The story that will most affect you is the possible strike by UPS. Why is that? UPS carries about 60% of the nation’s packages, and if this strike happens at the end of July, the supply lines are going to get clogged—really clogged. FedEx, the U.S. Postal Service and other shippers can in no way pick up the slack. If there is something you need, you will have to order it now or possibly wait months. Even if the strike only goes on for a short while, it will cause much longer wait times for just about everything you need. So, get it now to be on the safe side.
I have been covering the Ukraine war since the very first sanction. I predicted the sanctions would backfire, and every one did backfire on NATO and Europe. Why do these folks want to keep on with the war and not have any talk of peace? Journalist Max Blumenthal says it’s all about the money the Uni-party is stealing by keeping the carnage in Ukraine going. Blumenthal gave a stunning presentation at the U.N. last week talking about the $150 billion ripped off from taxpayers so far. He also gives a long list of grifters inside and outside the U.S. government who are cashing in on death. They are telling us the economy is strong, but nothing could be further from the truth. The Fed is straight up telling us that interest rates are going up. That is going to melt down an already deeply troubled commercial real estate market while thumping residential to boot. Meanwhile, credit card use has exploded while rates on that borrowed money are at an all-time high. To add insult to injury, one of the top search terms on Google is “Pawn Shop Near Me.” That can’t be good.

speaking of high credit card interest rates, you thank Biden for that too.
Up until the late 90’s the most a NY bank could charge in interest was 10% . Anything more than that was illegal and was considered usury/loansharking. Biden wrote the banking law where the location (state) of brick-and-mortar no longer determines the maximum rate, it could be based on where the Creditcard division was located. Therefore, by moving the CC division to states like South Dakota they could charge 25% interest even if the physical bank where you opened the account was located in NY.
That is why, depending on the state you live in, moving to a small bank or credit union you can a much lower interest rate, if they did not outsource their Creditcard division to with a high interest state.
I bet Hunter Biden has already opened a Credit Card Division in the Ukraine where interest rates are set at 100% percent or greater (and taking bribes from the US Banks that want to move their Credit Card Operations to that location)!! – this is probably why his father thinks his son is very smart!!

Jesus’ comments regarding “worse time ever”–your paraphrase–refers to the final tribulation period (1260 days) that begins with the “Abomination of Desolation and ends with Chris’s return. We’re not there yet. Where we are is what Christ called the “Beginning of Sorrows” in Matt. 24 (Olivet Discourse). This is the age of deception and lawlessness that proceeds the coming of the Anti-Christ–who will bring peace, prosperity, order, and great miracles. In other words, yes it is bad now, but it will get better than ever (for 1260 days–1st half of Daniel’s 70th and final week of years), then it will get bad; worse ever.

Greg, I have not heard anything about the LIBOR to SOFR transition that took place on 30 June. This affects every product, derivative, CC, loan, etc. with an interest rate attached to it. Many current credit agreements will likely see a rise in interest rates this month. When combined with the FED raising rates this may speed up this credit crisis. Maybe ask John Rubino when you have him on. The LLM is silent on this.
Anybody hearing anything about our new CBDC accounts the FED has assigned to each of us on 1 July? Anything in the mail yet or on the LLM?

The change from LIBOR to SOFR did NOT affect every product, derivative, CC, loan, etc… with an interest rate attached to it. You sound like you might have got that idea from Lynette Zang who was fearmongering. She was even stupid enough to say that your mortgage balance could very well change because of LIBOR going to SOFR. Watch at the 12:25 mark.

Of course she was wrong. Your mortgage balance was not going to change just because interest rates change. About 90 percent of mortgages are fixed rate. That rate stays the same no matter what unless you refinance at a different rate. And the balance of your mortgage will stay the same unless you make a payment. And LIBOR was not even the index used to determine what the interest rate on your fixed-rate mortgage was going to be. LIBOR was and now SOFR is the index that is used for some adjustable-rate mortgages in which the interest rate will change periodically. And for over a year now newer adjustable-rate mortgages have already been using SOFR. It will really only be some older adjustable-rate mortgages that might have been affected by the change from LIBOR to SOFR. Also while the interest rate change from LIBOR to SOFR may be seen in a small percentage of credit cards, HELOCs, and some variable-rate private student loans, the vast majority of credit cards and HELOCs use the Prime Rate. So very few people will actually be affected by the change from LIBOR to SOFR.
As far as derivatives, newly written interest rate derivative contracts have already been using SOFR instead of LIBOR for almost two years. So the vast majority of interest rate derivative contracts are probably using SOFR by that June 30th deadline since most are used for trading purposes. Old contracts are constantly being closed out and new ones written.

All throughout Scripture it is stated that we will endure tribulation, never is it stated that we will not endure tribulation. From the stoning of Stephen, the torture and murder of the Apostles, and the torture and murder of Christians throughout the past 2,000 years, this has been a true fact.
Scripture always states that Christians will not endure God’s wrath, which God pours out after the tribulation.
Tribulation and God’s wrath are defined as very different things.
Don’t put your hope in an easy escape (which I admit, fills the church pews); Set your mind on enduring until the end, like millions of Christians have already done.

Greg, I love your site. I have listened to nearly every guest for years, and agree with most. You have admitted that you’re not a Bible scholar, and I respect that. There is a key verse in Matthew 24:34. Jesus is speaking to his disciples, who are standing there with him. He says, “This generation shall not pass away until all these things have been fulfilled” That means at least some of the disciples would still be alive when all of the events described in Matt 24:1-33 were fulfilled. In verse 2 He predicted that not one stone of the Temple would be left upon another. That was fulfilled in 70 AD, well within some of the disciples’ lifetime. Speaking to the disciples, He said repeatedly “You”, not some future generation, will suffer tribulation, and be put to death, etc. Then in verse 16, He advises those who are left in Judea to “flee to the mountains…” This also happened in or around 70 AD. When the Romans suddenly backed off of their attack on Jerusalem. Those who were Christians and believed Jesus’ words fled to the mountains, and escaped before the Roman armies returned and sacked Jerusalem and demolished the Temple. Over a million Jews were packed into Jerusalem. All of them were killed by the Romans, except those who fled to the mountains. That was an “end of the age” time for those first century Jews. On the street: i am in a union and we have a contract vote on the 20th for mostly the same contract with pay raises of 7%, 4.5%, and 3.5% over the next three years. EVERYONE knows it is below inflation and the only way it adds up is IF we have there is a recession. I believe it will pass- everyone also knows the working man winds up getting the short end of the stick most of the time and it’s believed this is a fair deal.
There’s no way to tell when the economy will roll over- I have a different take on the interest rate inversions- i do believe they signal (or should) an impending financial tidal wave i also believe they signal just off the charts manipulation by the federal res.
