Full Faith & Credit of a Bankrupt Insolvent Government – Bill Holter

Precious metals expert and financial writer Bill Holter says there is a long list of financial trouble coming to America sooner than later. There is the commercial real estate implosion, rising interest rates, an exploding federal budget, banana republic political problems, but the at the top of the list is the monster unpayable debt problem and the soon-to-be failing U.S. dollar. Holter says, “You can’t have a third of the federal taxes paid out in interest, and that number is only going to grow over time. . . . If the markets would not collapse ahead of time, which they certainly will, but if they did not, we would get to the point where the interest would eat up all the tax receipts. That is a mathematical impossibility. We’re broke. On the other side of it, we have two rules of law. We have one rule of law if you are a liar from the left and another rule of law if you are a conservative and you don’t support the bull crap rules they are putting out there. . . . This is an illustration that this country has already become a banana republic. The problem with that is the dollar issued by this country is the world’s reserve currency. It’s a huge problem.”
Holter says the dollar is going to take a big hit in the next financial crisis that has already started. When it hits, Holter predicts, “The actual bottom line is dollars are just pieces of paper backed by our government. The dollar is backed by the full faith and credit of a bankrupt insolvent government, and people will figure that out very quickly. When it comes to survival, people are not going to give up something real for nothing. . . . We are in the weeds right now because of interest rates . . . look at mortgage rates, they are well over 7% for a 30-year mortgage. So, that’s going to hurt housing. Commercial real estate has already been destroyed. . . . I think we are in the weeds because interest rates are at a point that nothing can be refinanced and rolled over.”
In closing, Holter says, “This is not my opinion, it’s a mathematical equation. The debt cannot be paid back. It’s not possible. We will default one way or another. We will print the crap out of the dollar and devalue it, or outright nonpayment.”
Holter predicted years ago we would end up in a “Mad Max” scenario when credit dries up and store shelves empty. Holter contends that credit is drying up with the money supply shrinking for eight straight months. The “Mad Max” world Holter is still predicting is now looking like it’s going to come true sooner than later.

Thanks for the update on Ed, glad he’s ok. Sadly, I think we’re gonna see the death numbers continue to rise significantly. Hopefully I’m wrong but from what I’m hearing the fire spread through the entire area in about 17 minutes. No good just threatening them with claims of a super weapon – you got to show them. Just about every single Austrian Economic analyst is warning their friends, family, and clients that this Keynesian MMT (More/Magical Money Today) Ponzi scheme is about to implode on itself. This includes myself. Was I wrong, or just early? I have been warning people since 2011 and preparing for what I believe must happen eventually (I believe soon).
I don’t think anyone could have foreseen how this fraud could have continued as long as it has. When a government can print fiat to infinity and manipulate every single market to hide just how bad it really is, and control the talking heads at the MSM, they have proven that this can go on for decades.
We all must decide for ourselves and our families what we believe and how we will try to protect ourselves. Bill moved his family out of the country because he believed it was the right thing to do at that time. The collapse did not happen when he thought it would and now he is back in Texas. At least he was brave enough to act on what he believed to be true.
I retired/quit my job four years ago so I could move to a PM and gun loving conservative state and set up a self-sufficient homestead. If I am wrong on the timing of this collapse then I will probably have to go back to work rather than preparing all the time. I don’t miss my old job at all and I definitely don’t miss my $2,600/Mo mortgage. Funny thing is I still have about the same fiat currency left at the end of each month as I did when I was working. Plus I grow a lot of my own food so I don’t have to eat that GMO crap.

No one could have seen that we would harp a country that wanted to move out of the dollar, or go to war after war for the same reason. Jochen, we have been very lucky for the past 10-12 years, but now collapse of the U.S dollar is really imminent. In all honesty, we have had more time to prepare for what is coming, and to take money out of the banking system. Total taxes collected by the U.S Federal Government was forecasted to be $4.7 trillion for 2023, but higher interest rates seems to be cutting into this total. July’s U.S Federal Deficit was $230 billion alone. Federal Tax Revenue has been significantly reduced by the higher interest rates, that seems to be true. Interest payments for this year will be $1.3 trillion, and defence spending is almost $800 million, so these 2 items alone are now pushing 50% of total Federal taxpayer money. As well, Bill mentioned that the Feds had to step in and buy 40% of last months’ treasuries, because there were no other buyers. The BRICS may also have their own form of SWIFT system that will further erode the need for using U.S dollars.

Great discussion with Bill, Greg. We are certainly on shaky financial ground. Thanks for having Bill on. You know, this national debt going to be our undoing. I just looked for the article and I couldn’t find it, but basically it said that every US citizens personal wealth is really the collateral for that debt. I can see this all turning out very badly, and that saying we keep hearing that, “in ten years you will own nothing and you will be happy” phrase is taking on a very tangible form, at least to me, as our national debt continues to spiral towards the moon. Well, keep the faith, I say. The train has left the station.

But identifying the start of the first 3 1/2 year of the Trubulation period is a bit more elusive. You are 100% correct! The precedent is Greece. In 2014 Greece went bust. Neither the European Central Bank or the all-powerful German Finance Minister would agree to provide Greece with a bailout. Social security benefits were cut or even cancelled. Public utilities, water, electric, public buildings and docks were sold off at fire-sale prices to the international banking cartel. Stories emerged of formerly respectable young mothers resorting to prostitution to feed their children!
The vast majority of people are oblivious to the personal risk posed by the national debt. According to ‘world debt clocks’ the official national debt equates to a massive $64,814 for EACH AND EVERY US CITIZEN – including new born babies!!

The BRICS aren’t going to announce a new gold-backed currency in August, but they may announce a gold-backed token, which will be used to settle international trade accounts. It won’t be a currency and therefore can’t be manipulated. It’s value will be tied to the price of gold set on the Moscow Exchange where only physical metal will be traded for cash. This removes the manipulated gold prices of set in America and London.
Countries that want to use this settlement system, can only get tokens based on the actual gold they hold. This will facilitate the wholesale dumping of US dollars and the buying of gold bullion.
James, I think you are right about the gold-backed token rather than a currency. The Shanghai Exchange also exchanges Gold and Silver for cash (1-1) without all those derivatives used to manipulate the market and I think will also be used to set the price of gold.
I’m expecting the BRICS to take it one step further and require at least a percentage of the gold to be deposited into the New Development Bank vaults rather than just taking everyone’s word for how much gold they have. Seems like everyone has been lying for decades on how much gold they have. If you want to trade in their new BRICS system, you will be required to deposit some gold. That’s my take anyways.

Saturday, I removed money from Chase Bank and put it in a small credit union really close to my home. I keep cash at home but there are safety limits that I wish to keep. I hope they will be less likely to lock down my account, or at the very least, give me time to respond if things go crazy wrong.
I also spent Saturday signing up for a tactical gun course (my second). Even though I have been carrying for years, I thought it would be beneficial to start to be professionally trained. My take on the Hawaii Fires: It was caused by an EMP device directly in-line on their power grid. Extremely effective. The entire town just burst into flames all at once (Helped by the smart meters). The houses did not catch on fire from a fire moving outside that then consumed their house. The wiring, walls and electrical devices in their houses just burst into flames from the inside out and the entire house was consumed instantly down to the foundation. Many people never even made it outside and died in their homes.
Many of those that tried to escape using vehicles were instantly vaporized by Directed Energy Weapons (DEWs). The evidence of DEWs is that the metal, steel, and aluminum on the vehicles were all melted into puddles yet the plastic in the vehicles is not even melted. This happens instantaneously and the people in the vehicles are also vaporized by the DEWs before they could even open their doors to get out.
Notice that the trees right next to these burned out houses and vehicles are not burned or even singed. Metal guard railings and poles are melted yet plastic is not melted right next to it nor the trees.
