Financial Collapse Will Trigger Civil War-Doug Casey

By Greg Hunter’s USAWatchdog.com

Best-selling author Doug Casey wrote “Crisis Investing” at the time when the U.S. political landscape was transitioning from the Carter Administration to the Reagan Administration. Now, Casey sees a coming crisis that is equal or worse than the Civil War.  Casey explains, “In the U.S. right now, there seems to be so much antagonism it’s almost like pre-Civil War.  There is actually hatred in the U.S. at this point.  It used to be the Republicans and Democrats could disagree, but they could have a civil conversation about a difference of opinion.  Now, it’s active hatred between these two groups.  This is not going to end well.”

Casey thinks the coming financial collapse will be the trigger. Casey says, “It’s going to come down eventually.  I am worried about that, but we are in a situation where the country seem like it is just before a civil war.  It will be more serious than just a financial collapse, and it is likely to be set off by a financial collapse.”

Casey says financial markets are all in bubble territory, but the bond market is in the biggest bubble of them all. Casey contends, “What papered things over?  Why did it get better for the last few years?  These governments have lowered interest rates to not just zero but less than zero in parts of the world.  They have created scores of trillions of new currency units which have poured oil on the financial waters.  That currency still exists and it’s going to come out, and it’s going to evidence itself in the form of retail inflation.  So far, it’s just been inflation in the financial markets.  They’ve created a bond super bubble.  They’ve created a stock market bubble.  They have created a real estate bubble in a number of places in the world.  So, this is going to be very, very ugly.  It’s hold on to your hat time.”

What is this going to look like to the man on the street? Casey says, “The country has been living way above its means.  The U.S. runs about a trillion dollar trade deficit with the rest of the world, but it’s a great deal for us.  The U.S. prints up dollars and we ship them dollars, and they send us Sonys and Mercedes and coffee and all sorts of things imported into this country, but that can’t go on forever.  So, what’s it going to look like?  It will be very high levels of inflation.  In 2007 to 2009, people lost their jobs.  When a society is living above its means, people like waiters and bartenders . . . they’re fired because people are going to have to do those things for themselves.  So, you are going to see lots of unemployment.  There could be a lot of social upsets in this country.”

What about gold and silver? Casey says, “A number of governments around the world, not the U.S. but the Russians and the Chinese, are buying a lot of gold.  Why?  Because it’s the only financial asset that is not simultaneously somebody else’s liability.  It doesn’t matter whether we have runaway inflation or catastrophic deflation, the gold is there.  It’s an actual asset unlike the paper governments’ print up.  There is no point in owning paper today because interest rates are so low.  Interest rates are below the level of actual inflation at this point.  People should buy gold and they should buy silver. . . . They’re going to both go up.  I’ll say this again, gold and silver are the only assets that are not simultaneously someone else’s liability.  So, there is going to be a panic into them at some point, and some point soon I think.”

Found our golden theme song Greg; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egN8CjfQkxc
    ” I get get knocked down ,
    But I get up again,
You never gonna keep me down.”
    REPEAT TWICE.
    Kissing the debt away,
    Kissing the debt away.
    He drinks a whisky drunk,
    He drinks a vodka drink,
    He drinks a lager drink.
He sings the songs that remind him
    Of the good times,
He sings the songs that remind him ,
    Of the better times.
    Oh Danny Boy
    Danny Boy
    Danny boy,
    I get knocked down ,
    But I get up again,
You never gonna keep me down,
    REPEAT TWICE.
    Kissing the debt away,
    Kissing the debt away.

Great interview. Mr. Casey lays out the facts of life in a very direct and straight-forward manner. I think the US is already in a cold civil war. He is correct about the need for the US to default. Europe, China, and Japan also have inflated their economies beyond repair. Eventually this insanity will end. Paper is paper. Gold and silver will remain as gold and silver.

Trump will be blamed when the econom blows up. Rather than give our young people a good financial education we teach them to worship false idols and to acquire material goods. Neither will result in happiness and pursuing those goals is a certain way to end up in poverty and unhappy. How to live within one’s means ought to be taught at every school from a young age! Is that mindset taught to young people? No.

As if civil war were not bad enough I don’t think it will be long before the US is involved with a hot war with North Korea. It is horrible that the US has sent our young people to foreign lands with no purpose other than to build an empire.

    • Russ McMeans

The Marxist socialists led by our college professors teaching is the source of this civil war. They started it and almost voted BERNIE in as POTUS. Imagine that scenario! Time to stockpile all types of useful commodities including bullets. Watch your back nowadays. Stupid zombies are everywhere.

  3. Frederick

Casey used the phrase “controlled demolition” Wonder if that was a reference to the 911 false flag attacks?

    • FC

When Building 7 collapsed it caused very little damage to surrounding buildings because of the controlled demolition and the Elites will do the same with the economy so there’s very little damage to their wealth.

      • Robert Lykens, Rabid Zionist

There was no “controlled demolition” of WTC 7. There were many unfought fires in Bldg 7, and also the perimeter columns from WTC 1 hit WTC 7, aiding in its collapse. At the following website there is a photo of WTC 7 with a 20-story tall hole in it.

        http://www.debunking911.com/pull.htm

An email from NYFD Chief Nigro:
“Regarding WTC 7: The long-awaited US Government NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) report on the collapse of WTC 7 is due to be published at the end of this year (although it has been delayed already a few times [ adding fuel to the conspiracy theorists fires!]). That report should explain the cause and mechanics of the collapse in great detail. Early on the afternoon of September 11th 2001, following the collapse of WTC 1 & 2, I feared a collapse of WTC 7 (as did many on my staff).

        The reasons are as follows:

1 – Although prior to that day high-rise structures had never collapsed, The collapse of WTC 1 & 2 showed that certain high-rise structures subjected to damage from impact and from fire will collapse.

        2. The collapse of WTC 1 damaged portions of the lower floors of WTC 7.

        3. WTC 7, we knew, was built on a small number of large columns providing an open Atrium on the lower levels.

        4. numerous fires on many floors of WTC 7 burned without sufficient water supply to attack them.

For these reasons I made the decision (without consulting the owner, the mayor or anyone else – as ranking fire officer, that decision was my responsibility) to clear a collapse zone surrounding the building and to stop all activity within that zone. Approximately three hours after that order was given, WTC 7 collapsed.

Conspiracy theories abound and I believe firmly that all of them are without merit.

        Regards, Dan Nigro
        Chief of Department FDNY (retired)”
        ***End of email***

Also at the above website, the author explains how the “controlled demolition” theory got started.

If you’re invested in the conspiracy theory that “the government planned and implemented 9/11”, it will take great courage for you to explore “debunking 911” because it explains in great detail what happened on that day, along with dozens of clear photos, quotes from knowledgeable people involved and transcripts of communications.
Do you have the courage to face these explanations?

        http://www.debunking911.com/index.html

        • Greg Hunter

          Robert,
This is total BS. The “One column” theory is totally unbelievable to the structural engineers in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6s0Gam54mk&feature=youtu.be Who did the video you posted? The building evenly went into free fall and that would not happen if just one column fell. Looks like controlled demolition to me.
          Greg

          • Robert Lykens, Rabid Zionist

Greg, I didn’t post a video. Why do you think I did?

In rebuttal to your video by architects and engineers, here’s another article:
            http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/design/a3524/4278874/

This article quotes NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) scientists explaining how uncontrolled fire DID cause WTC 7 collapse (thermal expansion of beams).

Greg, in my business I deal with the NIST on a regular basis. When they study something and reach a conclusion, you can take that conclusion to the bank.

As I said before, once you’re invested in a particular position it takes courage to approach it again with an open mind, but that’s what you need to do.

            • Robert Lykens, Rabid Zionist

When WTC 7 collapsed, it was NOT structurally sound. It was badly damaged and it was displaying a “bulge”.
Witnesses at the scene said it was obvious to them that the building was in danger of collapse.

              • Robert Lykens, Rabid Zionist

I refuse to respond to you in any meaningful way because you clearly are here only to insult. If you apologize for your insults I will include you in my conversation.

            • Greg Hunter

              OK Robert,
The people in the video I posted refute NIST and give their reasons. They are engineers and names and titles are posted in interviews on the vid. The video I see makes more sense to me. I did investigative reporting for two decades, but what do I know.
              Greg

              • Robert Lykens

You know investigative reporting. I know the NIST. That’s my business. I own two companies, both of which deal with the NIST, and one of which is ISO certified. That is a technical designation which is very difficult to achieve. I’m telling you that when the NIST makes a decision of any kind, it has been exhaustively researched by scientists. I can’t speak for the people in the video you posted but I am 100% able to speak for the NIST.
You always credit your readers with “street reporting”. Well, this is more street reporting. I don’t know much, but I know what I’m talking about in this case.

                • Greg Hunter

                  Robert,
You don’t think NIST could be pressured?? Lots of qualified engineers say NIST is Way off base here.
                  Greg

              • Robert Lykens

Think about this, Greg. The entire theory of “controlled demolition” rests on the assumption that the government is trying to hide evidence which was in building 7, which had CIA offices in it from what I understand. That makes absolutely zero sense. If the government was trying to hide some kind of evidence of wrongdoing or something else that I can’t even imagine, why knock down two skyscrapers, a third building, and kill 3000 people? Why didn’t they just take the evidence out of building 7? But that’s what the “truthers” will tell you.

                • Greg Hunter

                  Robert,
I don’t know but you really don’t either and we never had a real criminal investigation of the World Trade Center Bombings. The government took all the beams at put them in a land fill (Fresh Kills I think it is called) and made the area off limits. They destroyed a crime scene without investigating the crime that murdered 3,000 people. Don’t you find that odd? I do. The government version of the story does not pass the smell test. Did you watch the video I posted from beginning to end?

        • FC

You are extremely gullible Robert to believe that crap, I’ve been in the building industry for 38 years and I know exactly what a controlled demolish looks likes and what a structural steel building can withstand.

          • Robert Lykens

I may be gullible but I’m no conspiracy theorist. I need more facts to make my mind up than what I see on the internet.
OK, since you’ve been in the building business for so long, tell me this: what was the “bulge” in building 7? Take a look at the pictures that are on the link that I posted above. Look at those pictures and tell me that building 7 was structurally sound before it came down.

          • Robert Lykens, Rabid Zionist

Try to imagine how little your opinion means to me.

        • Tin foil hat

          Robert Lykens,
The building in the photo with a 20-story tall hole in it is not Building #7; that is the Millennium Hotel.

          https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Millenium_Hilton

Numerous SMALL fires on many floors did burn in Building # 7 without sufficient water supply to extinguish them. However, after three hours, those fires stayed SMALL and the building was never close to anything like a towering inferno.

      • Deanna Johnston Clark

Is that the “Do not touch the oil and water” instruction to the angel n Revelation?

  4. Mr Mister

The USD is backed up by the Petro-Dollar and the Pentagon. One smart bomb has the equivalent power of a metric tonne of gold. If the East thinks they can use gold to take down the USD; the Pentagon will be sent in to kneecap their competitors. Catherine Austin-Fitts mentioned that the Anglo-American Empire controls the satellites and sea lanes. The world reserve currency only goes to the victor(s) of a hot war.

    • Mohammad

Stupidity is fascinating and especially when it is associated with amnesia.

ROME SAID EXACTLY THAT THOUSANDS YEARS AGO….

      Mohammad

      • Frederick

Mohammad There sure seems to be a lot of that going around lately

    • FC

History has shown that to be true but now we live in a world with nuclear bombs in briefcases, we will all be losers in the next hot war.

Today’s modern day Victor(s) will be last country(s) standing once every other nation has fallen on their own economic sword.

    • Paul ...

Is this why I’m hearing Trump’s people say: “To secure the peace we are going to nuclear war”??? … we didn’t vote for Hillary because we wanted to prevent nuclear war!! … perhaps Trump figures Japan and South Korea will be so grateful to the US (for nuking North Korea) that they will tear-up those Treasury Notes their holding … and Trump will be able to claim a reduction in our debt … and if China comes to North Korea’s rescue he can declare their Treasury Notes null and void!! … as Trump supposedly twitted “You can solve a lot of problems by pressing the nuke button”… the human race is like a herd of cows … being lead to slaughter … to feed “some very alien” rulers!!

      • Paul ...

As I think about the seemingly crazy things happening in the world … I’m becoming more and more convinced that Trump and Putin have made “more” then a secret deal to take out the drug pushers and pedophiles of the world … I think they have both agreed to “Nuke” all the maniacs with “big egos” creating trouble in the world … Trump taking care of that ego-maniac in SE Asia (North Korea)) … and Putin taking care of the ego-maniacs in the Middle East (Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Israel) … with Trump and Putin working together to get rid the world of the ego-maniacs in our world … we may “yet get” that promised 1000 years of peace humanity so deserves!!
        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jk4AS1auJIk

        • Paul ...

Those who love Israel should do some “serious thinking” about the man now leading the Israeli nation to nuclear war with Russia!!
Remember if Israel “provokes” a nuclear war (by say sending weapons convoys to Russia’s enemies in the Ukraine, bombing its allies, etc.) then the United States has “no obligation” to defend Israel from a “counterattack”… the US is only obligated to defend Israel against an “unprovoked attack” …

          • Mohammad

            Paul,

With full due respect you got it backwards.
Israel will collide the world’s superpowers and it will emerge as the only superpower on their ashes.
Israel is now surrounded by the state of art multiple rings of shields that will fry any incoming missiles in the air.

They will do that after clearing their surrounding short range danger that is tough to beat with current technology.

            Mohammad

  5. Paul ...

Doug says “high inflation” is on the cards and will lead to higher gold prices … the high inflation very likely means more money printing … and more money printing means a weaker dollar … and a weaker dollar will mean a higher gold price … “but” the Chinese will have to weaken their currency to compete with a weaker dollar … in response Trump will likely then impose tariffs on China … so the currency war with China will likely lead to a trade war (and perhaps even real war which is “highly inflationary”) … the rich Chinese who can get their money out of China are doing so now and investing it in real estate around the world … while the common Chinese people who can’t get their money out of China are buying physical gold coins … this is positive for gold … the only “fly in the ointment short term” is that the Fed is now raising interest rates which will strengthen the dollar and crash the bond market (where naked shorting bonds can bring in some cash to the banksters) … but in the longer run … Trump needs “a weaker dollar” to sell more goods abroad … so Trump will have to go after the Fed by appointing people to the Fed who will do his bidding (weakening the US dollar) … the gold market is “still waiting in anticipation” for Trump to take positive action to weaken the dollar before it reacts strongly upward … Trump will begin to take more and more control at the Fed appointing his people over the coming year and into 2018 … eventually he will succeed in changing Fed policy … moving the direction of the US dollar downward and the gold price upward!!

    • Russ McMeans

I prefer a stronger dollar so I can afford to eat nice food. It’s smart to own PM’s, but a strong dollar is beneficial too.

      • Tin foil hat

        Russ McMeans,
For the vision of America to regain its former role of “producer extraordinaire”, its national currency must be on par with other nations in terms of competitive labor costs; so the dollar must weaken.
Is this likely to happen? As long as the ESF or NY Fed’s role in the dollar system is obfuscated with that tired populist notion of “We’re being screwed by foreigners.”, the dollar will remain strong and Trump will just be another “same old, same old’.

  6. Scott Miller

Nothing new except the book. However, Doug got really old. That hurricane he talked about again has been his metaphor for many years.

Many more people should feel scammed and many won’t admit it. Casey has been saying this since the Donahue show. Phil Donahue before Oprah making him a very long Fraud artist. He used to be entertaining.

I wonder why Hunter doesnt ask harder questions. Why not bring up their past predictions and time frames? Why not call them out?

So many of these interviews are repetitive. Hunter can’t offend them or he needs to find new guys to predict.

    Scott

    • Teeter

100% correct that 100% of the guests predictions are WRONG. I do thou enjoy listening to others opinions, not closing the door to possible outcomes is one way to prepare for whatever comes. We do know what we don’t know what, when, or how its going to change, but change is coming.

      • Scott Miller

See Jerry down below. 8 years and counting.

        Scott

    • OutLookingIn

Scott, the rabbit hole goes deep.

Doug Casey has not owned Casey Research for a number of years, but still holds stock in his former company.
Stansberry Research (formerly Porter Stansberry and Associates) purchased controlling interest of Casey Research, and is now part that organization under the umbrella of Agora Fianancial founded by Bill Bonner.

Porter Stansberry is a convicted felon after being found guilty of defrauding investors and lost his appeal to the supreme court. At the time Pirate Investors LLC a subsidiary of Agora Financial was at the center of the fraud.
The more you dig, the deeper and darker the rabbit hole becomes, as one of Doug Casey’s classmates at Georgetown University was none other than Bill Clinton!
The “Deep State” and it’s tentacles run throughout the depth and breadth of society.

      http://www.incakolanews.blogspot.ca/2010/11/marin-katusas-scams-and-other-casey.html

    • Jerry

      Scott Miller.
If you can you explain to me how we can pay for 125 trillion dollars in unfunded liabilities using 3.5 trillion dollars in tax revenue, I will be more than happy to buy whatever it is you’re selling? http://www.usdebtclock.org/
Your normalcy bias with nothing to back it up is getting a bit tiring. If you know something spill it. My bet is you can’t answer the question, because you don’t know anything other than “nothing has happened”………..at least to you……yet. I personally have lost over 30% of my business over the past eight years and watched many businesses shutter their doors. If it wasn’t for the fact that I own 100% of my assets I would be one of them. Whether you want to admit it or not, the fact that with less than 1% GDP our entire economy is in a death spiral. Once the money printing stops, all of the pain I have felt will come to even those that are supported by the government, which might be you.

      • Scott Miller

        That’s easy. Just print.

I don’t live in the USA. Haven’t for quite a number of years.

The real issue here is thinking that what sustained us won’t work. So the normalcy bias you wrote about is apropo for people on here who believe it must end sooner or later, and most think sooner. You are an example bringing up your 30% loss over an 8 year run. With the same unfounded liabilities every one of those years and yet you want to believe it must come to an end right around the corner.

If 8 more years pass by, will you still hold the assumption it must come to an end soon?

        Scott

    • JC the legal illegal

I’ve heard the same from many economists and religious folk. I just stopped believing them. However, to talk about the silver lining on the cloud one has to always be prepared and have alternate plans and alternate stashes of money around the world for any eventuality. Also have two passports if you can.

Nothimg new here Greg. ‘Selling another book, you’re on a streak. He didn’t seem to know about the credit freezing to cause empty store shelves after 3 days…. From the next couple weeks and after the 15th back to the next few years….. . eventually someone will be right. Yeah, the Clintons are criminals- where are the charges? The news broke of proof of a Trump advisor’s ties to Russia and still not a peep about Hillary and the uranium. So who’s teally in charge?

    • Farmer Jim, Indiana

Perception only “trumps” (ha) reality for so long. I’ve lived long enough to see it a couple times. The “Golden age of Farming” from mid 70’s to the 80’s when we had a tornado of a house cleaning due to lower commodity prices and high interest rates. Then came the tech wreck in 2001 another house cleaning that buried a lot of people and portfolios. Oh I forgot the downturn in 07. The gloom and doomers will ultimately see some of their predictions come true when strategy to avoid economic demise fails. Ultimately it may simply be a one too many snowflakes on the roof thing. No one with real insight wants to contemplate what an economic implosion could do to our country and our people. I’m glad Trump is here to help lead us rise from the ashes if it happens on his watch. At no time in our history has government colored so far outside the lines to buy votes and keep things rolling along as now. Stay vigilant as we are overdue for some real difficulty of some kind. The tighter the spring the greater the mess when it breaks!

  8. Jerry

    Greg,
Thanks for having Doug Casey on. I always enjoy his insights. I do believe we have a “bubble” that has been created by the central banks, but its not a traditional bubble. Its a “double bubble”. Underneath the surface of the debt based fiat dollar bubble the central banks have created another bubble using gold backed Yuan and SDR reserve currency as a replacement. Evidence of that can be seen from this report. https://global.handelsblatt.com/politics/merkel-phones-china-before-trump-trip-728850
Angela Merkel is an errand boy for the BRICS alliance. I have no doubt that with Germany joining AIIB, the EU coming unraveled, and Frankfort being set up as the main Yuan trading hub in Europe she was delivering a message from President Xi to President Trump laying out the pecking order of the coming reset. Unfortunately with Congress tying his hands Trump’s part in this coming tragedy will be to play the role of the patsy.

    • Jerry

Take another look at this picture.
      http://thebricspost.com/saudi-king-signs-multi-billion-dollar-trade-deals-with-china/#.WNJi7Hx1ofh
Why do you think the Saudi’s are signing a deal with the Chinese right now? What do they know that we don’t? Its no big deal………right? Really? Does the word petrodollar mean anything to you? Our currency is pegged to their oil as a reserve currency. If they refuse to take dollars for trade, its over folks.

      • Mark Maples

US oil production has been running full steam ahead for 4 months. The Russians and Saudis are being brought to their knees Jerry.. As I stated on the previous thread Saudis only have 116 billon in treasuries. That ranks 13th. It would barely cause a ripple if they dumped. Now Japan and China could move the needle as both hold over a trillion

        • Macray

“As I stated on the previous thread Saudis only have 116 billion in treasuries”.
          Mark
You may be correct regarding the 116 billion, but unless I audit it myself or have confidence in where the number is coming from I am very skeptical. And I do not have confidence in this number.
The Saudi’s have been selling a tremendous amount of oil to the US and the world over the last 40 plus years and accepting US dollars as payment. With those US dollars they turned around and secretly purchased US Treasuries. It wasn’t until last year, that the Treasury Department under Mr. O’s administration released the Saudi’s holdings. I do not trust Mr. Lew, the US Treasury Secretary at that time along with his boss to properly disclose the actual Saudi holdings.

The Treasury Department released a breakdown of Saudi Arabia’s holdings of U.S. debt, after keeping the figures secret for more than four decades.
          https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-05-16/u-s-discloses-saudi-arabia-s-treasuries-holdings-for-first-time

          • Macray

And yes, they have also purchased a tremendous amount of US equities.

I cannot disprove a negative. This is a recurring issue I notice with posters who seem to desire an apocalyptic event. If you want to believe that the Saudis can collapse our economy whenever they desire even though all credible data suggests otherwise that is your choice..

Hoping against hope that Trump’s Korea gambit “is just his way of negotiating with China and Japan to destroy some of our Treasury debt! … I do not want to believe Trump is just another “Deep State” mole like Hillary … so I just keep saying to myself … this all has to be just part of Trump’s “negotiating” style!!!

I just saw a home made video of Paris with the barricades and fighting. Very sad…

I hope we can avoid such violence. Many Americans are already living hand to mouth and helping relatives. I’m not sure the inflation will be as bad with local and American goods. Imports are going to skyrocket, no doubt. Perhaps cottage work like sewing and baking will come back. One neighborhood has lots of chickens already…the older well to do in big old houses love keeping them…they are cash poor like many older home owners. They can take in renters as well.
Mr. Casey underestimates the resourcefulness of his countrymen and women. My Granddaddy passed food out the back of his Piggly Wiggly to black families. I’m beginning to realize what a good family I come from!!! Hope they are looking down and praying for us all.
The hardest will be for people who have borrowed on their house for frivolous vacations and new cars….and those with large card debts. The poor of north Mississippi will just go on as usual…they won’t even notice, like they did in 1932.

    • Tin foil hat

      DJC,
I concur the poor will just go on as usual. The ones with million dollar stock portfolio in their 401K and ETrade accounts will likely have problems.

    • Russ McMeans

Great post Deanna. The good old days indeed and our American resourcefulness. But I’m about to write a check for $1200 for 6 months of property taxes. What happens when I need that money to buy expensive food and gasoline? We own our home outright, but the state can seize it. Upon non payment of taxes. And since we’re a sanctuary state and more money will be required to educate the little immigrant children, I can see where this movie ends. And I decided not to tell my wife. Why spoil her fantasy?. When Calitopia goes down, I’m exiting to AZ with or without her. And there’ll be no more houses tied to high property taxes.
      I’m done with real estate.

      • Russ McMeans

On a lighter note: amerika is loaded to the gills with rv’s and trailers to live in. The Gypsies know how to play the game. I’m in too.

      • Tin foil hat

        Russ McMeans,
$1200 is cheap, dirt cheap, for 6 months of property taxes.

Now on top of all the other doom and gloom we’re gonna have a civil war ? I hope not. The southerners have studied Pickets charge well enough so that they wont make that mistake a second time. Here in the north, we better get our act together. I expect the guest next week to talk about the impending apocalypse and so Armageddon will become a much more common word in the American Lexicon. Credit Greg Hunter’s USAWatchdog.com for the mass hysteria coming to a neighborhood near you.

  11. Robert Lykens, Rabid Zionist

The Navy SEAL raid in Yemen against al Qaeda produced intelligence that the islamic terrorists have learned how to produce iPad-battery bombs which are capable of destroying passenger jets. This has led to a ban on iPads and other devices on certain flights.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4337982/Laptop-ban-based-intelligence-ISIS-plot.html

This vital intelligence would have remained hidden, unknown, without the American military action in Yemen. The first anyone would have known about it would have been a passenger jet blowing up, killing hundreds of innocent people – probably in the sky over New York, DC or LA. Maybe multiple jets at once or within minutes of each other – al Qaeda’s trademark attack.
How many hundreds of lives were saved because the US military carries out missions in other countries?

    • Roger D

US government ‘intelligence’? Oh like Iraq’s WMDs which the US military could not find. Like the Whopper of Fake News, the government story of 9/11?

What blood-thirsty NeoCons call ‘intelligence’, God calls ‘deceit’.

      • Robert Lykens, Rabid Zionist

WMDs were in Iraq. There’s plenty of evidence which of course never made it onto NBC Nightly News and the rest.
If you have the courage, Google “evidence for WMDs in Iraq”.

        • Mark Maples

So what? Iraq was never a threat to the sovereignty of the United State. As a matter of fact, Saddam was secular, and for over a decade our pit bull that we turned loose in our proxy war with Iran (1980-1988) I would argue if he was still there with our backing a lot of this chaos in the Middle East wouldn’t be happening now

        • Winston Smith

I’ve come to the conclusion you’re either a Sock Puppet or a paid troll shilling for the TPTB why don’t you take all this over to Huffington Post where I’m sure they’ll appreciate your expert opinions

    • Bob

“How many hundreds of lives were saved because the US military carries out missions in other countries?”

Loads. The toothpaste ban really saved us.

      • Robert Lykens, Rabid Zionist

Diminishing the many covert Special Forces missions carried out by brave US soldiers by sarcastically reducing them to a “toothpaste ban” is cowardly because you’d rather stick to your uneducated conspiracy theory mindset than admit that the US military knows more about what happens on the ground than you do.
It takes courage to admit you’re wrong.

        • Bob

You pointed out the mission that got iPads banned. Do you know which Special Forces mission got toothpaste banned?

There’s so much at the supermarket I think the whole place could go up. I don’t feel safe shopping anymore.

        • Bob

I finally summoned the courage and googled “evidence of WMDs in Iraq”.
The main evidence on the first page of results was this:
          https://www.usnews.com/opinion/articles/2014/10/16/new-york-times-reports-wmd-found-in-iraq

Remember Wesley Clark’s list of 7 countries? Did they all have WMDs? Why didn’t they invade Saudi Arabia too? Bin Laden came from there, as did many of the alleged hijackers. Surely a cause for suspicion?
NO, instead destroy Iraq because they had a small stockpile of 25 year old mustard gas shells.
          Not following your argument really.

          • Checkmate

Your doing it wrong… The term “WMD’s” is political code for “Poppy Fields” .

Just google “Guarding Poppy Fields” ..

but make sure to ignore the facts that Heroin use has tripled here because of a mysterious flood of drugs into our country.

..and don’t worry about any photos you see of troops actually loading tons of it onto trucks and helicopters.. That’s just our way of defending freedom from dangerous terrorists! Courtesy of 9/11 & Israel.

      • Checkmate

So hundreds of US lives were saved by illegally invading Iraq for no real reason at all but to disguise a terrorist attack that killed over 200,000 innocent people? Why? Because innocent men, women and children slaughtered under the guise of defending freedom was believable to simple minded morons?

So then, god forbid, you ever become the victim of a home invasion were your whole family is killed. The terrorists can just say… “we were defending freedom” and go free. Should the rest of us be sure to thank them for their service too? “Oh yeah, hey.. thanks for attacking innocent people in their own homes and killing them for no reason at all” You truly saved us from the danger of those terrorists minding their own business! lol.

Maybe you should start growing some poppy fields to assure were all saved quicker…

Yeah, but the flood of drugs into our country has been profitable for our war criminals who kill those people over there with guns and bombs and then our people with oxycotin and heroin…

Bush, Rice, Rumsfeld & Cheney have never been richer …

  12. David John Williams

I wish that this had been a longer interview. I agree with Casey about the entrenched deep state and his comparison of organizations like the CIA to the praetorian guard. The notion that one man, working from within the swamp, could drain the swamp seems a bit silly; especially since he’s surrounding himself with swamp creatures. What’s happening with criminal Clinton…nothing. What’s happening in Syria…same old, same old. If Trump was sincerely independent of the deep state it would behoove him to disclose the true nature of the financial predicament facing the US and the world.
On another note, all this talk of market collapse and no discussion of a possible ‘melt-up’… it’s happened in the past. The world is awash in cash and the bond markets are in big trouble..might all that cash go into US equities? Might we not see 40 000 + Dow?

Thanks Greg. My strategy is to hope that this past election cycle was a major event in the “civil” war. I don’t expect the deep state or power elite to just accept the outcome, but I do expect the next few years to show improvement in the economy.

We’ll see how the AHCA goes and whether or not Republicans in congress actually want to move forward. Some really like the status quo. The process of allowing Trump to fill his cabinet and political appointments is very illuminating as to whose side members are on. Some members of the House and Senate really need to lose their primary elections in the next cycle.

Casey is an opportunist who profits off of other’s misfortune. He is not out to help you… Caveat Emptor.

        • Greg Hunter

          Reality Check,
I don’t agree with your assessment and Casey probably has all the money he needs. He’s warring people and there really is nothing in it for him to tell people to cover their behinds. He is just putting himself out there and accepts that some will give him grief.
          Greg

    • Macray

      Flattop
Regarding your first question, has our govt started buying gold??

I doubt very seriously that the Don has instructed the gov to start buying gold. If he did, I would suspect Gold to easily be at new all time highs at the moment.
Whether or not the President was to use the Working Group on Financial Markets (the Plunge Protection Team) or the Exchange Stabilization Fund to actually purchase gold for the country, he would do so by instructing his Secretary of the Treasurer Steven Mnuchin to carry out such wishes.
As you already know, Secretary Mnuchin came from the firm of Goldman Sachs. There would be zero chance, repeat zero chance that his former firm would not be tipped off and purchasing every Gold ounce available in the world markets. And there would also be 100% probability, repeat 100% probability that GS would be real-time instructing their clients both privately and publicly to short Gold futures.
Oh, one more no brainier, all other Banks, both nationally and internationally would be doing the same! Don’t think for a second they wouldn’t know.

    • Tin foil hat

      Flattop,
Trump’s administration can only buy gold in secret. If the rest of the world realized US government is stockpiling gold, it will be game over for the U.S. Treasuries.

HMMM!, Good one. I do disagree with one aspect about having at least a couple weeks of food. It better be about a year.
I wish he would have extended more on the defaulting of the debt. There are so many levels of debt. Is he talking all debt? To other countries, Fed, derivatives, private loans, on and on? How deep do you go? That would mean banks close. It is start over completely time. Basically WROL situation. (Which I have thought about) Truly horrific conditions, but has happened before. If I am off base here, please let me know.
As to G&S, I do believe what he says is going to happen, will, but remember you can’t eat it and will be a time you will be sitting on it.

    • Roger D

Please heed John’s advice about emergency food. For the cost of just ¼ oz. of gold today you can go to Costco or Sam’s Club and purchase 415 lbs. of rice and 225 lbs. of black beans.

While Casey is spot on about a lot of things, he is a globalist. These people just don’t get it. More on that in a minute.

Investors like him are in the right place or/at the right time and have done their diligence. I am not saying that he is not a savvy guy and learned via the school of hard knocks…but in most scenarios, you don’t amass a pile of money easily unless you are unscrupulous, have unscrupulous connections or are in politics. Our leaders are perfect examples of the latter.

Globalists exploit everything in order to make money. Wars are at the top of the list. Exploitation of nations, their labor and politicians if you have capital or power is another. Ability to control food supply. Unlimited abuse of natural resources and local currencies. I could go on but most of you understand. All in the name of making these places more habitable for the locals. BS. More habitable for globalists.

Globalism is simply the biggest waste of the earths vital resources known to mankind.

BTW, I looked a Casey’s Argentina deal when it was getting off the ground about a decade ago. La Estancia de Cafayate. Salta, Argentina. At that time, (once they had salted the water and had adequate capital/investors) they were looking for people to help build and service the community. (Medical, infrastructure development, entrepreneurial, etc.) There marketing was really good and it is a beautiful place. They need “go-getters”. People with something to offer the community to make it self-sufficient should collapse occur. (At least that is the way I read it.) That would have been our only way into a community like that. (Our skills that is) Only a few really have the money to make something like that happen (a fairytale like in heaven on earth)…even at favorable currency exchange rates.

Alas, we decided not to “apply” for a chance to serve the globalists in Argentina for the fairytale life. We are Americans living ours in Montana. Most-likely serving the same kind of people! lol! Whatever, at least we know it and are using it to our advantage for survival in the future.

So in the meantime, we have set up our own little community of services that we will need in the future. We have aligned ourselves with those like us. We grow our own food or can source it near by. We are doing the best we can with acquiring sustainable energy and fuels. We will have exactly what we are supposed to if IT happens. Until then we move ahead with good intentions. Hope you all are doing the same.

I hope Doug is home in Argentina when it blows. Chances are he’ll have inside info and be sipping a nice Malbec at the 19th hole.

Just remember folks, no one is untouchable when IT happens. I believe God will exempt no one from the festivities.

Mr. Casey is ” Spot On “. Every word from his mouth { with the exception of his bragging about his enterprise in Argentina } is accurate. I cannot understand how anyone on their right mind would establish an Enclave for Rich Guys in the center of Argentina….surrounded by impoverished people who will eventually overwhelm the ” Rich Gringos “. Thanks for having this man on your show. He is living in a ” Pre Venezuela “.

Casey to the Argentina Army: “Resources? What Resources?!? We don’t have any resources here!”

Have to agree. When I was in Hawaii I saw local Hawaiians pick non-Hawaiian
second/third homes that are mostly unoccupied to break into and burglarize.
Once that level is complete they will move on to non-Hawaiian occupied homes.
The “have nots” will go after anyone who has anything if things get worse.
I do not follow Casey as he was so wrong so many times in the past.
What he spoke of today was no new news in the true news world. There
could be some people with some true news out there that is new news . . . . probably
more in “special ops” who are patriots on the inside ????
I enjoy this site and it takes a lot of work and funding. So, thank you Greg. We need some new people imo.

  26. Mohammad

Your guest asked a question: “What are we doing in Syria?”

    Well..

Tillerson Says U.S. To Set Up Safety Zones, ‘Matter Of Time’ Before IS Leader Killed

    http://www.rferl.org/a/tillerson-islamic-state-safety-zones/28384636.html

“Safe Zones” has been denied by Obama’s admin because it entails full intervention in Syria, since those zones are not really for safety of civilians but rather as a step to topple Assad.

Now under Trump’s admin it seems a green light is given to it especially after the meeting with the Saudi price Bin Salman.

So with the blessing of ISIS sponsors we are establishing a “safe zones” on Syrian land with the Kurds to fight ISIS…Hmmmm……

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/michael-hughes/saudis-uae-predictably-ba_b_14486264.html

“Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates voiced support for President Donald Trump’s idea to establish safe zones in Syria, which comes as no surprise given it would boost Sunni extremists who want to topple President Bashar Assad’s secular regime. ”

    Worse off …

Israel is bombing the Syrian army that is fighting ISIS in Palmyra saving their day :

    http://www.cnn.com/2017/03/17/middleeast/israel-jets-syria-strikes/

    Hmmmmm….

Scratching my head trying to piece the puzzle out, the only picture I am coming up with is the repeat of IRAQ’s toppling of Saddam, so when the terrorists could not topple the secular regime in Syria we brought the heavy lifting to do what Saudi Arabia pleases….

Long way to answer your guest….

I no longer know what to believe… Back in 2009 I thought that the world was ending but here I am in 2017 having done pretty well. Those who uncoupled from the markets in 2008 / 2009 took real losses. We stayed with stocks, real property, some cash and made a small fortune. I didn’t listen to a whole bunch of financial experts screaming to get out, just stayed in and kept adding. I don’t think anyone knows when the lid will blow off of this synthetic thing we call an economy and I’m not betting that it happens this year or next… The irrationality of the market will outlast any of our abilities to bet against it… Or something like that… Cheers…

Greg, I have to disagree with Mr. Casey when he says we have no business in Syria. Only a few years ago he would have been correct, but as we know Hussein Obama is who took the US there and made such a mess of the situation that we couldn’t even follow which terrorist group we were arming and which we were fighting from day to day.
Now we have to clean the mess up. Maybe the one bright spot in the whole cesspool is that we have ISIS, al Qaeda, Hizballah and Iran in one spot and can inflict serious harm – if we have the will.

Am wondering how many other commenters agree that ‘we’ should be inflicting serious harm on (choose your favorite CIA named ‘group). The US is killing a lot of people in sovereign nations all over the world and has been for a very long time – you want us to kill even more? That will fix our world???

I truly hope you are a government worker/banker bitch boy/minion with no conscience, because, if not, the future looks really really bad. One can help others overcome ignorance, brainwashing, and lies, with facts, common sense, and logic, but stupid cannot be fixed. Mr. Lykens : respectfully suggest you hurry down to the local ‘recruiting center’ and enlist to be a grunt so you can go to another country and ‘inflict some harm’ there yourself.

      • Greg Hunter

        Alohajim,
I guess you did not see what just happened in London.

    GREG:
Would it be possible for the Trump administration to cause a collapse of the stock/bond market and catch the deep state and the globalists with their pants downs??

    • Greg Hunter

      Bill,
In a word, YES. If Trump is in charge (and he is) the Deep State is going to lose big time.
      Greg

      • Mohammad

With 5 from GS in the WH????

        Mohammad

        • Greg Hunter

          Mohammad,
Hillary was the “Goldman” candidate and the candidate of Wall Street not Trump.
          Greg

        • Old Dog

          Indeed, Mohammad.

          1) Goldman Sachs partner Steven Mnuchin, Treasury Dept.
          2) GS president and COO Gary Cohn, Council of Economic
          Advisors
          5) Jay Clayton, former law firm had GS connections. FCC
          4) Steve Bannon, WH Chief Strategist, who also has
worked for a time at GS
          5) Goldman Sachs partner, Dina Powell, Deputy National
          Security Adviser for Strategy

Anthony Scaramucci considered for a role as a senior WH advisor, who lost out due to an ethics conflict, also has Goldman Sachs connections.

An excellent report on “Government Sachs” by James Corbett: http://www.corbettreport.com/meet-goldman-sachs-the-vampire-squid/

          • Old Dog

            Error on my part:
Jay Clayton was appointed to the SEC (Securities & Exchange Commission).

BTW, Mr. Clayton’s wife just happens to work at Goldman Sachs. But don’t worry! Mr. Clayton “promises” he will not show “favoritism to anyone.”

Today it was revealed that Obama did “WIRETAP” Trump. This is a clear violation of Trumps privacy rights. Obama and the Democrats will try to deny it, but Donald Trump was right. The weasels Comey and Rodgers never let on to what they probably knew, on Monday. Time to fire both Democrat operatives for either dishonesty or incompetence.

    • Robert G

Peter.. your wrong. He said there was no evidence of Obama wire tapping Trump. Fake news. He said there was nothing illegal or criminal. Nunes was wrong going to the white house which is under investigation, that may even have been illegal . He has lost all credibility. Obviously need an independent investigation now.

      • Greg Hunter

        Robert G,
“He said there was nothing illegal or criminal.” Total BS. The release if the information was a felony. The unmasking of the names (Flynn) is also a felony. Now, there is information coming out that will prove the Obama Administration and maybe even the former President him=self is involved in illegal surveillance and distribution of classified data of an incoming President. The Russia story of collusion is a ruse and James Clapper former head of the DNI said so three weeks ago on Meet the Press. This make Watergate look like squirt gun fight. Obama is in deep trouble and so is James Comey.
        Greg

        • Robert G

Greg…We are just getting started. Watergate took 2 years. Nunes has info about incidental surveillance. http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/what-does-it-mean-trump-may-have-been-incidentally-surveilled-n737366 Big difference than Flynn.

          • Greg Hunter

            Robert G.
This is a huge story!!!! Obama is involved along with many of his Administration.
            Greg

        • Checkmate

Releasing information about a crime is not a felony. Words being twisted to justify criminal acts doesn’t make it so. It’s akin to saying “leaking classified information about a murder is a felony”

Were allowing it to become normal practice for political language to be used by common criminals to hide their crimes behind terms like “classified information.”

Knowingly keeping or hiding information about a crime is a crime.

Okay, so i am not pushing my faith on anyone but I happen to be LDS. These two quotes by Joseph Smith are amazingly close to what was said in this interview. Whether you believe Joseph Smith was a prophet or not, perhaps he could have been gifted with some fore-sight because these two quotes sure are telling. He even mentioned Chicago, which at the time was a small town but would in our day become a huge city. Anyway, please take this as you will and take no offense but these quotes are interesting to say the least. Here they are copied here…………
    ________________________________________________________

Second Great Rebellion or Chicago Quote – A. Milton Musser papers, LDS Church Archives.

This was a letter from Nephi Packard to A. Milton Musser on July 24, 1896:

“…Prophet Joseph said that the next great (U.S. civil) war after the war of the rebellion (the Civil War of the 1860′s between the North and the South) would commence in a little town now called Chicago but at that time it would have grown to be a very large city. And another brother told me that the Prophet said that the cause of the next great trouble of the United States would be the depreciation of the currency of the United States. I believe I have given you all the facts in as short and concise manner as possible.”

    And recorded by Mosiah Hancock:

“There will be two great political parties in this country. One will be called the Republican, and the other the Democrat party. These two parties will go to war and out of these two parties will spring another party which will be the Independent American Party. The United States will spend her strength and means warring in foreign lands until other nations will say, “Let’s divide up the lands of the United States,” then the people of the U.S. will unite and swear by the blood of their fore-fathers, that the land shall not be divided. Then the country will go to war, and they will fight until one half of the U.S. army will give up, and the rest will continue to struggle. They will keep on until they are very ragged and discouraged, and almost ready to give up—when the boys from the mountains will rush forth in time to save the American Army from defeat and ruin. And they will say, “Brethren, we are glad you have come; give us men, henceforth, who can talk with God.” Then you will have friends, but you will save the country when its liberty hangs by a hair, as it were.” – Autobiography of Mosiah Hancock

Greg you might not know this ,but Tsar Nicholas of Russia saved the union during the us civil war.The London and Paris governments where controlled by the Rothschild’s during the civil war.He wanted France and Britain to intervene on the side of the confederates in 1863.Lincoln wrote to the Russian Tsar, begging for support. The Russian sent there navy ships to us ports, also told Britain and France and the Rothschild’s to keep out of North America. How things have changed since 1865.Conspiracy talks about a Rothschild plot to assassinate Lincoln ?

  43. Artable

    Greg,
As usual, great interview. Speaking of great interviews, your interview on the Hagmann & Hagmann report was SUPERB! On the FBI “Russian” investigation which has been artificially whipped up into a national security issue, why has there been no FBI examination of the DNC servers that were supposedly hacked by the Russians; the initial source of “leaks” to WikiLeaks? We know the answer, but it’s an important point.

    Happy Regards,

Hi greg, A question off topic. Have you looked at the debt clock lately , Well I watch it all the time and for the last few weeks all the debt is going down. Can you explain this? there is no way we can be paying this off, right. Even silver and gold has gone backwards .

Greg, these aren’t even all the reports. If you look at the contents of the reports, they are highly technical and indicate an advanced level of understanding which is missing from the video you posted – which I did watch in its entirety, all 47 minutes. There are a lot of assumptions and generalized statements in it which you WILL NOT find in the NIST reports.

      Robert,
I understand and many engineers disagree with these findings. Thank you for posting this though.

Here are the NIST’s findings of how WTC 7 collapsed. You have to go to the bottom of the page and click “local download”, then scroll down to pg 323 of the report.

You asked me if I watched your video. I will ask you if you read this section of the report.

I am going to say that it was IMPOSSIBLE that this report was produced as a result of “pressure”.

Look at the page numbers on the report itself to find pg 323.

Here, I’ll say it in a nicer way……” Russia and Saudi-Arabia have been enemies for decades. The Russians have never forgiven Saudi Arabia ( or the U.S.) for supporting the Afghan Mujahedeen that drove the Soviet Army out of Afghanistan and they haven’t forgiven the Saudis for supporting multiple Chechen Rebellions” (My Comment here, Russia had problems with their peaceful Muslims terrorist long before we had problems with those a**wipes.) FROM “THE CRUX” “The Petro Dollars Is On Thin Ice.” From Nick Giambruno Senior Editor International Man You were in diapers in 1980. Ronald Reagan ( Nancy use to call him Ronny baby) Russia know where their Muslim terrorists were coming from. Ronny had the American people thinking that it was a land grab. Get your history right boy, America went into Afghanistan too because that’s where we thought the Muslim terrorists were coming from. Thous, Ronald Reagan should be dug up and have a few bullets put his dried up old brain of his.

You know what, Greg, our disagreement over 9/11 is completely inconsequential. The overriding truth is that you are my brother in Christ.
As a guest in your home (USAW) I submit to your opinions. I gain far too much insight and knowledge from you and your website to jeopardize my welcome here.
I will withhold my opinions on 9/11 in your home out of respect for you, my brother and host.

No… I’m pretty sure that won’t happen! Big Corporations have successfully dumbed America down to it’s very core. Maybe back in the 60s & 70s, when people stood up for everything with the fire to fight and would even go as far as chaining themselves to trees, and such.

We’ve become a nation of people who actually believe 2 planes w/ jet fuel brought down 3 buildings, melted hundreds of cars within a 10 block radius, destroyed a quarter of the city and kept burning for over a 100 days. While 1 plane w/ jet fuel barely damaged a corner of the pentagon, causing a 22 foot perfectly round hole on impact before completely disintegrating.

And despite the fact 9 of the alleged hijackers turned out to be alive and innocent, people still believe Muslims did it, not Israel, who has a long history of doing such things just to frame Muslims.

And now we have a President, who hasn’t even read the Constitution, violating it and his oath, who’s a racist and wants to start wars with Muslims. Lucky for him that he’s been latched on to the CEO of “Dow Chemicals for months,” right before the “mysterious” Chemical attack on innocent people, opened that door for him!

No… Civil war in an era of “Mass Stupidity” is more likely to come about from cancelling a show like “The Voice,” rather than some great dire emergency! Israel turned America into it’s obedient bitch. Keeping Americans from the outside world, feasting on a diet of lies and deceit. People here still think Bin Laden was killed in 2010, while the rest of the free world knows he died in December 2001.

Amazing that a network like “Fox News” even reported it back in 2001, and the whole country is still oblivious. And while Trump plays Americans for the idiots he knows they are… the rest of the world finally see’s how pathetic we’ve become.

And here’s something else to think about… The corruption we’ve allowed to thrive is going to screw the Gold & Silver investments markets. Because that’s what rich greedy white people do… screw everyone. White, Black, Indian, Asian… all the same. Water is their next target of opportunity, and when they start screwing with that, you won’t even be able to trade 10 gold bars for “1 cup of water.”

The food and water supply will be manipulated like the Banks do with the economy, and when it becomes scarce, no one is going to give 2 shits about useless shiny metal that you can’t eat or drink. Good luck trying to sell a bunch of pretty rocks to hungry stomachs!

As long we allow corruption to happen, we deserve to be it’s victims.

  52. Checkmate

Just incase I’m not making sense to some people… take a close look at the news. How does it feel knowing your President thinks your too stupid to put 2 & 2 together? Blaming Russia for the Chemical attack, like were not smart enough to understand why he just signed the worst executive order in the world to put all of us in danger in favor of “Dow Chemicals!” A favor for a favor!

It’s disgusting and offensive to have an idiot think he’s smarter than the rest of the world. Most Americans might be dumb enough to buy it, but I can assure you the rest of the world isn’t. Shame on the media puppets for playing into it.

Welcome to the new the Israel!

  53. Checkmate

Since 9/11 is being discussed, I can’t help but wonder how many people here knew about this… https://youtu.be/yxcUb5HmFCQ
