US Officially a Banana Republic – Bill Holter

Last time financial writer and precious metals expert Bill Holter (aka Mr. Gold) was on USAW, he said don’t even think about selling any gold or silver. One of the big reasons why he is still saying this is the news last week that the US debt to GDP ratio is now at 100%. Mr. Gold says, “I have talked for years about how the entire world runs on credit. What we started this off with is the United States is officially a banana republic. It’s 100% debt to GDP. When I was in school in the early 1980s, the definition of a banana republic is when it hit 100% debt to GDP. In this instance, it is the issuer of the world’s reserve currency that is admitting it is officially a banana republic. Everything runs on credit. The biggest issuer of credit is the United States, and if their credit card gets declined, then what does that do to the real economy? Nothing will work. There will be nothing on shelves. Stores will be dark. Should you store food? The answer is yes because something really bad is right in front of us. It’s a credit collapse.”
So, the Trump Administration is not going to just let everything collapse. What is the contingency plan? Mr. Gold says, “I think the contingency plan is oil. They went after Maduro. So, they have taken control of the Venezuelan oil supply. They want to do the same thing elsewhere. I mean President Trump said in his own words, he said basically we are pirates, and we are going to take Iran’s oil. I think that’s the plan. It is to control more oil and keep the petrodollar system alive. Is it going to work? I think, ultimately, it will not work because the numbers are far too upside down at this point. If you really look under the hood, the Federal Reserve itself is insolvent. And we have not even talked about derivatives. Derivatives are the gorilla in the room. In the derivative market, you are looking at $2 quadrillion in derivatives. Once you get things off sides, and an example of that is look at the British yields, they are back to pushing 7%. They are back to rates that are the same as in 1998. So, all of the easing is gone. Everything runs on credit, and once you gum up credit, you start affecting the real economy. Then, there is less cash flow in the real economy, and that spills over into the financial economy and financial markets. Derivatives are the biggest danger. Warren Buffett calls them mass financial destruction. It should not go unnoticed that Berkshire Hathaway is now sitting on $400 billion of cash, which is the biggest hoard they have ever had. In 1998, the financial media called him an idiot, and what happened in 2000? Buffett was an idiot again in early 2008. What happened in late 2008 and 2009? Buffett is not an idiot, and for him to say now that there is nothing out there of value to buy and I’d rather have cash, that tells you a pretty big story.”
On silver, Holter says, “I think we are reloading for a much larger event than we saw in November to January. That 90 days was spectacular, but I think this next move is going to dwarf that.” Holter says many big analysts are predicting silver much, much higher by the end of the year.

Bill was spot on as usual. I am holding right now on everything. Gold and silver is king with cash in third place followed. by food, water and ammo.
I think food, water and power should be first. At least two weeks worth, preferably 3 months worth. This buys survival time in EVERY type of possible disaster. Then, cash – first a month’s worth, then, 3 months worth. This buys time in any financial disaster. The goal is to bridge the gap from the occurrence of a disaster to when things settle and the future has a clearer lens for planning purposes. Gold and silver only come seriously into play in a dire financial disaster requiring transition to a new form of currency (which they have been talking about for years). Meanwhile, gold is an excellent vehicle for long term savings.
We are at the beginning of a major global rearrangement of power, alliances, finances and resources. It is not clear how this will end. It is clear that everything that is trucked to your home will cost more due to oil sourced in the ME, anything grown to eat will cost more due to fertilizer sourced in the ME and widespread drought in the US, anything canned will cost more because some tin ingredients are sourced in the ME, anything made from or coated by plastic will cost more because plastics are a byproduct of petroleum. There will be shortages in some things, but it is not clear what or when.
The food price increases from this are not here yet, they are 6 months out. Current price increases are due to prior policy screwups and coffee crop failures and prior reductions in US cattle herd for meat sizes.

I’d say guns and ammo are first. It’s nice to have food, water and power but you need to be able to protect it all. When things break down, the robbing, raping and looting is going to be off the charts. Just look at much of Western Europe right now.
Rifles and shotguns are always good but make sure to have a solid handgun like a 10mm Glock or 7-shot .357 Magnum. A few reasons why a pistol beats a long gun: (1) Better in your house when it comes to maneuvering around tight corners. And ever try to sleep with a shotgun under your pillow? (2) In a car you can drive with one hand and shoot with the other (3) Concealable wherever you go.

The Biden Administration, using Inflation, stole 50% of American’s Savings and Retirement Plans while doubling the price of a house and most items regarded as necessities. However, I does appear to be a world wide depression coming quickly, the current situation is called “Stagflation” which appears to be moving into the depression era. The Declining Purchasing Power of our Money spans both Political Parties. In fact Both Parties consider the declining purchasing power of the U.S. Dollar to be a Good Thing!! And, the Fed builds in a 2% per annual decline in our purchasing power as a matter of Official U.S. Monetary Policy. Using Official Government Inflation Data $100 dollars in January 2000 is now worth about $52 dollars. Has our Social Security Checks been doubled since 2000? Trump likes to buy and eat Big Mac’s ($100 dollars would have bought him 44 Big Macs in 2000. Today that U.S. $100 Bill will only buy him about 16 Big Macs. That is 2.75 times higher!! Only Silver has kept up with inflation going from about $27 Dollars per ounce in 2000 to $74 Dollars per ounce today!! So Buying Silver today at $74 Dollars is like buying it at $27 Dollars in 2000 (so Silver has not really risen in price). Although yesterday, it seems to have finally broken out slightly above the Inflation Rate as is now a bit over $80 Dollars per ounce!!! Hopefully “The Precious Metal Sector Bottom Is In” and we will finally begin to see some “REAL PROFITS” on all the coins we have bought!! And any “Supposed Capital Gains we made from 2000 to the Present “SHOULD NOT BE TAXED” – but try telling the IRS the $74 dollar price you got for selling the coin you bought at $27 “was just an inflation adjustment” and should not be taxed (and also tell them how your higher yearly salary should also not be driving you into a higher tax bracket)!!

Robert, your question to me is to explain my position with Jesus who is your Lord. I have a very high position in the realm of where our redeemer, our king, our creator, our maker, our soul source, our light comes from. Personal note: I was brought up Catholic, had my first Holy Communion, and Confirmation, I attended weekly religious classes at my local Catholic Church from grade school and CYO while in High School and some summer classes I rode my bike to. My four younger brothers and I attended Mass with our parents every week and took Holy Communion and confessed our sins to our Priest every Saturday before. Both my father’s parents were born in Italy, and he was very strong in his inherited beliefs.
I was then released into the world at the age of eighteen when my parents drove me from Connecticut to Brooklyn to start my first year at Pratt Institute. My father never allowed me to date in High School or go to basketball games or attend school dances except for the very last one, my senior prom. I am a gifted artist so that was not a problem but the freedom I had been given was too much to ignore. I got on the subway and explored the city on the other side of the East River. I was finally FREE to touch out to this world for the first time. I failed my freshman year. Neighbors up the street where I grew up had me come to their house once a week to clean for my last two years of high school. The husband was going to do his sabbatical at Oxford University, and they had an almost one year old son who they asked me to come with them and take care of him. I did that and attended Oxford Institute of Technology three days a week, took care of George three days a week with one day to myself.
When I returned home, I had grown weary of my very strict father suffocating me so I “ran Away” to Cape Cod with my boyfriend, then we hitched a ride to NYC. I found a place to stay with people I knew from my year at Pratt. I re-applied for acceptance back into Pratt and was accepted. I did get my BFA from Pratt and the stories I could tell!
I came back to Connecticut and did an internship in a pottery and then began to set up my studio down the street from where I was then living with my parents in my uncle’s two-story chicken coop. I decided that was not my destiny and went to work to support myself waiting table which I did for about twenty-five years. Move thirty years forward and here I am. I am very blessed for what I have and give thanks to God and Jesus every day. I also pray to St. Michael every day for protection. I know I have been protected for some of the avenues I have walked down have been extremely dangerous and I give thanks for this life I still have every day. I pray every day for protection and have sought help for this protection on the spiritual level.
My gifts in this life as a painter cover all my walls. They are an energy wall that surrounds me. This is not useful advise. When the big N CA earth hit in 1989 the big grocery stores gave batteries out for free and no entry into the store as too dark inside without lights. The small neighbor stores let people empty the shelves as it was going to go bad without power. Gas stations could not pump gas without electricity. Rescue and ambulances requested no driving so emergency vehicles could perform. People need to already be prepared and stay home to defend their homes. During the years every three months I would get a dividend check, which was about the interest I would of gotten in a bank. Every few years I would get a capital gain check. OK, now I rode that fund up that if I sold I would have made a profit, but I did not. And I rode it down. and I rode it up. and down and then up where I sit now. I sold it because I do not have I time to rode it down and up again . So, if I bought 10000 share of Warren Buffet stock, (fifteen years ago ) I would not have the dividends or capitols gain, but was hopefully that when I decided to sell , I would have a little profit. So, I think that is where the 400 Billion dollars came from. I could be wrong , so if somebody could tell me, who owns that that 400 billion, I would say, the past share holders.
