Eventual Financial Death Spiral Now Imminent – John Rubino

Analyst and financial writer John Rubino warned nearly four months ago of a “U.S. Financial Death Spiral.” This past week, Bank of America caught up to Rubino and issued a warning about a “US dollar death spiral” because the federal government was going deeper in the red by creating “$1 trillion in new debt every 100 days.” Maybe this is why gold and Bitcoin have been hitting new all-time highs day after day. Rubino says, “When a building was worth $200 million and someone sells it for $48 million, that means there is a loss that someone has to take. Those losses are mostly on the books of regional and local banks. So, they are in big trouble financially. . . . You will get these massive bank runs that the government will have to step in and bail out. This is one of many things that will happen in the not-so-distant future. This will impact government finances in a scary way that will send people’s attention to the currency. In other words, if we have another $3 trillion bailout on top of everything else that’s going on . . .what is that going to do to the dollar? . . . . Currencies are being inflated away with all these bailouts, deficits, wars and all these things that are going on that are bad for the currency. So, people start selling government bonds, which push up interest rates and blows up even more bad real estate and paper . . . until you get a debt spiral, a real live financial death spiral than cannot be fixed. . . . I was talking to a real estate guy the other day, and he said this is not just inevitable, it is imminent. It is happening now. It is happening quickly, and it is going to hit the headlines. . . . In this case, what is inevitable in commercial real estate is also looking imminent.”
Rubino goes on to say, “The numbers are not lost on the guys running the big investment banks and the big media outlets. They are sitting around, and they are thinking we have to say something about this because this is obviously a very big financial story. So, we have to report on it. Finally, the numbers have gotten big enough with the deficits and government interest costs . . . that this is a story that cannot be ignored anymore. It’s got to be pretty far along before they reach that point because they really don’t want to report on this. To report on this is seen as a betrayal of the establishment, and they are part of the establishment. They are playing on that team. The debt numbers are finally big enough that they can’t be ignored anymore, and that implies that we are getting near the end of the road.”
Gold and Bitcoin both hit all-time new highs this past week. What does it mean? Rubino explains, “This means the market is speaking, and it’s concluding these currencies have a problem. Capital is flowing into the alternatives. It’s flowing into the old kind of money that has held up for thousands of years like gold or the possible new kind of money like Bitcoin that has come on relatively recently (when compared to gold). . . . In either case, it is a vote against the dollar. When gold and Bitcoin are both spiking, it is a big vote of no confidence in the dollar.”
In closing, Rubino says, “There is no way to know how this plays out in the next six months, but this should terrify the central banks. By the way, the big central banks are behaving as if they are terrified because they are aggressively buying gold. They have bought about 1,000 tons of gold in each of the last two years. 1,000 tons is a fourth of the gold that comes out of all the gold mines in a given year. So, that is a major purchase, and they take the gold off the market. They don’t turn around and sell it. They put it away as a reserve asset. The gold is effectively disappearing. This makes the market even tighter, and this is also part of the reason why gold is going up.”

Great point Greg. Better off indeed to have something like Gold or Silver (and of course Food and Water), than not to have it, but if you had to choose between having Gold or Silver, Silver actually wins the Gold medal!!
John Rubino hits the nail right on the head when he says that Silver is definitely the better deal right now, but I have done some research, and I have found some startling facts that few people seem to know about.
Currently, it takes about 90 ounces of Silver to buy 1 ounce of Gold.
In 2023, according to Statista, there was 3000 metric tonnes of Gold produced (or about 97 million troy ounces in total) versus 1,025 million troy ounces of silver (per the Silver Institute) for a production ratio of 10.6x of Silver over that of Gold, but almost all of Gold is hoarded or saved, as opposed to Silver, where about 60% of it is consumed in any year, so taking this into consideration, there was only about 425 million ounces of Silver available for the public or 4.41 troy ounces of Silver available to 1 troy ounce of Gold.
Solar panels (called photovoltaics) now consume 161.1 million ounces of Silver annually and rose 15% over the previous year.
Only about 329 million ounces of silver was used in 2023 for Silver Coins and Silver Bars. The remainder of Silver goes into jewelry, or eating utensils among other things.
So in conclusion, Silver is probably the best deal out there at the moment and is only 1/90th the cost of an ounce of Gold.
I was thinking yesterday about all the doomsday predictions . So far, everyone has been wrong. Do you remember the farmer scare for the last 2 years? We were told in 2022 that come December into the new year food supplies would be shut down and no produce would be available directly from farmers warning us that the crops were down. Didn’t happen. Then there was the egg shortage, everyone ran out and cleared out the racks hence there was an egg shortage, not. I have tons of frozen eggs! Then the market was going to crash before the end of the year, took all money out of the market and …..yeah market still solid. We were told there would be a major event in January or February , well it is March. These guys can’t get it straight and they have yet to nail it. What is worse is they do not follow up and say “Hey , we were wrong and this is why we think we were wrong” I sometimes think it is all intentional lies being fed to people like Greg Hunter and others to see how the population responds in order to generate the next psyops. In 2008, I found those folks (FOFOA) during the subprime mortgage crisis and started prepping. My sister preferred euro; I chose gold – 1 year later, after the new prime minister of Greece disclosed that its budget deficits were far higher than previously thought, my sister sold the euro ensuing the PIGS financial crisis. There is a book named “Truth in Money” first published in 1982 that explains how not paying the interest and not paying the principle is predictable by the basic math curve of compounding interest, where the interest is capitalized into the principle each year. They start making the graph of $1 borrowed in 1913 when the Federal Reserve, debt based fiat money was made the only US Dollar money, borrowed into existence. Use 6% average yearly interest and carry it out 110 years (to 2023). That curve is the shape of M3, the “quantity” of dollars in use would be, if M3 were still kept. The curve shows what is next…. each year adding more and more. Yes it is a death spiral….and that graph shows why. The only relief valve is personal and business bankruptcy, there is no national bankruptcy.

Economic analyst and financial writer David Morgan has gone against the majority in the past with predictions that seemed unbelievable at the time. One prediction last year is the Fed not cutting interest rates in 2023. The Fed didn’t, and Morgan is still predicting there will be no Fed interest rate cut anytime soon. Now, with a record high stock market, Morgan is predicting “We are entering into a global depression the likes of which the world has never seen.”
Global central banks were able to delay the inevitable by flooding the system with colossal mountains of money.
But that just created a tremendous amount of inflation and now a horrifying economic crisis is coming anyway.
So I would encourage everyone to brace themselves for the “hard landing” that is rapidly approaching, because it is going to be exceedingly painful for the unprepared.

In this report I travel to the Russian military combat positions (of the “Crimea” battalion) on the Zaporizhzhia / Zaporozhye frontline to investigate the increase in territory being captured by Russian forces. During my time at the Frontline Combat positions a radio call came to the Russian soldiers saying a reconnaissance team had identified a Ukrainian assault team headed towards the position in an attempt to possibly to break through the lines. The Russian soldiers then engaged that sector in an attempt to eliminate or deter the Ukraine soldiers. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, launched in February 2022, sparked concerns about whether Moscow could deploy nuclear weapons if the war did not go in its favor. Those concerns have been fueled by comments from Russian authorities and media pundits, who largely align with Putin on the conflict. Other countries, including the U.S., have cautioned against such rhetoric amid concerns it could escalate the conflict.
Putin added to those concerns with fresh remarks during an interview with state-run TV channel Russia-1 and news agency RIA Novosti on Tuesday.
