Iran Bombs UAE to Trigger Financial Meltdown – Martin Armstrong

Legendary financial and geopolitical cycle analyst Martin Armstrong warned in early February “This is When Volatility Kicks In.” At the time, oil was around $63 a barrel, and now it $95 a barrel. Armstrong says, “The ramifications are quite extensive. . .. It’s not going to be over quickly. That’s what our computer forecasted from the beginning. I said this when I first came on about it. Computer says, sorry, this is not going to be an in and out situation like Venezuela. It will be dragged out.”
One of the most frightening new pieces to the puzzle is UAE (United Arab Emirates). According to Armstrong, “I don’t think people appreciate what is there. UAE became more or less Switzerland after the Swiss confiscated money from Russians. They said you knew Putin, so we are just taking all your money. . .. The money started to move to Dubai and Singapore. That’s why the Iranians attacked there. We have offices there. Everybody is there. . .. They damaged this short term, and I can tell you the banking system went down for a week. We could not even send money to our staff to get them the hell out. . .. (This is one of the reasons gold sold off. Armstrong told me that people needed liquidity.) All the cables that connect the banking system from the East to the West run through the Strait of Hormuz. . .. People look at the Middle East and think they are flush with cash. They have no idea they are in a debt crisis. Iran understands this–attacking the refineries and the infrastructure of the Gulf States. What happens? You cut off their ability to sell oil. That creates a debt crisis. . .. Iran bombed UAE more than Israel. . ..
Washinton does not grasp this. I have yelled at them, and I think it goes in one ear and out the other. This is much more serious, and if they succeed in creating a debt crisis, that will filter into the banks. Then the banks start getting into trouble. This does more than send oil up and put pressure economically on Europe and the United States. This is the key to a banking crisis.”
Armstrong says this Iran war will last the rest of 2026, and gasoline prices in the US could hit $9 a gallon. Armstrong says, “We are at a point where governments collapse. . .. What we are facing is a sovereign debt crisis globally. International debt reached $353 trillion last month. It doesn’t stop. They don’t pay off debt. They just roll it over. This will come to a crisis because interest payments keep rising. Our interest expenditure exceeds military.”
In closing, Armstrong is still a buyer of gold, silver, food and holding some cash. Armstrong says the US dollar is not going to be replaced as the world reserve currency anytime soon. This might be a reason why Warren Buffett is holding a record $400 billion in cash.

Greg, Martin made me feel more optimistic, except for the Iran war dragging on. I pray that the Democrats do not become the majority, otherwise the rest of President Trump’s term will get bogged down in impeachment hearings and defending himself against the Democrats. Further, something needs to be done about the retirement benefits for state employees. It is outrageous! I am very concerned about California. We don’t know when the digital currency will hit the world financial system, but I suspect it will come with universal basic income worldwide. Martin Armstrong has talked many times on CBDC and what to expect with The Total Control System that will happen. The president greenback dollar being the world currency should be the final holdout. There will probably be a variety of wars and skirmishes worldwide before we see the global world order and economic system kick in.

Forget the propaganda about democracy, international law, religion, terrorism, Israel and economic damage. Zoom out and it seems the US deploys an enormous world wide strategy to get the upperhand economically. Till now it works like a charme. Start a war with Russia and first sacrafice Ukraine and damage Russian oil capacity. Then sacrafice Europe in the same war but don’t participate. This disconnects Europe from cheap energy and thus as a competitor for good. Same trick, start a war between Korea, Taiwan, Japan and China. Actively destroy a large part of the oil in the Middle-East and control the remaining oil. Take over Venezuela for the oil reserves and Greenland for that matter. Control all the important water ways from the China sea and Hormuz to the Panama canal.
The US delivers the weapons, oil, and energy to all these countries. I think the 38 trillion of debt will vaporize and the US will be back on track. If it works, sad but brilliant.

Back in the 70s when peak oil charts first came out I was thinking if I was in a high military planning meeting I would start PRETENDING that the USA will run out oil or has very little oil. The US debt clock is around 30 trillion the interest on this debt will be heading to 6-7% in the next 12 months. That is around 2 trillion in interest payments to the elite class who own the US debt. Mr. Armstrong is always a top tier interview. I would like to offer a thought to the conversation. There used to be a prominent idea in Christian theology called Fatalism. It sort of withered on the vine and was a big part of Calvinism, but not exclusive to it. The basic idea was/ is that all events and actions of consequence are already predetermined by God and He makes these things the reality to come, and we are minor actors in a play already written. The newish version of this is the simulation theory. Of course our understanding of our world, reality, and time could be all called into question. This idea( a preordained future) fits into Christian, Jewish, and Muslim prophecy in more or less the same way- as i understand it. What’s important is our individual freedom to choose. Which begs the question; if our whole existence is really a testing ground to see who we will be, or what we are made of. We are supposed to choose wisely. Seems Martin Armstrong was sending a subtle message to your audience that Oil prices will be moving higher (predicting a $10 gasoline price in the U.S. soon)!! And a coming Oil Price Surge is a warning sign for Silver Investors (that the price of Silver will reflect such a move). Hi Greg, another good interview with Mr Armstrong, you touched on the weather briefly and I remember telling you some time back that we had a lot of rain back in Jan and Feb. I thought I’d let you know that the whole of April and so far into May it has been dry, NO RAIN at all and quite cool, temperatures ranging from 14⁰c up to a high of about 22⁰c with a lot of cloud with sunny spells. These temperatures are low even by British standards for this time of the year. The Jet Stream is currently lying across the middle of Spain and should be a lot further north.
