Weekly News Wrap-Up 3.14.14

4By Greg Hunter’s USAWatchdog.com

Once again, the Ukraine crisis is the top story.  President Obama is threatening Russian President Putin with international sanctions if he does not back off in Ukraine.  Russia is countering threats of sanctions with threats of sanctions of their own.  Russia may also demand payment for its oil and natural gas in gold.  Dr. Jim Willie brought this up this week on USAWatchdog.com.  It’s not just the U.S., but the European Union is also leaning towards sanctions, and it appears Germany is on board.  This comes at a time when both the U.S. and EU are facing continued bad economic news.  Just this week, it was reported that wholesale inventories for things like autos rose and sales plunged.  Not a good time to start an economic war.  Meanwhile, Secretary of State John Kerry issued an ultimatum to Russia about the annexation of Crimea.  The deadline is Monday.  Only one catch, looks like the voters there are going to overwhelmingly pass a referendum to join Russia this weekend.  The U.S. and EU say they will not recognize the vote as legit.  Russia is also amassing troops on the Ukrainian border.  Russia already has 25,000 troops in Crimea.  They have been there because it has a naval base there.  The new Ukrainian interim Prime Minister, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, has asked for weapons from the West; but so far, his request has been denied, at least publicly.  The new Ukrainian interim PM has also said, “We fight for our sovereignty and we will never surrender.”  I am very worried that neither the West or Russia are going to back down, and we will have War.  Don’t kid yourself, this could eventually turn into a nuclear war, and where does it stop?  The Obama Administration must know the danger.  Do they actually want war?

I did not want to cover this but I am because image of the President is very important.  This latest “spoof interview” with comedic actor Zach Galifianakis called “Between the Ferns” did not help his image.  On one hand, the President is doing some goofy interview to pitch a failed health plan.  On the other hand, the President is warning Putin to “back off.”  This all happened this week.

It is heating back up again between Israel and Hamas in Gaza.  Hamas fired dozens of rockets into Israel, and Israel responded with air strikes against what it calls “terror” positions.  There had been a cease-fire until this week.  Now, sources claim the cease-fire is back on.  How long this cease-fire will last is anybody’s guess.

With the talk of war and rumors of war along with possible sanctions between the West and Russia, is there any wonder why the stock market plunged 230 points on Thursday?  Inflation is back in the picture, and even the mainstream media is talking about it now, so you know it’s bad.  My friend, Gregory Mannarino of TradersChoice.net, says look out below if you are a stock investor.  The market is going lower from here.  As far as inflation, Mannarino says forget about inflation, the real story is the dollar and it is deflating.  Yes, the deflation in the U.S. dollar will cause more inflation for you and me.  Mannarino says watch the value of the dollar.  It is sinking and will continue to do so.

Dianne Feinstein, who is in charge of the Senate Intelligence Committee, is upset the CIA spied on her committee.   I say, now she knows how we feel!  She says the CIA illegally went into Senate computers to remove documents about torture allegations in the post 9/11 world.  The CIA says the Senate did not have authorization to have the documents.  What?  The people overseeing the CIA need permission to have documents for oversight?  Really?  Over in the House of Representatives, Darrell Issa says what the CIA did amounts to treason.  Feinstein says what the CIA did was unconstitutional and violates “Separation of Powers.”  CIA Director John Brennan has denied doing anything wrong.  I guess some folks in Congress finally see how out of control the spy agencies have gotten.  This goes well beyond protecting the country from terrorists.  Thank you, Edward Snowden.

Finally, the GOP won a Congressional seat in Florida this week in a special election.  Let me tell you why this is an ominous sign for Democrats.  I have been telling you the Democrats are going to get blistered in November.  Now, even ultra-left wing commentator Chris Matthews agrees with me that the Democrats will lose the Senate this fall.  I used to live in Pinellas County, which is a county in the Tampa Bay area.  Tampa Bay is what is called a test market.  Why?  It has a very diverse population.  You could call it a microcosm of America.  The Democrats out-spent the Republican candidate, David Jolly, by 2 to 1.  If the Republican prevailed in this race, can you see how the rest of America might vote come November?

Join Greg Hunter as he analyzes these stories and more in the Weekly News Wrap-Up.

Jim Sinclair will be on this coming week.  It is a must see interview!

How true the words of Gerald Celente: “When all else fails they take you to war”. Dr. Roberts also mentioned that this US threat is nothing more than trying to breakup the BRICS and protect the USD as the reserve currency. As Dr. Roberts further states, this can easily escalate into a Nuclear War if no one backs down.

It certainly feels like the end of times with all the crazy stuff happening all at once. Many have said the world has gone thru paradigm resets before but this is the first time in history we have the potential to eliminate all forms of life on this planet. 🙁

    Hi Greg
Great job as ever this week and last week too.

  3. The Heart

Greg, please get to the place of understanding that all this is a theatrick. It is all a spoof show as planned by the banksters that profit from war. Distract them as the American economy crashes, slipping us into martial law, depression, and servitude for food.

Yes, they also want to kill off a lot of people. Imagine, no law enforcement world-wide that would arrest such preconcieving murderers.

If you donot know him well, and you should, take a read on good ol Dave Hodges page and please have him on your show. He would be a very distiguished and informative guest for you to do a long interview with. Maybe you can join the RBN crew too?

Here is his site and you can connect with him there. RBN also. Share his good works, share yours. More and more truth tellers are uniting like this for those who seek the truth to learn from.

After wrapping up the GLOOMY ukrainian issues, then the GLOOM of the economy , then the voting in tampa bay area, you said in ending, “..thats the way I see it, go out and have a great weekend.” THATS FUNNY 🙂

    • pessimist

He left out one gloomy thing out … the sanctions are not just to penalize Russia.

“Largely unreported sections of an executive order signed last week by President Obama grant the U.S. government the right to seize property of American citizens determined to be undermining, even indirectly, the democratic processes or threatening the peace in Ukraine.

The executive order does not define which actions constitute a threat to Ukrainian democracy or peace.

It cites the National Emergencies Act, which subjects to revocation the constitutional right to habeas corpus, the requirement to bring an arrested individual before a judge or court.

The text of the executive order extends to the actions of what it calls any “U.S Person.”

A “”U.S. Person” is defined by the order as “any United States citizen, permanent resident alien, entity organized under the laws of the United States or any jurisdiction within the United States (including foreign branches), or any person in the United States.”

The order freezes property of “U.S. Persons” deemed by the treasury secretary in consultation with the secretary of state to have been “responsible for or complicit in, or to have engaged in, directly or indirectly” in the following:

      Actions or policies that undermine democratic processes or institutions in Ukraine;
Actions or policies that threaten the peace, security, stability, sovereignty or territorial integrity of Ukraine; or
Misappropriation of state assets of Ukraine or of an economically significant entity in Ukraine.

    Hi Greg
What a truly fascinating week it has been following Watchdog.
There can be but one item on the agenda for America now.
Get those two lunatics [ Obama and Kerry ] out of office before they start WW3!
    Cheers

  6. Fraser

Thanks Greg, great wrap as always…
If I may, I would like to point a few fingers (sorry it’s a bit long).

Peter Kershaw, in “Economic Solutions” lists the ten major shareholders of the Federal Reserve Bank System as: Rothschild: London and Berlin; Lazard Bros: Paris; Israel Schiff: Italy; Kuhn- Loeb Company: Germany; Warburg: Hamburg and Amsterdam; Lehman Bros: New York, Morgan: New York; Goldman and Sachs: New York; Rockefeller: New York. The balance of stock is owned by major commercial member banks.

The Council on Foreign Relations aka CFR (whose members include Bush (x2), Clinton (x2), Cheney, Obama, Kerry and every other important civil servant and politician running American today) was incorporated in New York on July 29, 1921. Founding members included (by no coincidence) “…such potentates of international banking as J.P. Morgan, John D. Rockefeller, Paul Warburg, Otto Kahn, and Jacob Schiff…” – in other words exactly the SAME CLIQUE which had engineered the establishment of the Federal Reserve System.

Bringing this together, quoting Baron M.A. Rothschild : “Give me control over a nation’s currency and I care not who makes its laws.” If correct, it follows that America and its Constitution have been hijacked by the unelected putsch who established both the FED and the CFR and which now control both America’s currency and its political agenda. On this subject, I note Hillary Clinton’s speech (as the powerful Secretary of State) bowing down before the CFR:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYq3TaBik64

My favourite FED / CFR cabal “conspiracy facts” are:

[1] The very existence of the Federal Reserve Note is a conspiracy, because they can make huge profits by creating money out of thin air and then lending it to the Government at interest. Thomas Edison wrote in the New York Times: “Any time we wish to add to the national wealth, we are compelled to add to the national debt. Now, that is what Henry Ford wants to prevent. He thinks it is stupid, and so do I, that… people who will not turn a shovelful of dirt nor contribute a pound of material will collect more money from the United States than will the people who supply the material and do the work”.

[2] Jim Marrs in his book Crossfire identified the fact that JFK, by the issuance of Executive Order 11110 tried to transfer power from the Federal Reserve to the Treasury Department by replacing “Federal Reserve Notes” with “Silver Certificates” and “United States Notes”. However on the eve of success, the Order was stopped by his assassination, which he then proves(?) was carried out by the CIA on instruction from the CFR. This at least makes more sense than a lone gunman with a “magic bullet”. On this subject, I also note JFK’s attack on “secret societies”, which was reported at the time as being directed at the CFR :
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4CJArkuWCQ

[3] While the CFR orchestrates America’s agenda through aid programs, NGOs, covert operations, market manipulations, the military and wars– they are all being paid for by the Government – with debt borrowed from the Federal Reserve – which is then owed back to members of the CFR – with interest! . Furthermore, (to some extent) this influence can be bought by making umm, err, “donations” to the CFR. Hey Saudi Arabia – want war in Yemen? – no problem, we’ll have the Government send around the sixth fleet at the tax payer’s expense – just donate a couple of billion bucks here!

This is one of the fundamental reasons why America has a bloated military and the wars NEVER stop – because (apart from needing to defend the dollar) the FED / CFR cabal make money on the Government’s debt. In fact, the CFR want every American in as much debt as possible and paying interest to them. And when the public defaults, the CFR banksters take their assets.

[4] Through its banker members Morgan, Warburg et al, the CFR engineered the “pump and dump” leading to the 1930’s depression and made fortunes from it. Then they proceeded to buy up the world at depressed prices and thereby establish their global power. (The fact that CFR members made fortunes throughout this time period is history, not “conspiracy”).

Today we have another group of criminal inside traders and market manipulators taking over the world and keeping out of jail. Their leader is been Ben Bernanke – another active CFR member – who claims to have studied the events surrounding the 1930s carefully. The fact that Ben and the CFR know exactly what is going is undisputed, because they have done it all before!

I believe that QE is the (5-year) “pump” that has created the “bubble to end all bubbles” and its untimely exit will be the “dump” that causes the “crash to end or crashes”. After that crash, the public debt that was created by the QE program will then become repayable to the Federal Reserve and the CFR. This will result in the bankruptcy of the American Government and its private citizens. All remaining assets will either be confiscated or taxed to nothing. Within five years, America will be fully owned and controlled by the core members of the CFR and Federal Reserve.

[5] Concurrently, the CFR are on record as wanting to disarm the American public, which (I believe) is so that their “coup” will be as peaceful as possible.

[6] Finally, the saddest thing is that there is no-one to alert the public and report this corruption, because the “free press” has been corrupted as well.

In summary, to understand American actions, we only need look at what is good for the CFR – which is massive public debt and the continuation of the Federal Reserve Note as the world’s Reserve Currency. Unless stopped, I believe that the CFR will continue on to loot the whole planet. In the end, Americans must either stand up to this tyranny, or face their own destruction.

And so I say again, hang up signs and join protests to IMPEACH OBAMA and bring back PCR and Ron Paul (with bullet-proof vests) to clean out the CFR rats nest that currently forms the American Government. Because Obama is just another CFR puppet and therefore is an immediate danger to us all (please note the date):

    http://www.wnd.com/2008/11/80686/

Then again, as PCR says, it may be too late because America is already Lost.

    • Charles H.

      Fraser,

Very good synopsis – and probably in the 90th percentile in correctness: especially about the FED/CFR owning everything having debt. Well written.

    • Fraser

Greg – forget about Republicans V Democrats, because the CFR / FED cabal own both sides. And by talking about them you are only perpetuating the fiction that they matter.

If you really want to get back your “freedom and democracy”, focus on:
[1] Abolishing the FED and replacing the “Federal Reserve Note” with a “United States Note” issued by the Treasury Department.
[2] Declaring the Council on Foreign Relations a terrorist organization (which they most definitely are) and cleaning them out of the Government.

JFK tried and failed – but I’m sure you can do it !!!

    • Colin - 'the farmer from NZ'

      Fraser
Great post Fraser. And awesome to see more discussion regarding the private banking cartel ownership of the FED.
For the first time in weeks in my main post I didn’t mention the FED. However this was only because if Obama and Kerry take the US into WW3 the FED ownership would be of slightly secondary importance.
Nonetheless, war or not, the US can never move forward financially without ousting this evil institution. Talking about any financial reform whatsoever is a waste of breath if this fundamental problem is not addressed.
My understanding is that the FED is not only unconstitutional, but illegally formed contractually in the beginning anyway. It would be great GREG if we could have some expert guests on that could discuss the legality of the FED and how it could be replaced by a Govt. owned central bank model. Perhaps it could be completely or partially divorced from the central bank system of the world.
I have not given up on the US yet. Being a farmer with lots of debt I have been through some very hard times too. What I have learn’t is to never ever give up. When you are in the crap don’t just focus on the whole gloomy picture. Look for the fundamental issues that have got you into this predicament and fix those. Don’t try to fix everything at once. This will not happen, as a whole it will be all too overwhelming. Prioritize items and tackle them one by one. Once the worst few are solved the subsequent ones will get easier.
I have noticed some earlier responses to my posts where some people have given up and basically said – ‘just let it crash and the sooner the better’. They may well be right, however new models still need to be found. There needs to be robust informed discussion on what might replace the current broken model.
IMHO the time has come where WATCHDOG might have some guests on that offer some alternative ideas that could, if not save the economy, at least provide something to build from when total collapse happens.
      Cheers
      Col

      • Fraser

Colin – here is some background information on “Federal Reserve Notes”, “United States Notes” and “Silver Certificates” (redeemable for silver):

        http://www.rapidtrends.com/it-almost-became-money-united-states-notes-versus-federal-reserve-notes/

It is a longish article, but worth reading. I note that:
        – JFK apparently reasoned that by returning to the Constitution, which states that only Congress shall coin and regulate money, the soaring national debt could be reduced by not paying interest to the bankers of the Federal Reserve System, who print paper money then loan it to the government at interest
        – Immediately after JFK’s assassination, the FED withdrew from circulation all money that competed with their FED-Note. The “Silver Certificates” were made redeemable for only one FED-Note.
        – JFK’s executive order might not have ever been repealed, so may still allow the Treasury Dept. to print it’s own money.

But I think more research is required…

    • Liquid Motion

      Nicely worded Fraser.
Consider that “The Players” are many. They have infiltrated all elements through various nefarious means.
“Americans must either stand up to this tyranny, or face their own destruction”
” IMPEACH OBAMA and bring back PCR and Ron Paul ”
I fear that this route does not resolve the issues at hand.
First and foremost any resolution of these creatures that inhabit and leach off this world, can only be achieved with protection and force. Necessarily that implies having the Military on side. To overthrow any Government including the Real Rulers (and any of their appendages) requires the strength of not individuals, but of the very thing that literally threatens their existence. A coup in essence. Without one, we are stuck in the quagmire of self destruction.

      • lastmanstanding

While I agree with you regarding Frasers post, most of us went thru that material years ago. I just can’t read any more of it.

I have spent the last 5 years turning my back on the lie that was our life. I continue to take advantage of the current tech to maximize my ability to survive without it or with damn little of it.

We are preparing for a step back in time. How to get clean without electricity, how to cover all the bases with healthcare. How to enrich our garden areas with what we can scrounge. Grow most of our food and save, store, can it from year to year. Making biofuel for necessary use. (a trip or 2 to town a week.) Sourcing all our meat within 10 mi. from our home. Save seeds. Store rainwater, snowmelt, etc. Means to protect it for years.

I agree with the rest of your post. We must take it to these bastards and send them packing for good. When? A good question. I believe that they will make the final/fatal mistake…then we take our country back. WE know how.

“I am so far gone from this paradigm that I can’t even see it in the rearview mirror.”

    • Dan

      Fraser,
BEST post I’ve read in a LONG time! KUDOS! It’s posts like this that really add to Greg’s excellent cite.

    • JC Davis

Fraser. Excellent. I think when Obama is out of office the (dump) will land onto a constitutionalist type president to give the false allusion the constitution caused it all. Only those few keeping watch over the country will know what really happen.

    • Colin - 'the farmer from NZ'

      Fraser
      Further to your post.
This is a quote from a founding member of the CFR.
“The common interests very largely elude public opinion entirely, and can be managed only by a specialized class whose interests reach beyond local reality”. – Walter Lippman 1922.

      Correct me if I am wrong but the two most influential members of the CFR currently are;
#1 Co-Chairman and CEO Carla Hills who is also a board member of The International Advisory Committee for JP Morgan Chase.
#2 Co-Chairman Robert E Rubin who spent years as a high level executive in Goldman Sachs. Also a board member of Citigroup.

To me it doesn’t look as though a whole lot has changed in the last 100 years.
      Cheers
      Col

  7. Just Justin

Greg – what did you mean by this – “I did not want to cover this but I am because image of the President is very important?” I’m quite puzzled, especially since I think the image of the current president is that of complete doggie droppings, an image he has worked very hard to obtain. On second thought, that’s an insult to doggie droppings!

    • Greg Hunter

      Just Justin,
I did not want to look petty but I realize the image of POTUS is important, especially when he’s threatening a global power.

Mr. Obama does not care about the U.S. I am afraid that most Americans will find out soon enough. In fact, it is far worse.

  10. Perry

When I hear about talks in the Ukraine and the sensitivity of the matter between two superpowers I can not help but thinking about this quote.

“When peaceful negotiations are in progress, war like preparations should of been made before hand.”
    – Sun Tzu

I hope cooler heads prevail as I can only see two extreme possibilities. That the IMF/US back-off and retreat with their tail between their legs, or tempers will flair clouding common sense which can take logical judgment. I like G. Celentes’ idea of a UFC match between two leaders (Putin vs. Obama). We know hands down who would win that one. We will them see who the real man in. Long gone are the days when Kings were “MEN” who fought along side with their soldiers. Today war is defined as Old men talking and YOUNG men dying.

God help us in this outcome. But I think God will sit this one out as even he is probably sick of all the hypocrisy.

  11. Robert Bodendorf

I would say the banksters are advising Obama. Remember when tensions btw Israel/Iran were at their peak and Israel was caught making money on the rise of oil prices? It is good to remember who Obama works for and the apparent stupidity can make sense. oh, and Israel has been caught with their fingers in false flag events over and over and over, so they can attack. However, don’t just follow the money, there are bigger agendas at work( eg one world gov’n, population control and reduction etc). Who’s to say Putin and Obama aren’t on the same team?

    • Galaxy 500

Big deal . So Israel hedged and made money. Why would that be an issue? Have you seen what the US banks are doing?

  12. Ugly

Don’t count the Dems out yet for this November. With voter turnout much higher than voter registration in many districts, anything can happen. This November will actually be a referendum on the American people. It will tell the attitude of Americans and if they really believe we are heading for disaster.

    • Charles H.

      Ugly,

With little power to reason practically; and less conviction to stand for principles – Liberals band together for a power of majority. ANYTHING to avoid an ideological contradiction. So, yeah – it takes a mob to ruin a country. Like racial cohesion: ideological cohesion is stronger with the Sheep; than within individuals who vary with principles and convictions. Fear the Kool-Aid and Cheater’s fraud.

    • Dan

Any discussion about Dems vs. Repubs, red vs. blue, etc. is a waste of time & misses the point.

      • Galaxy 500

        Dan,
So you are either going to vote for the green party, the communist party etc….the republican didn’t vote for Obamacare. Yes they are crooked but less so than the Demoncrat. Or are you going to boycott voting all together.

  13. Galaxy 500

    Greg
you wrote,”  As far as inflation, Mannarino says forget about inflation, the real story is the dollar and it is deflating.  Yes, the deflation in the U.S. dollar will cause more inflation for you and me.  Mannarino says watch the value of the dollar.  It is sinking and will continue to do so. ”
Deflation is a good thing it means your dollars go farther and are more valuable. I think you mean the dollar is devaluing not deflating.

  14. Galaxy 500

Great weekly news wrap up. …crappie world news. Oh well. It will be worse before it gets better.
You said that when the Senate goes Republican that they will repeal Obamacare and the Dems will vote to override O’s veto to save their skins…they will be saving our skins too.
Obamacare is not about healthcare. Its about lowering the standard of living of the American worker, about controlling the population and about raising taxes. This 2,000 page monstrosity is full of tax increases including making the public pay tax on employer provided healthcare that used to be tax free. Plus businesses don’t get to deduct it either. Its a massive screw job but you don’t hear anything about it in the news media.
Greg, I see were its likely that you are being monitored by DHS and to me that explains why some of the comments appear to be the work of govt paid trolls or lunatics. These guys are afraid of the truth. It concerns me that the DHS and the NSA are more interested in spying on Americans than they are preventing terrorists acts. You cant tell me that if NSA was looking for terrorists and all the links and emails and social media that the Boston bombers were creating in addition to a warning from the Russian govt that these guys were terrorists that they somehow missed it. As you have said before, its too stupid to be stupid.
According to DHS, if you are a Christian, believe in the Constitution, believe in individual liberty and /or have more than a seven day supply of food; then you are a terrorist.
Why aren’t these guys watching the boarders instead of USAWatchdog? Because illegal aliens and dead people vote 10 to 1 Demoncrat.

    • Greg Hunter

      500,
The only way Democrats will win is massive voter fraud. You are correct sir!
      Greg

      • Galaxy 500

Why else would the justice dept be against ID for voting? Holder and Obama are some of the biggest criminals in America and no one is doing anything about it.

      • JC Davis

Greg you are right. However vote fraud is much like the NSA , and banker fraud It is done by the same oligarchy control. The republicans may win, but not without the oligarchy picking them. Either way nothing in Washington will change. A oligarchy has no face.

        • JC Davis

Greg, and group. Maybe the only way to have a fair election is for all Americans to vote. The crooks would have a really hard time rigging the vote if everyone voted. Just a thought.

          • Galaxy 500

How do you figure? You have dead people voting, you have illegal aliens voting but it would be nice if all US citizens did vote. I remember people in other countries braving gunfire to vote for the first time and a good portion of us cant be troubled to vote. But then, considering how many low information voters are out there I am happy we don’t have everybody voting.

  15. Jerry

    Obama to Putin.
” You’d better leave Ukraine …..or…..what the hell….I’m gonna go play golf.

Greg, talk about economic news. At the time I write this, the dollar index is 79.44 !
The collapse is no longer theory, its happening. Do you think the Banking Cartel will try selling Gold Shorts again to try and shore up the dollar? I just don’t see it this time. I think they’ve fired all their bullets. QE is all they have left.

    • Greg Hunter

      Jerry,
I think the bankers are going to be big buyers in the not so distant future.
      greg

    • Charles H.

      Jerry,

I think they have the system rigged to win BOTH ways – whether market goes up or down. And gaming Precious Metals will go on beyond absurdity – way past when it doesn’t work: because those who do it won’t BELIEVE it doesn’t work. Hence, the ‘Flogging a Dead Horse” illustration will apply.

      Greg,

Like Agents in the Matrix – they are guarding all the doors; they have all the keys. I suspect they keep the big paper on gold, AND will formally possess the physical when the sirens sound.

      • Jerry

        Good point Charles.
But I think the other players are leaving the table living the Fed to play with itself. You can’t make money unless you have someone to buy your worthless paper. I think Greg is probably right. Now that they’ve destroyed the dollar, they will make money off Gold with the coming moonshot. But what does that leave the rest of us with?

        • Charles H.

          Jerry,

Not to underestimate the enemy – if the CFR represents the drive behind the FED (read Fraser above): then the FED is the Tool and patsy to sweep everything in, then kill it, insulating the Drivers. Like a model (car) once it’s served it’s purpose and given the mileage – it’s junked. (Or fleeing the scene of an accident, undetected by purpose.) The power in the pocket is government. The $ index was 72 ish in 2011…IMO, it will need to drop below that before collapse happens. An event that turns the market upside down…for the last time.
79 is nothing. One day of silver bouncing $5-10 or gold $100+ it will be over.

It will be every man for themselves. There will be nothing done to stop it this time.

    Dear Greg,

I truly think Merkel is between a rock and a hard place on the US/Russian confrontation. Germany is an industrial nation with a positive trade balance yearly. Her banks are heavily invested in Russia. Is Germany ready to give up a couple of hundred billion in trade surplus and Deutsche bank for sanctions? My bet is that Merkel lets the Bundestag cry nein.

Do the neocons want war? Yes always. They are down in their DUMBs pushing toys around a board and deciding what areas are acceptable losses.

      Tsuki,
Good analysis and I can’t argue with your logic.

    • Heidi Eberspaecher

Do not put too much into “Angela” Merkels power: She is also only a puppet in these dirty games . When you investigate a little in the German history you will also find out that Germany is NOT an independant state. We do not have and never had any rights at all. Paul Craig Roberts stated this clearly on his site in his article about Ukrainian Neo-Nazis dated 2014/02/26:….Today Japan and Germany are Washington’s puppet states…” So all is planned by the “elites” and these puppets are only at their place because they obeyed to this game. Germany seems to be the biggest piece of cake on the table and therefore is having some moments of importance.
My solution for all this is to live in here and now, be prepared for what may come and trust in God “All that has to happen will happen”.
      Love + Light
      Heidi from Germany

        Heidi,

Thank you for your comment – it was informative, refreshing, and well written. It is very satisfying that the work of Mr. Hunter reaches even to Germany; and then back to us! I am sure that many here will appreciate the observations and articulations of your fine mind – if they would only say so! Donka Fraulien. (Horrible, I know – I studied Spanish.)

I agree Charles H.! Thank you Heidi!!

Greg, another excellent Weekly Wrap-Up. Regarding war, in particular WWIII, I am inclined to buy Joel Skousen’s belief that the PTB will be calling that and they are not ready. Russia needs more time to buildup and the US needs more time to disarm. As for a ‘lessor scale’ war between Russia and the Ukraine, that could be devastating. And your point about Obama’s ego being a possible wildcard is a valid concern.

Rodster is right, it does feel like the end times are near. Perhaps the stage is being set for prophecy to play out.

    • Galaxy 500

      Hi Dianne
How do you figure that war between Ukraine and Russia will be devastating?

  18. jb

    Thanks Greg.
I want to thank your for all you do and all the people you interview for us.
Over the last several months I no longer listen to the weekly wrap, but did this week. Having just had JWillie on I wondered if there was any more info in that context.
And why do I not regularly listen to it weekly wrap-up anymore, one might ask?

Greg, you always ask if the ‘administration’ is that stupid with all they say and do, insinuating they are or must be dumb. And the answer is no Greg, they are not that stupid. Insane maybe but stupid no and simply see no problem with them surviving if the button is pushed. Again… insane, but not stupid enough to not know what they are saying and doing across the board. You regularly refer to parties… dems this reps that. And with out going into that game I must say to assume that has any meaning on anything that is or will transpire in the future in regards to real change (again) or a better future via the political process is absurd at best. Time after time the means of keeping the party plebs in line and or at least tuned in to their own demise in the divide and conquer game is served up as news, as if there is change on the horizon, or from within, is simply a waste of time. Sighting names of psychos in suits and dresses may serve as news for some and enlighten many, I get that. Yet I often wonder if the lack of validity or any truth in what they say or do is even recognized here as their doings are regularly sighted as if they are relevant to anything other than infighting or sheep herding.

The facts are all know from washington to moscow that the dollar is going down and welcome it while the locals, as in florida, vie for their own little fiefdoms all the same. The big boys game is how to best rape and pillage until it does, while the locals inclined to ply the trade of politics simply line pockets and lust for more as always. Politics as we know it my friend… a waste of time and energy.

    Putin is no different in ensuring his empire as we are, yet seems to be able to beat the neo-psychos at there own game, so far. And just as the left right game that they play in florida all of it is a game played on the ignorant and gullible, a ruse, and a distraction while the sheep and clueless from kiev to florida polarize accordingly. And I will echo what JWillie has said many times before upon being asked about it;
‘I dont give a dam about politics’ (or the stock market as well when asked).

And while I avoid all this “news” where ever it is proffered I wanted to let you know I love ya for what you do, all the same.

    • Greg Hunter

      Fair enough JB. Thank you.
      Greg

How could war be devastating? Let’s see, there is the fact that Ukraine possessed much of the USSR’s nuclear weapon arsenal. Do you honestly believe ALL of these weapons were returned to Russia after their divorce settlement? And there is the fact that the last time these countries had a major hissy fit, seven million people died. Gee, what could possibly be devastating if these countries fight again?

      • Galaxy 500

        Nope,
You are misinformed. Russia took all the nukes out of the Ukraine. Bill Clinton helped with that.
so if they fight, yes there will be damage and people will die but it will not take much to take it over. You see the population there is mostly unarmed…sticks, stones and pitch forks against guns…well it doesn’t take long to declare a victor

Didn’t notice any reports of Corzine’s kid “expiring.”

      Lots of missing plane “stuff.”

I like the story about the 4 Chinese guys and a co. named Freescale Semiconductor (FS)being 20% (each) owner of a patent “pending” for maximizing dies on a wafer. (computer bs) Four days after the planes disappearance the patent is approved. Hmm? The 4 Chinese guys from FS, a Austin, Texas based company were on the plane. Hmmm? Freescale Semiconductor is owned by Blackstone…and who do you suppose owns FS via Blackstone…Jacob Rothschild…Hmmmmm??????????

If one of the partners dies, his shares are divided evenly between the rest. So, if these 4 guys are dead, the lone survivor gets all the shares.

How Russia Could Set Off an Inflationary Spiral in the United States

If Russia requires gold for payment for it’s oil and gas it could set off an inflationary spiral in the United States.

The United States has threatened sanctions against Russia and Russia has responded that if sanctions are imposed that they may dump their U.S. Treasury reserves in retaliation. We know that the amount of U.S. treasuries that Russia holds is about $200 billion-not so much in the grand scheme of things and an amount that the Fed could probably sop up pretty easily (about a few months worth of QE) to limit the impact of a large scale dumping.

Russia and China have been accumulating large sums of gold at lower prices for the past three years. If they were to dump their U.S. Treasuries they would take a loss. But if Russia were to couple their threat to sell their U.S. Treasuries with a requirement that gold be used for payment for the oil and gas that they sell (as Goldcore, Jim Willie and others speculate), the value of their gold reserves would rise in price probably more than enough to cover their dollar losses.

The impact of a move by Russia to require gold as payment would require many countries to sell some of their U.S. Treasury reserves to raise capital to acquire gold so they can use it as payment for Russian oil and gas. This would cause the dollar to weaken, gold to soar and the price of imports to increase and since the United States is a net debtor and net importing nation, the impact would be rising consumer prices.

  22. Chris

    Hey Greg,

I was wondering if the US government is using this situation with Ukraine to put the final nail in the US’s economy? If the stock market collapses and takes with it what remains of the economy, the Democrats and Republicans can put the blame on Russia, and the majority of the voters will buy that explanation, thus whipping their hands clean of the mess they’ve created. It will also strengthen the government that much more, since the majority of people will look to the government to give them a helping hand. That’s my theory.

PCR – ” The USA is a Busted State”

Notwithstanding the many flames that are burning across the globe, I feel that the concept of Sanctions being introduced against Russia deserves more attention. Here we have the fuse that literally sets the global financial war into motion. China’s warning to the USA and the EU about avoiding these actions, is not a veiled threat.

    • Charles H.

      LM,

Everything has some “play” or tolerance to it – like pieces fitting together. And at this juncture I think Beijing and Moscow have their heads screwed on and acts together more than Washington. Washington is flailing and threatening and bullying – playing hard, fast, and loose. Moscow and Beijing are tight and in control of themselves. I still hold the idea that they will allow the US to destroy itself without their help as long as it lasts. But as you say – should NATO still play pawn to Washington, and feet start stomping feet: The Big Two will act.

You are a very intelligent and accomplished man; and even more: you are a PRINCIPLED man. You are a doctor, and you experience the vitality of life finding a way to heal – to go on to fulfill its course and purpose. You, alone decide what the insult and injury will mean – but I suggest that you have a course and purpose HERE. I endure much blasphemy against my God; then try to respond well – because we are the only light they will see, if they see it in us – with the hope they will look for themselves one day. You may not be in the majority here: but it is as if a color has been removed from our sight. And you are missed.

  29. Craig Z

Hi Greg, As PCR pointed out this week in your excellent interview with him, that the answer to your question “Do they WANT war?”, the answer is YES, THEY DO! The neocons that are running this ship, the US Government, ARE doing EXACTLY what THEY have said they’re going to do! They WANT a full scale nuclear war for many reasons, as absolutely insane as it would seem to the rest of us, but THIS is their PLAN! I mean, come on now, they’ve done nothing since Bush Jr. but try and provoke SOMEONE to stand up to their bullying and until NOW, no other country’s had the balls to do it. It’s OUTRAGEOUS that people of this country actually fall for their obvious BS, but then I’m preaching to the choir. I’ve thought that Iran would be part of the equation, but THIS situation is REALLY getting scary!

  30. ACasey

    Good one Greg!
Regarding Obama airing on Between the Ferns, this says it all. Obama revealed his complacent despondency doing this interview while instigating a global war with Putin at the same time.

Putin? What kind of interviews does Putin do? Marathon interviews annually. Last one in front of 1300+ journalists, no holds barred, 4+hours. All comers. http://en.ria.ru/russia/20131219/185721090/Putin-Holds-Annual–Marathon-Press-Conference.html

Anyone want to know who Obama is? Watch the “cartoon” Between the Ferns. Most revealing.
Anyone want to know who Putin is? Watch his annual marathon interviews. Most impressive.

  31. JoeyRomanus

Both the Dems and GOP need to be voted out of office (that’s if electronic voting is not rigged), for they’re both war mongers and blowhards of the Federal Reserve Parasitic Genome. The political establishment in both parties (it’s really ONE party, for they’re two heads of the same beast) need to be tried for treason, too. Why do the zombie constituency still allow the dialogue, “should I vote Dem or GOP this year?”, to continue to be embedded into their “minds”?

Great wrap-up as usual, Greg. Take care.

      G500,
World Bank has strict policies on lending. Such polices are focussed on “Sustainable development”. Like the BIS, Fed Reserve they are privately owned institutions. They work in tandem with UN, IMF under the auspices of the Zionist Moneyed Elite. Any involvement of Prince Bernhard or Rothschild should quash any remaining inappropriate thoughts of non Jewish control.
With 20 years of service as a loyal and senior officer of the WB, one has to wonder why she and her husband continued to work for the organisation that has direct association with NWO policies and links to the controlling elites (International Bankers and Royal Families).

They say that if you control the money flows , you control the entity and their activities.
The World Bank is part of the Zionist movement.
It was established concurrently with the Bretton Woods System. Know who was instrumental in that and you have the direct connection to who controls the World Bank.
