2017 Predictions for MSM, Markets and Gold-Gerald Celente

15By Greg Hunter’s USAWatchdog.com (Early Sunday Release)

Top trends researcher Gerald Celente started forecasting back in May 2016 that Trump would win. He was spot-on. What are the big trends and predictions in store for 2017? Mr. Celente gives us three of his top predictions coming up in this interview. We start with the mainstream media (MSM) that went all in for Hillary Clinton with actions associated with propaganda and not news. What’s going to happen to the MSM in 2017? Celente, who is Publisher of The Trends Journal, says, “It’s gone, and that is the top story coming out in the next Trends Journal too. . . . We are forecasting that this is the end of daily newspapers. They’ll go down to a couple of days a week. The flipside is more people to USAWatchdog.com and other media. We are not alternative media. They are the alternative media. They are the media that only promotes the establishment. The establishment is Hollywood to the White House to the media, and the people are disgusted with it. This is bigger than a populist movement.”

The MSM is now so discredited that it is beyond the point of no return. Celente goes on to say, “I was saying up until recently about the mainstream media that they still have the clout to set the tone. Now, they don’t. Look at how many newspapers supported Hillary Clinton in editorials, all of the major papers, and it didn’t amount to anything. The facts are there, and again look at the numbers. The bottom line is they are falling out of profitability, and they can’t sustain themselves. That’s the bottom line. News Corp., and one after another, its business is 20% down. You can’t keep a business going like that.”

On the economy, Celente says a crash is coming, and gold is flashing a warning signal overseas. Celente contends, “It almost happened this year with Brexit, but again you are looking at the paper world and the real world, and they keep manipulating it. As you see gold prices going down, is anyone talking about what is going on in India? They just pulled in the high end rupees. There is panic going on over there. They are buying up gold, and they are one of the biggest gold purchasers in the world, and add China. Nobody is talking about it, and there is bedlam going on right now. They are saying they want to stop the black market, so people are buying up gold, but they are shorting the market with naked shorts on the commodities end to drive down the prices because when prices go up, it shows what a fraud the whole system is. So, right now, from our contacts there, the gold buyers in India are buying up as much gold as they can.”

Celente goes on to predict, “We’re forecasting the economy is not going to rebound with the economic proposals that are in place now. . . . The global situation has created an environment for financial panic. The financial panic conditions have been in place for quite a while. What Trump’s victory has done is played it off for a little bit possibly, but on the negative side, you still have the debt and interest rates going up and the debt that has to be paid. On gold, we believe right now is near its bottom.”

Sterling stuff as usual Greg Hunter – Gerald Celente calls it as it is happening and then some.

We have a time bomb of unprecedented credit and debt that has no hope in hell of being paid back. Once the dam walls break those who are not prepared will be washed away in the following Tsunami. Those who are prepared and have taken heed of sites such as yours will ensure their financial survival in the coming monetary apocalypse. It will still not be easy for us though as what approaches has never before been unleashed upon the masses.

“One trouble with every inflationary creation of credit is that it acts like a delayed time bomb. There is an interval of indefinite and sometimes considerable length between the injection of the stimulant and the resulting speculation. Likewise, there is an interval of a similarly indefinite length of time between the injection of the remedial serum and the lowering of the speculative fever. Once the fever gets under way it generates its own toxics.” “The Memoirs of Herbert Hoover – The Great Depression 1929-1941”

Another perennial favorite of mine is Doug Noland at the Credit Bubble Bulletin – like Celente he nails it with his latest missive….

And Trump’s victory could be the Deepwater Horizon moment when the pressure was released on bond yields.

    • Beverly Kingsford

This interview with Gerald Celente is one of the best he’s ever given! Gerald is one of the best and has a good handle on what will actually happen. Thank you Gerald for being so bold and for all you do to keep some of the U.S. informed. Let’s hope that more and more people will start to realize the truth of all the things you are saying. We are coming into the 2nd coming of Christ on the planet and there have to be major changes in the people before Christ will come. We’re going to see lots and lots of cleansing because Christ is letting justice have it’s time. Pretty exciting stuff for those who are preparing.

  2. Paul ...

Spot on Celente … predicting a Trump win back in May 2016 … Obama (like Hillary) is having trouble with C’s (Celente, and now Carter & Clapper) … if Carter and Clapper don’t like Rogers … then Trump has made a good choice for Director of National Intelligence!!! … http://www.redstate.com/streiff/2016/11/19/breaking.-obama-administration-trying-fire-trumps-nsa-choice/

    • Paul ...

Trump has to significantly revamp the military … so that its sole mission is to defend our Constitution and protect our country from invasion by enemies both foreign “and domestic” (no more 9-11’s where our major cities and even the Pentagon itself came under attack “by traitorous enemies within” and our military just stands down!!!)

      • This sceptred Isle

It should be easier to revamp the US military when America stops trying to police the whole world. All empires seem to stretch themselves too thin at their peak.

      • Deanna Johnston Clark

Or allow our President to be shot dead in public as a warning to other upstarts.

  3. ross

I think we have our hopes too high for what Trump can achieve. The shadow Govt has all the aces with money creation and their cronies in power inside both major parties. They don’t need a war with Russia to blame the collapse on when Trump can be the patsy.
At least Trump articulated how evil and corrupt this system is and stopped a war escalating with Russia. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYozWHBIf8g For now ,that is enough.

    • This sceptred Isle

Trump is an injection of pure entropy into the veins of the system.
Initially, the signs are promising for a de-escalation of tensions with Russia and an end to supporting ‘moderate’ rebels in this ridiculous crusade against Assad. This in itself makes him preferable to Hillary. Maybe he will allow America to transition from a uni-polar world, under American hegemony, to a multi-polar world (where America has to co-operate with other countries and not rely on military and economic dominance to crush opposition) more gracefully.
I think as well as promising to introduce policies that put America first, such as border controls and reversing de-industrialisation he understood the need for people to be entertained. He was, indeed, the most entertaining candidate in history, who blagged his way to the Presidency. 80% of what he said was entertaining BS with some common sense and profound truth thrown in for good measure.
However, in reality, the bad economic fundamentals have not diminished and in fact are worsening. US debt approaching 20 trillion dollars and a widening deficit and an increasingly divided country to name a few problems that he cannot solve.
Trump is a disruption to the establishment to some extent but his company has prospered by borrowing at low interest rates, benefiting from generous tax breaks, an unprecedented housing bubble and the ability to default when it suits him. In short, he is a product of the old system and will fall when the old system dies.

    • C romana

@ross….what an amazing courage is shown in this speech. Tremendous respect for Trump!

    • C romana

Greg, did you see this video of Trump? It is so powerful, I am more afraid than ever. He has exposed the whole cabal!!
Celente represents honor, and gives me hope that the truth can still be heard.

  4. Dan

Really loved the rant against the real fake news presstitutes- MSM. It was a classic! You put them right in their place where they belong – in the gutter graveyard.

Thanks Gerald for all your fine work and generosity.

  5. Anthony Australia

An absolute pleasure to have watched
this interview, no frills with no bs!

  6. Paul ...

The MSM experts on disseminating fake news are now trying to warn the American people to only listen to them and avoid 165 alternative news websites … “they simply don’t get it yet” … but they will … https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uyS3Ghevf2I … just like Hillary “doesn’t get it yet” (thinking of running for NYC Mayor) … but with Sessions as Trumps Attorney General Hillary should be booking her escape to Antarctica … as for the Globalists “who still don’t get it” … Ford and Apple are already bringing factories back here to America from China!!!

    • Paul ...

To completely destroy the “deep state” globalists Trump has to go after their source of income (narcotics) … Trump should immediately call up Putin and tell him the US will take “no action against Russia” if they fire bomb all the heroin poppy fields in Afghanistan!!!

      • Deanna Johnston Clark

Bingo…the N word that’s left out of everybody’s blogs and pontifical pronouncements… the cornerstone of rotten wealth.

    • Mme. Hedin

Dream on….every new factory will be using robotics technology, so the the jobs you are expecting to be brought back wil not be coming back from China and Mexico. Plant and tenda garden, so you and your family won’t starve, as unemployment insurance, welfare benefits, and even social security are likely to disappear under the new President-elect….

      • Paul ...

If jobs didn’t matter (because of robotics) … then why were so many companies moving their plants and equipment to Mexico and China? … the companies moving out of our country did not “robotize” … the companies that did “robotize” are still here … Trump is going after the companies that still pay workers and provide jobs!

      • Robert G

Mme.Hedin Your so right on the robotics. I saw a documentary about robotics taking up to 55% of jobs within 5 years. If we think we got problems with jobs now just wait. For instance most semi truck drivers will be eliminated. All computerized. Ford has announced that within 5 years they will have a car model that will not have a steering wheel or brakes. Fast food , all robotic. Many jobs you never thought could be replaced by robot will be. Kind of scary really.

      • Deanna Johnston Clark

First…Social Security is still a trust fund of personal tax payer money. If it were a “gift” I would get it…as a lifelong homemaker I only get some of my husband’s for my contribution, which modern America considers negligible.
The many other government handouts are payola to keep people from noticing job loss and neuresthenia and PTSD from regime change wars for corporations. You’re saying Trump wants his own countrymen to starve…the people who voted him in? It wasn’t the college kids and the well to do that voted for him. He’s not a mean man…but he will need to trim the excess and find work for young people especially.
I take my disabled husband to work every morning at 4:30. It’s part time, but we want to stay contributors at 69.
Most of us here want to do that…not rot on the couch with space heaters and pills on govt. plastic cards.

  7. Herbert Armstrong

    All Seen In One Generation!
The Bible describes events and conditions that would mark “the conclusion of the [current] system of things,” or “the end of the world.” (Matthew 24:3; King James Version) The Bible calls this time period “the last days” and the “time of the end,” or “end times.” (2 Timothy 3:1; Daniel 8:19; Easy-to-Read Version) The following are some outstanding features of last-days, or end-times, prophecies:

    War on a large scale.—Matthew 24:7; Revelation 6:4.

    Famine.—Matthew 24:7; Revelation 6:5, 6.

    Great earthquakes.—Luke 21:11.

Pestilences, or epidemics of “terrible diseases.”—Luke 21:11, Contemporary English Version.

    Increase of crime.—Matthew 24:12.

Ruining of the earth by mankind.—Revelation 11:18.

Deterioration of people’s attitudes, as shown by many who are “unthankful, disloyal, . . . not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride.”—2 Timothy 3:1-4.

Breakdown of the family, with people who have “no natural affection” and children who are “disobedient to parents.”—2 Timothy 3:2, 3.

Love of God growing cold in most people.—Matthew 24:12.

Noteworthy displays of religious hypocrisy.—2 Timothy 3:5.

Increased understanding of Bible prophecies, including those related to the last days.—Daniel 12:4.

Global preaching of the good news of the Kingdom.—Matthew 24:14.

Widespread apathy and even ridicule toward the evidence of the approaching end.—Matthew 24:37-39; 2 Peter 3:3, 4.

The simultaneous fulfillment of all these prophecies, not just a few or even most of them.—Matthew 24:33.

“Are we living in “the last days”?

Yes. World conditions as well as Bible chronology indicate that the last days began during the greatest generation and many still live and during their time and space God’s Kingdom began ruling in heaven, and one of its first actions was to expel Satan the Devil and the demons from heaven and restrict their activity to the earth. (Revelation 12:7-12) Satan’s influence on mankind can be seen in many of the bad attitudes and actions that make the last days “critical times hard to deal with.”—2 Timothy 3:1.

    • Ralph Meeker

Herbert, You forgot one Important scripture pertaining to the title of your rant; All Seen In One Generation![?]

“This Generation Will Certainly Not Pass Away” What Did Jesus Mean? https://www.ministrymagazine.org/archive/1999/09/this-generation-will-certainly-not-pass-away

      • Charles H

“This generation” – I’ll give it a shot. Every one Jesus Christ came to save, and by extension – the whole human race, through all human history. The witness of God has been evident through all history, and only sinful rebellion ignored, then forsook it for their own or demonically inspired replacement. Old Testament Saints died in their faith, looking forward knowing God would provide a Redeemer or Savior. Those in Jesus Christ’s earthly ministry believed on Him then. And we, now believe on Him looking back – all Faith by Grace within the strain of Divine Truth.
By the way – Armstrong was off doctrinally. (World Wide Church of God)
And Ministry Magazine is Seventh Day Adventists. They believe in “soul sleep” and “conditional immortality” – which miss the mark of sound doctrine. Ellen G. White, a “prophetess”, is commonly associated with this group. Do your homework, folks.

      • Paul ...

Ralph … here is my take … Jesus said the last generation on earth will experience the shaking of heaven and earth (Niburu??) … and that “that generation” alone will see all the things he predicted … like for instance when Babylon (the US) creates ISIS to destroy the followers of Christ!! … and when the opponents of Christ (the movie industry) promote Satan as God!! … but all those Hollywood people who now promote evil, perversion, child sacrifice and Hillary “have now come to see” the one who comes in the name of the Lord (Trump) … and they will all have to “face the truth of Christ’s principles and be judged” as Trump gets our house in order once again [by doing away with ISIS, Hillary, perversion, child abortion (sacrifice), pedophiles and the constant portraying of evil to our children (Miley Cyrus, Devils “as the good guys” on TV, etc. etc.)]!!!

        • Paul ...

And once we stop reading the lying MSM newspapers … we should then go after the lying Hollywood TV shows and movies portraying the Devil as the “good guy” and boycott them as well!!!

          • Paul ...

AND … If we do what “is right” and “what is good” … “This Generation Will Certainly Not Pass Away”!!!

    • Elderlearner

Herbert: I used to watch the Herbert Armstrong during the 70’s on TV and I really felt he knew what he was talking about. (Name rang a bell). During one of his shows he said that he had figured out that America was not mentioned in the Bible because America was BROKE and couldn’t get into the “fight” WWIII to protect their interests. That was way before we owed trillions of dollars. But everything you said you are right and the Bible has never predicted incorrectly.

    • aussie jeff

I’m pretty sure the “Herbert Armstrong”
Pseudonym is a diversionary tactic…..that post wreaks of Jw finger prints all over it!!
      Where’s Edimed for his opinion?

      • aussie jeff

        Just to add,
Herbert first quoted the kjv……then every other verse that was partly quoted was straight from their
        (new world translation)

      • eddiemd

You are correct. Same style of the JW lurker and use of the JW Bible.

The use of Herbert Armstrong is an attempt to use a distraction. See Charles H post.

    • aussie jeff

      Just to highlight the point

Here is a link to biblehub
Where you can read in over 10 different translations the very last scripture Herbert quoted 2Timothy 3:1
Not one of those translations read like his post.

However it reads exactly the same as he wrote in the nwt. (New world translation )
But know this, that in the last days+ critical times hard to deal with will be here.
      Nice try herbert.

Thank goodness you guys are consistently wrong. Big deal about calling Trump as I along with millions of other Americans cslled him President a year ago too.

  9. Mme. Hedin

I could not make it through yet another Geland Celente rant, though I tried, really I did. “You little scum of nothings” was just one stand-out comment. Viscious, smug, nasty, full of hateful words towards others…. Celente is NOT a man I would be proud to be associated with, Greg. I am truly disappointed that you cannot find a more informative and less nasty guest to interview so frequently on your site than Gerald Celente. So I will make some “Trends Research” projections of my own: America will very shortly be under martial law, and next become a Police State headed by dictator/nepotist who doesn’t give a rip about anyone else but himself – especially not the average Joe American. You can kiss freedom of speech goodbye within four years, and you can be sure your tax dollars will line his pockets along with the pockets of his oligarch pals!

    • Greg Hunter

Thank you for your comment even though I disagree. You are in the minority but thank you for reading and supporting the site.

    • Frederick

Mr Celente uses harsh words for horrible despicable people Hes obviously a passionate man and I respect him for that How would you describe these monsters? Someone needs to say it and Mr Celente has the as he says cahones to do it Bravo Gerald

MH, spoken like someone who is still butt-hurt from losing the election… Chip

Gerald is crude and rude…like the WWII veterans I knew so well growing up. He doesn’t pull punches. Please, Madame, read the Gospels….Jesus Christ called the hypocrites and Pharisees “white-washed tombs” and a “generation of vipers” and claimed the prostitutes and the tax collectors would enter the Kingdom of God before they did.

Some of the best interviews you’ll find anywhere, are on this site. Thanks.

      Thank you 44!!

  11. Rodster

The most alarming event that is taking shape at hands of the globalist is the banning of physical cash. Last year we heard rumblings from the German finance minister as well from members of the EU.

Now we are exactly seeing things go from 2nd to 3rd gear. India, now Australia have joined in. Citibank, according to a recent Zerohedge article is going to ban “ALL” cash transactions at certain branch locations which no doubt will spread to the rest of their branches.

The squeeze is on to confiscate more of the working class money who’s already tapped out. Those are the ones who drive the eCONomy.

    • This sceptred Isle

How does Harry Dent recommend holding cash? Cash is not the safe bet that he seems to think it is.

      • Elderlearner

        This sceptred Isle:
Some banks during the 1929 era did NOT close or go under. If you were fortunate enough to have been at one of those I guess you could have really purchased stocks, etc. at rock bottom prices and I think that’s the point Dent is making. C. A. Fitts says that you need to look at the bank to make sure it’s as safe as it can be (she says well managed local smaller or credit unions) but I’ve seen myself rapid declines in the markets and metals over the last 50 years. Slow to go up, nosedive on the way down.

        • This sceptred isle

Yes, I guess any cash that survives or is not locked in a bailed in bank will be worth a lot for a while.

    • markp

Rodster, please read my comment on “Australia going cashless” which I made to Jerry, just below. This has been blown way out of proportion. Citibank does not have a large presence in Australia. Please don’t confuse the size of Citibank in USA, with the local version. Here, it is tiny, in the scheme of things, and there is no third gear.

  12. Jerry

I feel like I’m posting to much, but something is clearly happening with the banks right now. There appears to be a massive shift away from cash globally. India, Australia, just went cashless recently, and China has announced plans to go cashless by the end of the year. Citibank here in the U.S. has also rolled out plans that they are going cashless as well. http://thefreethoughtproject.com/war-cash-nuclear-citibank/

My niece who just got back from China, said she had a hard time exchanging paper currency as well. She said she had to use her credit cards to make it back home. To me this is very suspicious in light of the fact that the U.S. mint has just stopped printing silver. The main question is why? In my mind, the banks are blocking the exits so no one can escape, or “cash out” of the exchange system when the bail ins begin. I know, I know, we’ve all heard this chicken little scenario before, but clearly something is going on.

When I look at the third quarter money velocity charts hitting zero. The number of fourth quarter defaults coming in from the oil industry. And then factor in the unbelievable amount of U.S. treasuries being dumped in the market right now. One would have to conclude that the banks are in self preservation mode, and a great big red light is flashing.

    • Greg Hunter

You are NOT “posting too much.” Post away.

    • This sceptred Isle

What is surprising is how easy it is to wipe out 80% of cash held outside the banks by just eliminating two types of note.

    • Jerry

More signs of impending doom for the dollar as the Shanghai Exchange continues to buckle under the strain of supporting the inflated dollar. Going digital is just another way of saying no to buying more U.S. Treasuries.

    • Kim

Thank you for this important information. Would the move to a cashless Society create the possibility of a global currency developing? How would this effect precious metals since the yuan is tied to gold? Thanks again!

      • Jerry

I would invite you and all on Greg’s site to read this report.

I take this as a banking maneuver, to cut people off from access to their money, to avoid ” monetary flight”. In my opinion if you do not have a physical hard asset (such as food, silver, gold) in your possession, you no longer have control over your money. Digital currency is just another version of smoke and mirrors (like QE) used by the banks to maintain their financial positions. If they can’t sell this to their depositors, the next step is bail ins.

        • JMiller

That article wrongly states, “a cash ban is an attempt to stop bank runs”

A cash ban will not stop bank runs. Bank runs can happen just as well by having large numbers of depositors take money out of the bank electronically or by writing checks or by closing their account and getting a cashier’s check. There is also something called a silent bank run.

Only capital controls, which prevents people from closing accounts and which limits the amount one can withdrawal from their account, can stop bank runs.

          • Jerry

That’s good information, but I know first hand that banks will limit how much cash you can withdraw even though its your own money. EFT and checks are meaningless if the banks won’t honor them.

            • JMiller

As far as I know right now you can withdrawal as much cash as is in your account. If I want $50,000 cash from my checking account, I can get it. However I think that you mean I could not get all of it the same day I ask for it but probably would be limited to just a few thousand dollars. If so, you are correct. I would have to give them notice since bank branches do not carry that amount of money. There would also be paper work to be filed out which would include a Currency Transaction Report (CTR) and may be even a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR). Also special arrangements would have to be made to have the money transported to the bank.

Now for those that have money in Certificate of Deposits, most banks require at least 7 days written notice if you would like to take an early withdrawal from a CD and even then the bank can still deny your request.

And of course you are correct about EFT and checks being meaningless if the banks won’t honor them. But that would only occur under very extreme circumstances which is not likely to happen. Nothing like that happened in Greece when capital controls were put in place. However I did read that in Cyprus many small businesses and a few large ones would not except some electronic transfers because of the uncertainty over when the banks will reopen and concern they may not be able to recoup the funds.

        • Freebreezer

Jerry – all fascinating (and scary) in that the bank cartel is building the banking tower of babel via a cashless society … and when the power goes out and all the little gadgets do not work … the tower collapses and the masses will all be confounded! hmmm – wounder were I read that one before? the theme of history always repeats, just the back drops are different.

          • Jerry

            SO TRUE!

    • FC

Jerry, I’m in China at the moment and agree, if you have US or any other currency for that matter and you walked into a bank, wanting to exchange for Yuan, they will make it difficult for you, but not impossible and it has always been that way.
As a rule, I will always carry the required currencies needed before leaving on any trip, because of that and other reasons.
My next trip to India, in late December will be interesting, because you definitely need cash over there.
With an estimated 300 million people who don’t have bank accounts, cash is King and I have read that it may take up to 6 months to replace the old Rupee with the new………hopefully, the hardship of this transition is short lived for the people of India.

      • JMiller

“to exchange for Yuan, they will make it difficult for you, but not impossible and it has always been that way”

So you can still exchange foreign currency to get Yuan but it can be difficult but that is normal so there really is nothing surprising about it.

Just like there is nothing surprising about the U.S. mint stopping production of 2016 American Silver Eagles near the end of the year.

      • DB Cooper

FC, During my time in China we did not exchange dollars at the bank but on the street w/ the mafia so I am curious if the mob guys are accepting dollars now?? DB

        • FC

Larger cities like Guangzhou and Shanghai, still have the dealers prowling the streets, but in smaller cities like Binzhou, where tourists are not seen, you really need to exchange your money at a bank and they will ask you everything from why you chose this bank? to why are you in this region of China?……….all questions were asked respectfully and I answered back the same way and I was soon on my way again.

Jerry, Australia DID NOT go cashless. Citibank (Aust) made an announcement on taking/not taking cash. The top dozen banks in Australia have over 5,800 branches. Citibank, I believe, has 6 branches, three in Sydney, and one in each of Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. And two of these branches never had over-the-counter teller services, anyway. I hear what you’re saying, and the foot is in the door, but let’s not get carried away.

      • Jerry

        You are correct.
But a precedent has been set.

        • markp

Jerry, thank you for your comment. I don’t necessarily disagree with you – as I said, “the foot is in the door”. It just remains to be seen how fast these nefarious organisations will manipulate governments for their own ends. From the illustration of the recent goings-on in India, the change to a cashless economy could be fast. Very fast. We just need to be more exacting with our comments so we don’t end up being judged as being a member of the “fake news” category.

“U.S. mint has just stopped printing silver”

Nothing surprising about that. The U.S. mint toward the end of the year always stops production of current year Eagles to setup the machines to make the next year Eagles.

Some sellers of silver always makes it sound as if it a surprise because they want to create a panic so people will rush out and buy silver from them. Happens every year.

Off topic, but another Clinton-related body count update.

  14. Spurr

Everybody is missing the point on Trump!
Trump is a freemason… all globelist are freemasons… they worship Lucifer!
All through is campaign Trump kept making the number 6 hand signal… a freemason sign. When Lafarge came last week they both made the thumbs up signal… another freemason sign!

Therefore Trump has to be on the globalist payroll and must fit into the plans for the NWO. I have now read on Zero Hedge that Trump is to meet the satanist queen of England… what more proof does one need to really see Trump has a globalist president… put there has a change of the guards in the US!

What next… ? I would really like to see the Rothschilds agenda for 2017… will Soros regain some grounds in the power struggle that will ensue…! It remains to be seen!

    • Greg Hunter

      Sources please.

      • Spurr

        Farage… not Lafarge. Sorry!

      • Spurr

Ok Greg… here is an explanation of the masonic hand signals.

        • Greg Hunter

This does not prove trump is a Mason. Anybody could make these hand signs by accident when a photo is snapped.

          • Spurr

I hope you’re right Greg… but I have very strong suspicions that Trump is on the side of the Rothschilds. Remember my hypothetical essay a little while ago… well I think it is now quite evident that Trump was backed by the Rothschilds faction while Hilary was backed by Soros. The Rothschilds are also responsible for Brexit and are very much in control. Nothing will come up that will clearly proof my very plausible thinking! However Trump during his campaign repeatedly made the sixes sign… so much at one point I asked myself why was he making such effeminated gestures… we both know that Trump is not effeminated! Farage who is also backed by the Rothschilds made the same sixes during his speeches! Nothing comes by accident with the globalist agenda whether it be the Rothschilds or some other party… its all planned and if they stumble they have an alternate plan!
Its up to you Greg to publish this or not… I have never congratulated you on this fine site you have created… you are one of a kind and completely selfless in what you are trying to accomplish! Mega cheers to you!

            • Greg Hunter

Spoiler alert for the NWO–They Fail. I do not think Trump is controlled my Rothschild family or anyone else. Why would a billionaire do this to himself–he would not.

              • Anthony Australia

Everyone and everything is controlled Greg

            • Tin foil hat

Your suspicions will be confirmed if Trump facilitated the sale of bonds denominated in SDR here within the U.S.
Jobs will come back when the dollar is depreciated significantly.
Trump has borrowed as much as $364 million from Deutsche Bank (not a member of the Federal Reserve banking cartel) which isn’t a big deal if he had billions of dollars in SOUND assets.

        • Jerry

I normally don’t comment on links that are posted here, but in this case I had no choice. I am VERY familiar with the Mason’s and I can assure you that the information you’ve presented is totally false. Mason’s trace their origins back to the building of Solomon’s Temple. It has nothing to do with the Luciferian order.

  15. Bob

Excellent interview. I follow both USA Watchdog and Trends in the News. These two alternative sites have been the most reliable source of information in the financial and political spheres.
Mr. Celente and indeed most analysts that have been interviewed by USA Watchdog are warning us against the imminent crash of the US Dollar. If one studies this issue, a crash of the dollar is the only possible solution. Printing into infinity will only debase the fiat US dollar to a value of zero. An extremely good education of how the ‘money’ system works can be found in the the Mike Maloney series of videos called “the Hidden Secrets of Money” Watch the 7 episodes
Bottom line, in my humble opinion, the US Dollar will hold its value as long as people believe it had value and will go to zero when people lose faith. Many contries of the world are already losing faith and doing trade deals that now exclude the US .
Central Banks around the world are working very hard to make economies more and more “cashless” ad they want to lock people into their digital systems – where they then have total control over your money – hence- total control over YOU.
Historically, the only real money had been gold and silver and these precious metals have held their buying/ bartering power over the past 5000 years.
In conclusion, the US government has little choice except to print more and more money because any meaningful raise in interest rates will surely crash the system ( ie. mortgage defaults, student loan defaults, car loan defaults and credit card defaults )
With the price of gold and silver being artificially surpressed currently, it has opened another wonderful opportunity to buy more of the physicsl metals as an insurance policy against the currency crash that is sure to come .
Thank you Greg and also Gerald Celente for all your diligent work in keeping us well informed.
I will ask all the readers out there to imagine the following.
What If – alternative media did not exist
What If your only source of information was the MSM
How do you think your belief system would be different ?
Would you want to have a belief system that was ‘only’ fed by MSM?
How is your belief system different because you have access to alternative media ?
If you believe as I do that, the MSM has been exposed as mere propaganda machines to protect the interests of the 1% and that alternative media had awakened us to reality of the world.
That alternative media had made us freer thinkers and more critical thinkers then: we owe a huge thank you to real journalists and analysts such as Greg Hunter and Gerald Celente !
    Seek the truth !

  16. Dan

It’s been pretty obvious that the MSM have had an agenda to be the undercurrent for a NWO direction for quite some time now. They were betting on the come that Hillary would see to it that the US of A was a big part of such a dream that would go into existence starting in 2017.
Just to watch Obama running around to different states badmouthing Trump in desperation to have Hillary win , all the while the MSM lapping the speeches up like the loyal dogs that they were. It was pathetic at best!
    What a difference a day makes !
So many positive things came out of this election especially the flaming sword which pierced the heart of the MSM beast.
    Good riddance !!!

Gina, I have news for you, free speech is in the Constitution it is something our forefathers fought for. We need free and independent press, and investigative reporters. Alternative news is the real news. And mainstream media has a trust level of like 5% , CNN was found colluding with DNC and gave Clinton the questions prior to the debate …you think that is the honest and fair unbiased media? There are list of journalist that have been fired when they reported the truth about a running candidate. The unprofessionalism at the presidential debates…reflected clearly a glaring biased, deep decay … it reflected how far down they had fallen into the pit. The mainstream media had lowered the microphone so low that Trump had to slump down to talk . This was done on purpose , because historically the tallest person always wins the election . Even there fake polls made up of oversampling did not deter voters. The media pulled the same crap in Britain, but three million people that never voted , voted that day and the rest is history. The populist movement is sweeping the globe. Gina, you are in the Matrix , but you don’t even know it. Just because you believe something , doesn’t mean it is true. Mainstream media machine is dying and this last few acts of desperation is driving them to attempt to get rid of all other alternative media …. this is what a true monopolist does. But if no ones buying it, you can’t sell it. Do your research guess who signed the Communication Deregulations bill and guess who benefitted, and guess who has been getting kick backs since? Mainstream Media and the Clintons. We are not in Venezuela. We are in the Republic… freedom of speech is one of many things that makes America great . The Constitution birth of freedom, and that government of the people, by the people, for the people shall not perish from the earth.

Another recipient says….”They’re getting their marching orders from someone who is telling them they should be very respectful and I appreciate that.” Another message from a high school student from Berkeley, Calif., named Sophia writes: I am very afraid for my future.”

      S G,

Yahoo! had a ‘Clinton Popular Vote’ pond-stirring article – they took down (Monday 11/21 ,AP article?); but ‘searching’ gives all sorts of articles about Clinton’s popular vote lead gaining (mainly absentee ballots in heavy Democratic Sates like California). The Liberal Press is sniping, picking, pushing, and stirring-up sentiment to feed dissatisfaction. Some person from New England is calling for resignation, impeachment, or assassination. Chelsea Clinton’s Frustrations and Devotion Shown in Hacked Emails
      By AMY CHOZICKOCT. 27, 2016

      Chelsea Clinton was alarmed.

During a 2011 trip to London representing her family’s foundation, she got wind that people close to her father, Bill Clinton, had been lobbying members of Parliament for their own consulting clients, telling the officials they were calling “on behalf of President Clinton.”

People she ran into whispered that the practice reminded them of former Prime Minister Tony Blair’s sneered-upon post-Downing Street moneymaking ventures, a comparison that she said “would horrify my father,” [who had no idea his name was being used.]

Greg, I’m not defending Bill Clinton here, but a naive Chelsea, naively defending her Dad. Then when learning the truth proceeded to clean things up. She’s a good kid, life long friend of Ivanka Trump. If there is even a hint of her doing any kind of jail time I’m sure we would all regret the consequences. Donald should pardon the Clinton’s and demand the moneys be returned to whomever gave. Remember the end of the civil war and Lincolns treatment of the defeated southerners whom waged war against our union and the same should prevail today. Better yet all ill gotten gains to the inner cities and Haiti!

      • eddiemd

The Clinton Foundation should be prosecuted if they have been involved in money laundering and that includes Hillary, Bill, and Chelsea.

In addition, if the email server involved the use of confidential, secret, or top secret documents, then Hillary and everyone involved should be prosecuted. No immunity.

When I was handling confidential and secret documents in the Army years ago, they put the fear of God in you for mishandling protected information. People went to jail for much less than what is suspected in Hillary Clinton’s case. She compromised protected information that could have killed people. We will never know.

      Yes, there is a God.

  25. Mike R

Massive asset deflation dead ahead. (by the way, debt is the ‘asset’ of banks).
“The world is sitting at the edge of a massive deflationary cliff. Even though Central Banks are desperately trying to keep the world’s financial assets from plunging down into the great depression below, signs suggest they are losing the battle.”
“International Reserves peaked on August 1, 2014, at $12.032 Trillion dollars, and as of October 28, 2016 they stood at $11.066 Trillion dollars.” (they have never peaked like this, then dropped, since we went off the gold standard in 1971.) This coincides with the peak in oil prices in August 2014. “As Hugo Salinas explains, the world has experienced massive asset inflation ever since President Nixon dropped the Gold-Dollar peg in 1971. Furthermore, it isn’t a coincidence that the U.S. Debt went up in a similar exponential trend the same as International Reserves since 1971. ”
Unfortunately, the peak and decline of International Reserves represents the POPPING OF THE MASSIVE INFLATIONARY ASSET BUBBLE. This is due to the falling oil price as well as the rapidly declining net energy in a barrel of oil. Read it and weep, folks.

We are talking about a massive bond implosion, debt dollars being wiped out, and derivatives being unwound so fast, they will trigger, mass collateral wipe outs. If its denominated in dollars, its going to be clobbered. Meantime, the spike in the price of dollars will continue in a parabolic upward surge. Gold will take it on the chin for awhile here. Probably a good chance you’ll be able to accumulate more at sub $1000 prices. In India right now, its actually going for $3000 US equivalent dollars, due to their war on cash. But that doesn’t mean that will happen here anytime soon. Currencies around the planet will experience similar painful events. It’ll probably be 3 to 5 years before we see gold rise up again, to get above $2000. Clif High thinks our JIT (just in time) distribution chain will collapse next year. (I’ve always called it JTL = “just too late”) . I think the biggest problem will be getting our goods from overseas, not necessarily transport within our country. This could lead to a resurgence in even more made in america goods and services, but done far more efficiently than in the past. Occasional shortages in some goods, and it could be regional, but America like always will find ways to overcome any of this. If you can find a way to build things that are made overseas, and do it with mostly machines, robotics, 3-D printing, meaning an ‘additive’ process (not cutting and wasting), then you will probably do well in the coming decades. Raw material sourcing, will probably become the most challenging issue.

  26. andyb

Wow Greg!! In the space of 2 days I listened to rants from you (with the Turd) and Celente. You 2 should go on the road; you’d pack them in. I would suggest you look into it; up to 5000 seat venues at $50+ a pop. O’Reilly and Miller are successful at this but they wouldn’t hold a candle to Celente and Hunter.

Re: India: the price of gold has gone up to $2800; Celente should have mentioned that. Also there is a premium on the SGE compared to COMEX and LBMA fixes. This has created massive arbitrage movements which will empty what little is left in Western gold vaults. I would imagine that 2017 will be price discovery time in the West.
Re: the coming CRASH: if rates are raised in December, then it definitely will occur within 3 months. However, it will be difficult (as Kirby says) to blame Trump; too many are onto the MSM disinformation and propaganda (as the election proved).

General point: all that’s happened and will happened has been purposely planned by the Red Shield and their cronies. Make no mistake about it.

  27. eddiemd

Silver still has some room to go down further. I have a friend that recommends buying silver dimes to use as currency when the dollar crashes. He believes that a smaller denomination such as the dime will be better accepted. I don’t think this is a good idea.

I was speaking with a Phoenix policeman about the election of Trump. He said that most of his fellow policemen voted for Trump.

Too bad Sheriff Joe lost here in Phoenix.

It will be interesting to see how the Trump administration responds to the sanctuary cities such as Chicago, San Francisco, etc. I don’t believe that a city such as Chicago can afford to lose federal funding.

Chuck Schumer is already threatening Trump on selections of Supreme Court justices. We will know soon enough come January.

Two weeks to go before the federal government funding patch passed at the end of September expires. Will we have a government shut-down for Christmas? I have heard nothing about this in corporate media. I believe that we will have a shut-down through the holidays. This may be the trigger for the financial collapse to be blamed on the republican congress.

  28. Anthony Australia

Plenty more to come as this whole political advancement has been brewing for years.

  29. Pinocchio

The mistake that most people make is to measure gold in US dollars. We are seeing
currently very temporary dollar strength. But the US$ is a weak currency in a mismanaged economy. Just look at the dollar in Swiss Francs. Since 1970 the dollar
has lost 77% against the Swissy. That can hardly be called dollar strength. If we measure the dollar in real money which is gold of course, the not so mighty
dollar has lost 80% in this century.

So to talk about a strong dollar is totally ridiculous. The dollar is in a long-
term downtrend which will continue for many years until it reaches zero. The
temporary dollar strength gives the appearance that gold is currently weak. But we
must remember that gold should be measured in your home currency and not only in
dollars. It is pure laziness that makes non-Americans quote gold in dollars.

International media don’t make it easier since they always show the dollar price.
The US population is less than 5% of world population and most of the remaining 6.7
billion people are not linked to the dollar. If we instead use GDP as a measure,
the US represents around 25% of global GDP but that still leaves 3/4 of global GDP
which is not dollar based. My point is that gold in dollars is only relevant to a
minority of the world and the rest of us should measure gold in our home currency.

(Egon von Greyerz — Gold Is Near The 2011 Highs In Many Currencies)

I have been paying attention to what happened in India last week. Celente is correct: there has been nothing in the MSM about India. Nor has anything been said in any of the financial media, either. I have read a few articles about it on Zerohedge and that is all. This is the latest ZH article: http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-11-19/brace-economic-disruption-socgen-sees-sharp-rise-gold-india-plans-cap-cash-holdings

It looks like India is ground zero to beta test how to take control of a cash market. So far, things are not going well.

As far as the MSM I have been watching the various Sunday morning programs and the bias is blatant and in your face. The MSM doens’t even realize they are no longer relevent and that people are laughing at them when we do watch. The one cable news channel I do enjoy is FOX Business.

Great interview, keep up the good work!

Gina, and anyone who missed this. This is how you talk to liberals who have no class, ethics, sense of shame.

The only thing that disturbs me is Mike Pence saying he was not offended by the treatment dished out by the “Hamilton” players. We need to stop acting like a beaten spouse who did nothing wrong and does the apologizing or minimizing after receiving a black eye.

People need to stop enriching the Hollywood/Manhattan crowd. It’s why I prefer Russian, Korean, Polish, Serb movies. Less preening, more story. Why fork over money to these pimps who treat the average American lower than a crib slave? They detest America.

Susan’s comment seconded by me Greg. Super interview, Gerlad’s passion is evident. Catherine Austin Fitts’s last interview was a stunner as well.

Great interview, laugh outloud spot on, “CNN – the Cartoon News Network.” – Gerald Celente. The Brooklyn sage tells it like it is.

A day old newspaper is worthless. What is the difference, with a newspaper that can’t be trusted to print the truth. I quit the newspaper and stopped watching tv news years ago. Good to see more and more people waking up.

Why We Don’t Elect Presidents Via Popular Vote
Posted at 7:30 pm on November 18, 2016 by Andrea Ruth

    They say a picture is worth a thousand words. I’ve written more than that combined here, here and here. But for anyone who is still on the fence on whether the Electoral College should be abandoned for the popular vote, maybe this from Michael Ramirez will help;

  44. Charles Turner

A little bit of topic, but did what I saw happen at the play Hamilton, really happen? There is certainly no free speech allowed in that cast, because I cant believe for one moment that they were all 100% Hillary supporters and all the many support workers were 100% Hillary supporters. Racism has been reversed. A perfectly honest, law abiding white man who has served his country was verbally attacked and booed whilst out relaxing with his family. How could this happen in 21st century America and why are parts of the media deriding Donald Trumps tweets supporting Pence, rather than condemning this abhorrent behavior? I am from the UK and can’t believe what I see unfolding before my eyes.

    • SWilliam

Charles turner: Its called life.. In California Caucasian people are now the minority. So as a white man go down to your government office and apply for minority benefits or programs and listen to the laughter that erupts.

    • Arthur Barnes

Not only that but I am informed that no whites could be in the play, only minorities, how about that for reverse discrimination; a clear violation of Federal Law; of course, we all know minorities are never charged with discrimination so they can discriminate at will including blocking voting booths all the while Lynch, Holder & Company stands silent watching the black panthers and others do what they have been yelling against for 100 years. Its time the minorities of this country stood up for justice for all, not just justice for them, but for all of us who have supported their rights all along – otherwise I am afraid there is going to be hell to pay as the Trump election will be just a sideline of the correction that may come to fruition. The now white minority could become a real problem for this nation if the minorities continue to believe their rights are the only one that should be counted. Watch out, what comes around goes around, as the old saying goes.

  45. William Betts

Trump could get us out of the mess we are in now, but it would take some courage on his part and the financial people he appoints. Abolish the FED. Bring the good parts of FED into Treasury. Issue debt free money from Treasury as US Dollars. Recall all Federal Reserve notes. Stop issuing bonds, notes and bills. Revise the banking industry in America. No fractional reserve banking, ie, stop banks from creating money. Only money created debt free at the treasury. Get out of the BIS. In 10 years we could liquidate the massive debt we have now. People this is not rocket science. What we have had now for 102 years with the Federal Reserve Act is socialize welfare for the Wall Street Bastards. Trump wants to make America wealthy for the masses – this is the only way. No, to all you scientifically inclined economists – there will not be inflation of the US Dollar issued debt free at the treasury. Look at Lincoln’s greenback policy during the Civil War…….Bette

    • Tin foil hat

The old economic textbooks that fractional reserve banking has banks taking deposits, multiplying them as much as possible, subject to the reserve ratio, and making a much larger amount loans.
That is not how it works now. In practice, banks don’t wait for the reserves to be available to issue loans. They make loans first and then borrow the reserves in the interbank market. The loans come first, not the reserves.
Banks are never constrained by reserves or reserve ratios. Banks are capital constrained. In our fiat money system, the central bank uses reserves in the system to help them hit a target interest rate. So, the central bank provides the system with enough reserves to meet any reserve ratio at its target rate. The reserves are about helping set interest rates, not about pyramiding money on a reserve base.
Fractional reserve banking is okay as long as it’s adjusted in accordance to population and sound economic growth rather than reckless investments due to easy money. Lehman Brothers had a risk-taking leverage ratio, a measure of the ratio of assets to owners equity, of approximately 24:1 in 2003 to 31:1 by 2007. The risk-taking leverage ratio was emboldened by easy money.
The Glass–Steagall provisions should be restored to separate commercial which requires 10% Fractional Reserve Ratio and investment banking which indirectly raised the Fractional Reserve Requirement from 10:1 to 31:1 in 2007.

      • Paul ...

Trump will have enough power over the Fed within 90 days of taking office to make significant policy changes … his fiscal “rebuilding of America” will create huge demand for all types of commodities … businesses of all types will begin to boom … this will lead to higher commodity prices and push prices for goods and services higher (along with the stock market) … the Fed will try to raise interest rates but Trump will likely try to keep the Fed “restrained” until the economy begins to roll along at full strength … creating jobs and putting more money in the hands of the American people will finally benefit the working men and women who have been unfairly kept impoverished by the 1% !!!

        • Tin foil hat

If Trump kept the Fed restrained until the economy behind to heat up to full strength …. The “heat up to full strength could mean hyperinflation. Unemployment rate was near zero prior to the hyperinflation in Wiemar Republic Germany.

If he put an end to the fractional reserve banking and debt based currency, he may create the 2nd Great Depression if he doesn’t have good economic policies; Trump shouldn’t have any problem with that, or sufficient amount of asset to back up the new “Asset based currency”.

Trump has a difficult task ahead!!! Winning the election may be the easier part of his endeavor to make America great again.

        • Tin foil hat

I don’t know how Trump is going to get us out of this mess but I know he is the most capable.

    • Tin foil hat

“Money created debt free” means “Asset based money”. An asset based monetary system will constrain the issue of easy money. I hope the U.S. Tresury still have 8,000 tons of gold in Ft. Knox to back the “Asset based money”.

    • rwmctrofholz

If Trump tries any of this, the secret service will get the same stand down orders that they received on this day 53 years ago.

This site is without doubt…one of the best for True News.

Sound Money must return if we are to fix what is broken.
In my humble opinion it is likely that the EAST will return the World to a Gold Standard of some sort and the West will be driven back to sound money policies but they will not come willingly.

Simply another stellar interview! Gerald Celente is what I would call (the street fighter of news trends in America). He just tells it like it is, little to no political correctness, which has helped bring this country to it’s knees. We need more people like Gerald Celente telling it as it truly is. Mr. Celente is very articulate in presenting his views. If what he states hurts the “feelers” of the some people, then so be it. They can run to their safe spaces and coddle puppies as far as I’m concerned.

FWIW, due to the recent protests largely by the academia crowd, those type of folks give new meaning to the acronym (CCC). I vote to change it from the “Criminal Crony Class” to the “Crying College Class”. 🙂

Greg, you have so many great interviewees on your site. I do not mean to diminish or omit anyone because most all are awesome. However, my favorites are Gerald Celente (the street fighter of economic and political news trends) Paul Craig Roberts (which I consider a wise grandfather with a mountain of knowledge that I could listen to all day long) and Gregory M. (which I refer to as an astute modern day Paul Revere).

Greg, I realize you are a busy man and you do the best you can, and I surely do not wish to overload the cart. But would you consider booking another interview with Paul Craig Roberts again soon? Considering many things have recently changed, I would like to see his new prognosis of our situation. He is so darn smart and considering he worked for the Ronald Regan administration (as well as a famous writer) I feel he would surely have some very interesting thoughts on our current political and economic situation. His real world experience is priceless.

Thank you again for all your hard work. You are a true patriot.

Yawn……. greg, they’ve been “holding it together ’til after the election” for what…. three electuons now. I wouldn’t quite call it “rocketing@ to 2000, considering you’ve been entertaining guests calling for $5000-$50000. We’ve been played yet again……. jamie Dimon for treasury secretary seems to be the furthest thing from an outsider bucking the status quo.

Greg, cashless society everywhere, been observing younger people without even any change in their pockets buying a single candy bar with a “swipe”. Hold on, the Mark of the Beast is at hand! Folds, Greg, and Christians, hold on to your guns and bibles, and don’t forget to buckle up the next few years is going to be a wild ride bringing in the Anti-Christ!

It is like the Truth hiding in plain sight – Cashless Society puts “the Mark of the Beast” on the horizon. There is noise, and things that matter. Good call, Art.

  51. flattop

GREG; With India and Australia going cashless, how long before the US goes that way. Also, when that happens, will I have an opportunity to dispose of my ” under the mattress” dollars.

    • markp

flattop, I am going to reply to all comments that insist Australia has gone cashless. Please stop promulgating a falsehood. ZeroHedge, I believe, first reported what Citibank (Australia) said about cash transactions at its branches. It was picked up by Jeff Berwick at DollarVigilante, and expanded, in his attempt to sell BitCoin. And, hidi-ho, suddenly, we in Australia are now cashless. What a load of [insert your description]. “Bollocks”, I say. Citibank has six, YES 6, branches in Australia. The top dozen banks have 5,800. So the Citibank proportion of branches is 0.1034% of the top 12. And there’s a lot more banks and financial institutions (such as credit unions etc.) with branches around the country, before one gets to Citibank on the list. I just wish, if you are going to comment, that you at least CHECK the facts first. By the way, please also read my comments to Rodster and Jerry, above. Thanks, muchly. And this is reporting from the ground, or whatever the saying is.

    • Arthur Barnes

Great question, probably be a 3 month amnesty as long as you declare it as income the year you bring it on the books and pay the proper tax, as I said I don’t know but you can bet it is being discussed at the high levels of government; IRS, Treasure, etc. – P.S. there is probably billions out there in cash to be taken in or discounted to no value, one thing is for sure: you can’t have a cashless society with cash out in a black market that has some type of value.

  52. Sylvia

Gerald Celente is one of my favorites, his delivery is great.
His material is right on target.
    Thanks Sylvia

I am in India. Have been for over 10 years. Modi was clear from the start that he wanted to make India go cashless. He started by getting everyone biometric ID. This way they could open bank accounts which the government encouraged. Post offices in the boonies are also used for banking so even villages could get on the bank wagon. Interest rates are very attractive and now the poorer people can get their money to work for them. When one gets a bank account they are issued a PAN number. This PAN number is now being used for large purchases. No more under the table deals.

Everyone I have talked to in the lines at banks are on board with Modi getting rid of black money in India. Politicians get large bribes, called gifts, from black money so of course they will be against this move. The problem is that the implementation of it was not smooth but this is still India. People were complaining they had to take hours off of work to do banking. It is well over a week and this morning I noticed lines were much, much shorter in my local market that houses 5 banks. Foreigners are able to get RS6000 at the airports and can convert small amounts of USD. I got $100 converted the other day. Pre-paid options are becoming a big business here in India. Real Estate has dropped but it was over inflated due to 60% of the purchase price being under the table. I haven’t seen any riots or disorderly conduct to be honest. I waited in line to exchange my old 500 rupee notes for a hour/15 minutes and everyone was very pleasant/patient. Everyone has to present some ID to use this banking system now. Even foreigners are plugged into the system through passports.

Gold is up, but then again it is wedding season here so I believe gold always goes up. Big difference now is that large amounts that are purchased must be done with one’s PAN number. The PAN number will allow the government to make sure taxes are being paid. Banks are flushed with money. 44 billion USD in black money came into them and counting. Will see if interest rates come down. The government had a program in place before this move where Indians could turn in their black money with a lesser penalty. They collected around 9 billion that round. Government got roughly 1 billion from it. Will see what this government will do with that cash now. They need infrastructure. Modi has more surprises down the road to combat black money. He is asking for 50 days to turn things around. This is the new normal and they are just getting the ball rolling. A lot of black money is used for child slavery and human trafficking so they are breaking the back on that industry. But Modi has never lied, or misled anyone, on the fact that he wanted India to go cashless from the start of his administration.

    • Greg Hunter

Thank you for your front line reporting from India! Keep doing it.

      • Shadow of Doubt

I have a number of professional contacts that are not only widely traveled but have resided in India for most of their lives. These individuals paint a less sanitized and more nefarious scenario than what comes to us from Kay. If you or your readers would like another perspective on the cashless experiment they like the insights and reporting of Jayant Bhandari who has a couple of podcasts on youtube.com pertaining to this under reported event.

This is coming to the United States. The FBI and other federal/state agencies have been building the facial recognition data bases for years. Biometrics. The new ATM’s at Chase banks are set up for facial recognition and fingerprint recognition. The new glass screen at my local Chase bank makes sense now.

“Banks are flushed with money”. This is what they want and need.

Mr. Celente ; standing in front of his ” altar ” is truly an entertaining Bishop of BS. He is worth listing to because his colorful and accurate characterization of the psychopaths who want to control us is spot on. His obvious efforts of self promotion are worth enduring because his ” irreverence ” is the only real way to diminish and demean the rotten humanoids who hate humanity and want to enslave or destroy us. I will buy his publication because of this great job he is doing. India and gold : Gold is selling at over $ 2,000 per ounce in that country..as I write this. The economic and social collapse is carved in stone { do not need trends journal to tell this to us } but Mr. Trump may very well prevent a Nuclear War { which was a certainty under the leadership of Clinton}. I am waiting for Mr. Celente to address the TREND of ecosystem destruction of the planet by Geo Engineering activities. His historic buildings in Virginia will mean nothing if we cannot stop this particular activity.

    • Frederick

His historic buildings are not in Virginia but rather upstate New York Francis

  55. Dennis Aldridge

Gregg, Thank you for your blog. It is great to have someplace to go for the truth. In this interview, it is discussed that MSM seems to be nothing but propaganda. I came across this article a few weeks back and was blown away that in 2013 the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) was changed that the US government could use propaganda on US citizens. (http://www.businessinsider.com/ndaa-legalizes-propaganda-2012-5) I have been wondered since finding this out, where is/was the uproar? This change has effectively nullified the Smith-Mundt Act of 1948. I find this an outrage and no one even seems to know what happened to us in 2013.

  56. 8Ball

The main issue at play here is that the establishment was caught flat-footed, fully expecting a Hillary win. They are trying to regroup and attack trump with everything that they can muster up.

The American people woke up and voiced their overwhelming opinion… the establishment is afraid of losing their grip on the public narrative.

  57. James Brown

  58. Larry Galearis

Anti Hollywood statements? Gee, and most of the thrillers coming out of there have a substantial percentage of themes involving rogue/criminal elements in the US government. That works because Americans do NOT trust Washington and Hollywood simply exploits this paranoia. That the paranoia is often fact based is missed by many. Oddly enough in Canada the same kind of paranoia is exploited with the theme that our government can be subverted by the deplorable Americans. That works too. Is this all hooey? No, as we have seen in the shenanigans of this election – that is certainly more extreme than any fictionalized effort for a political thriller out of Hollywood – prove that the paranoia is fact based. Doesn’t anyone see the irony here?

GREG; After listening to Jim Rickards forecast of the collapse at the end of the year, should I continue to hold on to reserve dollars?

    • Greg Hunter

Rickards did not give a time. He just said it was going to happen and it would be sudden and move quickly. Get ready and stay ready–then relax.

      • JC Davis

From what Rickards said on C2C am this morning there will be a massive crises between now and 2018. He added the cash in hand will be done away under 100.00. It will be digital threw the banks, and taxed by neg interest . It is not on youtube yet sorry for no link.

  63. Miro Markovic

Greg, I thank you for bringing Mr. Celente here again. I had listened to almost all of his interviews with you regarding contemporary political and economical trends. This one is far the best of all. It is an eye opener, indeed. Also, I am enjoying all the comments of your readers.

Have a nice Thanksgiving Holiday with your family and thank you for your honest and good work!

As a Canadian watching the current events going on in America I have to say I am appalled at how far the country has fallen. To elect a leader ( Prime Minister ) takes 6 weeks from start to finish here. America takes over a year. A year of endless daily analysis of every candidates’ words , spinning those words to either hate speech or racist views and then doing it all over the next day. The biggest problem and the most evident one is the media. I have never seen so much BS. The reason so many ‘crybabies’ are crying is the media has whipped up a frenzy of lies , hysteria and fear and the public eats it up. Yes , the Clinton propaganda machine did not get Hillary elected – they blew it because their lies were so over the top any fool could see the desperation. But I still see a problem now that the election is over. The problem is the media like CNN has not stopped the lies and propaganda. In fact they seem to have gotten worse. As I write this CNN is calling Bannon nothing less than a racist , a liar and a spy who will destroy America with his ‘Alt Right’ connections. I can’t believe such stations exist and get away with it. CNN and the rest have not stopped. They have turned their attention to getting rid of internet sites that are telling the truth. At this moment it is Breitbart that is the focus of their lies. There seems to be no end to this and until the American people take some sort of action to get these propaganda machines in line or off the air it will just get worse. It sickens me to see how all of a sudden Trump is still on the attack list over topics that are lies. It sickens me to see all the citizens who hold up signs like Rape Melania and kill Trump on social media and there is little or no backlash for it. If this was Obama or his man-wife Michael the Secret Service would have them in prison before they had finished writing their hate messages. I see the Alternative Media on the verge of being wiped out to cover the lies and propaganda going on now on stations like CNN. The Daily Sheeple was taken down for a day over posting the truth in emails which came from another source about the pedophilia going on around Podesta. There is a lot of shocking truth out there that needs to be exposed before any of this can be fixed.

  65. Brian Lauzon

One of the problems I see with Donald Trump and his Make America Great again is his campaign fails to include the rest of the world. Sure , his plans to bring companies back to the US is a decent one and may work but what happens when they return? Nobody is talking about that ‘other’ half of the solution he is proposing. The entire world is in the toilet economically. Shipping is down world wide. Companies world wide are laying workers off and nobody is buying. Too many unemployed means nobody has spending money to buy goods or services. When that slows or stops it means all over the world the need for goods dies. The US can produce as much as it wants but if there is no one to sell to the plan is a bust. All countries are in the same boat of unemployment = less spending = less demand for goods = less demand for shipping = less demand for raw materials , it goes on and on. The bottom line is Trump can’t help the American economy until the rest of the world recovers to buy American goods. Trump can get the recovery started but if the rest of the world can’t keep up his plan fails.

    Greg you gotta love this.
CNN has been lampooned down to this level!
    Their headline on business section…..

They are down to this. LOL

  69. Mike R

Well here it comes folks. You knew that the Clinton Criminal Machine would come up with something to throw the election, and their connected ‘cronies’ have come up with a doozy. I knew they would not fold, or roll over so easily. It was just too quiet all along, and this doesn’t surprise me in the least bit. Especially since MSM has been trashing Trump every single hour since the election was called, so here it is in the raw, which should bring the MSM back out jumping up and down and screaming for heads to roll, since Trump trashed their behinds in the closed door off the record meeting. The 3 headed monster is not dead yet.
