and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

It says Disbelievers will be the Loser’s in life. Disbeliever’s are those who do not believe in Allah (God, in English). Also Infidel’s are not Christians or Jews or non-Muslims. Infidel’s are those who are non-Muslim and want to kill Muslims because of their faith.

there is a lot of garbage out there about Islam because no on actually reads the Koran … or they take one verse and mis-interpret it.

  66. Sidewalk Apostle

    Greg,
I wish you would have discussed the desperate push by the recently-made-public Bankster scheme for a cashless society and the initiation of digital NIRPs. Zero Hedge Feb 16th article on Larry Summers, former Clinton treasury secretary, about getting rid of the $100 bill which is 78% of all total currency in circulation is another grab by the satanic cabal to destroy wealth and to prevent run on the banks. If this is allowed to come to fruition, I agree with the article that a “redux of Executive Order 6102 banning the possession of physical gold and demanding its return to the US government.” Then what? Where can we, the awoken, transfer our wealth from worthless fiat paper to a commodity of safe haven until the financial reset?

In regards to WW3, its sounding more and more like war to hide the collapse as Bill Holter has pointed out…“Look, Damascus will disappear! It will become a heap of ruins…” Isaiah 17. Is this military build-up foreshadowing the war of gog and magog? The mention of nuclear missiles in any war would bring credence to this prophecy. Besides, it has been rumored that neutron bombs have already been used in Yemen and the Ukraine (maybe those 10 neutron bombs Papa Bush left at the door step of Iran?).

Allegedly, BO secretly met with Justice Scalia on his Gulfstream C-37A jet out of Andrews Air Force base on his trip to Marfa Airport. According to the article on, whatdoesitmean.com, Justice Scalia’s US Marshal protection service was dismissed and personal protection transferred to the Secrect Service… what??? Further, the private jet was escorted by 2 F-16 fighter jets to Texas and continued to follow the private jet to Los Angeles Air Force Base… hours later, Justice Scalia dead with a pillow over his head? Has anyone questioned BO if he had a private meeting with Scalia hours prior to his death???
The socialist Khazerian mafia pulling out all the stops to keep their evil reign in full control.

“Put on the full armor of God, so that you will stand firm against the the schemes of the devil… for our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the ruler, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places”… Ephesians 6

I decided to take a trip down memory lane…and found this piece from a couple of years ago….thought it was relevant to re-post it.

    Silence is Golden 12/03/2014 •
    Paul,
When you say ” humanity must root out the evil CABAL from their governments, military’s, industrial and financial institutions and bring them immediately to justice” I strongly agree.
However many before us have made valiant attempts and yet the establishment remains unmolested and more powerful than ever.
A quick glance shows that the system is in lock down. It is impossible to change it within its own parameters. It is designed to be resistant to anything other than revolution, but there are few revolutionaries left in the world. The Current World Order’s system is close to perfection. It is a matrix of absolute control. Only a small number of people (some 6,000) run the world, yet they are backed up by all the agencies of oppression: the police, the military, the intelligence services, the law (designed, ultimately, to protect the assets of the rich). The billions of ordinary people in the world, who could sweep away tyranny in an instant, are too scared to fight back. They are cowed and docile.
Until the masses no longer tolerate the condition of slavery, no longer mire themselves in trivia and meaningless pursuits to pass the time, we shall remain at their mercy. Above all things however, the Current World Order fear what would happen if their manufactured mastery were challenged by legions of those who had found their higher selves and lost their fear. As it stands we collectively are no threat to the Establishment for we are too compliant and too obedient. Slaves look to others for answers. What is required however is true individual introspection…this is where our solutions lie.
Inevitably what will be required to break the chains, is Revolution and Bankruptcy.

Someone here was asking about the ability of life insurance companies to pay out, not to worry, some of them are investing heavily in the apartment bubble, what could go wrong?

From some comments within Friday’s Desk Clearing at TheHousingBubbleBlog:

“Life insurance companies increased their allocations to the multifamily sector at the end of 2015 and promise to become a greater source of debt in the institutional segment of the market in 2016,” said Hughes.’

    THE DEAD LIST- https://youtu.be/MtQIX2wuRv4

    • Sidewalk Apostle

      JO,
Thanks for the utube weblink “dead list”. I did not see that today. So much info to review daily that it is mind boggling.

I like Lisa Haven’s site bc she gives actual documents that you can review and reference. Her info is reliable. Her past articles can also be found on beforeitsnews.com.

Steve Quayle, at http://www.stevequayle.com I believe, started the dead scientist and the dead bankers list going back to 1994. Quayle’s list is a more detailed list of people and causes of untimely death. New lists that are being compiled now are the dead NASA scientist list (over 100 dead since 2014 from unnatural causes) and those related to cancer cures and vaccination expositions. For instance, a Georgian physician who was shot in the back and ruled a “suicide” in October? 2015. He was exposing the Bill Gates false vaccination agenda.
In regards to who is actually performing the majority of the killings, look no further than the CIA secret “super soldier” army of assassins aka the Assassins of Langley. Former Nebraska state senator/ attorney, John Van de Kemp’s book, The Lincoln [credit union] Scandal, goes into the ‘above ground’ CIA child abduction program for “Manchurian candidate” recruits. You can find online reports to the ‘below the ground’ Rockefeller funded Illuminati/ CIA human cloning program for the Langley super-soldier mercenary army.

The rabbit hole goes really deeeep… to the gates of the abyss.

The question is how much do you want to know and learn. Secondly, are you willing to accept how evil humanity is and has become. Lastly, to filter the “wheat from the chaff” to refute what is the truth (or close to it) from the lies/disinformation from spinsters, especially the CIA multiple-facet mind control and misinformation programs ie project artichoke, project bluebird, MK ultra, project phoenix, operation mockingbird and corporate fascist MSM control. Sometimes nuggets of truth are like pieces to a puzzle, eventually the picture becomes clearer.
If you never watched Aaron Russo’s utube documentary, America from freedom to fascism; or Eric de Carbonnel’s 5 part utube series on the ESF (exchange stabilization fund), I highly recommend it.

The gift of discernment whether as a blessing from God or from self-taught learning will serve you well in the times ahead. God bless!

Frances DID NOT CALL OUT TRUMP!
Here is the FULL text of the exchange regarding Pope Frances and Trump.

Phil Pullella, Reuters: Today, you spoke very eloquently about the problems of immigration. On the other side of the border, there is a very tough electoral battle. One of the candidates for the White House, Republican Donald Trump, in an interview recently said that you are a political man and he even said that you are a pawn, an instrument of the Mexican government for migration politics. Trump said that if he’s elected, he wants to build 2,500 kilometers of wall along the border. He wants to deport 11 million illegal immigrants, separating families, etcetera. I would like to ask you, what do you think of these accusations against you and if a North American Catholic can vote for a person like this?

Pope Francis: Thank God he said I was a politician because Aristotle defined the human person as ‘animal politicus.’ At least I am a human person. As to whether I am a pawn, well, maybe, I don’t know. I’ll leave that up to your judgment and that of the people. And then, a person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian. This is not in the Gospel. As far as what you said about whether I would advise to vote or not to vote, I am not going to get involved in that. I say only that this man is not Christian if he has said things like that. We must see if he said things in that way and in this I give the benefit of the doubt.

    http://www.weeklystandard.com/in-response-to-popes-comments-on-immigration-trump-rubio-and-bush-defend-border-security/article/2001142

As a practicing Catholic I am not happy with Frances’s political views although he is entitled to his own belief. I am also extremely uneasy with some of his comments. He does not need anyone twisting what he says to make it appear worse than what it is. His comments about Trump’s philosophy includes myself and many others out there but it was not an attack on Trump directly although the media is great at these games.

    • aussie jeff

      Hi Angie,
Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and opinions, thats a given.
What Francis has done,is to attempt to sway the outcomes of state,by bellowing personal opinions in such a way that many will see it as the voice of the church!
Thus his thinly veiled jibe at Trump has the potential to change the way pope following catholics might vote.

Those who purport to be followers of Christ should be directing the masses to our Lord and the Kingdom of God,rather than soiling their robes by getting involved with the filth of this worlds corrupt governments dont you think?

      • Tom's Thumb

Good on ya Freddie! From our observations up here, it’s obvious your dear mum taught you well. Looking forward to meeting you in the new world ruled by God’s Kingdom soon to come!

Frances answered a question and no names were given in the question or reply. So you are saying that he should not have answered the question? It was the reporter who was being political and using Frances. As for him having his own views and thus swaying Catholics would be minimum at best. Practicing Catholics know their faith and will not be swayed by opinions regardless of who they come from.

JM. The only people not to have read the Koran are those who apologise for islam. Those who have read it know it for the satanic filth that it is.
The Koran clearly states in numerous places that’s it’s ok to kill non believers. It also clearly states to kill someone guilty of apostasy and his family. Unlike the bible where one can misinterpret passages the Koran is a set of commands that cannot be misinterpreted.
Terrorists merely follow the Koran. They are not extremists in the eyes of the Koran.
A moderate wants to kill you an extremist will.

Prove Your Faith by Your Life Course
“Faith, if it does not have works, is dead in itself.”—JAMES 2:17.

AS A whole, the early Christians proved their faith by how they actually lived. The disciple James urged all Christians: “Become doers of the word, and not hearers only.” He added: “As the body without spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.” (James 1:22; 2:26) About 35 years after he wrote that, many Christians were continuing to prove their faith with appropriate works. But sadly, some were not. Jesus commended the congregation in Smyrna; yet, to many in the congregation in Sardis, he said: “I know your deeds, that you have the name that you are alive, but you are dead.”—Revelation 2:8-11; 3:1.
    DONT BE DEAD!

      RR,

The problem is, the American government does not follow the original US Constitution of July 4th, 1776; it follows the Corporate Constitution of Washington DC ratified in 1871 and has not been removed. It was created secretly by Rothchild’s international interests and American bankster’s devilish plan to control a bankrupt America in the post Civil War period.
In essence, Congress committed treason against the people of USA which were considered “sovereign” and gave that right of sovereignty to the Corporation of THE UNITED STATES.
Its the reverse of Adams quote today: The current constitution, minus the 13th amendment, is adequate for our government, but inadequate for a moral and religious people.

Henceforth, the government is not subject to the consent of the governed. Rather, the governed are subject to the hegelistic, greedy, malfeasance of the corporation of America.

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth will set you free”. John 8:32

      God Bless!

        SA,
I am impressed and alarmed at the same time. I see that you are a recent addition to this site. It is coincidental that I have recently spoke of the Sovereignty/Treasonous Acts of the Presidents issues along with the bigger issues of the Constitution and Democracy.
This is not something that is taught in school or acquired through third party transfer of information. It requires specific study. Do you practice Law in the US ?
Very few understand that the USA is a Corporate Entity and that its ruled by offshore interests (entities and people). The people themselves are also Corporate entities at birth and are governed/ruled by Maritime Law….the Law of Contracts. The USA remain colonies of The Crown.
All we require is for the other 320Million people to understand this…. and the game is up.

McAfee came up with a good compromise for Apple: absolutely do not create encryption for it, with which I’m in agreement, but let’s hack that particular phone to aid in the investigation. There’s probably nothing on that phone, but that’s just my thinking.
    Thank you.

      Yes Hobuk,
      ONLY that one phone. Agreed!!!

      Silence is Golden,

Thanks for your compliment… actually I am in medicine and became awaken after reading Dr Stanley Monteith’s book, Brotherhood of Darkness. I thought I knew history/politics and basic finances, but, boy was I ever wrong!

Everything I was told, learned or thought correct in history was twisted truth to full outright lies. After reprogramming my mindset, out of the matrix of the surreal world of misinformation that most still believe in, I began my journey to relearning right from wrong . Independent, active reading, researching and refuting facts; plus going to honest sites like USA Watchdog has strengthened my mettle and spirit. As iron sharpens iron, so too has my knowledge base grown to discern truths and to gain rightful knowledge.

I’m more impressed with the WUSA doggers intellect and knowledge base. I have learned a lot from this site to prepare and be ready to “fight the good fight”. Like Ben Franklin’s quote, “by failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail”.

I recommend a great article posted by Bernie Suarez at http://www.thesleuthjournal.com called, Obsolete Left Right Paradigm Stifling Mass Awakening…. Dave Hodges at the Common Sense show once made a statement that it only takes 10% of the mass in order to accelerate the awakening of the whole. If we the remnant can waken the others around us, then the ‘butterfly effect’ can provide the accelerant to light the fire into others. God bless!

Greg would it be possible to get Dr Michael Savage as a guest on Watchdog in reference to the Scalia question He is cutting edge on the subject partially due to his toxicology background and would be great.

From what I found out Obama can try to push a new justice on the grounds of it being an emergency.

On the other hand should he not appoint someone a draw, 4 vs 4 , has in the past meant what ever the lower court ruled is then considered law.

    Interesting.

    Dear Greg,
Is the Pope a Catholic? Actually Pope Francis is not, he is not even a Christian so how could he possible be a valid Pope. Actually he is an Antipope and should not be listened to. I will not bore you all with the details but he was ‘un-canonically elected’ which totally invalidates his papacy. Also his predecessor Pope Benedict XVI,s resignation was defective and therefore invalid, which means that he is still the Pope. On top of this Francis is a Freemason.
Well this is all just scratching the surface, if you would like a more comprehensive demolition job done on this fraud, and the rest of them as well, just drop me a line and I will be happy to provide.
    Best Regards
    A real Catholic.

      Peter,
Thank you for your comment and your perspective! Feel free to comment again!!

    sw,
I am a Catholic, and I love being a Catholic. But when I watched Pope Francis saying Jesus, His life was a failure, it really angered and upset me. Yes I have heard of your version that Jesus’ death, in the eyes of the world was a failure before, and I don’t agree.

JESUS, FOR WHO HE IS AND FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE FOR US RIGHTFULLY DESERVES OUR UTMOST RESPECT!!

I can’t say this for all, but I came across many priests who are truly devoted to God, and I have great respect for them. Furthermore, popes and priests represent Jesus’ Priesthood. Hence, out of my respect for Jesus, I will regard Pope Francis with respect. However, this does not mean I will believe in him or follow his teachings.

  88. Zoey

    Jerry,

I totally agree with you that the Catholic Church has gravely mishandled the sexual abuse crisis. So sorry to hear about your cousin’s tragedy. It should’ve never happened!

Trump cites story of general who dipped bullets in pigs’ blood to deter Muslim Terrorism

By Jeremy Diamond, CNN Updated 5:02 PM ET, Sat February 20, 2016 | Video Source: CNN

North Charleston, South Carolina (CNN)—Donald Trump on Friday cited an apocryphal story about a U.S. general who purportedly dipped bullets in pigs’ blood to execute Muslim prisoners a century ago in an effort to deter Islamic terrorism.

    Great Job Greg!!

With Jr. Au stocks on fire I would put in a plug to have Daniel Oliver of Myrmikan Capital LLC on the show.

I appreciate your strong witness of Jesus as the King of Kings.

Maybe Obama would reconsider attending Scalia’s funeral if it was held at an exotic vacation destination with a nice golf course?

Greg another great job on reporting the truth. Can we get some insight on one of your interviews of how bad things are in Venezuela. I hear they are out of food and what that means for us. THANKS

How do things like this keep escaping from underneath our nose?

While researching “Turkey Russia Bosphorus” on the inimitable Google search engine, I found out conflicting assertions presented as truth as to the blockade existing or not, for Russia military ships. Massive contradictions here!

Realizing that a massive propaganda story was being cooked for mass consumption, my hunch was proved correct when I found this accidental truth release

    http://www.bosphorusgaz.com/archives/1858?lang=en

Hmm, seems that everyone is willing to cooperate when real money can be made. But we can’t have too many of these truth releases, can we? This whole thing is disgusting!!!!
