AI in the Kill Chain Will End Up Getting You Killed – Jim Rickards

By Greg Hunter’s USAWatchdog.com

Seven-time, best-selling financial author Jim Rickards predicted in July 2023 (when gold was trading in the $1,600 range) that the yellow metal would get a big boost.  He was correct.  In his new book called “Money GPT: AI and the Threat to the Global Economy,” Rickards lays out the case for AI-caused disasters in everything from finance to nuclear war.  Rickards says, “About five stocks are upwards of 40% of the entire index.  Almost all those gains are being driven by AIs:  Nvidia, AMD, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook/Meta and Google.  We all know their names.  The market is going higher on AI, and nobody wants to say anything negative on AI.  I have studied this very closely, and there are these huge dangers for investors that they need to be aware of.  Any crash is going to be worse because AI will be accelerating it.”

It gets worse with an AI driven world, especially when it comes to nuclear war.  AI can and will accelerate that too.  Rickards explains, “You can’t teach a computer common sense.  You can teach it rules.  You can make it go up the escalation ladder for war.  A stock market crash is pretty bad, but nuclear annihilation is far worse.  I am offering constructive advice in the book saying here’s the problem.  Here’s how it works.  Don’t put AI in the kill chain because you will end up getting killed.

Rickards is hoping Trump can deescalate the wars in Ukraine and in the Middle East.  Even if Trump is able to turn down the volume on the war drums, the economy is already in big trouble.  Rickards says, “The US economy is definitely in for slowing growth at best, and probably a recession in the next 9 months.  Trump is going to get blamed for it because if you are President, you get blamed for whatever happens even though he has nothing to do with it.  This recession is already happening.  The stock market will draw down, and from there, I think it will come back.  Trump’s policies are enacted.  They get a tax bill through.  They get tariffs up.  They create high paying US jobs.  They cut regulation.  There are a lot of bullish things in the pipeline, but they take time to implement . . . and take effect.  In the meantime, we will have a rocky road.”

Rickards still likes gold, silver and other tangible assets such as farm ground and fine art.  Rickards contends this is true diversification of your wealth.

Imo, DARPA should be dismanteled and its contractors (like Boston Dynamics) SHUT DOWN immediately. Imo, darpa is even more dangerous than the cia.

About Rubio – when I was living in FL, he had a campaign ad that was run all the time, where Rubio said, “America should not end at this time, in this way.” What is left unsaid, is: “When do you think would be the right time, and the right way?” There is something about him that reminds me of a carnival barker.

    • Rodster

I don’t have a problem with Rubio because he is John Bolton Lite. The person I have a problem with is Trump. He campaigned on the promise to end these wars quickly and instead is first 4 picks have been warhawks.

I would have thought that Tulsi Gabbard who’s Anti War would have been the pick for Sec of State, nope he gives it to a Neocon. So far very disappointed with Trump. Paul Craig Roberts mentioned that there’s a rumor that RFK Jr may not get a cabinet position but instead an advisory role.

      https://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2024/11/10/can-there-be-an-american-russian-reset/

“There is some indication of that already in a report that a businessman on Trump’s transition team said that Bobby Kennedy is not to have a position except as an advisor who collects information on harmful food and vaccines. Little doubt, nominating Bobby as FDA chief or Health and Human Services Secretary would have Big Pharma in every Senator’s office threatening the cut-off of all campaign contributions and their redirection to challengers. Maneuvering Trump into non-confrontation erodes his image as a fighter for America and will disappoint his supporters. It is unlikely that Trump’s advisors realize that the Senate’s refusal to confirm Bobby in office would enhance Trump’s power. He could present the people with the names of the Senators who are actively blocking the restoration of Americans’ health and ask why voters elected obstacles to making America great again. Trump has the people. He could bring the power of the people to bear on the Big Pharma stooges.”

      • 3rd Temple

        Rodster,
How many wars were started under Trump – HE is the one who will make the decision.

        End of story.

I have a big problem with Rubio, he is a swamp creature from the “Gang of Eight.”

      • Greg Hunter

        J,
Let’s give him a chance. I heard Rubio say live on the air a few years ago, “Jesus Christ was my Lord and Savior.” I heard him say this and saw him say this.

Greg please don’t censor this post that provides information people should understand about AI:

Warning: Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be Really Stupid (RS)

This AI monstrosity provides for more centralized big-government control over people, industry and commerce.

    Great interview. Thank you, Greg.
    Jim Rickards is brilliant.

  6. Katy Bar

Rickards likes Tangible “Physical Assets” (like Gold, etc.) because he knows the “Entire Electronic Web” can be taken down in a “Nuclear War” where your Cell Phones and Computers Won’t Operate, the Banks will Close and all the Bitcoins you own “Won’t Be Able To Be Accessed”!!! Additionally, Trump is saying he wants to print Trillions of US Dollars “out of thin air” to buy Bitcoin “as it is very rare”!! This will only serve to drive the Price of Gold and Silver (in terms of US dollars) Upward!! And although it will also drive the price of Bitcoin upward too, what we People must seriously consider “Besides Rarity” is the Ability of your Money “To Still Be Useful Money” WHEN THE LIGHTS GO OUT!!!

    • Cheri Rodriguez

Katy Bar, while Gold and Silver are nice, the average slob on the street has no appreciation of them (see Mark Dice videos where people take a candy bar over a Silver bar or Gold coin). If you’re dealing with major players like banks and governments, Gold and Silver should work. But for dealing with Joe Six-Pack when the lights go out, have a stockpile of Jim Beam, jars of peanut butter, cans of tuna, etc.

      • Katy Bar

        Cheri,
There will always be people who will not accept Gold or Silver (like those who won’t accept Trump and are shaving their heads in protest)! Just don’t deal with them and simply barter with people who will accept precious metal for the goods or services they are offering!!

    • Ken Yu

If Trump is going to simply print up Trillions of new dollars to buy Bitcoin what do you think that will do to the purchasing power of the US dollars we Americans will be holding?? https://www.richdad.com/MediaLibrary/RichDad/Images/charts/usd-purchasing-power-1913-2008.png
If Trump pays a Trillion Dollars for one Bitcoin you know the value of one ounce of Gold has also got to go up to “at least” a Trillion dollars per coin as the US dollar hits ZERO!!!

      • Greg Hunter

        Ken,
There are zero reports of Trump saying he would do that.
        Greg

        • Ken Yu

          Greg,
The BITCOIN Act mandates that the US Government begin to decrease the permissible amount of surplus funds Powell (to his chagrin) at the Federal Reserve can hold by about $4.4 billion (from $6,825,000,000 to $2,400,000,000). The Bill also mandates that the first $6 Billion of interest earnings the Federal Reserve banks collect each year be used to purchase Bitcoins (for the US Government Bitcoin Strategic Reserve)!!
          https://www.wired.com/story/donald-trump-strategic-bitcoin-stockpile-bitcoin-2024/

      • Katy Bar

The way I understand it Trump’s Plan is to get the National Debt Off The Peoples Shoulders by first inflating it away by hyper-inflating the dollar and At The Same Time Distribute Bitcoins into the Public’s Hands by paying Social Security, Government Payrolls, etc. with all the newly purchased Bitcoins!! Then all future Government borrowing will be done by asking the People to Lend the Government their Bitcoins (instead of borrowing dollars from the Fed Banksters). This way if the Government Ever Goes Bankrupt all its Assets (like the Gold it holds at Fort Knox, its Land Holdings , Forest’s and Mineral Resources, etc., etc.) will go To The People instead of the Banksters!!!

    • Sean

What isn’t understood by the masses is that proof of work algorithms such as bitcoin is not just doing random math, it is the AI sorting program of the NSA going through all your online Meta data off sites like facebook, YouTube, Twitter, ect. Bitcoin promoters are either on government payroll or brainwashed by those running the propaganda.

  7. Bruce Wayne Vetter

WOW: Jim Rickards is incredibly intelligent, Greg. What an honor it is to have him on your show. What an honor it is for me to see and listen to him on your show. Bruce Wayne Vetter.

  8. Ken Yu

Rickards explains, “You can’t Teach a Computer Common Sense”!! And neither can you “Teach a Eugenicist Morality”. So besides watching out for AI we also need to watch out for another Plan-demic (with genetically engineered Bird Flu, Ebola, or Monkey Viruses). Dr. Mike Yeadon a former Senior Executive and Vice President within Pfizer Global R&D Pharmaceutical Research Division and he has warned: “The supposed vaccine against the alleged Covid-19 virus was Deliberately and Intentionally Designed to INJURE, KILL and REDUCE FERTILITY”. Dr. Yeadon also states: “The so-called human induced Climate Change Crisis is all a Lie as well. It’s the same people (the Club of Rome) who put this together at the end of the 1960’s. They chose these two(2) topics of Infectious Disease and Climate Change to Scare people (and thus force acquiescence) but I’m saying “Stand on your own Feet and tell them to Get Lost with their Absurd Lies” and there’s a third lie they have been telling us most of our lives “that the world is overpopulated” and this Is “Literally Absurd”. These Eugenicists think there are “too many little people” and they are seeking to control us digitally now using AI and eventually will “INJECT US TO DEATH”. It’s only going to be stopped by our “REFUSAL TO COOPERATE”!! That is my Testimony!!!

First, “DC IS A CESSPOOL” NOT A SWAMP! Second. The PERMANENT UN-ELECTIVE GOVERNMENT should be given to SMITHEREENS as Pres. John Kennedy wanted to do with Federal Reserve and the CIA ( Criminals In America) – will “THEY” again. Attempt to eliminate Pres. TRUMP? God has him in his hands!

In this AI driven world rushing headlong into Nuclear War I just don’t understand why Israel has been sending its boys to die helping “NAZI” Zelinsky?? Does Israel hate the Russians just as much as the Arabs (which can be wholly justified) but what did the Russians ever do to Israel??? To my knowledge I don’t think Russia ever gave Iran Nuclear Weapons. Does anyone have more insight as to why Israel is “wasting their young soldiers lives” helping a NAZI?? When they can be better used to Kill Arabs???

“ Does anyone have more insight as to why Israel is “wasting their young soldiers lives” helping a NAZI?? When they can be better used to Kill Arabs???”

      Wake up to yourself imbecile.

Do you really think Jesus Christ would answer your sadistic, barbaric question without first shaking you to your very core?

Better used to kill Arabs……what filth you speak.

Arabs are human beings like the rest of us, all made in God’s image.

      You disgust me.

You are the filth and the very problem this world now wrestles with.

Repent of your wickedness, for your words are against all that our Creator stands for.

      Ray, Canberra, Australia 🇦🇺 🦘🐊

      • Kit Lee

Sorry Ray – did not mean for it to sound that way. What I was trying to comprehend was Why (with all Israel’s own problems) it is sending its soldiers (expending vital human resources) to fight side by side with the NAZI’s to kill Russians and Koreans in the Ukraine when those soldiers can be better spent Defending Their Own Homeland (instead of the homeland of the exact same NAZI’s who slaughtered Six Million Jews during WWII. Can anyone explain that to me??

Does Jim claim to be a Christian? Adding a Bible quote does not necessarily make you one, much less a defender of the faith or the Word. He has a fair grip on his lane, but he’s still caught up in the evolution delusion. Talking about Cro-magnon and how we (humans) climbed down from the trees. That is a load of horse manure to put it mildly. The evolutionary fantasy that we evolved from some critter out of the primordial slime is false. DNA the highly complex information system upon which all life is based did not come about by chance. That didn’t happen. We are created in the image of God, not a product of random chemical reactions. He needs to start investing in the truth and seriously seek the Lord. My advice, do it quickly Jim. You’re good at math Mr Rickards give Dr Mastropaolo’s article on the probabilities a good read – https://www.icr.org/article/evolution-biologically-impossible/
All the best in Christ sir +++

    • Greg Hunter

      PR,
I don’t think Rickards was really pushing that. It was more of a way to make a point.
      Greg

    • Ken Yu

      PRD,
Agreed!! God in Heaven was the creator of all life!! This also includes the highly intelligent Space Aliens flying around in UFO’s trying to shut down our Nuclear Launch Facilities before we see the Statue of Liberty on some beach under the control of a Planet Full of Pious Neocon Apes who regularly deal in Child Trafficking, promoting Kill Shots and Starting Unending Wars!! God came from Heaven not from the dirt of the Earth like the Evolutionists and Bible say mankind did!!

    • Chris

God is Spirit. The image of God is Spirit in you and me. It isn’t the body. According to the Orthodox Church doctrine we are triune beings – Body, Soul, Spirit. What makes us human is the spirit and the soul (which gives us the power of self-reflection). That is the image of God. The Theory of Evolution is only concerned with the physical. Actually, prior to Darwin there were already differing theories about human evolution physically. If we think of soul as being synonymous with mind/intellect (spiritual perception) there have been theories of mind development since Plato’s time and earlier. So that leaves spiritual evolution. Have we evolved spiritually? Personally, I think that’s cyclical. In other words we may have devolved until the Incarnation when we began the slow evolvement upward. But we are still on that road and have a long way to go. Whatever came “down from the trees”, to use Jim’s words, was barely human (but probably had a spark of the image of God). It began the long journey which its decedents (you and me) are still on. We will develop faculties that are are considered exceptional today but will be commonplace in a thousand years. That is just my idea. I don’t care whether Ricard is a Christian or a Calathumpion or whether he has this or that conception of evolution or biblical interpretations. I don’t expect geopolitical or financial advice from the Pope or the Patriarch of Moscow and I don’t want theological advice from Jim Ricard. Horses for courses.

The AI model has such high levels of bias within its programming that it is virtually worthless, particularly when used in pharmaceutical analysis.Of course the geniuses do not want to admit the bias no matter the area of excellence.
Thanks Mr Hunter and Mr Rickards.

    • Kit Lee

      Except for Socrates!!

  13. Earth Angel

I am not in favor of AI at all. Imo, it should be shut down and discontinued to the most extent possible immediately. The humans promoting the use of it are at best fools and at worst evil. Woe will come to the human race for unleashing yet another plague upon God’s beautiful Creation, Earth and all its inhabitants. Imo the dangers far outweigh any perceived potential benefits. ‘What Fools we Mortals Be’… wasn’t that Shakespeare?

They say Trump always has a double-entendre to his actions. That everything he does and says has two meanings… intended to teach those who can perceive it by using a kind of “reverse psychology”.

What does it say about Fiat Dollars & Bitcoin if a government can print fake fiat to buy this rare “real thing”? What does it say about Bitcoin if a government can open a power plant with which to drive the specialied hardware necessary to mine Buttcoin?

The little people can’t print money, open power plants or produce the necessary specialised hardware to mine Bitcoin. Only THEY can do those things.

It tells me Bitcoin is centralised and in the hands of the few. The little people can’t compete with it.

I won’t even get into the security implications of using crypto on modern backdoored and compromised computer hardware / software – e.g. Intel Management Engine / AI Copilot watching everything you do (including harvesting your private crypto keys) on a modern computer.

  18. Thomas Malthaus

  19. Really Awake

Herbert Hoover won the presidential election in 1928. Hoover, like Trump, was an amazing man. Hoover is probably the most underrated Republican President in history. Hoover had excellent ideas on how to make America great. And Wall Street loved Hoover. Right after his election what did an already overpriced stock market do? It really took off. That’s what.

Yet, just one year later the famous 1929 crash and the subsequent Great Depression ensued. And who got the blame? Hoover did. That’s who. Could it happen again? This time with Trump? Maybe. Maybe not. But, if you ask me, America has way, way more debt now than in 29; way, way bigger welfare expenses; massive entitlement programs; tens of millions who can’t or won’t put in a day’s work, an entire country dependent upon the internet, power grid, cell phones, satellite network, and modern just-in-time delivery system – plus the total division of labor, e.g., back in 29 most Americans could do everything themselves – including raising their own food. Nowadays we have a hyper-complex system which requires a specialized division of labor…

    What could possibly go wrong?

Moreover, the world is moving toward its third world war. And WW3 shall be far worse than WW2.

I wish only the very best for President Donald J Trump both as a man and as the President; however, I have my own divergent opinion of what’s likely to happen. And it’s not good.

    Get your prepping done.

  20. Susan Russo

I too was caught up in the height of the election. We did win, and I thank God and all his heavenly hands. Now we have a reality check. I have seen for quite a while with our current presidential term the facade of power. We are mostly excluded from behind closed doors. Trump is considered dangerous being not of the palace. The organized mafia that uses traditional powerheads has lost their inroad. Still, the main arteries that pump blood will not shut down, so even with the power, Trump inherited a very broken, flawed USA. We did win though, and escalation of war will stop to give us a few breaths while our beloved president uses his considerable skills of moderation.

  21. Derek

Greg, do you really think the military doesn’t have an AI system that is far superior to anything that is in the public domain? There is over 5000 patients that are classified. Any technology the military views as a threat is classified long before it hits mainstream. I think the military had AI around 2000. What that system is now would probably blow peoples mind.

    • Greg Hunter

      Derek,
I don’t know that as I have no source. How do you know this?
      Greg

      • Derek

I saw an interview of William Pawlick in the early 2000’s. He was a contractor for the military. He did an interview with Steven Greer. He said he was working on a desktop commuter around 1970 that the public didn’t have until 2000. Although our government appears to be incompetent and full of idiots, I don’t believe the ones that are actually running things are, at least in our military. The real Generals as Trump says.

I don’t have definitive proof, but i do have common sense and have spent many years researching to know that our government lies to us all the time. They are also hiding a lot of technology.

We are still in the 1800s. Our primary source for energy is still the steam engine. Even nuclear is just a glorified steam engine. I have many stories of the suppression of technology. I could go on all day. I am sure you have heard many.

        • Greg Hunter

          Derek,
You are probably right. I just wanted a source. I am not giving you a hard time.
          Greg
