Devalued Dollar Will Crash the DOW – Martin Armstrong

Legendary financial and geopolitical cycle analyst Martin Armstrong is back with a warning to President Trump, who is on record wanting a weaker dollar. Trump might try to force a lower value for the US dollar to help offset the trade deficit. Just this past week, Trump is demanding lower interest rates. Experts say this might also lower the value of the US dollar. Armstrong predicts, “Everything has an international value. If you lower the value of the dollar, then oil in terms of dollars will rise. Look at gold. It’s not making new highs right now because the dollar is going up, but chart it in Canadian dollars or Euros and it’s making new highs. . . . You dramatically lower the dollar and you are going to cause a crash–again. . . . It could be 40% to 50%.”
Armstrong has deep experience in the currency markets. In 1985, Armstrong was called in by the Reagan Administration about cutting the value of the dollar to spark trade. Armstrong warned if you cut the dollar, you will have a big crash within two years. What happened? Two years later, the stock market crashed more than 22% in one day in the infamous 1987 stock market crash. It is still the record for a one-day crash in percentage terms. Armstrong says, “In the end, they said we think foreign exchange had something to do with the crash. That was the best I could get out of them. They are not going to stand up and say, oh gee, we caused it (the crash) by lowering the dollar by 40%.”
Armstrong is going to write President Trump a letter warning him NOT to force the US dollar lower.
How is the war picture shaping up now that Trump, who wants to be a “peacemaker,” is in office? Armstrong says, “You have French President Macron saying he wants to send troops into Ukraine. Britian has just now sent 20,000 or 30,000 troops into Romania. They want war. They are basically on the verge of a sovereign debt crisis. So, they have a choice. They default and say, oh sorry, we screwed up. Or, it’s not us, it’s Putin. We have to go get him. The German government fell the very next day after Trump was elected. You see this going on all over Europe.”
In closing, Armstrong sees gold (and silver) going up from here. The US is still the strongest economy by far, but Armstrong’s computer program “Socrates” sees a global recession no later than 2028. Socrates also sees the possibility of “war as early as April or May of 2025.” Armstrong tells President Trump, “Get out of NATO–ASAP.”

Jehovah blesses those who try to live by his standards. A weaker US Dollar as Trump desires “to make US goods more affordable in International Markets” will drive the price of Gold and Silver much higher!! I listened to President Trump’s speech yesterday when he spoke in Las Vegas to the hospitality industry. President T said that he was going to fulfill his “no tax on tips champaign promise”. President T said how much he loved tariffs and how tariffs made foreign countries pay tax instead of Americans. It all sounded so great, and the crowd went wild at the thought of going back in time to no income tax and, instead, paying for everything, everything, everything under the sun by taxing imported goods and services.
Personally, I really, really, really love the idea of ending personal income tax. Love it. Love it. Love it. But unlike the very ignorant crowd, I know tariffs alone don’t work out with a BiG GOVERNMENT that spends tens of trillions and owes hundreds of trillions.

In the current situation, I don’t think it works like that.
With $36 trillion in debt and rising deficits, the Fed has to print as the buyer of last resort for treasuries. Otherwise, interest rates will rise. Higher rates are the Achilles heel of a system in debt crisis, and a death knell for the economy.
The massive printing necessary to purchase sufficient treasuries to keep a lid on rates will weaken the dollar.
It’s coming…and I don’t think a letter will make any difference at all…

I think the reason Pres. Trump is banning central banks from creating digital currency is because he wants that power reserved totally for the U.S. Treasury Dept. Whether or not he will eliminate the Federal Reserve System is open for debate. Pres. Trump is most definitely NOT eliminating the push for a national digital currency, he’s just putting its control in the hands of the people, through their elected President and Representatives.

To offer up one action for folks; we bought a number of 330 gallon IBC and filled them with dried grain and grain mixes. That size tote will hold one ton each. We have them on some dunnage so that a bucket will fit under the drain spout. I modified a small auger and put it on a drill to pull the contents out. The ones outside are covered, mostly to protect the plastic from the UV, but there is also some grey man thinking. There’s two goals here. One is a much lower price for our chicken feed and the other is storage of wheat berries that we can grind into flour. Buying by the ton does require a truck and of course a grain seller. There is a good story in Genesis about storing grain away. And we’re not worried about the bird flu- i think my birds have already had it- we lost one and they are all fine now.

Have you seen the ads for the New Scout 4×4? It’s electric LOL. You really have to be a dumb a$$ to buy electric. My Honda, I drove 17 years before I sold it. It’s still out there going down the road. Just do your maintenance. There isn’t a battery on these EV that will last with everyday use . And those Californians found out how reliable EVs are during the fire. Plus a full charge, well if you use Li-ion you know you only get to use from 20 to 80%. I don’t know about you guys but I can run my tank dry, fill it in 5 min and be back on the Highway. PH, well my EV will go 365mi, they mfg says so… At a supercharger it takes 15-20min to get to 80%. These guys at dealership were in the catbird seat. About a year ago, they were adding 20-25k to a 60-70k base price car/truck. They were really doing a number on their customers and now they have lots full of cars. No one is buying. My truck was ordered a certain way and I saw it on the lot several months ago. The brake rotors are rusty… thick rust been a long time since it’s been moved. I hope they crank them every once in a while. So these guys were living life large screwing over their customers and now they have lots full of expensive products that no one wants to buy. There were a couple guys that didn’t play these silly games and they have business. Amazing how that works. When I buy, it’s gonna be one of these. I have to drive a little bit further but they are reputable.
