$250 Oil & 11% Inflation, Worst Case in 2026 – Ed Dowd

Wall Street money manager and financial analyst Ed Dowd of PhinanceTechnologies.com warned at the beginning of April that the economy was already rolling over. He said “Private Credit Problems are Ending the Party.” Just 10 days ago, Black Rock and other firms with so-called private credit are locking up investors’ cash because of a wave of redemptions. Dowd predicted this, and the sagging economy is not going to be getting any better anytime soon. If you thought private credit was a drag on the economy, then the Iran war is going to be a boat anchor. Dowd says, “The longer this situation persists, the likelihood of oil drifting higher is going to happen. We have two scenarios, and one is oil peaks out at $125, and this gets resolved by May. Inflation would peak around 5%. . .. We are at the point now, if this does not get resolved soon, oil prices could continue to drift higher. . .. We have a second scenario where we get $200 to $250 a barrel oil, which was our worst-case scenario. If that happens, inflation will peak out at around 11% by our models. . ..”
Martin Armstrong said two weeks ago that gasoline prices could go to $9 a gallon. Dowd agrees with Armstrong and says you might get $10 a gallon gas in a worst-case scenario. Dowd adds, “I see oil going a lot higher, which will cause a tremendous amount of demand destruction and a recession that I think is coming anyway. It will be even deeper than we have forecasted. It will cause layoffs and economic growth to go into recessionary territory. The prices of commodities will collapse as deflation sets in. The solution to high commodity prices is high commodity prices because it creates demand destruction.”
So, what’s the Fed going to do? Dowd thinks, “The Fed could raise rates to combat the headline inflation. My best guess is they do nothing at the June FMOC meeting. They are certainly not going to cut until they see the economic growth slowing. . .. Depending on this war . . . the real part of this economy, housing, is not doing well and rolling over. We are just waiting on the AI bubble to finally burst . . . we are close to that topping out soon.”
Dowd is still bullish on gold and silver long term, but short term, it may get sold off to raise cash like Turkey just did. Silver will have stronger headwinds than gold given the deflation that is coming. Dowd does not see China’s economic woes getting any better. Dowd predicted China’s economic problems months ago, and Wall Street is just now catching up on the bad news. Dowd says, “China had 8% negative growth in the first quarter.”
Dowd goes into a deep dive on the severe economic problems facing China. Dowd points out big problems in housing and says it’s cheaper to rent a house than to own one. Dowd also predicts the Fed will be forced to cut interest rates in early 2027 because the deflation will be so severe.
In closing, Dowd says, “This is the normal credit cycle. The credit cycle is old and aging, and we are seeing the credit cycle get chinks in the armor with the private credit situation, which is effectively frozen. This was credit growth that happened in 2024 and 2025.”

I read an article in the Associated Press by Ben Finley that it will take three years to replenish our stockpiles of three advanced weapons: Tomahawk Cruiser Missiles, and Patriots and THAD interceptors to protect against incoming missiles.
According to reports I’ve read, we use missiles that cost $1 Million dollars to take out Iranian drones that cost $30,000. (It appears that America is going broke fighting that war. No wonder Americans are upset. Not only with the costs of living going up, but the expensive war with Iran that is increasing our deficit). There must be a way to destroy Iran’s stockpiles of weapons, instead of using up our expensive weapons on that fight over the Strait of Hormuz. Perhaps we should let the countries that rely on Hormuz to protect their interests, even though we started the war. But that would really upset them. It appears that the only way we can get loose of that quagmire is to destroy Iran’s stockpiles of weapons, instead of depleting our weapons and going broke in the process. Linda
Add ‘l Comment re Iran War. I wonder if it would be possible to dig a hole down under the structures where the weapons are stored, run a pipe or hose into the caves and fill them up with poison gas. It would probably cause harm to the ground, but so do bombs. People residing above ground would have to evacuate, but the US cannot continue this tit-for-tat : our million dollar weapons against Iran’s $30K drones. I have come to the conclusion that if we have any hope of ending that Iran war it would mean taking

My friend was looking to sell his ranch a couple years ago and so many prospective people turned down the offer once they were aware of the amount of property taxes they would be paying into it. I drive 90 miles on a regular basis with my truck for work and the gas is really eating into my savings. Lately the news reads like a long list of cracks in the world’s foundation — scandals, betrayals, institutions failing, people hoarding wealth as if that could buy safety. Those headlines sting because they’re not just stories; they’re symptoms. They point to a deeper spiritual reality the Bible has been describing for centuries.
When we look at those signs through Scripture, the confusion clears. The Bible doesn’t leave us guessing. It names the problem, shows the outcome, and points to the cure.
The thief and the Shepherd — a clear contrast
Jesus put it bluntly: “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” — John 10:10.
That line is the spiritual diagnosis. The thief’s work is visible in every age: stealing trust, killing hope, destroying communities. It’s the engine behind greed, corruption, and the moral rot we see in high places.
But Jesus didn’t stop there. He immediately set the opposite before us: the Good Shepherd who lays down his life for the sheep, who seeks the lost, who protects and restores. Modern events through prophetic lenses — Daniel 2:44 and company
Daniel’s vision gives us the big picture. He saw human kingdoms rise and fall like statues of different metals, and then he saw a stone — God’s Kingdom — that grows and crushes those kingdoms and stands forever. “In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed.” — Daniel 2:44.
That prophecy explains why human systems fail the way they do. They are temporary, mixed with weakness and pride, like iron mixed with clay.

IF one has room and can find clean fodder-alfalfa-grass hay might buy it …and can also use it to barter with ranchers for their meat or help them gather enough feed to keep them and their herds viable thru this. STRAINS of cattle need to be maintained…one can not just sell off and start later…some of the bulls, cow- calfs have to be maintained to rebuild the herd later…so this is your chance to HELP in your local areas.

So. one has to ask…are the polar plunges from the N and S poles becoming MORE sever? Are the rain cycle becoming more like ‘atmospheric rivers, rarer but then all at once more sever floods? Are the dams and rivers drying up in some places and shifting and filling up other areas? Are the poles getting smaller but thicker or larger and needing more ice-breakers to keep open? Are there more or less volcanic eruptions and earthquakes because of the stress on the tectonic plates? And does those shifts of ice and water have any effect of say the spin of the earth wobble? and IF so, with the centrifugal force of that spin…and the earth being what 25ish miles wider at the equator…what would happen if the earth tilted a bit…and some area caom up out of the water while other submerged and where would that make the coastlines be? hmmm JUST SAY’N! Oregon: Initiative Petition 28 Threat to Hunting, Fishing, and Outdoor Heritage One Step Closer to Reality
The criminalization of hunting and fishing is one step closer to a reality in Oregon.
As of today, proponents of Oregon Initiative Petition 28 have submitted more than 120,000 signatures to the Oregon Secretary of State. The statutory requirement to qualify for the November 2026 ballot is 117,173 valid signatures. The signatures still must undergo verification by elections officials before the measure is officially certified for the 2026 general election ballot.
IP 28 will effectively criminalize ordinary hunting, fishing, ranching, pest control, veterinary, and agricultural activities.
IP 28 carries jail time and fines, and subjects’ hunters & anglers to misdemeanor and felony charges – for simply catching a fish or harvesting wildlife such as a deer or duck.
In addition to protecting the Second Amendment, the NRA has long supported safe and responsible firearm use through hunter education programs nationwide. In Oregon, NRA’s Hunter safety education course has trained countless new hunters in firearm safety, ethics, and conservation principles at no cost to the state.
These programs help preserve Oregon’s outdoor traditions while promoting responsible stewardship of wildlife and natural resources. IP 28 threatens not only hunting and fishing opportunities, but also the future of youth outdoor education, family traditions, and rural communities that depend on outdoor recreation and agriculture.
Right now, IP28 is still a proposed initiative, and the signatures must be certified by the Secretary of State before it becomes an official measure for the ballot this November.
Oregon gun owners, hunters, anglers, and conservationists must stay informed and engaged as this initiative moves forward. The fate of Oregon’s outdoor heritage depends on it!

I am looking at the news and see this disturbing article. The latest demon politician pretending to be Christian while blaspheming Jehovah and His Holy Son, Jesus. Most of the Demoncrats I come in contact with who claim Christ’s mantle of Salvation lead lives that show they wear Christianity like an ill fitting suit. You don’t have to spend a lot of time investigating or doing a forensic audit. They wear their hedonism like a badge of honor.
Look, o acknowledge I am a sinner. A most unworthy and flawed servant of the Most High GOD, Jehovah.
And Talarico isn’t even attempting to paper over his deviancy. He blasphemes the Holy Spirit and Jesus promoting Jesus as a sexual deviant. He believes parents have the right to mutilate their minor children’s genitalia. He pushes Veganism and every other position that is contrary not only to Christ, but to everything real Texans believe.
You have to ask how Demons like this get elected in Texas or any other conservative Christian majority state. That answer is simple. They cheat, they lie and most of all, they have the support of the unthinking, emotionally damaged mindless minions of Satan our current public school system and higher educational system produce.
It doesn’t take a DOGE audit to show what is destroying America. We Christians have seen it for a while but we have not rallied against it like we should. LBJ dealt the moral normal Black families in America a death blow. One of his most famous quotes, one the demons try to pretend didn’t happen is, “I’ll have those n*****s voting Democratic for the next 200 years”. Basically, LBJ incentivized sloth and having babies. Carter, another demon with the mantle of respectability, brought the Department of “Education” into being. The last thing this department did was educate. It was a tool to inculcate the young while they were impressionable, filling the vacuum of parents caused by the reduced wages for real jobs.
Damn, looking back at this evil, even I have to admire the sheer scope and longevity of this massive Satanic master plan. Nikita Khrushchev, let the cat out of the bag and we ignored it just as the media misled the public about Republican senator Joseph R. McCarthy‘s anti communist campaign. These communists MF’ers are still hiding in plain sight in Hollyweird but the highest concentrations are in the Federal bureaucracy, followed by State bureaucracy.

President Trump is worthy of our support. He’s a good man and Jehovah’s anointed. While every other politician MAKES there fortune in Congress or the Presidency, Trump paid (lost a true fortune) to serve America.
