Greece to Puerto Rico Unpayable Debt, More Phony Jobs, Drought and Floods

4_jpgBy Greg Hunter’s USAWatchdog.com   (WNW 197)

Whether it is Greece or Puerto Rico, the story is the same—the debt is unpayable.  Greece is going through a referendum and they are taking a que from the Clash song “Should I Stay or Should I Go.”  Meaning, should Greece stay or leave the European Union?  I say it is not going to make much difference.  The Greeks, as everybody else in the world, have been living beyond their means.  There are going to be big cuts to everything no matter what.  The Greeks want a debt cut.  The Greek Finance Minister says he’d rather “cut off his arm” than sign a bailout deal without a debt cut.  Now, folks in Spain and Italy are telling the IMF they, too, want a debt cut because the debt is unpayable.

Closer to home, Puerto Rico wants to file bankruptcy using something called “Chapter 9.”   This US territory is $75 billion in debt with a population of only 3.5 million people.  How reckless and irresponsible is the leadership there?  You mean they did not know they were heading for trouble five years ago?  How about two years ago?  You mean all of a sudden they can’t pay and “poof.”  This is what happens when you run out of other people’s money.

More phony jobs numbers were produced by the government this week in the ongoing so-called recovery story.  The MSM always focuses on the jobs created but fails to tell you they are part- time jobs or more than 400,000 just left the work force.  5.3% unemployment with 93.6 million no longer in the workforce.  That’s a recovery?  NOT.

From coast to coast, there is either too much water or not nearly enough.  Let’s start in California.  It is ground zero in in the western drought.  All of California is in some sort of drought.  Most of California has never seen a drought this bad.  This is a state of 38 million people, and about four months ago, NASA estimated that California had about a year’s worth of water left–8 months and counting, folks.  Here in the Midwest, there is too much water, way too much water.  Missouri and other states had record breaking rainfall amounts.

  1. Your fan in Japan

Hey Greg, congrats on another great WNW. FWIW, I was talking to my neighbor farmer about the weather and crops- we’ve had a lot of rain and cloudy weather here. He said that it looks like we won’t have a good crop this year. Thus rice prices will be high because of lack of supply. Now, I don’t know if there are ways that the gov’ts/corp’s can manipulate the weather, but wouldn’t this be just great timing with this TPP thing. Japan has a bad rice year- and so has to import rice- thus the people are made to feel that they NEED the TPP. They sign on, and thus sign off on what liberty they have left. Just makes one want to scream

Southcentral Pennsylvania drowning from rains, corn in lowlands stunted and yellow. Timothy Hay that should have been harvested first week of June browning in drowned fields. The rain comes so frequently, we cant get 3 to 4 days it takes to dry and bale it. Just came back from trip to Arizona and Las Vegas Nevada. VERY DRY 115 degree F temperatures. Arizona using deep groundwater wells, with little recharge and Lake Mead at Hoover Dam getting smaller everyday under Las Vegas water usage onslaught. People are waiting for something coming, Like the end of the first Terminator movie, there is a storm coming. Have been able to use this uncertainity to warn more people, hope they listen and prepare. With the moral decay in the United States and the falling away from God and our values, its no wonder the storm clouds both real and financial are gathering. God Bless You Greg!

Mike, I am in SW Pa, and we must be fairly close because exact same conditions here. Local farmers market prices are thru the roof again this year. Just very little in the way of harvest. I am West of Bedford a bit. Bob

    POWER/JUICE

THE PROBLEM: Human governments are funded by their citizens, most often through taxes and duties. This flow of money tempts some officials to steal, while others accept bribes from individuals who want them to reduce their taxes or other payments due the government. A vicious circle may result—the government raises taxes to make up for such losses, and this in turn fosters more corruption. In an environment like that, people who are honest may suffer the most.

THE SOLUTION: God’s Kingdom receives its power from the almighty God. (Revelation 11:15) It does not need to collect taxes to pay for its operation. Instead, God’s “awe-inspiring power” and his unselfish generosity ensure that the Kingdom will abundantly provide for the needs of all its subjects.—Isaiah 40:26; Psalm 145:16.

    RULER

THE PROBLEM: The effort to eliminate corruption “must start at the top,” observes Susan Rose-Ackerman, whom I quoted in my preceding post. Governments lose credibility when they try to eradicate corruption among police or customs officers while tolerating it among high officials. And even the most ethical human ruler is subject to inherent imperfection. As the Bible says, “there is no righteous man on earth who always does good.”—Ecclesiastes 7:20.

Jesus rejected the most massive bribe ever offered

THE SOLUTION: Unlike imperfect humans, Jesus Christ, whom God has selected to be Ruler of the Kingdom, cannot be tempted into doing what is wrong. Jesus showed this by rejecting the most massive bribe ever offered—“all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.” Jesus was promised this in exchange for one act of false worship to the ruler of the world, the Devil. (Matthew 4:8-10; John 14:30) Even when Jesus was being tortured to death, he was so determined to maintain his integrity that he refused a drug that would have dulled the pain but might also have left him without full command of his senses. (Matthew 27:34) Now raised back to heavenly life by God, Jesus has proved that he is fully qualified to rule over the Kingdom.—Philippians 2:8-11.

    Great Wrap-up once again Greg!

Somebody should copy the fragment from this weeks WNW from 12:05 up to 13:45 and make it go viral on YouTube, in which Greg points out that John Boehner and Mitch McConnell pushed so hard for the TPA (Trade Promotion Authority) and the TPP (Trans Pacific Partnership) and then weaseled out of going to the signing cermony. Seriously.

They know they sold out the American people and they should be tried and sentenced for the traitors that they are.

But who is going to do that, in the current corrupt system?

    Greg and all USAWatchdogs,

The IMF will help “save” Greece, just like they did with Argentina in 2002. The game plan of the globalists has been laid out and is documented. This IS their game plan. You just have to know where to look. This is important, because this will happen to us in the future as well.

    In any case,
Award-winning investigative journalist Greg Palast said that:
“We found inside these documents that basically they required nations to sign secret agreements, in which they agreed to sell off their key assets, in which they agreed to take economic steps which are really devastating to the nations involved and if they didn’t agree to these steps, there was an average for each nation that signed one-hundred and eleven items that they are required to sign on to. If they didn’t follow those steps they would be cut-off from all international borrowing. You can’t borrow any money in the international marketplace. No one can survive without borrowing, whether you are people or corporations or countries – without borrowing some money and having some credit and …
    …………………………………………………..
we’ve got examples from, I’ve got inside documents recently from Argentina, the secret Argentine plan. This is signed by Jim Wolfensen, the president of the World Bank. By the way, just so you know, they are really upset with me that I’ve got the documents, but they have not challenged the authenticity of the documents.”
[this is just a small exerpt, there is much more, for more see the link below]

Maybe it would be an idea to do an interview with Greg Palast?

This is a local program that I tuned into while driving around several years ago. I do not like to listen to the typical financial shows an AM radio — misleading, self-serving, and boring. This was different.

It was an uncle/nephew team and they played off each other in a way that reminded me of Carson/McMann on the Tonight Show. I got info on a working slave street level and a lot of laughs over serious financial events.

Yesterday, I was rushing to an appointment in Scottsdale and was laughing so hard I missed my exit on the beltway.

For you locals in Phoenix, you can listen on the radio at 1010 AM at 9 a.m. Monday thru Friday. Thursday is the best. The uncle now works in real estate, and so co-hosts on Thursdays only, but the other days are very worthwhile. I listen to Podcasts mostly because I work nights and miss the a.m. broadcasts on most days. They are informative and hilarious. They do interview Celente, Shiff, et al, but not often.

Their office (Happy Valley Road/19th Ave) is not too far from my home near Desert Ridge, so I just drive over to pick up my orders.

The above will direct you to the Podcasts. Thursday, 07/02/15, is the one that had me weaving on the highway. They speak non-PC which is refreshing, no vulgarities.

      Hi Donna,
I first came across the “Patriot Radio Newshour” with Eric Cedarstrom and his nephew Joe Jaquint a few years back when they had a spot on 1100 KXXT here in Phoenix (before moving to 1010 am). A library of archived broadcasts can be found at http://www.allamericangold.com. which I am sure you are aware of. I too look forward to Thursdays when Eric is in studio. As he has said many times “this is live radio. You never know what you’re going to hear.” That was surely true years ago especially as Eric would discuss the ramifications of the passage of Nafta and Gatt and how “we gave it (all our productive capacity) away”. I still remember Eric talking about Harry Figgie’s (ceo of Rawling’s Sports) book “Bankruptcy 1995” in which Harry had printed a chart showing the coming hyperinflation that “looks like a hockey stick”. Thank you for posting this Donna. The grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be richly with your spirit! “For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sober mind” 2 Tim. 1:7

Greg: several thoughts on your topics this week:
    1. The situation with Greece follows the same bankster/IMF/World Bank game plan/Agenda so famously outlined by Perkins in his “Confessions of an Economic Hit Man” for the planned sovereign debt enslavement, corruption or assassination of a country’s political leaders, and the ultimate pillage of national assets through privatization. You should try to get him on your show.
    2. The weather strangeness (whether California or Missouri ) only gives more credence to the research done by GeoengineeringWatch. You should probably have Dane on again. I’m not sure that your viewers connected all the obvious dots on his first appearance; principally. that TPTB are really out to destroy the population of the US through incremental genocide.
Have a happy fourth, although with the 24/7 fear mongering of an ISIS attack on the US, I am sure that we might just see another false flag this weekend.

Great WNW Greg. Not sure what we should expect. Machines took over agriculture jobs for the most part, machines took over most manufacturing jobs and now machines have taken over most service sector jobs. l remember as a young man and firm believer in trickle down economics being told by management at General Dynamics that machines taking over jobs was a good thing because the machines would free up much time for the American people to pursue more leisure and time with their families. ‘m sure these lines started in boardrooms and trickled down to the rest of us. Well we all know what actually happened to all of us except the 1%. Mom and Dad both work mostly meaningless jobs, the kids belong to the state and the boardroom BS is still tossed around like confetti in the media and from there to each other. That’s just the jobs. Don’t get me started on economics and the confetti falling from there. The for profit (Capitalism for the 1%) system is now beginning to show it’s true colors and have very detrimental effects on the vast majority of Americans. l worked as a contractor for the US Army in Germany from 1990 thru 2009. This was my home base but from there l bounced to Bosnia, Kosovo, Peru, Spain and three countries in the Middle East. no longer listen to the confetti because l’ve seen all three for profit systems (Capitalism, Socialism and Communism) at work in peoples lives and as crazy as it sounds Bernie Sanders makes more sense (is more honest) than any of the confetti throwers. Unfortunately even he still thinks for profit works toward peoples good for more than a short stint. Don’t know the answer but am sure we’re asking all the wrong questions. can say that upon returning home in 2009, l was shocked at the standard of living for most of America. Talk about stressed out. Germany’s 1% seems to care more about the people around them and the stress level is far lower. Americans are the greatest people on the planet and hopefully will quit eating confetti and move to a more balanced diet. Christ ran them out of the temple symbolically and literally. Now it’s our turn to finish it.

    • JMiller

Sorry, but I and others who do not make a lot of money, do not work meaningless jobs as you seem to imply.

      • Jim H

JMiller. Sorry that’s all you derived out of what l wrote. No offense intended but for most jobs what l wrote applies. Glad you have a good one.

  14. Montana Rancher

Just a update on crops in western Montana

We had decent snowpack but the hot spring melted it off prematurely, so high water rights have been called out 10 days ago. In my 24 years of irrigating that is the earliest I have ever seen by at least three weeks. IMO we are experiencing August weather in late June, I would normally be planning my first cut just after the 4th, but because of the hot weather I am already done and not sure the water will be there for a second, very unusual and I expect high hay prices this fall.

There is already smoke in the air, fire danger is extreme and the entire county has banned fireworks for good reason.

    • Greg Hunter

Thank you Rancher for the street level reporting!!
      Greg

    • dbcooper

MR, I am with you … we are western foothills of the Rockies and are hearing that water is being turned off to rights holders… we are cutting our grass hay now and do not let it lay too long as it will turn to chaff… had 107 degrees last weekend and now over 100 everyday.. too hot !! Dane wiggington is not wrong. We are certainly in times of judgment… repent and hold on tight. Yours in Faith and Liberty, FN DB

  15. NC Gal

Great WNW, Greg! 96 million people out of work is around THIRTY percent of the total US population, not all of whom are old enough to work. When you said there is no way that we can pay our bond debt, that means that the US is no different than any of these other countries that can’t pay their debts, except that we can print money and they can’t. Unpayable debt is “baked in the cake” of fractional reserve banking worldwide. It’s intrinsic to that whole way of doing things with that kind of leveraging. The weather is also part of the direct meddling being done with natural processes. We are looking at the train wreck heading straight toward us and are like deer in the headlights, frozen in place while we watch it approach. Almost all of our so-called elected officials are betraying us every time they draw breath, so no relief in that direction, either.

Speaking of timing, last night I saw the most extraordinary video that I have seen in a very long time. It ties together Jade Helm, the TPP and TPA, and reveals exactly where all of this is going, including “the mark of the Beast” now being circumvented by two computer programs, called JADE 2 and GeoINT, that “map the human domain.” (Now you can finally find out what that is!) They are being rolled out/tested during Jade Helm 15. It also covers how the Agenda 21 vision (being amped up on September 25 at the UN) puts forth a rosy picture for humankind, while ignoring the terrible toll that will be taken in getting there.

The video is “Caravan To Midnight – Episode 309 Jade Helm Decoded” and can be seen at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqGEz9IqOrE. It is 2 1/2 hours long and the relevant part starts at the 16 min. mark. This video shows how all of the things we have been talking about here are related and what the elites now have in place for their implementation of global control. It is something straight out of the movies, “Minority Report” and “Enemy of the State.”

I highly recommend seeing this. In fact, I would say it is a MUST SEE if you want to get a handle on just how far things have progressed. This totally fits with my own expectations that the financial collapse will occur when the elites are ready for their next steps. This video shows just how close they are to being ready. The part at the very end tells you how to NOT contribute toward what they are doing with these systems.

    • john duffy

You are so right! I watched it last week and it ties everything together. I was going to just watch it in segments, but ended up watching it in one sitting.

    • NC Gal

That interview pulls back the curtain and lets us see the technology being used to identify, track and target anyone who does not conform to the norms that they define. Just posting here on USAWD can get us “listed,” but as Greg is already aware, it doesn’t stop there. There is a constant warfare being wages on us in other ways, to shape our beliefs, among other things. There is a very long article that goes into this and the history behind this form of warfare, titled “Who controls the agreed upon reality through the mainstream media and why they fear disclosing the truth about the extraterrestrial reality” (home page is at http://thewebmatrix.net/disclosure/index.html).

The other component being used side by side with this technology is a virtual army of people on the ground, as detailed in this single paragraph from that article:

“The all encompassing surveillance capabilities of the NSA, with quantum computer processing abilities, with hundred of years of storage of the entire worlds communications, with back-door keys to all operating systems, to know what everybody is thinking and doing, is being falsely claimed to be used for our protection, when in actually it is being used against us and for their agenda of population control, according to major NSA whistle blowers such as Snowden and Binney. Their fear of a “global awakening” as evoked them to recruit online armies to spread disinformation. Since they have not gained full control yet of what is being shared between people on the alternative media of the internet, the military and intelligence agencies have enlisted thousands of Military Sock Puppets, NSA Trolls & CIA Shills to “counter-blog” citizens opinions and expressions, as well as manipulating polls to change the public’s perception of what the majority accepts as the agreed upon reality online. ” (on page at http://thewebmatrix.net/disclosure/conclusion.html).

This is why I have cautioned against accepting material from disinformation sites such as whatdoesitmean.com and beforeitsnews.com. They instill fear at every stroke of the pen, and as that interview shows, when you get into fear or anger, that’s what makes you stand out as a target for elimination. Godlikeproductions.com (a favorite hangout for dissidents and other malcontents) was bought several years ago by a Scottish intelligence agency and has been monitoring and profiling people there for quite a while.

In listening to that interview, I came to a place where I moved past any idea that I could run or hide and that brought me to a place of calm and lack of fear. I am not afraid to die and I absolutely would not want to live in the world they are moving toward creating, and that clarity of resolution brought me peace.

Good WNW, Greg! It has been flooding around our area of Illinois, too. I asked my husband just yesterday “why can’t they set up a pumping station or two along the Mississippi or Missouri Rivers, so when there is a runoff overflow, they can send it out west?” I know this would take a lot of effort and money, but it might be part of a solution… ???

  20. Jerry

    Happy 4th Greg!
I’m having real trouble finding something to celebrate about this year. When I think about the sacrifices that my family has made over the years in two world wars and in Viet Nam in order for me to enjoy this freedom, it brings great sadness to me to stand by watch the American people throw it all away for nothing.

We have allowed a globalist organization to seize control of our economic system, our government, our news media, and our court systems. If that wasn’t enough we have even allowed them to drill down into our religious principles and tear them apart in order to create uniformity to the coming new world order. This country has been carved up and served on a platter like a Thanksgiving Turkey, while our freedoms have been sold off one by one wholesale. The worst part is, the American people have been so dumbed down, they can’t even see it.

Former Soviet Union leader Nikita Khrushchev was right when he said “we will bury you without firing a shot”! The globalist with the help from the progressives in our congress have done it. The thread that once held the Constitution has now been cut. The Federal Government is now the supreme absolute power of this land, and has earned Gods judgment.

    • Greg Hunter

      Jerry.
“Fear Not” my friend! Happy 4th!!!!
      Greg

    • Charles H.

      Jerry,

I too am heart-sick. I served during Vietnam.

Consider this… you have it backwards. The Globalists haven’t drilled down into our religious systems to tear them apart, after seizing control of economic and governmental systems…
A far more Ancient Evil, and powerful, which has unlimited generational knowledge and practice in human vice and weakness – gains the ascendency in mankind’s affairs. When the light of Truth does not burn: dark evil assumes it’s place – like a candle in a room. Kind, patient, tolerant Christianity let it’s guard down; and is now being trampled for it. The battle has always been spiritual. And the enemy – unseen, yet discernible.

Three oscillations. The Jewish nation, a Race to reveal God; Christianity, a People to communicate God’s Plan of Redemption, the Gospel; and the Millennial Kingdom, where God Himself, the Lord Jesus Christ rules and reigns in Jerusalem a thousand years. This is the length of humanity. Through it all – Sin will be proved; and God justified.

This Fourth, Jerry – kiss your family long… look them in the eyes, and hold them tight. Your expressions will mean more to them than ever. Choose to be happy and loving for them: they need it. Have a Happy 4th!

      • Jerry

        Charles.
I get it. The author of all lies is spearheading this attack. And no I’m not talking about Barrack Obama. Sodom and Gomorrah have nothing on us. Evil is upheld as good, while the righteous are persecuted. The stench of a rotting once great nation is ascending into the heavens, and all over the world the Shofar is being heard, as the master approaches. Soon, very soon, every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is the Christ. God bless you Charles for your kind words of support. You are an inspiration to this site.

    • jim gilly

Jerry, usually you make some good points but the statement “When I think about the sacrifices that my family has made over the years in two world wars and in Viet Nam in order for me to enjoy this freedom” is a little off base don’t you think?

To be specific, the war in Viet Nam was another US travesty and had zero to do with your freedom or the freedom of anyone else for that matter. Hopefully, your not of the mindset like some others of what we did in Vietnam was right and we should have bombed the North back into the Stone Age. Then again, I’m sure there are a number of idiots out there that still think invading and destroying Iraq was a smart thing to do.

Like the saying, “what goes around comes around” and it’s just around the corner.

I am first and foremost an American. What country doesn’t have a dark history? If you think Russia or China or anyone else think again. I have native American blood. Tribes were killing each other, long before the Europeans set foot here, but yet progressives always paint them as victims. Victim ideology is an easy trap to fall into, be careful.

      Jerry,

Many things are coming apart. Have faith. This is that Achilles’ heel. Evil is laced with weaknesses.

I never thought I would align more with Russia than my own country. I see now that the west is the seed of evil, pornography and filth. The west has become Sodom & Gomorrah.

The East is standing in the way of the West’s evil. Please believe that as smart as these Ivy leaugers think they are, they are weak.

They come from evil…. they are Satinist etc etc….we will win!

Just Thinking. It appears we have several things coming down the road all at the same time: Economy crashing, severe cooling (little ice age–full blown ice age?), disruption in food supply, very possible serious quake & volcano activity, civil unrest–or worse, world unrest–or worse, a great Evil within government & banking, and I think my horse has sugar diabetes! There’s a couple of prairie dog towns in my pasture; they live deep under the ground, and I think I’ll move in with them. Fiddlin

Emergency meeting? Where do you get that idea from? Certainly not from the article you posted. The 7th BRICS summit was, of course, scheduled. As far as the G20 goes, they are just representatives of global investment firms and bankers who were invited. They are interested in the new BRICS Development Bank, NDB. From the article – “Membership of the BRICS Bank will be open to all members of the United Nations.” and “Many countries, including Greece, have stated in recent weeks that they are keen to join the new BRICS Development Bank.”

      Jerry,

I realize I maybe criticized by this but I wonder if Snowden getting to Russia was an act of divine intervention. The NSA realized what had happened, what he did and knew he was a flight risk.

However, he was able to board a plane, using his own passport ( which the NSA forgot to or didn’t flag). He got to Moscow safely and is in a much safer place than here in US.
Not many of us know what was on those laptops, but I would guess it was a lot of extremely crucial information pertaining to the intricate plans of the NSA.

Jerry, God works in mysterious ways….

      • Jerry

        WD
He surely does. By my way of thinking the G20 knows something is up. Their next meeting wasn’t supposed to be until November 15th in Antalya. I believe the Greece default has put pressure on them to act now, as the European derivative market is beginning to show signs of collapse with the Greek default. The next few weeks will reveal everything.

For any Canadians (or possibly other countries out there) to put the Californian drought crisis into perspective, they have roughly the same population of Canada. Imagine the population of Canada with less than one year of water left. Sand coming out of their taps. That’s a lot of people affected by this lack of water, never mind all the food they cultivate there that isn’t growing. So what was California’s action plan to combat this drought? They took on 5 American Hockey League teams. To make a sheet of ice it takes approximately 10,600 gallons of water. If any other event goes on in the arena they remove the ice and put it back in afterwards. Even if they left the ice standing all year that’s 53,000 gallons of water, plus the 3 NHL teams the state has, and don’t forget they played an outdoor game there last year in 57 degree weather. But the citizens water usage is highly monitored. The point is that if California really cared about their water crisis they would do something about it, not think about building a stadium and adding more hockey teams.

Going back north of the border in terms of the drought, I was recently in British Columbia and they’re in a bit of a drought too (no where near California, but Greg’s drought map only includes the US so I thought I’d expand it.) But remember how the North East was having the worst winter on record? BC was breaking weather for heat, they were six weeks ahead in terms of when spring came along and with spring they didn’t get a lot of rain. According to the BC government website drought map (where 1 is normal and 4 is extremely dry) Vancouver Island along with Haida Gwaii and the Southwest mainland is at a 3 and the rest of the areas along the US border are at a 2. I can only speak for Vancouver Island but they can only water their lawns Thursday and Sunday after 5pm. Again, nothing like California but I thought I’d add this bit of information to show that it doesn’t necessarily get magically better when you cross an invisible line.

Sources for those interested: http://bcrfc.env.gov.bc.ca/lowflow/droughtmap.htm (BC’s drought map – last updated June 25th as of this comment)
Family members told me about the restrictions for watering lawns in BC, though that can probably be verified on the bc gov website.

    Greg,

No doubt Greece and Puerto Rico are just the beginning of the global reset to come. It just shows how flawed and ominous the credit bubble is becoming. As these matters continue we should all take a cue from Greece and start withdrawing cash before the same policies come to our shores!

As for the drought issues I hope you can bring back Dane Wigington for an update as to how far the geoengineering has gone to cause this disaster. In my area the rain has been consistent, but not record-setting so the farmers are doing ok (as I’ve heard on local news). Starting your own garden, if possible, would be a good thing to consider.

The jobs picture is a mess and will only get worse until we have new leadership on both sides of the aisle. Wages for June are flat and the job participation rate fell to 62.6 (lowest since 1977!) Also, what I heard from Peter Schiff was that the age group where employment has risen is the 55+ crowd – so much for demographics causing the drop-off for employment levels. I agree this fall is looking like a time of explosive action, but I feel history will show the Greece/PR debt issue was the starting point. Happy 4th Greg!

IN LAWS OUT LAWS LAWS LAWS LAWS

THE PROBLEM: At first, you might think that enacting new laws could improve matters. However, experts have found that in many cases, increasing the number of laws just provides more opportunities for corruption. Additionally, legislation specifically intended to reduce corruption often costs much to implement yet accomplishes little.

THE SOLUTION: The laws of the Kingdom of God are vastly superior to those of human governments. For example, rather than itemizing an extensive list of dos and don’ts, Jesus gave what is often called the Golden Rule. He stated: “All things, therefore, that you want men to do to you, you also must do to them.” (Matthew 7:12) Perhaps more significantly, the laws of the Kingdom focus on both motives and actions. “You must love your neighbor as yourself,” said Jesus. (Matthew 22:39) Of course, God, who can read the heart, could actually enforce such commands.—1 Samuel 16:7.

    MOTIVES

THE PROBLEM: The driving forces behind corruption are greed and self-interest. Government officials and citizens often display those negative qualities. In a department-store collapse in Seoul, government officials accepted bribes from contractors who knew that paying a bribe would be less costly than using proper building materials and construction practices.

To eliminate corruption, then, people must be taught how to overcome entrenched motives such as greed and selfishness. However, human governments lack both the will and the ability to implement this type of educational program.

THE SOLUTION: God’s Kingdom deals with corruption at its roots by teaching people how to overcome the wrong motives that cause it. * This education helps them “to be made new in [their] dominant mental attitude.” (Ephesians 4:23) They learn to replace greed and selfishness with contentment and interest in others.—Philippians 2:4; 1 Timothy 6:6.

  28. Patrick

The reason for the droughts right next to floods is obvious. The powers that be are geo-engineering the weather. As long as a majority of the people keep their heads in the sand, we are powerless against the poisoning. Anyone who does not believe this is going on is completely ignorant. Here is a quote from U.S. patent 7645326 titled “RFID ENVIORNMENTAL MANIPULATION” : “introducing highly reflective aluminum oxide particulate into the atmospheric environment.” The title says enough but simply put, aluminum poisoning of civilians, water supply, air supply, etc. in order to MANIPULATE the weather. Can we get an update from Dane Wigington? I have been trying to inform the public as well as I can and am curious if there has been any significant headway.

    Good wrap up Greg.
You mentioned that financial “analysts” continue to trumpet the good news about the economy. They will continue to do so … , although now at the risk of being labeled an “unprivileged belligerent” under the DoD’s detention policies in the Law of War manual released late last month. The new revision to the DoD manual brings the terminology in line with 10 U.S. Code § 948a, which provides definitions for detainee policies rewritten by Congress to refine the military-commission process. It provides a very precise definition of the two classes of belligerents:

    (6) Privileged belligerent.— The term “privileged belligerent” means an individual belonging to one of the eight categories enumerated in Article 4 of the Geneva Convention Relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War.

    (7) Unprivileged enemy belligerent.— The term “unprivileged enemy belligerent” means an individual (other than a privileged belligerent) who—(A) has engaged in hostilities against the United States or its coalition partners; (B) has purposefully and materially supported hostilities against the United States or its coalition partners; or
    (C) was a part of al Qaeda at the time of the alleged offense under this chapter.

This section goes back to the Military Commissions Act of 2006, sponsored by Mitch McConnell, but the new terms were introduced in the 111th Congress in the NDAA for 2009. It passed in October 2009 and was signed a few days later by President Obama.

SO, if journalists don’t toe the company line, not only are they risking their jobs, they are potentially on the level of an “enemy combatant” – and ostensibly risk imprisonment without charge (at Guantanamo Bay one would presume?). Media/message control has taken a [much] darker turn. We have examples for those that would resist.. If you expose/leak information like Snowden you will be criminally charged and prosecuted, if you don’t like the atrocities you are commanded to commit and “desert” – you will be charged, and if you speak truth or opinion in opposition to the company line, you may well be a non-priviledged belligerent/enemy combatant/enemy of the state. I thought it a little bit humorous that if you do what you are told, you will be considered a member of the “privileged”. All pigs are equal; just some pigs are more equal than others ya know.

This appears to be an advertisement for some “additional analysis” , but I thought it captured interesting information. http://thecrux.com/dyncontent/dollar-substitute-coming/?cid=MKT035907&eid=MKT076392

Have a great 4th everybody. Celebrate the liberty we have had.

    Greg,

Today, in Aguascalientes, Mexico – there are LONG lines for gasoline: blocks long, in fact. Most gas stations ran-out of combustibles, as PEMEX shut-down it’s main, permanent pipe-line. The pretext is ‘packets’ of gasoline sent from pumping stations are arriving way short of the amount sent: and they are checking the whole system for clandestine taps where it’s being robbed. This makes sense – but why on a Friday? and WHY on an American Holiday weekend – which many Mexicans are aware and somewhat subscribe to. Traffic is WAY down all over.
What is suspect, for me, is that many merchants – when they want to increase profits: they completely cut-off supply. Meat marketers do this occasionally (quit slaughtering); the people panic; and when the product arrives again: people pay whatever abusive price to get the product. And what worries me is that this now is the Federal Government here in the gasoline possibly doing this. And they have been raising the price steadily for years. (And now are looking to tax fast-foods; medicine; staple foods which have been exempt in the past) So even here in Mexico – I feel the government is conditioning the people to serve under an ever increasing tax-burden. Sound familiar?

Greg, I listen to every USA Watchdog podcast, and because of what I have to say I will hit the donations button. I feel you are under-reporting the influence of large scale agriculture in tandem with big government. The firms involved are just as culpable as the ‘banksters’.

The mono-cropping strategy employed in our century has done wonders for the companies that profit from the practice, from sales of liquid fertilizer, to patented forms of life in the form of seed. The GMO-pesticide supported growth rotation of beans, corn, alfalfa is a common sign of this aberration, and it is everywhere. The health implications to US citizens are certainly worthy of debate.

Industrial agriculture has forced farmers off their land by restricting profit and dis-incentivized their heirs from keeping family farms. The water of California is been diverted to help support an over-engineered agriculture system that never should have been put there in the first place. The scene behind you, leaving soil exposed to sunlight is the worst thing for a growing medium.

Political issues sometimes become fashion statements and this has obscured the right’s ability to see the large scale agri-business model for what it is. I am a card carrying God-fearing Conservative. I know these may sound like stereotypical liberal issues. They are not. They are common sense. No, it is not ok to eat poison and hormones. Why do we have summer camps for kids with cancer?

There are several Libertarian-Conservative minded people you could interview, including Joel Salatin, Mark Shepard, or Ben Hewitt. Check out their YouTube videos. They are leading a revolution in American agriculture and they deserve your attention.

You are the most decent, objective newscaster in the US. Someone I have followed since your CNN days. But I have to say as a friend would, you have a blind spot in this area, and you and your listeners would benefit greatly from more in-depth covering on both sides of this issue.

Thanks for all you do, and for reading. Most other newscasters would not have done so, which is why I listen to every broadcast of USA Watchdog. And I ‘fear not’ because I grow most of my own food the way our ancestors did!

Here in Central Ohio we have had 19 days of rain. Yesterday was the first day without any rain. Today, rain (light precipitation). Good for the reservoirs BUT bad for the farmers.

The farmer across from my brother told him that if it did not stop he was going to lose 75% of his corn crop. He was fearful that he still might lose most of it do to rot from all the rain.

Yes, too little rain is bad. BUT too much rain can be just as bad. Best to start stocking up now before food prices go through the roof due to shortages and the devaluation of the dollar (inflation). Cheaper now vs what it is going to be.

Why Greg do people here as well as yourself today keep saying that 96 million people are out of the work force. Of course they are out of the workforce they are retired people, 16, 17, 18, year old kids. Stay at home moms or dads, people who have retired before 65. Then later you commented that the unemployed rate should really be around 23%.
I just don’t understand. I’m not the sharpest tool in the wood shed that’s for sure. Please help me understand why this figure is constantly used. Thanks Greg. Appreciate your work…If you don’t have time to respond I understand. You must be very busy, and I have asked this before.

    • Greg Hunter

      Robert,
It is the same as it was in the mid to late 70’s. These are unproductive people and if the economy was truly in recovery you would not see the number this high. This is more than “retired people, 16, 17, 18, year old kids. Stay at home moms or dads.” Yes, it would be 23% if unemployment was computed the say way BLS did back in 1994 and earlier. The government with the help of academia change the method to make tings look better than reality. This according to economist John Williams.
      Greg

    • JMiller

You are partially correct Robert. High school and college kids, housewives with children, permanently disable people and people who decided to retire, while not in the work force should not be counted in the unemployed rate since they are not available to work full-time. However some of those “not in the work force” are available to work full-time. Bill Holter said on the Miles Franklin site that ShadowStats has two unemployment numbers. One is 18% and the other is the often quoted other is 23%. I believe the rate of unemployment is at least around 18% and may be as high as ShadowStats 23% as long as ShadowStats is not counting full-time low paying jobs in that number.

Greg, you are very heavily imitated on that site. One after the other of your guests get interviewed by Wells, especially in the last few months. Could be coincidence, no matter.

I see you as the trailblazer, my introduction to a whole new world of info. Wells does longer interviews that make me feel like an eavesdropper in a café. You have a dogged approach that elicits a lot of information in a short period. Wells’ café approach brings out that person’s personality along with the info.

Quayle says that the antidote to fear is knowledge. I do prefer the sorry truth so that I at least know what I’m dealing with.

I make a point lately of introducing the subject of financial collapse when I’m out and about and get in conversations with people. One guy just spent an hour with his “financial adviser” to do some tweaking of his IRA. He lost his home in 2008 and just bought another home a year ago. He felt he had all his ducks lined up, and then he had to go and run into me.

I gave him my take on everything from mortgages to hard assets. I backed up my words with simply my own actions in these matters. I asked him why he was parking all his money in an IRA and the bank. He started to question me about my gold and silver knowledge and I crushed his bubble by listing my actions in regard to same. I was probably the first person he met who went against the herd notions. His idea of hard assets was a newly minted mortgage and an IRA account.

I knew I blew up his elation and his confidence. I am beyond telling people what they need to hear or being a mirror they can preen in front of. I get the sense that people just need to feel reassurance. I gave him none.

I think people sense things are very out of kilter. They don’t for the most part have the knowledge to name the problem, just hoping it all goes away over time. They do not realize that this is not cyclical and the next bozo politician will not fix any of it.

  42. David B.

I was amused when I saw a recent headline that reflected interest in the professional football team, St. Louis Rams: Los Angeles, San Diego, and perhaps another California city.

I’m trying to imagine where nearly 33 million people will move to in less than nine months, that won’t cause massive dislocations– concurrent with an impending financial collapse.

One could throw in Arizona, Utah, Texas, and others in similar circumstances.

I’m trying to hold back my cynicism regarding Obama, geoengineering, depopulation.

    Perhaps I’ve said enough.

    Greg and all,

Some street level reporting from Greece by an 21 year old who wrote a letter to the Financial Times. A small excerpt:

“But now I can hardly remember life before Friday night. Fear. I am terrified of tomorrow, all I now see is black. Uncertainty, leading us through our days, every remainder of hope for a brighter future being destroyed by the minute. I look at my three-year-old niece, I envy her ignorance, I envy her age. I am 21 years old and the past few days I feel tired by life. A referendum that supposedly gives me the right to define my future, seems to have taken it away.”

Thinking about the coming Presidential debates … the MSM “might just perhaps” ask Jeb and Hilary about the water problems in California … Jeb will probably say “as President I will not ignore a gathering threat and that is why I will order extra bottles of water for our troops so our military will never have a problem taking action against domestic terrorists” … and Hillary asked the same question will probably say “what does it matter” … as for the people of California they will likely re-elect Gov. Brown in a landslide victory.

What I’m suggesting about American leadership and its people is they are not the “Indispensable Ones” they claim to be … but a bunch of moronic incompetents … and that is why the IMF will announce a reserve currency alternative to the US dollar on October 20th 2015 … to take the “fate of world” out of the hands of these “incompetent morons” … people who can’t take simple necessary actions to save themselves from a drought … or even have the slightest intelligence to buy a one ounce gold coin for $25 dollars when offered to them.

Americans will soon see the most profound transfer of wealth (out of their hands) in their lifetime … and with dry mouths and little food will scratch their head and wonder why it takes a $100 US fiat dollar bill … to buy just one “silvery” Mexican peso!

  45. Craig Michael

    Hi Greg,
Thanks again for another powerful news wrap-up. I wish it could be longer.

This is really happening. We are heading for the abyss. You were right in pointing out the absence of Boehner and McConnel at the bill signing at the White House.

Wayne Allyn Root has written a powerful article raising the possibility that Republican politicians and Chief Justice Roberts are being blackmailed (others have also raised this possibility). Hopefully, this is not true. But what is the alternative? That they are serving powerful corporate interests ahead of the people’s interests? That they are abandoning their Constitutional duty of checks and balances and being a co-equal branch of government?

Greg, I want to add this. I thought Obama’s “eulogy” in South Carolina was phony and divisive. I thought his singing of Amazing Grace was pretentious. Here is a man who has done nothing to address the world-wide persecution of Christians or the continuing rise of anti-semitism. His drone attacks have killed American citizens without due process and many civilians.

His only opposition, for the most part, seems to be talk-radio and commentators on the Internet.

  46. Ross Herman

Greg, are you trying to be coy? Do you not realize that three of your main points are directly related? Why does Gov Brown do everything to squander water preservation capabilities, don’t we need a new stadium or something? Why is there so much flooding/rain east of the Rockies? Why is there no rainfall in California? All these points are tied directly together by Geoengineering! If you are not familiar with the weather warfare via chemtrails, Dana Wigington provides many good educational videos on YouTube. In my opinion the primary goal (they always have multiple agendas) is destruction of food production, for the depopulation agenda, witch ties in nicely with the contamination of Pacific Ocean foods and Gulf of Mexico foods.
    I love you Greg,

This is interesting … the Greek government can pay off all its debt … by simply printing euro’s with a Y before the serial number! http://www.marketoracle.co.uk/Article51289.html

Seems like a Greek “NO VOTE” is all but insured … this likely means the Greeks will be given a “debt reduction” … just how it is done is up to the EU … but a simple solution would be just allow Greece to print up euro’s to pay off their debt … euro’s with a Y before the serial number … this will be highly inflationary! .. Got Gold?

In this fantasy debt money world … everything is made right by just printing … remember in the olden days when we would scrimp and save to put some “money we had” into a a bank account to earn 6 percent interest … well in today’s fantasy world the way we earn 6 percent interest is by taking out a credit card and spending “money we don’t have” on purchases. The bankers found out that the old way (of saving money) took the money out of circulation which was deflationary … the new way (taking out credit cards) keeps the money in circulation which is inflationary! … Got Silver?

Political humor – Why did the chicken cross the road?:

Sarah Palin: “The chicken crossed the road because, gosh-darn it, he’s a maverick!”

Barack Obama: “Let me be perfectly clear: if the chickens like their eggs, they can keep their eggs. No chicken will be required to cross the road to surrender her eggs. Period.”

John McCain: “My friends, the chicken crossed the road because he recognized the need to engage in cooperation and dialogue with all the chickens on the other side of the road.”

Hillary Clinton: “What difference, at this point, does it make why the chicken crossed the road?”

George W. Bush: “We don’t really care why the chicken crossed the road. Heh, heh! We just want to know if the chicken is on our side of the road or not. The chicken is either with us or against us. There is no middle ground here.”

    Dick Cheney: “Where’s my gun?”

Colin Powell: “Now, to the left of the screen, you can clearly see the satellite image of the chicken crossing the road.”

Bill Clinton: “I did not cross the road with that chicken.”

Al Gore: “I invented the chicken.”

Al Sharpton: “Why are all the chickens white?”

Pat Buchanan: “To steal the job of a decent, hardworking American.”

John Kerry: “Although I voted to let the chicken cross the road, I am now against it! It was the wrong road to cross, and I was misled about the chicken’s intentions. I am not for it now, and will remain against it.”

Capitalism works perfectly and efficiently until it sends jobs out of the country it serves.

    Interesting weather comments.
Flood and drought seem to be the main weather events this summer.
Here in northern Minnesota, we have dry! (Southern Minnesota has been overly wet.)
We are praying for rain today, but promised morning showers did not materialize.
The corn is showing signs of stress from the lack of moisture.
We have a huge garden that we must water everyday because the rain spigot seems to have shut off. The farmers’ irrigators going every day.
July is normally a dry month here, so getting needed moisture is not a promising outlet.
The Drought Monitor has not labeled us as abnormally dry–yet, but I won’t be surprised if that does not change before the month is over.
One can see by their map that the dryness is slowly advancing eastward across the country.

Greece Crisis: Greeks Defy Europe With Overwhelming ‘No’ to Austerity Terms
    By Caroline Crawford
    Independent.ie
    July 5, 2015

Greeks voted overwhelmingly today to reject terms of a bailout, risking financial ruin in a show of defiance that could splinter Europe.

With nearly two thirds of the votes counted, official figures showed 61.3 percent of Greeks rejecting the bailout offer. An official interior ministry projection confirmed the figure as close to the expected final tally.

The astonishingly strong victory by the ‘No’ camp overturned opinion polls that had predicted an outcome too close to call. It leaves Greece in uncharted waters: risking financial and political isolation within the euro zone and a banking collapse if creditors refuse further aid.

I object to you claiming that Greece is living beyond its means. Greece is in a Depression: 25% unemployment (50% among youths), pensions took a 30% haircut, and on-third of the population lives in poverty.

90% of the loans to Greece go into repaying the debt, so the money just circulates between international banks. The 10% that goes to the Greek people isn’t enough to run the government, so the bankers have forced Greece to sell off its assets and privatize various programs. That’s why the health care system is in shambles and people are dying. That’s why billionaires are buying their own private islands.

    • Greg Hunter

      Sharon,
There is no doubt that this is fraud by the bankers and the former leaders. That said, if Greeks were living within their means there would have been no need for a bailout in the first place. Everybody has dirty hands here. Socialism is great until you run out of other peoples money. This is what is coming to the rest of the world. As Gregory Mannarino said in his last interview we have run into peak debt. Your points are well made and well taken.

Chemtrails are condensed water. The weather is always bad somewhere. Madmen trying to rule the world? What’s new? Instead of pointing to bizzare scenarios that we can’t do anything about as individuals, we need to point out to the uninformed that the democrat party is infested with good ol card carrying commies and their leader is barack obama. The mainstream media is full of commies as well. And no one uses the “C” word to describe them. Fighting communism in the USA is the task at hand. That is the key to stopping all of this.

    • Terry

There are plenty of commies who describe themselves as republicans as well. Whatever label they use, communism is the reason the world is in such trouble right now. Focus.

You were on a radio program tonight Coast to Coast Am and I thought about asking you are credit unions safer than banks?
    Thank You With Blessings Chashia/Charisse

    • Greg Hunter

      Charisse,
They are safer, but only marginally. The Fed oversees the Credit Unions as well as the banks. You simply must diversify and get some gold and silver coins along with your cash and supplies. (I sell nothing and do not care where you get your gold and silver. The folks who sponsor the “How do I buy Gold and Silver” page are honest and I do not get a commission of any kind. I just know they are honest and fair. The name is Discount Gold and Silver Trading. 800-375-4188 Real humans answer the phone.) You also need your vehicles in top shape. If you are close on tires and a new battery then please get them.
      Greg
