Weekly News Wrap-Up 3.21.14

This week, we, once again, lead with the Ukraine crisis.  Russian President Putin now says, “Crimea is part of Russia.”  A referendum in Crimea voted overwhelmingly in favor of joining Russia.  The West is not buying it and has sanctioned Russia.  This is supposed to be a serious international crisis.  So, why are the sanctions so light?  We hit with a feather and then another feather by only sanctioning a few people in Ukraine and Russia.  Russia hit back with some feather sanctions of its own, but also threatens to damage the U.S. dollar and not helping us with the Iranian nuclear negotiations.  There is not much in the way of sanctions coming out of Europe, as well.  Angela Merkel, Chancellor of Germany, is also talking a tough game, but at this point, it is just talk.  The real problem here is the West finds itself in a very weak financial position and really can’t take a hit economically.  It seems the world is teetering on insolvency.  Europe and Russia are doing much business together.  Russia is a major supplier of natural gas to the EU, and the EU has many investments in Russia.  Both Shell and BP have major oil and natural gas deals in Russia.  Could this spiral out of control?  Yes, but the smart money probably is not going to push it on either side.  Let’s hope it does not turn into a bloody civil war.   

I had book author and Russian blogger Dmitry Orlov on this week, and he says the U.S. needs Russia militarily.  How do you think we supply troops in Afghanistan?  We have a deal to go through Russia.  That is a huge point that most have not reported.  One last thing, I took some heat for what some say was being too pro Russia.  I am certainly not pro Russia.  I am pro America!  That said, I am pointing out the weak position our leaders have put us in and warning of the potential dangers to Americans.  Questioning the government and warning of a potential calamity is patriotic.  You can’t address a problem until you identify it.  America is always better off with critical analysis, and that is something Russia does not allow its people. 

New Fed Chief Janet Yellen gave her first press conference, and the markets crashed.   You really can’t blame her.  She is now in charge, and interest rates have nowhere to go but up.  The Fed cut another $10 billion in bond buying, but it is still pumping out $55 billion a month to prop up the system.  That is still more than $600 billion a year.  Best-selling author Jim Rickards says the Fed simply has no choice but to “taper” it.  Rickards says the Fed is “insolvent.”  That’s right—“insolvent.”  They simply have to stop adding “toxic” assets to its balance sheet.  Rickards is not only a best-selling author, but a financial expert the Pentagon calls in to play financial war games.  I kid you not, and don’t think there is not financial war going on right now around the globe on all sides.  Rickards is out with a new book called “The Death of the Money,” and he’ll be on early next week.  You will not want to miss this interview.   Rickards says the next meltdown is on its way, and it will be way worse than 2008. 

One quick shout out to Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook fame.  He called President Obama last week and told him what he thought about the NSA spying.  He said, “engineers work tirelessly to improve security, we imagine we are protecting you against criminals, not our own government.”  Zuckerberg posted this on his Facebook page.  I never thought much about him until now. 

Finally, infomercial pitchman Kevin Trudeau has been convicted of fraud and sentenced to 10 years in prison.  He’s lucky, sentencing guidelines say he could have gotten as much as 25 years.  The FTC also fined Trudeau more than $37 million, which Trudeau never paid according to the court.  While at ABC News, I tried to confront Trudeau over his so-called “Natural Cures” book.  He said he had a cure for cancer, which was totally bogus.  Why am I bringing this up?  If Trudeau can go to jail for 10 years for fraud, why hasn’t a single big banker even been charged for massive crime against this nation.  Money laundering for terrorists, foreclosure fraud, securities fraud, rate rigging, and gold price rigging have all been done by the big banks on a global scale.  Trudeau gets 10 years and big bankers get nothing but a fine, which is paid for, in most cases, by shareholders.  Something is not right with America.

    That is a great cartoon for March Madness. America needs to fix its own problems. We are probably at the point of unfixable anyway. Only thing we can do now, as Americans, is keep reading and prepare accordingly. I see no other way to survive this. When our ‘Leaders?’ are fixing nothing and most Americans, at least 95%, are clueless, then what hope is there really? Better look for the Higher Power….

      Yes, we may be past the point of no return but that doesn’t mean we should call the emergency service vehicles to pick up the pieces at the end of the runway even before we crash. We can do things to now that would make the crash more bearable…not fun, but survivable.

    I think the Ukraine situation is all about the U.S.A convincing Europe to turn their back on Russian Natural Gas and embrace franking en masse on European soil. They have the infrastructure in place to supply Nat Gas and the price is 4 to 8 times higher, then in the U.S. It’d be a great deal for American oil companies.

    Hi Greg,
    I’m not surprised that you received some comments about being ” pro Russian ” but I’m glad you don’t let that deter you. While I never believed that the Crimea was important enough to our national security to risk war over , real war or economic, Orlov’s comments were enlightening. The Crimea is far more important to Russia than it is to us or Europe. If we went to war we obviously would either win or lose. Losing is unthinkable. If we win we would achieve exactly what? Forcing the Crimea into the EU against the will of the vast majority of it’s people. International observers concluded that the referendum was conducted fairly and the result proved that there was no reason for the Russians to even attempt to rig it. Like you I’m pro American and I shudder at the thought of another war that would cost us dearly and gain us nothing.

    James Rickards…he’s the man. Looking forward to that one….please make sure your audio and video are in-sync this time around. Last time was a dreadful disappointment. I know he’s got some important data points to disseminate so hope all is in tune.

    On the matter of jail time for the Banksters….I know and share your frustration….but we have got to remember that the International Bankers are the same tools/agents of their Masters as are the Political and Judicial stalwarts who also act as agents and tools. Nothing will upset that apple cart. That bond is stronger than the security at Fort Knox.

      Don’t mean to disappoint but he interviewed from his rural Conn home. All he has id poor quality satellite. But it was better than his past interviews. While the video quality is not topnotch the content is. Still very worth while and very watchable. I will put him out in a “Early Sunday Release.”

        Coffee is up 70%, hogs are up 42%, and beef is up 5% this year alone. So the consumer is really getting squeezed. This so-called recovery in the U.S. does not look healthy to me at all. And in southern Europe the situation is just getting worse. As an example, things are deteriorating in Spain, Italy, and Greece.

        The drop in some commodity prices such as copper, steel, iron-ore, these are all signs of problems in China. China is slowing down. Steel producers in China are under tremendous pressure, and some are already defaulting on their debt. Of course we already know that there are lots of ghost towns built in various place in China.

        The downturn has already started to affect the rich in China. Prices of luxury properties in Hong Kong are tumbling. These properties have been bought mainly by the Chinese in the last few years. Prices in Hong Kong are down substantially this year. But the Hong Kong property bubble is not just residential, but also retail.

        If you walk around Hong Kong, every block has a major shopping mall full of high end stores, and these stores are all empty. But we are also seeing property bubbles in places like London, where top prices are $150 million which is absolutely ridiculous.

        All of this will lead to a financial implosion, but meanwhile the mainstream media parades out Janet Yellen to tell people all is fine in the world. The Fed just tapered another $10 billion. But what fascinates me, Eric, is that Belgium is now emerging as a major buyer of U.S. Treasury bonds. Belgium has gone from $170 billion of Treasury holdings in September of last year, to $310 billion in January of this year.

        Since nobody in the world wants to buy U.S. Treasury bonds, and the Fed has been the only buyer, can it be that this is a covert form of buying U.S. Treasury bonds by the United States government? It makes no sense that Belgium has purchased that much in U.S. Treasury bonds in the last few months.

    Hi Greg, I always Love your comments. You commented on Kevin Trudeau today. I think it’s more likely that he has found a cure foe Cancer and Big Pharma wants to shut him up so they can continue their rein of terror on the people. They want to systematically poison us with their drugs so they can control us in every way possible. They control the money, the medications, the food, the water, Our physical and Mental Health, so it’s not unreasonable to think that they are controlling people been cured.

    Having said all of that, there are also people out there making claims to cure us when they cannot. The same is true in the financial arena. I think we need to let people make up there own mind on what to believe and not throw them in jail for ” alleged” offences.

    The real people who should be in jail are the bankers, most government officials and Big Pharma.

      I investigated Mr. Trudeau while at ABC News. I think the fraud conviction is legit. In light of what the bankers have done it seems pretty lopsided though. I have no ill will towards Trudeau.

    Thank you for all you do. You do a great a job.
    Just a comment regarding Kevin Trudeau. I don’t know all the specifics so maybe he is guilty of lying. However, I personally know people who successfully defeated cancer by going the natural route. One of my takes is that there is no money to be made in natural cures. There is a lot of money to be made by Big Pharma on prescription drugs, radiation therapy, etc. The government doesn’t want this information to get out. Technically, there is no “cure” for cancer, but there are things you can do naturally to help fight it. Your statement sounded anti-natural solutions. Not sure if that is what you intended.
    Again, I respect you immensely, and this is probably the first time I have ever disagreed with something you said.

      More conspiracy theories on big pharma. If there was something they would be marketing it. Look at melatonin. On the vitamin shelf for years. Big pharma tested it and are marketing a purified form. It wouldn’t matter where the cure came from, if it was there these guys would be selling it.

        500… watch a tv commercial for any drug/pharma company. They list all of the bad things and side affects/ possibly death that can occur from taking it, but the final product is approved/ blessed by the gub…and they all make billions and billions of $$$.

        If we advertised our businesses that way, we would be laughed out of our community and bankrupt beyond belief.

        The earth is about to repel them.

          If you understand how they make you disclose during drug trial, you understand that if someone gets a cold, you have to list. That is why some of the side effects are listed as TB. you and i understand that that is an infection not caused by the drug but there you go.
          Hey, you guys dont have a stockpile of meds when things get bad and we will go back to the dark ages, where people routinely died by age 30.

    I’ve appreciate your website for almost a year now and have occasionally commented. It’s great to get information that you don’t normally find anywhere. I was sad to see Kevin Trudeau go to prison for speaking/writing things that might help some people. I also had a negative view of all his infomercials and that he went beyond the pale.
    Two years ago I had a friend come down with cancer and was given two weeks to live before tossing him out of the hospital because of his inability to pay. I took him in and through circumstance and the help of my sweet wife we found that ordinary baking soda could possibly cure him. We started him with two teaspoon a day and one week later down to one. He was back to work in a month and out of my house shortly there after. He is still kicking around and well as well as many other friends that took my advice. As a matter of fact he gave me KT’s book as a present that had much of the information compiled in it.
    Though I found the book a bit repetitive, I guess it was to make it father, it still had some great information. It’s obvious that some individual who collect a lot of money easily from the system is not likely to be totally honest with the people that they sponge off of.
    What everyone should be weary of is the medical complex that decide what is and what is not medication on the basis of how many millions are payed to them for there approval.
    Yes, tell all those people of your past history that were cured by some individual because they were knowledgeable in the art of plants and there affect.
    When it comes to our health there is a lot that can be said and asked. One can question why so much money is being spent before people are dying. Why entering a hospital is almost a death sentence. Why doctors batting average is not made available and why they pay such high insurance premiums. Why is life expectancy in the US declining is it because pensions can’t continue to pay them if they keep living?

        I have never seen this Kevin T. but nevertheless, I had heard from someone that heating redmill baking soda, w/ maple syrup, would draw the cancer cells to the sugar in maple syrup, and the soda would kill the cells, or the soda causes the body chem. to be more alkline as opposed to acidic. Not sure, BUT, I told a buddy Wilmer M. from la. w/prostrate cancer to do it, and I said do it 3 to 4 times a day, or saturate, and he did and reversed the cancer. I am sure it will not work 100% of times, but neither does advil in my buddy, but tylonel does, and visas versa with me. Advil is my miracle pill, taken with food.— disclaimer….
        may cause bleeding, skin rash, toes to fall off, food allergies, blindness, loss of hair, buggers and bumps on tongue.

          So maple syrup draws the cancer cells to it…I have had way too much chemistry and biology to buy this but to each is own. Below a guy swears an Italian doctor cure cancer with baking soda but they took his medical license to silence him….hahaha
          you are right, you can ikely kill cancer cells by injecting with massive amounts of baking soda but when you change the pH to such a degree to kill the cancer cells you’d kill the patient. A friend of my Momma’s went to mexico to get the peach pit cancer cure that supposed the drug companies wanted to keep off the market. She died a horrid painful death alone when she could have died comfortably surrounded by her friends.
          You can have my share of maple syrup and baking soda…me, I’ll opt for chemo depending on my circumstance or not as my Daddy did

            Having grown up in an area where sap was harvested for maple syrup I will share a few thoughts with all of you.

            It was an incredibly labor intense effort to collect the sap. Timing with nature and patience was necessary. It takes in the neighborhood of 30 gallons of sap to make one gallon of syrup. More if you want the premium #1 grade. (I can’t even imagine how the garbage that they sell as pure maple syrup in the groc. store is watered down.)

            In the old days, it was cooked down over an open fire in a big vessel of some sort and it took forever. Long story short, as a man of the earth, its means and manners, the earth energy spent to get this product makes it incredibly prize and beneficial to your body. You are all smart people, think about that.

            If I was all of you, I would be ratholing as much PURE essential oils as you can and learning how to mix and use it instead of all those big pharma bs pills that Americans so gullibly shove down their throats every day.

            Big pharma has done nothing but copy mother nature and her cures. The answers are all outside the house. Get off the couch and save yourself.

            I still get my syrup from a friend that I grew up with. (2000 mi. away…for now) It is the real thing. I know exactly where it comes from. Like most of the things that I put in my body. I’m about to get even pickier with what goes into it.

            Embrace God and the earth…not the system put in place by evil with malice towards those who DON”T need it.

            Glad he is happy. I said you could have my share of maple syrup. My lovely wife pointed out how much I love that on waffles so I am going to have to retract that offer. Prostrate cancer, with a few exceptions, is one of the slowest growing cancers. In most older men, they dont even treat it, just keep an eye on it.
            one thing that hasn’t been brought up is the placebo effect and the power of the human mind and the power of prayer. I believe in all of these things but I dont believe you can pray your way out of death. When its your time, you’re going to judgement.
            One another note… Are you making any wine or beer? Good nutrition and better trade goods. I even found a website, clawhammer, that will sell you a still kit. After I get the beer and wine going, I will explore getting a permit to distill alcohol for fuel. There are a few neat steam piston engines that can use any fuel, external combustion, closed system that recycles the water for power generation or turning a shaft. My state doesn’t allow home distillation for human consumption just for fuel but I dont know what the paperwork requirements are. Might not be worth it. but I can make two hundred gallons of beer and two gallons of wine per year for personal use. I’ll let you know how I make out.

I do believe that there are natural cures…aspirin from tree bark is one, penicillin is another…the whole orange peel mold deal.             You can ask Al O. that if I find I am wrong, I admit it. However, as cut throat as the pharma is, you’ll never get me to believe that they would not market a proven cure for anything without some kind of proof. The first company that tests it and files the patent makes an boatload.
            With limited patent life, billions lost on dead end drugs that arent effective, and attempts to compete with generic drug do you believe that they wouldn’t market a sure thing for a profit?
            To me that doesn’t pass the smell test.
            Are there cures in nature that we haven’t found yet sure. Are there cures that we knew about and lost. I’d be a buyer of that too. Are there real cures being suppressed that someone could market against their competitors drug? Sorry, I am not buying.

      Why are doctor’s insurance premiums are so high? Because people have babies with birth defects (Shiite happens, shouldn’t have smoked dope and drank while pregnant. ..or bar that things just happen) and they hire a person like Sen. JOHN Edwards to sue and the jury says why the doc has insurance and that its not going to cost him anything so lets give them millions. They are jealous of the doctor’s success anyway.
      There are cases of true medical malpractice and those should be well compensated but I tire of the ambulance chasers. The dems get a lot of money from trial lawyers so when the republicans try to reign in out of control lawsuits, they cant pass it. That’s why a doctor’s insurance premiums are so high

    I didn’t realize that Orlov had such a negative reaction until you commented on it during this news update. I went back and looked at some of the comments and some people were just out to lunch. Nationalism in moderation is fine. Blind nationalism is not and is dangerous as we’ve seen in the past.

    In this country we also get the Pavlov’s dog reaction from some who when you start to criticize this nation or hold it up to the light of day the eyes turn glassy. I wore this nations uniform in the Army for 13 years and took the oath to support, protect and preserve three times and I don’t recognize this nation anymore….it’s a faint shell of what it was. The ideals that this nation was founded upon are noble and the best form of government that God could allow us to have with all the necessary checks and balances in order to restrain the natural human inclinations to be power hungry. My oath required of me to defend the constitution from all enemies both foreign and domestic. My enemy isn’t Russia or Putin today. My enemy and our enemy is a domestic one who has gutted our constitution and has/is turning this once proud and God fearing nation into a police state.

I got some very good nuggets from him, but I can see how some Americans might react negatively. Here is what I wrote back to someone who emailed me and told me I was a “disgrace.” Below is what I wrote back:

      “I am so sorry you feel this way. I try to add all points of view to illustrate and illuminate the enormous problems we face as a country. You think I am a disgrace? How do you feel about HSBC laundering money for terrorists and drug cartels and only being fined by the U.S. government? Isn’t that treason?         Can’t really blame the guy though… full disclosure… I’m a liberal and enjoy some of the MSNBC political evening shows from time to time. The propaganda and one sided coverage of the events in Ukraine (right down to the hit job on RT (they have some very good alternative coverage of world events and “Russia” barely gets mentioned) has been breathtaking (and several of their shows were called out in emails).

        Can only imagine the kind of war mongering the ultra conservative media is offering up about Putin’s sinister invasion (except almost all the troops are stationed in Crimea in a long standing, legal agreement (for a max of 25,000 troops… the “invasion” number is around 18,000, but why let the facts get in the way).

        Anyway, well done… while we are clearly at different ends of the political spectrum, I couldn’t disagree with even one of the points you make here!

    Don’t dump on natural cures for cancer, there are many- watch rifevideo.com, the 2hr doc about Royal Rife and his cure. The powers that be don’t just want everything you have, they want your health as well. There are suppressions of natural therapies littering the landscape, the fact Trudeau is going to jail probably means he was on to information the pharma /med/govn didn’t want exposed. It won’t be the last time, either. I don’t know about his infomercials, but I read his book many years ago and there was a lot of truth in it.

        His big mistake was using the word “cure.” Mineral water has something called cesium-chloride….look it up… it “kills” cancer. and they’ve known about this since the 80’s. only use the word cure if you WANT the FTC and the FDA to knock down your door. here’s a comment I got directly from the head brain surgeon at MD Anderson here in Houston when I asked him about cancer and what can be done to stop it, “when sugar is taken completely away from a tumor it cannot survive when cancer is surrounded by an alkaline environment it cannot survive. now figure it out for yourselves!! sorry for the grammar…..

    The fate of America was sealed on 23-Dec-1913, with the birth of the Federal Reserve System, son of Baron Rothschild who made the prophecy: “Give me control over a nation’s currency and I care not who makes its laws.”

    To understand how and why, I have invented a game called “Racket”. In this game, the bank starts with a pack of 52 cards, which are green and have pretty writing and pictures. The bank then deals them out to 4 gamblers (13 cards each) ON CONDITION THAT the bank gets back 1 card from each gambler every hour (as interest) plus 52 cards (as principle) at the end of the game. To play and get cards, the gamblers must pledge their assets as collateral, which the bank may take if the gambler defaults. At the start of the game, the gamblers are too stupid to see that there are not enough cards to payback both the interest and the principle, but then as they start losing cards (in interest) they start fighting each other for the remaining cards – the modern economy is born!

    But no matter who “wins” during the game, the end result is always the same:
    {1] The longer the game goes on, each interest payment only increases the deficit of cards. Similarly, America’s total debt will always increase with time – unless (of course) they can steal money from another country. This is why all countries eventually go to war – because they need to steal extra cards to pay back the Banksters.
    [2] No matter how good the gamblers individually are, ALL of the gamblers will eventually go bankrupt. Thus even current “winners” of the game like Warren Buffett should see that it is in their best interest to immediately end the game. In other words “End the Fed” is in everybody’s best interest, except the FED.
    [3] The bank will end up owning ALL of the assets of ALL of the gamblers. And this is America’s fate – to descend into tyranny and be owned and controlled by the FED / Bankster cabal.     “AH” you say “but to keep the game going, the bank can hand out extra cards to some of the gamblers – through operations like QE”. Yes indeed, but because all of the cards must still be returned to the bank at the end of the game, all you are doing is extending the time frame of the game, not the end result. Furthermore, with each passing hour the total unpayable debt only accelerates due to the interest compounding on the debt. Thus by using things like QE, the time frame may be extended but the end result is actually much worse.

    As a final complication, suppose the bank can change the game’s rules at any time by changing the interest rate (demanding 2 or 0 cards per hour instead of 1). Dropping interest rates decreases the “debt-stress” and creates asset bubbles in search for yield; while raising interest rates increases the “debt-stress” and creates asset sales and bankruptcy.

    By combining both the levers of money supply AND interest rates, the FED has a very powerful tool indeed. An economic “pump” occurs when the FED both increases money supply and drops interest rates (like the 1920s and today) and an economic “dump” occurs when the FED both reduces money supply and raises interest rates (like the 1930s and next year?). As I have said before, the FED is a criminal organization because (apart from everything else) it regularly uses “pump and dump” to make enormous profits for both themselves and their front-running mates. The fact that JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs and the others have all made money from “market operations” every month for the last 60 months proves that the whole financial system and its regulation are just one giant crime scene!

    That said, I do NOT believe that the FED expected the timing of the 2008 GFC, because one of the FED members (Lehman Bros) went broke and many of the others required significant bailouts from the tax-payer.

    But the FED has definitely now set up America for the “end game”, by doing these six things: [1] Using QE and zero interest rates to pump the economy and buy extra time; and [2] Using this extra time to buy all the bad assets from the CFR / Bankster members; and [3] Using the extra time to establish the NSA, DHS, FEMA camps, gun control etc to prepare for their take-over; and [4] Using zero interest rates to drain the middle class of their savings and force them back into speculative assets; and [5] Creating an end result that will be so bad that America will accept any tyranny as their “saviour”, and [6] Making ready the FED / CFR / Bankster cabal to take over all functions and assets of the Government.

    Without a “Black Swans”, the game can actually continue for as long as the dollar remains strong, with respect to all other currencies and gold, which is the ultimate barometer. Gold soaring with a dollar collapse would result in countries holding gold becoming the winners (Russia, China, India and Europe). So my trigger is the US dollar – and as soon as it starts to collapse, I expect the FED / CFR / Banksters will move to protect their “dollar assets” by crashing all markets, causing a massive deflationary spiral and then calling in their (unpayable) debts, thereby taking-over America.

    Not sure if I understood your comment that Yellen isn’t to blame for the market sell off.
    The market didn’t sell off because of perceptions that interest rates were going up- In fact, she promised she will keep them “lower for longer” than previously thought.
    The reason the market “sold off” was that she gave a time table for stopping QE in 6 months time. This market rises and falls with the Fed.

Just wanted to point out the cabal that owns the banks/markets/govn owns it all and brings disinformation in all areas through their owned mainstream media, but I know this is widely known.     Actually, the cure for cancer is quite simple … don’t get it in the first place. You can avoid getting cancer in the first place by eating “fresh” vegetables and free-ranged protein meats — fresh food, unadulterated by corporate greed (ie. unprocessed, un-pesticided, un-herbacided, un-GMOed). Drink clean non-chlorinated and non-fluoridated non-medicated water. Move your body daily as it was designed to do and avoid chronic stress. That is the cure for cancer.

    This is the problem, and I am not criticizing you, its just that people just do not appear to have it within them to deal with what is going on, they cant handle just looking at our situation honestly for more than 10 freakin’ minutes, when what is required is for them to deeply focus on this shit for hours and hours and hours at a crack…..people should be absolutely obsessed with what is going on and what is being done to them, because the folks running the show are totally committed to a point beyond obsession. We just dont stand a chance if we cannot at least show the stamina it takes to stare this thing in the face long enough to even just honestly acknowledge the reality of our situation here and where the fuck we are headed!

    Of course as you might surmise my own efforts to persuade people to look at what is going on has driven most away, I mean I even make my own mother cry when I confront her with this shit….but its gotta be done, people have to speak with the conviction, fervor and frequency that reflects the truth of the situation we are in because our would be masters thrive upon our reluctance to acknowledge what is being done, they find cover in our timid hesitation to see what is right in front of our face for Gods sake! It is our inclination to be moderate to the point of negligence that continues to embolden them. Make no mistake, there can be no compromise made with those who seek absolute power, and there are many very powerful people in this world doing just that!

    I believe that we are all going to be held accountable for what we know, if our words and our actions betray what it is that we have come to know by the grace of God than we truly are our own worst enemy and will suffer under the tyranny of our own ignorance for time without measure.

Orlov’s view of what is going on in Russia and Ukraine are important because we need to know what’s going on over there and we aren’t getting the real story from our MSM. My wife and I have about $500,000 seating on the sidelines in the money market at one percent . Our financial advisor has always been putting pressure on us to get back into the market. I personally have taken losses shorting the S&P 500 and the Russell 2000. It would be very enlightening if you could find a guest who could explain why the market continuingly goes up. I have a hard time believing that it is just simply buy the dip mentality. Is it government prevention that actual causes plunge protection? Why does the S&P 500 continually rise even though the Federal Reserve is tapering 10 billion a month? Why does the market go up when Yellen announces interest rates rise in six months? Is it just a computer program behind the curtain?
    I was working for an upper Microsoft client a few weeks ago. He told me that Microsoft’s profits are based upon investments. Profits are based upon QE. When QE is taken away I foresee quarterly profits declining due to lack of free money. Can you explain why the free-market does not understand this. Strange times we live in.

But, if you look at interest rate lows after the first tops, 2.48, 2.48 (a narrow time displaced double bottom), 2.58, 2.60, 2.62 on support side, a wedge pattern is showing higher lows, with a cap at 3%. Down trends from the second and last 3.06% top, have been broken three times, and now back to 2.78. No expert here, but does not TA suggest a 3% break out to the upside? 3 taps, and you’re out, and if it approaches 3% again, it may just fall, and with that, the western world as we know it.

    With interest rates rising, triple deficits, falling participation, and econ rolling over, the question becomes, will popular sentiment shut down QE resulting in immediate econ devastation, or will it lead to another (and last) round of QE, for one more huge kick of the can, (and they will go big, if they do), until the poo start flying?

    Several Gold Heavies believe that first will come a short econ down turn, (taper is in), but the ship is clearly sinking, and then come the NEWK on the dollar, and tens of trillions in QE come in the last ditch econo defense, or better put, the final assault on the dollar, (self inflicted due mostly to run away totalitarian social spending, then leading toward international settlement in gold. They took us all down the paved road, learning nothing about what Freedom (from government) really means, or why the soviet union failed. No matter how much political pandering used to cement political power, any society that attempt to REWARD every non-productive act possible, is utterly doomed to fail.

    Judges, Politicians and Lawyers (the driving force) should be shot in the streets as the dirty totalitarian socialistic fascist pigs they truly are for destroying our belief and practice in founding father principles.

    With the NY Comex being leveraged, say for example, 100 to 1, with 8000 tons, would be, would it not 800,000 tons of paper gold, not to mention all the gold of western fiat printers. That’s allot of paper gold, say, 5,000,000 tons, which one might consider infinite, and if so, the event looked for is not physical over running paper, but lost of confidence in the $. Sinclair may have had it right from day one. Its the dollar, and thus, its interest rates. So, the leverage is the game, and the USD con in the shame.

    The petro-dollar is a red herring screeched by news letter writers for apparent self-interest, but it does sound horrific, to think soldiers died just for it, even if intellectually fun to read, being full of international intrigue, but, curiously, and please please do tell, how does one actually “isolate” their customers? And how do you place more demand on any fungible currency with global fiat convertibility?

    For days since primortal times, governments and their domestic corporations of a country, have tried to corner markets, plunder other nations, and in so doing, it does tend to strengthen that country, as a whole. Governments and Businesses have been walking the same line for eons, in this regard. Nothing new there, but most wont just move along, but rather paint all government motives as propping up corporations for nefarious purposes. There is some truth to it. But to suggest that US entire motive is to steal oil, and to take foreign lands, is rather a shallow view.

    Bottom line, Putin took Crimea, and Iraq is not the 51st state. Can anyone see the difference?

    As time goes on, focus may be had, if you are really trying to figure it out, generally. The US must print to maintain the welfare state, and that mean printing more dollars, but interest rates would be a fiscal cliff, and so, the natural consequence of which is a falling dollar, risking loss of confidence, and hence, bullion, interest rates, and USDX manipulations, a necessary skill for any serious US bankster.

    Military spending by the US has been in play since day one, so that is not new, nor a direct driver. Petro-dollar and Over-running physical pressure are also not the real drivers here as to the POG, but rather unaffordable and unsustainable US social engineering and the resulting enslavement as tax mules, perpetual debtors, and state dependents, necessitating huge fiat over printing. If you want to complain about bullion manipulations, be real, and focus your blame where it belongs, otherwise ya might just be screeching in vain. One man’s opinion, I could be right.

      I do grow tired of the conspiracy theories that abound on our desires of Iraq oil. Anyone can see that while we were there we didnt steal any oil or even get any lucrative long term contracts.

    Great week at the “watch dog” of very informative interviews with Willie,Sinclair and Olov and good summary in the wrap up. In the list of banker malfeasance drug money laundering was left out but with so many crooked schemes going on it’s easy to understand why.

    It is unfortunate we all feel the need to defend our criticism of those running government and the economy for their own ends as also not tied to a critique of the nation as a whole. The American people are generally a warm hearted and caring group, just like most people in other nations and cultures. The same cannot be said for the grasping, greedy and genocidal over class of America. Some people cannot seem to separate the two in their minds and in knee jerk reaction to criticism of the elites demand a caveat that the critique is not also of the nation, citing “patriotism” as a prerequisite for the right to criticize. These demanders of oath and fealty fail to recognize their own inner censorship and brainwashing ingrained in them by the over class and it’s societal constructs since childhood. I see these “patriots” as a big part of the problem and tell them so when they challenge my right to voice my opinion as possibly being unpatriotic.I am not patriotic to any nation but only to the idea of that which is proper and moral. If the nation is proper and moral I will support it, if not I condemn it. Ultimately the people of a nation must answer for the crimes committed in that nation’s name as unfair as this may seem when it is the over class committing these crimes….but with the people’s complicity. The U.S. led west kicked the hornets nest when they thought they could take over Ukraine in a Brzezinski inspired “grand chess board” move with a regime change that was almost thwarted by diplomacy and required the shooting deaths of over seventy Persons to upset that deal and complete the coup d’etat. This was wrong and is considered a crime under international law to meddle in the affairs of other nations for one’s own interests. Russia of course had to respond in their own interests and cannot be blamed for doing so under the circumstances. Russia has the moral high ground such as it is while the Americans behind this debacle should be facing criminal charges. The American people have been complicit in crimes against humanity by not demanding with whatever it takes a change in foreign policy attitude.     Passover is April 15th. I’m thinking the missing 777 makes an appearance in Israel. My concern beyond this is that America will be too busy with it’s own distraction to be of assistance to our friends in the middle east. I am concerned about the possibility of Emps (Electro-magnetic pulse) being employed against our country on or before this event. It would shut us down as a nation as well as ceasing our communication ability with our allies. Our financial situation hangs in the balance and Iran, North Korea and Russia are active members of a large group of people who would benefit from our being distracted even if the threat against Israel does not happen. There just seems to be too many pieces to to many puzzles left undone for them not to be connected.

    Jim Rickards will come closer than most, but still will not hit the nail on the proverbial head. The problem is a structural one, but far deeper than most even realize. Here’s the problem in a nutshell: people worship money. Everything’s valued in money, and everyone who worships money cannot imagine living life without it. It’s all based on having something other people want, because money is valued only in a society dependent on trade, because money is only a medium FOR exchange; or “trade”. If you don’t trade then money has no value to you. Everyone who DOES TRADE wants the advantage in every trade they make, in other words; a profit (THEY WANT TO SELL IT TO SOMEONE ELSE FOR MORE THAN THEY PAID FOR IT), or at least the best deal possible when they want to consume it. Put simply, to benefit self most, and at the cost to others.
    So who makes the most profit? Those who make the money and enslave those who want it; the bankers and lawmakers.
    But Life does not consist in the amount of or monetary value of the things one possesses. All the world pursues money and the things it can buy (power and control over others) because money is the god of this world. But Life isn’t about money or power or control, and few realize that before they face death.
    No matter how full your barn is, or how many barns you build to store your “wealth” for yourself, your quality of life in terms of living a fulfilled life has little to do with THAT.

    Another important note regarding the global financial crisis is the quarterly report that the Bank of England just released – Money Creation In The Modern Economy. In the report and associated video they explain that money is created when a loan is made and that paying back a loan destroys money. So money is created out of nothing. It seems to me G 500 says what a gov’n agency would like to hear. I had a patient who was the elite of the elite over in Iraq guarding the oil! Cheney and company had already divided the country up oil wise to who gets what before we went in. Chemo has a VERY low success rate except for about 3 types of cancer. My question these days is, how many times can an oncologist prescribe chemo that he(or she) knows has failed repeatedly before you call him a murderer. If G500 wants chemo give it to him, but lets cut to the chase… it doesn’t work due to the fact it kills people as well as the cancer. As an aside, cancer thrives on sugar, it sucks it up.     In 2000, the fed fund rate broke 4% heavily to the down side, which was the signal to start buying. PM Brown gold sale was the confirmation.

    And when the interest rates start to seriously pick up, and exceed that rate, it would be time to kick it, and ride the wildest ride of our life times, so as to be in position to catch most of a really big move in gold, and the intentional trashing of the FRN, led by the co-conspirators, JPM-China. Until then, FED agent JPM and China will continue to suppress the gold price, so all them billion chinese can buy cheap gold, empowering China at the expense of the USA. And busting of the FRN in favor of gold, is the only real hope of restoring our freedoms from government, honest money, and honest markets. Just one man’s opinion, I could be right.

    Great interviews this week. Just a thought. If Russia blocks evac routes through Russian territory of NATO military forces out of Aftganistan. More than likely Natoforces would be airlifted out. They still have armor and air support for all operations. That is not the full story. I think there are a massive amount of Blackwater type mercenaries in Aftganistan if NATO troops were to be emergency and quickly pulled out of Aftganistan, this may not include the civilian mercenaries. After NATO leaves, the Blackwater boys have no air support, no armor, no massive helo transport. They will be stuck there and subject to fighting their way out of a country they abused for years, with no US military support. Payback is a B.

Both men write weekly blogs about the decline of Western civilization and suggest ways of minimizing impacts and how society can rebuild after the collapse. I would also recommend the X22 daily news report on youtube for similar content.

      Cheating death

      Sydney Morning Herald – December 30, 2000
      Cancer sufferers have died after putting their faith in a device with electrical parts worth just $15. Ben Hills reports.The doctor said he might not see Christmas. It was the winter of 1996 and David Carpenter, a 69-year-old retired railway worker, had inoperable cancer of the prostate gland. He had been sent home to die in the village of Geurie, on the western plains of NSW, in the fibro cottage where he lived with his wife of nearly half a century, Madge, and his son, Des. As the disease inexorably advanced, he took to his bed.Flicking through Nexus, an alternative magazine published from Mapleton, Queensland, which features articles on UFOs, miracle cures and conspiracy theories, Des saw an advertisement headlined “Rife Technology”.

      Underneath was this claim: “A brilliant new Walkman-style personal therapy system, offers a comprehensive range of frequencies from common colds and flu to the most serious debilitating and degenerative diseases, including arthritis and cancer.”

      Des rang the 1800 number in the ad and was assured that not only would the device, called a Personal Electro Therapy or PET machine, treat his father’s cancer, but it could be tuned to frequencies that would cure his own chronic fatigue syndrome and his mother’s arthritis. “I wouldn’t normally fall for something like this, but you have to understand we were desperate,” says Des. He and his mother borrowed money against their invalid pensions and sent $1,425 to a company called Electromed (Australia) Pty Ltd, which sent them a small black box decorated with flashing lights, some wiring, two nylon pads and a copy of a book,The Cancer Cure that Worked – Fifty Years of Suppression, by an American “investigative journalist”, Barry Lynes.

      At first it did appear to work. With daily applications of the pads to his abdomen, David’s cancer went into remission, he regained his appetite, got up and threw away the pills his doctor had given him. Des even wrote Electromed a testimonial to the “miracle cure”.

      But then the cancer returned with a vengeance, spreading to other parts of David’s body. By the following August, Madge and Des were burying him in the Dubbo cemetery. He had become another victim of a device that has been branded in America as “health fraud in its darkest form” – one of at least four people, including a child of five, who have died in Australia and New Zealand after giving up conventional therapy for treatment with Rife machines.

      A Herald investigation has uncovered a cottage industry in Australia promoting these devices for treating the most lethal illnesses, including cancer, leukaemia and AIDS. Two companies are manufacturing and selling them, and at least a dozen clinics, some operated by qualified doctors, offer Rife therapy at up to $80 an hour to desperately ill patients. There are about 60 Internet sites devoted to the devices and innumerable books and magazine articles.

      The most-publicised death to date was that of Liam Williams-Holloway, a child on New Zealand’s South Island, who was being treated with radiotherapy at a hospital in Dunedin for cancer of the jaw. Last year, there was a public uproar when the boy was taken from the hospital by his parents and treated with a Rife machine at the Rainbow Health Clinic in Rotorua.

      The boy died in a Rife clinic in Tijuana, Mexico, after his parents sold their house and embarked on a futile round-the-world search for an “alternative” cure. Liam’s former doctor, Michael Sullivan, a pediatric oncologist at the Dunedin hospital, said he would have had a “60 to 70 per cent chance” of a cure with conventional therapy and said he had other patients who had been reduced to “a horrendous condition” by the “therapy”.

      Although unanimously condemned as worthless by mainstream scientists and banned in at least two American States, the highly profitable Rife industry is flourishing in Australia because of a lack of effective regulation, says John Dwyer, the head of medicine at Prince Henry and Prince of Wales teaching hospitals in Sydney. He blames this on “buck-passing” among no fewer than five government agencies supposedly responsible for protecting health consumers (see “Nothing to do with us, say agencies”) which have failed to act against promoters of Rife machines and other “cures” he regards as quackery.

      The device was invented a century ago by Albert Abrams (1864-1924), an American physician who became a millionaire and was branded by the American Medical Association “the dean of gadget quacks”. His theory was that every medical condition was caused by an organism that had a specific frequency – by building a machine to generate and beam that frequency back into the body it would be destroyed, much as an opera singer can shatter a glass.

      His research was refined by a Californian pathologist, Raymond Royal Rife (1888-1971), and a New Mexico chiropractor, James Bare, who drew up tables giving the frequency of 30,000 organisms they said caused every condition from dandruff to leprosy, strokes and syphilis. AIDS, for instance, is said to be cured by a frequency of 2,489 kilohertz in as little as three three-minute sessions.

      Electronics Australia magazine, which has been campaigning against the gadgets, analysed one and found that it consisted of a nine-volt battery, some wiring, a switch, a timer and two short lengths of copper tubing – components worth about $15. The electrical current delivered was “almost undetectable” and unlikely even to penetrate the skin, let alone kill any organism.

      After falling out of fashion, the devices have been revived in the United States over the past 20 years, promoted in conjunction with an early edition of the Lynes book. Later editions contain an appendix entitled “The Exploiters” in which Lynes says: “Sadly, in most cases, the cancer patients lost precious time – three or four months – before recognising that they had been swindled in a clever marketing scheme. People died because they had faithfully used the worthless black box instead of orthodox or alternative, non-conventional cancer therapies which actually worked.”

      In Australia, the first known Rife device was built about 1989 by Geoffrey Charles Baker, 47, of Terrigal, a former CSIRO researcher with no medical qualifications who says he spent $3 million over seven years developing it. Baker told the Heraldhe built the device with the help of the executor of Rife’s estate and it “saved my life” when he suffered a prolonged illness from mercury poisoning.

      Baker has been selling the devices – he would not say how many – since the early 1990s. At first he was in partnership with a now-bankrupt “herbalist, numerologist and astrologer” named Eilleen Whittaker, who claims to have cured Kim Basinger’s dog Bee-Bop of leukaemia. In more recent years Baker has been a principal of Electromed, the company that sold Des Carpenter his PET machine.

      Baker admitted that, with no acceptable scientific evidence, he had been advertising that PET machines could treat arthritis and “recurrent viral or bacterial infections”. But he denied he ever claimed it could cure cancer.

      That is not how a number of people remember it. Carpenter says Baker provided him with a machine “specifically tuned” to treat his father’s cancer. Greg Ray, chief-of-staff of the The Newcastle Herald, quoted Baker in 1993 as claiming his machine would “rid Australia of cancer” – an article Baker never challenged. In a tape-recorded speech Baker gave the same year to a patients’ group on the Central Coast he makes clear and repeated references to curing cancer.

      Baker also claims in his advertising material that his machine has been “tested” by the Therapeutic Goods Administration, the Federal agency in charge of medical devices. The TGA denies this. It says the PET machine had been “listed” – but never tested for effectiveness – in 1996, but that listing was cancelled last April.

      Herald: What would you say to people (like Carpenter) who would say that you are a quack who is encouraging people to give up legitimate therapy in exchange for expensive treatment by a bogus machine ?

      Baker: I’m sorry, but they are entitled to their opinion and you are entitled to yours.

      One of the clinics offering “Bare-Rife Therapy” is Complementary and Ecological Medicine, which operates from offices on the Pacific Highway in St Leonards.

      On its Web site it says: “While we offer no ‘cure’ for cancer, there are treatment options available today which can increase life expectancy and life quality.”

      It then gives three case histories of cancer patients said to have been treated with the clinic’s Rife machine: a woman of 53 suffering from non-Hodgkins lymphoma, now pronounced “free of cancer”; a woman of 27 with a tumour of the neck and chest, who had been given only days to live but survived and returned to work; a man of 64 now apparently cured of prostate cancer.

      The clinic’s director, Pauline Rose, who has no medical degree, could cite no peer-reviewed, double-blind clinical trials to support these claims and said treatment with her New Zealand-manufactured Rife machine was “experimental”. Her cancer patients had continued with conventional therapy, so she had no idea what caused the “cures” – “Did the power of prayer cure her? I don’t know.”

      In the US, two States, Wisconsin and Minnesota, have taken tough action to put Rife machine operators out of business. In one case, Shelvie Rettmann, of Prior Lake, Minnesota, was fined $US100,000 ($178,800), ordered to refund money to all her patients and banned from the health care industry after two people she was treating with a Rife machine died of cancer.

      Attorneys-general of the two States issued a public warning that the therapy amounted to “health quackery at its worst” and said: “The bottom line … is that [Rife] devices have no value for diagnosing or treating anything.”

      In Australia, says Dwyer – who has examined one of the machines and found it medically worthless – nothing has been done to put Rife operators out of business, or to warn the public of the dangers.

      “Regulatory authorities and politicians tend to put the problems associated with false advertising into the too-hard basket,” he says. “Medical boards, health complaints commissions, even the Therapeutic Goods Administration, all want to pass the buck to each other when it comes to investigating and prosecuting this dangerous anti-science.”

      Four months after he received an official complaint, the NSW Minister for Fair Trading, John Watkins, has promised to assign a senior investigator to see whether promoters of the Rife machines should be challenged to justify the claims made for them.

      But that, of course, is too late for the grieving family of David Carpenter.

      Nothing to do with us, say agencies

      Cheryl Freeman, a nurse from Dudley, near Newcastle, has been campaigning against Rife machines – and other bogus medical devices – for several years. “I am just sick of the run-around I have been getting … No-one seems to be interested in protecting sick and vulnerable people,” she says.

      She originally wrote to the NSW Health Care Complaints Commission which is charged with protecting patients against medical malpractice.

      The commission replied that it “only investigates those complaints it considers most significant in terms of the issues facing the overall health system” such as “alleged sexual misconduct”. It passed her complaints to the NSW Medical Board and the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).

      The medical board wrote to Freeman that because of recent changes to its legislation “the board no longer has the power to deal with unregistered persons who advertise cures and offer cancer treatments”.

      So whom could she go to? “It is not yet clear who will be responsible for prosecuting these matters in future,” the board said.

      The ACCC said that it had recently taken action against bogus medical devices including Giraffe World’s “negative ion mat”, a laser hair-removal clinic, and the Raylight “parasite zapper” that claimed to cure AIDS.

      However, the commission said it would not act against Rife machine promoters and suggested Freeman contact her local consumer protection agency.

      She wrote to the Department of Fair Trading in July but, four months after the complaint was referred to its “rapid response and assessments branch”, Freeman had heard nothing until the Herald took up the case.

      Finally, she wrote to the Therapeutic Goods Administration, which is responsible for regulating all medical devices sold in Australia. Make that used to be. “Electronic health devices were excluded from the TGA’s control” in 1998, wrote the agency. It suggested she contact the ACCC.

    Thanks for another incredible weekly wrap up. I agree with the point you make about Trudeau. He was a little naive to think he could claim a cure on anything. That is a big “no-no” in this country. When some claims a cure they are starting a war with big pharma. It is frustrating to see so many people using the chemo bullet for cancer and down right sickening when you add up how many millions go to support cancer foundations. If you look at their operating budgets you will see most of the money donated is spent on advertising the disease not curing it.

    The truth is, it is hard to reclaim your health once you have lost it. I believe natural remedies can be used to assist the body in healing disease. I have experienced it and I have met a few people that have healed their body of cancer. It wasn’t with a special device or pill. It was a life changing spiritual, mental, emotional, and, physical commitment to live according to our god-given natural laws.

    Many people do not have the discipline to walk the path necessary for healing.

    There are no cures. The body heals itself. Don’t believe me? Cut your hand and see what happens. To heal any illness the body has to be removed from the cause of “dis-ease” (Toxic food, toxic environment, negative relationships, and etc)

    Natural remedies are sacred compliments to aid in healing the body but they do not cure, they help bring the body back into balance. It is impossible to heal disease without healing the physical, emotional, and spiritual bodies of the human being. If this does not prove a divine power is working….I don’t know what could prove otherwise.

      That is so true Nichole. I had acid reflux for 11 years and even the pills I took everyday did not help much. I started taking digestive enzymes and I was CURED instantly. That was 5 years ago and now I can eat almost anything with no problem.
