Weekly News Wrap-Up 11.16.12

By Greg Hunter’s USAWatchdog.com

This week was dominated by news of former CIA Director General Petraeus’ affair that caused his abrupt resignation as head of the Central Intelligence Agency.  This dwarfs the coverage of the 9/11/12 terror attack in Benghazi, Libya, where our ambassador and three others were assassinated.  Why did this happen?  Were there warning signs?  Many say yes.  Why didn’t we try to help during the 9/11/12 attack that took place for more than 7 hours?  Those are all questions that will be answered in closed door testimony in Congress with many who should have known we had a security problem in Libya.  Petraeus testifies today.

Hamas and Israel are nearing all-out war.  This week, the Israeli military killed the top military leader in a Gaza missile strike.  The Israelis are calling it “Operation Pillar of Defense.”  Thousands of rockets have been fired into Israel from Gaza over the last several years.  Israel is hitting Hamas targets by the hundreds in just the past few days.  Hamas is retaliating by firing more rockets at Israel and said Israel has “opened the gates of Hell” with this latest military action.  This is a very disturbing development as Iran backs Hamas.  Now, Egypt is throwing its support behind Hamas in Gaza.  It sure looks like a wider war is coming soon to the Middle East.

The stock market has been plummeting since President Obama won re-election.  It’s down about 5% on fears Democrats and Republicans will not work out a deal to avoid the so-called “Fiscal Cliff.”  Big tax increases and spending cuts will automatically take place if the two sides cannot reach a compromise.

Have you heard about the Texas secession petition and others like it?  There are many citizens so upset with the government that some want to break away from the U.S.  I do not know if this will happen, but it sure is a barometer of how upset some folks are with how the Federal government is being run.

And speaking of Texas, Ron Paul gave his final speech to Congress this week, and he is stepping down after nearly two dozen years in office.  One of his many quotes included, “All branches of our government today are controlled by individuals who use their power to undermine liberty and enhance the welfare/warfare state-and frequently their own wealth and power.”  Congressman Paul, you will be missed.

Greg, As i see it. 9/11/12 truth will never be told. Petraeus will do like the msm and say what he,s told to say .The whole thing is a manufactured distraction away from the dollar problem. Israel is like all militaries controlled by the master oligarchy. The solutions for the fiscal cliff has already been made by the united nations, congress and the president are puppets like Israel. Texas cant withdraw without a revolutional gun fight that they will not win.Ron Paul has done what all americans should do .. give up. Without the workers the oligarchy has only themselves and there useless paper money. This world is not out of control, rather is being controlled today more then ever in history.By who? The same old Oligarchy that kennedy, and Ike Eisenhower spoke of in there last speaches. Who are they? The top 00.3% money owners in the world. Just follow up the pirimid money trail to find them. Thats how i see it.

Greg, great piece again! It seems everyday I’m giving someone your website so they can hear a little truth. Don’t give up patriots the end isn’t quite yet and truth even though its hard to find won’t be suppressed forever. Protect yourself, your family and your neighbor because the end game has just begun. God is in control not man and his glory will shine through the darkness.

    • Greg

      Rod,
You are correct, the end is not yet for the U.S. by a long shot. We are going to go through some very rough times and there is no way to get around that. Americans just need to to hear the truth so they can take action. Thank you for your comment.

Well Greg, it turns out our beloved generals are on the prowl in foreign lands but are not chasing the enemy, bunch of stooges, no wonder we haven’t won a war since 1945. Have you ask yourself why this whole mess just came to light after the election, smells real fishy. As to the fiscal cliff, that has already been worked out, but they will stage it until they can get in and lets their families & friends go long on the market with a 60-90 day sale order; as I said, its a done deal, only photos ops left and pats on the back all about Christmas time when they go home and clean up on wall street. Our brave people who died while asking for help in Libya will be swept away under the white house rug when all the deals are done to make it go away. Just another example of what our respected leaders are really doing behind the scenes. Instead of asking hard questions and demanding answers they are just posturing for financial & power just a Ron Paul said the other day. My hats off and I stand and clap for the good Doctor, a REAL AMERICAN.

    • Greg

Thank you Art. I feel your outrage and passion. There are plenty of very good men and women in our armed forces. I feel just a few have lost their way. Thank you for weighing in here.

Hey Greg did you know it is as many people that want these states to leave as the ones that want to secede. Alot of people wanted them to go when George W was in office. You seem to think it going to hurt the nations feelings if they leave. It won’t. I have a better idea. Let these ones that want to leave give up their citizenship and move to another country. These individuals had not a problem with the government when it was under George W. I wonder why? I think it has to do with Who (Color) is president than about his policies. That is not being talked about. Good riddance I say!

    • Greg

      Allen,
I am not for secession but I appreciate the right of citizens ton express their frustrating with the Federal government. Thank you for weighing in here.

You know, this conflict just seems like a religious version of the Hatfields-McCoys feud. For those who don’t know about that, here’s Wiki:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hatfield%E2%80%93McCoy_feud
One thing for sure, for such a “holy area,”
    it sure looks like hell.

    • Greg

Yes Mr. Cate, not only will it look like Hell, but it will be Hell for many on all sides. Thank you your comment.
      Greg

  6. James Lanier

According to CNN, Petraeus testified that the Benghazi raid was carried out by terrorist forces. I wonder if this will be the 2012 version of Watergate.

    • Greg

      James Lanier,
It will turn into Watergate only if the MSM turns on the President. FOX is not big enough to do this on its own.

Hawaii was a nation, still has it’s Royal Lineage.

    • Greg

      gregor,
I stand corrected. Thank you for this. I’ll have to add “on the continental U.S.” when I bring this up again.
      Greg

  8. Brian Bobber

What ever happened to the fast and furious investigation?

    • Greg

      Brian Bobber,
The House of Representatives is controlled by Republicans so I don’t think it’s over just yet.

The Patraeus Affair is a diversion. How many soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan by the security forces they are training since 9/11/2012? Who knows their names, other than family and friends? How many high ranking officials have met their planes as they were returned? What has USA Today written about that?

As for secession, I am watching Vermont. They don’t swagger, but they have been quietly moving in that direction.

    • Greg

      tsuki,
Very good point my friend. Thank you for making it here.
