Weekly News Wrap-Up 7.18.14

4.jpgBy Greg Hunter’s USAWatchdog.com

Only three stories in the Weekly News Wrap-Up, but they all have something in common.  They all will have cascading effects that will go on for some time to come.  First up, the downing of Malaysian Airlines Flight 17 over Eastern Ukraine.  Nearly 300 people are dead; and of that total, nearly two dozen are reportedly U.S. citizens.  Everybody is pointing the finger at the other side.  The Ukrainians say it’s Russia’s fault.  The Pro-Russian separatists say it’s Ukraine’s fault, and so does Russia.  No matter whose fault it is, new sanctions and war tensions are mounting.   The President has already ratcheted up more sanctions this week because of Russia’s continued support of the separatists.  More sanctions on Russia are surely coming.  The missiles that shot down the Malaysian jet were from Russia.  Other planes were shot down by the separatists with Russian missiles.  Now, the situation is being elevated up to a whole new level.  Sanctions are likely going to increase; and this time, maybe even the Europeans will level meaningful sanctions.  Putin has already stated that any new U.S. sanctions “will boomerang and cause very serious damage.”  I think the damage Putin is talking about is damage to the U.S. dollar and Western economies.  This could not come at a worse time.  The U.S. economy is weak and just suffered negative 3% plunge in the first quarter.  Banks in Europe are already defaulting on debt, and most are in big financial trouble.  War and sanctions can cause a daisy chain of defaults that can go global.  There are the hundreds of trillions in interest rate derivative exposure in the global system, and the entire financial system can crash and crash hard.  That’s just the financial risk.  The war risk is also very real; and even if we do avoid war, the fear of war can be an economy killer.  A realtor friend told me as soon as one of her clients heard of the downed jet, they called and cancelled plans to buy a new home.  Multiply that all across the country.

The second story that has the potential to cascade out of control–the war now taking place in Israel.  The Israelis invaded Gaza and have called up nearly 60,000 troops.  I told you last week I thought Israel was going to try to knock out Hamas and stop them from firing hundreds of rockets into Israel.  That is what is happening now.  When I heard of an Egyptian brokered cease-fire, I thought the crisis would end.  Much to my surprise, Hamas did not stop firing rockets; and after several hours of rocket attacks, Israel continued its offensive called “Protective Edge.”  The U.N. brokered another cease-fire later in the week; and once again, Hamas started firing more rockets after just 2 hours.  There are reports that Hamas is shooting rockets from schools and hospitals.  Of course, when the Israelis respond, they end up killing women and children.  Even the U.N. admitted this week it found Hamas rockets hidden in a U.N. school.   I do not know what Hamas is trying to do?  Are they just turning up the body count to garner global sympathy?  Are they trying to bait the Israelis into a trap similar to what happened in Southern Lebanon several years ago?  (The Israelis took heavy losses in Southern Lebanon.)  I do not know what Hamas is trying to accomplish, but I do know that the relative peace we have had for the past few years has ended.  This will be an ongoing war that could cascade out of control and spread to the rest of the Middle East.  This is going to get much worse before it gets better.  There will be heavy losses on both sides in this latest ground campaign.  There will be no winners—only losers.

Finally, I go to the Southern border of the United States.  According to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, the Southern border is “secure.” Senator Reid must be delusional because illegal immigrants of all ages are flooding across the border.  Gang members, drug runners and even suspected terrorists are making it across the border.  This is a full blown national security issue, and the President and his minions refuse to send the National Guard to help seal it off.  On top of that, ABC News is reporting the numbers of illegals flooding the border makes it impossible to medically screen them.  ABC says there immigrants with “high fevers, flu-like symptoms and contagious diseases.”  The government is shipping people all across the country, which is a way to fast track sick and diseased people everywhere.  There are also reports of “chicken pox, pneumonia and swine flu.”  What is going to happen in six weeks when school starts again?  Former Border Patrol agents say the border crisis is the result of Obama Administration policies.  They also feel it is orchestrated.  The crisis is nowhere near resolved, and this too can cascade out of control, weaken the country and might even help cause the next terror attack on U.S. soil.  The Ukraine crisis, Israel/Hamas war and the border crisis are all happening at the same time.  Do something Mr. President, and tell your fellow Democrats to please stop lying to us.

“A realtor friend told me as soon as one of her clients heard of the downed jet, they called and cancelled plans to buy a new home.”

Greg – I am really glad you brought this up, because there is so much more to a comment such as made by this ‘client’. The Fear out there is palpable. It is being masked by a rising S&P/stock market and the enrichment of certain areas/regions of the economy, but that is as thin as a layer of onion skin.

In a different time, people would have paid attention to these global incidents, but the distinctions were more realistic and hence, so was decision making, but we weren’t as ‘globalized’ back then… Now, everything is intertwined, everybody’s business is everyone else’s – both in the interpersonal realm, as well as the global stage. Therefore, it is no wonder why clients such as the one you speak of come across as ‘nervous nellies’, making decisions about personal purchases based on a geopolitical event 10,000 miles away. The butterfly’s wings flap…

The last thing they want is a loss of confidence so they try and sweep the bad news under the rug by either not reporting on it or down playing it. Watch the gold stories-they are almost all negative- can’t have gold ( or silver) viewed as some type of safe haven for two reasons:
-there is no need for any safe haven –everything is fine; and
-if you do need a safe haven- it’s U.S. Treasuries

I’m glad that you made the distinction between Palestinians and Humas. I would assume that the Palestinians want their Land back like the native Indians. It seems to me like manifest destiny in the Middle East. I always root for the underdog. Wanted Venezuela to win. Nice report tonight as usual Greg thank you.

  4. Saeed

Mr. Hunter: You said that you do not know what Hamas is doing?!
I’m surprised because I know that you usually research your subject before you make your presentation. So allow me to give you the following facts:

1- The people in Gaza Strip are those whose lands, homes, and lively-hood in Palesting were usurped by the Israeli occupation of 1948; they were forcefully evicted to Gaza Strip.
2- By all accounts, even of those of the UN, Israel has turned Gaza into the largest open-air prison in the world, collectively punishing a very large group of human beings; something that has no historical precedent.
3- The tight grip of Israel on Gaza strip is preventing the basic life requirement, such as medicine, food, building materials, etc. from reaching Gaza strip. You thought the US embargo of Iraq was bad, just do your research on Israeli embargo of Gaza!
4- When Israel starts its aggression on Gaza strip they target women, children, ambulance and all other civilian “bank of targets” as the Israelis call it. Don’t believe me, please watch the very mild reaction of the US foreign affairs (whatever you call it) lady yesterday on the news concerning the cold-blooded murder of children who were playing on the beach targeted by missiles by the “Israeli army of defense”. That was followed by another cold blooded murder of children playing at the roof-top of their home.
5- The whole Western world (very sad indeed) is turning a blind eye on these atrocities not only the US. As Mr. Gerald Cenlente puts it: The Palestinians skin has a shade of brown that is not acceptable to the “civilized world” (my rephrasing)!
6- Last but not least, you are blaming Hamas for not accepting the Cease-Fire-Brokered-by-Egypt!!! Please study the Cease Fire conditions before judging! It is a document requiring the Palestinians in Gaza Strip (not just Hamas) to lie back, die peacefully when the Israelis ask them to do so, and not to bother Israel and The West with their complaints!
Mr. Hunter: who broke the cease fire of 21012 between Hamas and Israel? Please research this and you will discover that from the start Israel *Never* abide by the whole terms of that cease-fire accord. Then just a couple of months before their latest aggression on Gaza they started reversing all the conditions which they committed themselves (recapturing freed Palestinians, not allowing the Gaza employees salaries to be transferred to tehm, etc. on flimsy unsupported claims). It was Israel that started their attack on Gaza by air-raids and murdering those who the Israeli don’t like (another break of 2012 cease-fire) … and when Hamas refused to lie back, accept its Israeli-decreed fate on their people in Gaza, and fought back legitimately defending their people, then you –sadly– accuse them of aggression before you verify the facts?
One last comment: before you criticize Hamas for not accepting the right of Israel to exist pleas research whether Israel accepts the right of Gaza people to exercise their basic human needs.
    Best always.
    Saeed.

    • Greg Hunter

      Saeed,
Lots of sin to go around. I don’t see how you can have peace if the stated goal of Hamas is to wipe out Israel. You ignore that very important point. This is war, and it is very sad for all.
      Greg

      • Emeth

Yes, the whole situation is both tragic, and complex, best answered simply, in conceptual terms. Argue the details, and it becomes an endless argument of ‘who did what, to whom and when’ etc.

Like all problems, when God’s principles are removed from the consideration, then all manner of humanly judged ‘moral’ issues make any matter hugely complex.

Unfortunately, the spirit of vengeance and retribution is woven in and through many cultures, particularly the Arab cultures which are mostly founded on Islamic tradition. The Jews are also moved by a similar spirit of vengeance, as are all ‘men’ whose roots are based upon the spirit and philosophy of ‘materialism’.

The Christian spirit is summed up by both Paul, in Rom.12:19 ‘Avenge not yourselves … ‘ (partially drawn from Christ’s words Matt.5:38-48 & Prov.25:21-22).

While ever any people ignore these concepts, warfare will be endless, as vengeance can never be satisfied.

Greg, thank you for your website and the approach you take. It is quite refreshing, informative and fair.

      • susan

Greg, you put it exactly correct. Thank you.

    • Tin hat

      Mr. Saeed,

I don’t have to do much research to counter every points which you have listed above:

1- Most of the Palestinians left their homes and lands before the joined Arab armed forces invasion of Israel. They left on their own accord to watch their muslim brothers erase Israel from the map from a safe distance. Common sense dictates the ones who left after the invasion were evicted, I have no idea what number that would be but I doubt it would be a high number.

2- If a large group of human being support terrorism, they belong in the largest open-air prison in the world. The Jews were held prisoner in the open-air ghettos, that historical precedent was established by Hitler. The only problem I have with Israel is the way they handle the border crossing. The border guards are immature, arrogant and condescending. I’m pretty sure many Palestinians want to be terrorists just because of the ways they were treated at these crossings.

3- Are you kidding me? The tight grip of Israel on Gaza strip can’t even keep thousand of rockets and missiles out of Gaza. You expect me to believe they can keep out basic life requirements.

4-“Israel uses missiles to protect its citizens, Hamas uses its citizens to protect the missiles.” I believe that to be a true statement.

5- You must be a democrat. Oh, lookie here, I’m a victim because my skin is brown. Before you call me a racist, I really don’t care if the Palestinians or the Jews were black, white, brown, yellow or red. They can all kill each others in that little steel cage in Mideast for all I care. As far as I’m concern, it’s none of our business. However, I’m sick and tired of hearing nonsense from perpetual victim.

6- Last but not least, Hamas would not have to accept the Cease-Fire if they refrained their people from kidnapping and killing three unarmed teens. They wouldn’t have to lie back and die peacefully if their leaders would focus on improving the economy and infrastructures rather than the range of the missiles.

You can’t go purposely kick sands into a big man face and cry when you get punched in the face just because you are too small to DEFEND yourself.

If Hamas will not accept the right of Israel to exist , why should Israel accepts the right of Gaza people to move about freely or whatever basic human blah, blah.

One last comment: I was a democrat and I used to feel sorry for the Palestinians, then I grew a little wiser and I started looking beyond propaganda. When Arafat walked away from the Clinton’s peace plan, I started digging into the facts rather than being spoon fed by the mainstream media. Btw, I’m no longer a republican.

    • Galaxy 500

Those tight restrictions dont seem to.keep thousand.of missles out. I dont see the Israelis targeting civilians while Hamas targets civilians almost exclusively. As far as them getting any land back, I guess thats as likely as Hamas being reasonable.
If Hamas wanted PEACE, they could have it…however, the terrorists of Hamas, peace is not in their vocabulary

    • Galaxy 500

Yes, four children died. War sucks. Ever hear of “fog of war”. Its called an accident. Sad but true. Where’s your outrage over the deliberate act of murder of two Israeli and one American teenagers? Do you understand the difference?
From the actions of Hamas, its easy to see they want a pile of Palestinians for a propaganda campaign. I am sure that before this war is over they will have.it. It cant be helped when you have a group of terrorist cowards hiding among children.

      Parallel Commentaries
      Matthew Henry’s Concise Commentary

11:18-25 Let all be directed by the three rules here given. 1. Let our hearts be filled with the word of God. There will not be good practices in the life, unless there be good thoughts, good affections, and good principles in the heart. 2. Let our eyes be fixed upon the word of God, having constant regard to it as the guide of our way, as the rule of our work, Ps 119:30. 3. Let our tongues be employed about the word of God. Nor will any thing do more to cause prosperity, and keeping up religion in a nation, than the good education of children.

Gill’s Exposition of the Entire Bible

Every place wherein the soles of your feet shall tread,…. Meaning in the land of Canaan; though the Jews vainly apply this to every land, and country, and place therein, where any of them come; pleasing themselves with this foolish fancy, that all shall be theirs that the foot of any of them have trod upon, or they have dwelt in; but that it respects only the land of Canaan appears by the following description of it and its boundaries:

from the wilderness; the wilderness of Paran, which lay to the south of it, where Kadesh was, from whence the spies were sent, and was the southern border of it:

and Lebanon; which was a range of mountains to the north of it; and was the northern border of the land:

from the river, the river Euphrates; which was the eastern border of it, when it was carried to its utmost extent, as in the days of Solomon, 1 Kings 4:21.

even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be: the Mediterranean sea, which was the western border of the land of Canaan, or “the hinder sea”, and so it is called Zechariah 14:8, it lay at the back of them; for if a man stands with his face to the east, the south will be on his right hand, and the north on his left, and the west will be behind him, or at the back of him.

      Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Bible Commentary

      24. Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours—not as if the Jews should be lords of the world, but of every place within the promised land. It should be granted to them and possessed by them, on conditions of obedience:

      from the wilderness—the Arabah on the south;

      Lebanon—the northern limit;

Euphrates—their boundary on the east. Their grant of dominion extended so far, and the right was fulfilled to Solomon.

even unto the uttermost sea—the Mediterranean.

Saaed, you did not read all the Bible. According to the following verses Ishmael gets 2/3rds of the inheritance. Which is about what they have right now. Isaac’s 1/3 is the beautiful land. Why does he want his half-brother’s inheritance? Also the Philistines land was never included in the inheritance because of a covenant that Abraham made with them. That would be the Gaza strip. Sorry to burst your bubble. And yes I know that Palestinians are not Philistines, but that does not change the facts about title to the land.

Deu 21:15 “If a man has two wives, the one loved and the other unloved, and both the loved and the unloved have borne him sons, if the firstborn son belongs to the unloved,
Deu 21:16 then it shall be in the day he wills what he has to his sons, he cannot make the son of the loved the firstborn before the son of the unloved, who is the firstborn.
Deu 21:17 “But he shall acknowledge the firstborn, the son of the unloved, by giving him a double portion of all that he has, for he is the beginning of his strength; to him belongs the right of the firstborn.

        allen ols –

        1) I think one reference, perhaps two, are sufficient to show the point you are making.
        2) The promise of ‘the Land’ was to Abraham and his Seed (offspring) for ‘an everlasting possession’ (Gen.13:15, 15:8 etc) … i.e. ‘forever.
        3) The ‘Seed’ of Abraham is explained on a number of levels. A) Natural Offspring, later called Israelites/Jews, B) Jesus himself (Gal.3:16), C) to any who has the same ‘faith’ as Abraham (Gal.3:9, 26-29)
        4) Rom.9:7-8 explains the principle ‘nor are they all children because they are the seed of Abraham; but, “In Isaac your seed shall be called.” That is, those who are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God; but the children of the promise are counted as the seed.’
        5) Natural Israel’s right to the land is based upon having the same faith as Abraham … which is currently not a fact or a reality, and the reason they were removed from the Land. Rom.11:25-29 tells us that they will one day have that right to the land, but not now.
        6) Now they are returned to the land in ignorance of Christ, or of the gospel message in him. The references in Zech.12-14, Joel.3, Ezek.38-39 etc. all lay the background for what is soon to come, and the day they will be forced to realize their true position.
        7) Only on that day, the land can be inherited ‘forever’.
        8) None of this justifies their violence or actions now, but rather testifies to their self justifying spirit … which spirit will be crushed before they finally accept Jesus as the Christ of God, as Zech.12:9-14 clearly tells.
        9) Only then, the fullness of the things you are speaking of can be realized.

    http://www.silverdoctors.com/putin-may-have-been-target-of-plane-shot-down-presidential-jet-mh17-intersected-at-same-point-echelon-minutes-apart/
“I can say that Putin’s plane and the Malaysian Boeing intersected at the same point and the same echelon. That was close to Warsaw on 330-m echelon at the height of 10,100 meters. The presidential jet was there at 16:21 Moscow time and the Malaysian aircraft – 15:44 Moscow time,” a source told the news agency on condition of anonymity.
“The contours of the aircrafts are similar, linear dimensions are also very similar, as for the coloring, at a quite remote distance they are almost identical“, the source added.
Meanwhile, the WSJ reports that US Intelligence detected a surface-to-air missile launch and tracked the explosion of the plane, confirming that MH-17 was in fact shot down.

Mr. Hunter. Peace is a two-way process. When the Israelis are not willing to address the legitimate “basic” human rights of Palestinians, and then cry “wolf” when someone (Hamas) defends that right, then how do you expect peace to be achieved? Hamas is the democratically elected government of Palestinians. Let the Israeli government accepts to address the basic human rights of Palestinians, and then let us see if Hamas wins any elections.

      • Greg Hunter

        Saeed,
So you are ok with the “Destruction of Israel” platform of Hamas and now the PA? Yes, indeed “Peace is a two-way process.” I cannot see how you achieve peace starting from this vantage point.
        Greg

      Greg said:

“…I don’t see how you can have peace if the stated goal of Hamas is to wipe out Israel.”

With all due respect Greg, this is the second time you have said this in your rebuttle to a comment. Can you please cite this statement with the speciffic report about who said exactly what with regards to your statment. Just curious to see who said this and when and where and in what publication it was in. Thanks in advance, sir.

I certainly agree with allen ols.

The assassination of Putin would have been just as clever as the murders of JFK, RFK, MLK etc.. The separatists would have been the patsy blamed for the murder of Putin who, just incidentally, is spearheading an incredibly clever war against the dollar on the world economic stage.

So to answer your question about what the surprises are going to be, I believe there are going to be two of them: One is going to be geopolitical unrest. The world is heading to a major war. The Middle East is up for grabs. Beyond Israel and Palestine is the Syrian civil war, is the Yemen civil war. There is unrest in Bahrain. Egypt has now been taken over by a totalitarian-military government, and there is a lot of unrest beneath the surface.

If you look around the world, all of the sudden there is a problem at Banco Espirito Santo in Portugal. There are problems in the Bulgarian banks, which were covered up immediately. So you have the financial unrest and the geopolitical instability. There is no recovery. So you are going to see more social unrest.

You are going to see geopolitical strife, social unrest, and economic panic. It’s all in the cards. When will those cards be dealt? No one really knows. And again, the governments are going to do anything they can to keep the Ponzi scheme going. And I have warned about this over and over, they are going to use a geopolitical crisis, false flag or real, to get the people’s minds off the problems.

You see it now. Remember when that plane was lost? It was the headline story for 7 weeks. We charted it on the Cartoon News Network better known as CNN. That was for a plane that was lost. Can you imagine the propaganda that the presstitutes at CNN and the rest are going to do in keeping this plane that blew up in the air in the news? And fill the airwaves with hate, distrust, and propaganda.

Yes, they are going to get the people’s minds off the economy. They are going to get their minds off those lousy jobs that they can’t find. They are going to get the people’s minds off the rising prices. They are going to get the people’s minds off every time they stick that gas pump into their gas tank that they can’t afford it.

They are going to get those students’ minds off those loans they can’t pay off, who got out of college with degrees in worthlessness, and are now indentured servants. Keep following the news. When all else fails, they take you to war. And that’s what they are doing now.”

Tragedy on Top of Crisis May Strengthen Stand Against Russia in U.S. and Europe

The downing of a commercial Boeing 777 in the Ukrainian war zone on Thursday inflamed an already volatile international crisis and may bolster President Obama’s efforts to isolate Russia.
The Malaysia Airlines jet was brought down by a surface-to-air missile fired by pro-Russian rebels who mistook it for a military aircraft, American officials expressed hope that the tragedy will underscore their case that Moscow has been violating Ukrainian sovereignty. While Mr. Obama imposed new sanctions on Russia just a day before, Europeans refused to adopt measures as stringent out of fear of jeopardizing their own economic ties.
The Obama administration already has additional sanctions prepared that could be put into effect quickly if Mr. Obama so chooses. “The question is does this finally move the Europeans across that threshold,” said a senior administration official, who insisted on anonymity to speak more candidly. “I don’t know, but how could it not?”
“Ultimately this is going to ratchet up pressure within Europe to do what they should have done a long time ago,” said John E. Herbst, a former American ambassador to Ukraine now at the Atlantic Council in Washington. “The strength of the opposition to firm steps remains strong, and so it’s not going to go away. It’s just that their position just took a serious hit and it should lead to a stronger set of European sanctions.”
Lawmakers from both parties quickly condemned the crash. “This is obviously a game changer and has horrific consequences,” said Senator John McCain, the Arizona Republican who has pressed Mr. Obama to take a tougher stance against Mr. Putin.

Who or why were any planes allowed to fly in that airspace? Especially considering, Monday, a AN26 cargo plane was shot down at 21,000 feet in that air space and not long before that a SU-25 fighter jet. Would you have flown over that war zone? Were the passenger’s told any of this and that they would be flying directly over that war zone? So who’s really at fault in all this anyways and who stands to gain from this easily prevented tragedy? I pray they do not get their WWIII!

    • Paul from Indiana

Al, this is an interesting side to the issue, which is a terrible disaster. Regardless, we now know that the Russian-made surface-to-air missles work. Best always. PM

    • Agent P

The only ‘fly’ in the ointment Allen, is that with a pair of 15 x 50 binoculars (any garden variety brand from $150 all the way up to Leica $3000 versions), can easily spot the dimensional, physical and marking differences in an aircraft flying at or ~above~ 30,000 feet… ‘Generally’ speaking, one of the most common ‘tools’ of any ground-based force, is a pair of functioning field glasses (binoculars), and ‘generally’ they are of a quality and capability that is beyond ‘consumer grade’ (or budget…)

All of which to suggest is (but not necessarily blame), that it is highly likely that whomever shot this plane down, had access to tools that would have clearly identified the aircraft as civilian in nature. That of course is given that they would have bothered to check in the first place, but we do not know those details as yet.

What I am finding as most suspicious of all however, is who were the air-traffic controllers guiding this plane in and over the vicinity of being directly in harms way or, did the pilot himself choose to bearing coordinates in that direction. The black box should eliminate those variables. We shall see.

Good morning Greg hunter, i hope that this message gets to you on time. it actually concerns some information from a twitter account of a dispatcher located at the Borispol International report in Kiev. According on his version of the story, the plane was shot down by the Ukrainian military (and if i understood him well, without proper authorisation). He seems to be well informed from the military air traffic control in Ukraine and well versed to inform you further on the details. This is his twitter account https://twitter.com/spainbuca. I believe that in the middle of information war, its always good to hear the other side of the story which isn’t being told and this is due to the serious inconsistencies from the official Ukrainian Government official channels.

  7. Michael

Great weekly wrap up Greg and thank you for speaking a truth so many don’t want to hear. First with the Malaysian airplane tragedy I don’t believe anything coming out of the mainstreet media. With Russia signing on to BRICS this week and the massive CIA involvement in Ukraine I believe one has to seriously look behind the curtains of our own corrupt government to find the ugly truth. Secondly with Israel I say after being as patient as they have been it’s about time they destroy Hamas once and for all. Thirdly the border crisis proves that Homeland Security is a scam and that the current administration is working against the best interests of this nation. Growing up I always believed the government was truly represented by “We the People” but sadly now I realize just how naive I have been for the better part of my life. This nation as a whole is going to disagree on a number of issues but you would think that we would all agree on the Constitution, liberty, and freedom which sadly we do not. I think America’s best days are behind her and unless people including myself stand up and fight the leftist communists in this country they are going to destroy it and US.

All of this nonsense pivots around the fact that the federal reserve ponzi scheme is about played out. They can no longer disguise the fact that they are unable to continually create “money” from nothing while charging interest on their creation, indefinitely.

This is all diversion designed to take the focus off of this imminent failure. It will get worse…

    Happy Friday morning
What if we took just these three stories Greg covered this morning and rather than take the “normal approach” in discussing them we try to determine if any of these three stories would even exist without for profit Capitalism, Socialism, Communism or any other ism putting profit before doing the best right thing for free and for nothing? You know these wonderful inventions allowing a few folks to control finances, technology, manpower and resources. Yesterday a very angry fellow at work was yelling about how anyone could believe in a God that allowed millions to starve every year. After finally hearing that enough I told him I was a little sick of hearing that lame argument when silos around the world contain enough food to feed the worlds population 100 times over, so quit blaming God! Then there’s the lame argument that to even look at or discuss doing good for free and for nothing is “utopian foolishness”. Sounds like a statement that probably originates in Corporate boardrooms or high government offices to keep the status quo and a sweet life style. Occupy was the only leaderless and demand-less movement in my life that began on a world wide scale to begin trying to change the discussion and actions to bring in a new all inclusive (not perfect, just much better) system. We saw in most cases how easily the for profits quelled this movement. Military and Police must eat too, right? The system as such is the enemy and the author of Greg’s stories today and most of these type stories in our world. One more personal example regarding this wonderful system. There is a road I travel home from work on a daily basis with one lane going each way. I am stuck on this road 40 minutes to travel 6 miles. Is it because there is no technology, resources or people power to build 2 more lanes on each side? No, it’s because we don’t have enough fictitious digits (money). I’m sure all the Watchdogs on this site can think of thousands of wonderful things that can’t be done for the same reason. I guess my question is, how smart is that? I ask God and his kids to build a system that deletes future plane crashes, needless wars and ill starving children like the ones covered in Greg’s stories today. Thank you Greg for your time and energy to make this home a better one for all.

  12. Mason

    Greg,
Please read my comment, because there is an important point to make regarding your third story on the illegal immigrants crossing the Southern border, plus a few important insights to give. Remember last week you brought us the news that Texas governor Rick Perry of Texas was meeting with president Obama, and that Obama was smiling and laughing through the meeting and wanting the Congress to give him $3.7 billon in emergency money?

The point I want to make is this: I think you should make a distinction between Obama as president and Obama as private person. Obama is probably acting in his own best interest as Obama the private person, and not in the best interest of the country or even the Democratic Party (remember that you were wondering last week about how this could be a winning strategy for the Democrats?) I think he wants to fit in with the oligarcy-class, and earn millions in the lecture circuit like president Bill Clinton or at a minimum try not to get shot like president John F Kennedy. Sadly, as a president, you only get to achieve this by playing ball (e.g. Bill Clinton helping Summers repeal the Glass-Steagal Act which in turn is a major cause for the present crisis, or in the case of JFK, by not trying to take on the military-industrial-congressional-complex).

So, how does Obama play ball with the oligarchy-class in this case, and help himself in the process? I think it is obvious. I think he doesn’t care for the American citizens, but that he is trying to get more funds for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in the name of “protecting the border”. But in reality, these funds will be used for beefing up the Police State and protect the oligarch-class against the ordinary American citizens. The game plan is that the government assumes extra-ordinary powers at the borders, and that they then subsequently expand these newly assumed extra-ordinary powers inward. As of yet, the “Constitution-Free Zone” is a 100-mile wide strip from the borders and the coast that extends inland. Some states are completely covered in this zone. The ACLU found that approximately TWO-THIRDS of the United States’ population (about 200 million people) live within this “Constitution-Free Zone”. I have read stories that the DHS is trying to expand this limit to 125 miles. Anyway, because 1 pictures says more than 100o words, I would like to refer this picture on the website of the ACLU: http://tinyurl.com/n5q5yeu

By the oligarchy-class I do not mean the 1%, but I mean the 0,01%, a.k.a. the really well-connected ultra-wealthy crony-capitalists, which includes a lot of Congress members. There is a big difference between the 1% and the 0,01%. Michael Krieger of the site LibertyBlitzKrieg wrote a few good posts about this. Make no mistake, this is a class war, and it is being waged from the 0,01% against the rest. Their motive is greed, and a sense of superiority. As Doug Casey of Casey Research once stated, and this is important to remember I think, that each of three classes have a characteristic psychologigal profile. For the lower class, it’s apathy. For the middle class, it’s fear. And for the upper class, it’s greed and arrogance (http://preview.tinyurl.com/7elr6vw). If you look around, you will find this to be true. With regard to the government, Casey states that what is at work here is an instance of Pareto’s Law. That’s the 80-20 rule that tells us, for example, that 80% of your sales come from 20% of your salesmen or that 20% of the population are responsible for 80% of the crime. 80% of the people are basically decent, but 20% of the people are potential trouble sources. But it doesn’t end there: 20% of the 20% are the really bad actors. They are drawn to government and other positions where they can work their will on other people. They remake the culture of the organizations they run in their own image. Gradually, non-sociopaths can no longer stand being there. They leave. Soon the whole barrel is full of bad apples. That’s what’s happening today in the US.

I do have a question. I would really like to see you interview Edward Griffin (among other things he has a site where he brings unfiltered news at http://www.realityzone.com/un.html). And I would really absolutely love for you to ask him about the CFR. Do you have him on your quest list?

Good points today Greg. The area would foster an economic boom and there would be no more illegal border crossings. Ever!

I think the fact that Hamas targeted Israel’s nuclear power plant has changed the game completely. That is a really serious threat and it might wake the bad guys up to the fact that nuke facilities anywhere on the planet are pretty vulnerable – one leaking pipe and all hell breaks loose. Israel needs to take out those rockets – it is almost as though they have no choice. The stupid thing is, if the plant were destroyed the radiation would affect everyone in the vicinity, not just the Israelis.

It’s now official. Regarding the Police State / Security State:
The NSA now targets individuals that are “merely searching the web for the privacy-enhancing software tools”. The rules in the XKeyscore “causes the NSA to mark and track the IP address of the person doing the search.”

So there you have it, ladies and gentlemen, you are now officially living in a Police State.

  20. Jerry

Greg I have a question for you. Do you think,
    1. The building up to war in Ukraine
    2. The flood of illegal aliens across our borders.
    3. The war in Israel
    are all random acts?
Based on the information I have received (from multiple sources}, this is a choreographed concentrated effort to bring down the united states, economically, and militarily. In the old days when you wanted to bronco bust a horse, so you would saddle it with as much weight as you could put on it. Eventually the horse would buckle under the weight and give in. That’s what’s happening here. The U.S. and NATO is being bear baited into a conflict with Russia over the downing of the Malaysian air liner. Check my post on 7/15. If Russia doesn’t invade Ukraine in the next few weeks I will be surprised.
As far as the flood of illegal aliens across our border, do you really think these children just happened to wander into Texas? They were bused over 1700 miles through some of the roughest terrain on the planet. By who? And for what reason? That story about their parents paying coyotes is a load of crap. Most people who are here illegally can’t afford to send that much money, much less take the risk of getting caught.
It is an orchestrated plan to begin the conversion of the United States into the AU planned by the globalist. That’s it pure and simple. I hate to tell congress but this is just the first wave. There are thousands more behind them in route.
Lastly the war in Israel? You were right Greg. There are more than Palestinians involved in this conflict. The Palestinians can barely afford to feed themselves much less spend millions of dollars on weapons and rockets. The globalist couldn’t draw us into a conflict in Syria, so they went to their backup plan which was to start a conflict between Israel and Iranian backed Hamas. How convenient? So many fronts so little time. And most importantly so little money. Meanwhile China is in the background settling up their trade platforms, and settlement agreements. Tick Tock people……

Greg thanks for all you do. Your interviews keep us up to date with the information that just simply can’t be found anywhere else. Greg If I have created any problems for you with my post, tell me, and I’ll stop. Frankly I’d rather read other people’s thoughts anyway.

      Jerry,

I don’t count myself as one of the ‘lead’ commenters on this site: but I do consider you one. Your posts are cohesive and well reasoned. Many threads seen in your contributions tie either subtly or directly to other sources or issues. And it’s like being in a platoon – the ones who take the lead get fired at first; and even pinned-down.
Personally, because of my upbringing: I have self-confidence issues; but everybody does to some degree. You have shown a great attitude and a depth of knowledge few possess – which really (no roses here) sets the bar. Without you here – the fabric of this site would be greatly diminished.

      • Jerry

        Charles
Thank you Charles. The last communication I got from my source made me sick at my stomach and question the sanity of what I’m doing posting anything. The information was so unbelievable, I couldn’t wrap my mind around it . We truly live in evil perilous times.

      • Paul from Indiana

Yeah, ol’ Jerr is a stand-up guy, no doubt. He’s first with the best, and I ascribe only the best of intentions to his mission. I thank him publicly in this space many times. Aside from the numerology jive, we agree 90+%.

I have no doubt that the USA is in a pickle, and if even HALF of Jerry’s information and conclusions are even semi-correct, the picture is bleak. What I object to is the implication that we are toast, we are screwed WITH NO CHANCE, and we should just resign ourselves to our fate, and let the bad guys win. I don’t believe that; I am determined to fight to the end, if necessary, for what I believe in, for what our forefathers fought and died to bequeath us, and for what I wanted to give to posterity, which is why I got married 37 years ago, worked hard, and raised 5 kids. I’m not lying down for anybody, certainly not for some NWO, oligarchic, narcissist thugs and their minions. And Jerry can’t scare me off or any other end-of-us type. I’m not a quitter, and I think there are millions of Americans, who, when the scales fall away from their eyes, the truth is revealed, and they finally understand the deal, will feel and act the same. That’s when the tide turns. Best always. PM

        • Jerry

          Paul
Believe me when I tell you this. What I posted Wednesday is only half of what I was told. The amount of pain coming to this country is simply unbelievable. At one point I even thought about packing up and going to South America. After talking with my three sons and their family’s we decided to stay and fight since most of them didn’t want to leave loved ones behind. In the Ozarks where I live, we still live by the code, where you don’t mess with a mans family. They may kill us all, but the good news is, we won’t be alone.

          • Paul from Indiana

Jerry, I DO believe you; that’s the problem! I appreciate to the max your willingness to stick your neck out. Just daring to post what you learn has made you a marked man, I’m sure. My declaration to fight likewise has me a special file at NSA. But this is my home, and just like the guys at the Alamo, I’m going down fighting . Best always. PM

P.S. For anyone going, I agree with Jerry that the southern hemisphere strategy is best. My son is a big fan of Chile and/or Uruguay. But we’re not dead yet. PM

I am telling you Greg and Jerry my friend from the Ozarks. It is looking like a repeat from history. Missouri was at war 10 years before the civil war with Kansas and well after let everyone how everything was supposed to be. I do not propose to allow Missouri to freely allow those of us who hate freedom to shut down free thinkers. I no longer live in Gasconade County but I would gladly stand side by side with those guys to protect our freedom against the Progressives that wish to rob us of our freedom.

    Hi Greg,
Zechariah 12:3 in the Amplified version reads as follows: ” And in that day I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all peoples; all who lift it or burden themselves with it shall be sorely wounded. And all the nations of the earth shall come and be gathered together against it”.
Compare now to what the Lord through Paul wrote to the believers in Rome in the eleventh chapter of his letter there. I only quote several portions of the whole passage : ” I say then has God cast away His people? Absolutely not! For I also am an Israelite, out of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says in the passage concerning Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel?”… “As it is written, ” God gave them a spirit of deep sleep, eyes to see not and ears to hear not, until this very day”….”I say then, Have they stumbled so as to fall? Absolutely not! But by their misstep salvation has come to the Gentiles, to provoke them to jealousy. But if their misstep has become the riches of the world, and their loss, riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their fullness be!”…..”For I do not want you, brothers, to be ignorant of this mystery (lest you be wise in yourselves), that hardness has come upon Israel in part, until the fullness of the Gentiles comes in; and thus all Israel will be saved, as it is written, “The Deliverer will come out of Zion; He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob. And this is the covenant from Me with them, when I take away their sins.” According to the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but according to the selection they are beloved for the father’s sake. For the gracious gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. For just as you once disobeyed God, but now have been shown mercy because of their disobedience, so these also now have disobeyed, so that because of the mercy shown to you they also now may be shown mercy. For God has shut up all in disobedience that He might show mercy to all. O the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and untraceable His ways! For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has become His counselor? Or who has first given to Him, and it will be repaid to him? Because out from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen” (Romans 11 excerpts)
As you have said many times Greg: “There’s plenty of sin to go around” meaning there is plenty of blame to go around when it comes to the Israeli – Palestinian conflict. But, what occurs to me is that this very conflict which has been the source of criticism and argument by people worldwide just demonstrates how Zechariah 12:3 could be fulfilled. So while on the one hand while the Scriptures are clear that God has temporarily given them eyes that “do not see, and ears that do not hear”, that is for the benefit of the nations. And when the fullness of the Gentiles come in to the inheritance through faith in the good news of Jesus as the Christ, then all Israel will be saved when the “Deliverer will come out of Zion”. But that will be at a time when all the nations have come and gathered together against Israel with a view of eliminating her once for all as a nation off the face of the earth, which will only result in the judgment of those nations by the Lord Himself and all Israel will look upon Him whom they pierced and wail in repentance and come into the blessing of the inheritance through the forgiveness of their sins. In light of realizing all of this, I speculate the apostle could only conclude: ” O the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God!” amen and amen.
And let us not be forgetful of the One who has been exalted to the right hand of God, that glorified Man who as High Priest forever has sat down on the right hand of the majesty on High having made purification of sins, that when John saw Him in His glory, he “fell at His feet as dead.” But what was His response to John? “He placed His right hand on me, saying, Do not fear; I am the First and the Last and the Living One; and I became dead, and behold, I am living forever and ever; and I have the keys of death and of Hades.” (Revelation 1:17-18) In light of all the comments I read here and other places on the net about the coming catastrophes to be visited upon us as a result of the schemes of those who have chosen to align themselves with spiritual forces of evil in high places, I am reminded of the words of the Lord Jesus in Matt 10:28-31 to ” not fear those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna. Are not two sparrows sold for an assarion? And not one of them will fall to the earth apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered (literally assigned a number– my note). Therefore do not fear; you are of more value than many sparrows.” When dealing with all the evil in the world and the plots of those whose intent it is to enslave or destroy humanity because of their own unbridled greed and lust for power and control and a lust even to be worshipped, I am reminded again that fear is what feeds tyranny, i.e. fear of man who has power to kill the body. But remember the evil forces of darkness that resort to bullying and intimidation and even much worse to oppress and depress and cause anxiety have only one intention and that is to take away any willingness to resist by using such displays force together with a steady stream of propaganda to convince the general population that any efforts to resist their tyrannical scheme of slavery are futile in the face of what appears to be a highly organized force of overwhelming strength and capability. That is why I am reminded again to use discernment in evaluating all the reports which come to me, because it is not just about accuracy of information provided, but even more so the motive and spirit or attitude behind the reporting of information i.e. enslavement through fear or freedom through faith. Let me give you a real world example of what I mean from the scriptures. Do you remember when the Lord told the children to go up to the land to possess it for He was with them to give it to them as an inheritance and so twelve men were sent out to “spy out the land” and of the twelve who went out only two came back (Joshua and Caleb) with a good report? The ten said that the occupants of the land were giants and we are like grasshoppers in comparison. That was an evil report. Was it true? Well yes you can say it was true. There were giants in the land whose stature made these ten see themselves as nothing more than grasshoppers in comparison. Well then how about Joshua and Caleb? Did they not see the same giants inhabiting the land and have the same realization that they themselves were puny in stature in comparison? Well they did, but that did not even enter into their consideration. Why? Because the Lord Himself had said He was with them to give the land to them as their inheritance.!!!! The evil report of unbelief did not even acknowledge what the Lord had said, yet to Joshua and Caleb they were ready to go up “at once ” for the giants were as bread to them. In other words, there was not an ounce of hesitation in their being because of what the Lord had said. I have posted here at length again and I appreciate you Greg for what you do in providing quality reporting with credible real world guests and a format for participants to come and read and post comments. There are a lot of evil reports these days which have the intent to induce fear and hopelessness. Remember, spiritual forces of evil in high places seek to enslave us inducing fear to the point of paralysis and to tell you the truth I am afraid I am not totally free myself, but one thing we can do is have faith to pray and call upon the name of the Lord to begin to break the spiritual chains of bondage we have allowed to be placed upon us- and He is faithful and He is for us. As the scripture says: “If the Son sets you free, you shall be free indeed” and remember ” Since the children have shared in blood and flesh, He also Himself partook of the same, that through death He might destroy him who has the might of death, that is, the devil, and might release those who because of the fear of death were all their lives held in slavery. For assuredly it is not to angels that He gives help, but He gives help to the seed of Abraham. Hence He should have been made like His brothers in all things that He might become a merciful and faithful High Priest in the things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. For being tempted in that which He Himself has suffered, He is able to help those who are being tempted” (Heb. 2:14-18). And remember, the temptation spoken of here, if you read the entire passage in context, is the temptation to disbelieve what God has promised with respect to this very incident in history when the ten spies gave the evil report and only two of the spies had the word of the promise from the Lord mixed together with faith so as to say “Let us go up at once” to inherit the land, for the giants, they are as bread to us. And remember as well that we who have believed on the Lord Jesus Christ from among the nations, we too are counted as Abraham’s seed ” and if you are of Christ, you are Abraham’s seed, heirs according to promise” (Galatians 3:29). The grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be richly with your spirit Greg and to all.

      Mark,
In read your entire comment I now have a new perspective. I will no longer end my Weekly News Wrap-Up with the phrase “Have a nice weekend.” From now on, I will end the Wrap-Up with the phrase “Fear Not.” My preacher told me this phrase is used 365 time in the Bible. One for everyday of the year. “Fear Not” will be the new tagline for the Weekly News Wrap-Up from here on out. Thank you for your comment and enlightenment!!!

“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Indeed, He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not also with Him freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s chosen ones? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ Jesus who died and, rather, who was raised, who is also at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation or anguish or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword? As it is written, ” For Your sake we are being put to death all day long; we have been accounted as sheep for slaughter.” But in all these things we more than conquer through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities nor things present nor things to come nor powers nor height nor depth nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Paul, a chosen vessel unto God to whom it was given to “complete the word of God, the mystery which had been hidden form the ages and from the generations, but now has been manifested to His saints; to whom God willed to make known the mystery among the Gentiles (nations), which is Christ in you, the hope of glory, Whom we announce, admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom that we may present every man full grown in Christ; for which also I labor, struggling according to His operation which operates in me in power”. (Colossians 1:25-27), who experienced personally in his own body all the things he listed, to the believers in Rome chapter 8:31-39). All thanks and glory and praise be unto You Father for your unspeakable gift in the Person of Your dear Son, Your Beloved in Whom You find your delight and in Whom we have been graced!!! Dear brother Greg, and fellow participants here, the GRACE and PEACE OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST BE RICHLY WITH YOUR SPIRIT!!! Remember the Word He spoke to His disciples just before laying down His life as that once for all sacrifice for the sins of humanity: ” Behold an hour is coming, and has come, that you will be scattered each to his own place and will leave Me alone; yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. These things I have spoken to you that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have affliction, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:32-33)

Greg, nothing wrong with courtesy, which is what “have a nice weekend” is. Courtesy, manners, politeness are the lubricants against the rough edges in society. I appreciate your sign off, and I take it in the spirit in which it intended. I thank you for that and all you do.

Listen, we’re not dead yet! Watch, prepare, and be ready. Together we can prevail! Best always. PM

        • Greg Hunter

          Paul,
I am going to add “Fear Not.” We simply cannot allow ourselves to be overtaken by fear. That’s what “they” want and we should not be paralyzed by fear. Thank you for your comments.
          Greg

        • kLONDIKE BAR

pAUL, THATS GOING TO GO DOWN IN FUTURE SCRIPTURES, YET TO BE WRITTEN,” WERE NOT DEAD YET!”

          Paul,
I think the word you are looking for is “vigilant.” That is all we can be and hope for the best. We have many enemies. Some of them swore an oath to protect us.

      • Felicia

Greg, Woohoo! I love your new wrapup closing line. Actually, I see it as your “call to arms”. My life verse, Joshua 1:9, commands …Be not afraid…so I am with you on proclaiming that message. and I am staying put and fighting to protect my ground and my country’s frredoms. Molon Labe. There is a covert group of former military i my area who have plans to stand their ground when martial law is threatened.

      • Mason

Yes, I like the new addition to the Weekly Wrap-Up ending phrase! I’m not into quoting or reading scripture (but if others do it’s perfectly fine with me). I’m siding with Doug Casey on this one, as I said in one of my comments before. The psychological profile of the middle-class is fear, and that just has to stop. So I think Greg’s new ending is great. As Greg said: “We simply cannot allow ourselves to be overtaken by fear. That’s what ‘they’ want and we should not be paralyzed by fear.”
The citizens of the U.S. shall take the country back.
The only thing I would like to add is that by just saying “Fear Not”, you are telling a person what not to do, and you are not promoting action in itself. So maybe an alternative ending could be: “Have a nice weekend. Fear not, and prepare yourself!”
But maybe that’s just a theoretical argument. I really do like the addition of “Fear not” and I’m thinking out loud.

Here’s another ending [feel free to use it ;-)]:
“If you are listening to this [USAWatchdog], you are the resistance.”

    Greg,
Watched usawatchdog for a year or two now.
From me in south Africa, keep it up please, you are, with ZH, SGTReport etc great

Please, however, understand the Palenstinians are firing rockets into Palenstine, not “Isreal”, the zionist’s invaded are an occuping force with 100’s of UN resolutions, human rights violations etc from Amensty international etc (all ignored by the ICC)…huh?

A little less bias on the Zionist’s agenda would be great

    • Greg Hunter

      OZ’s,
There is one overarching fact you simply cannot ignore. The stated goal of Hamas (and now the PA and Hamas have rejoined forces) is the total destruction of Israel. You cannot shoot hundreds of rockets into another country and expect not to garner retaliation. You cannot have peace if the stated goal of one side is to wipe you out. This is not a “Zionist agenda” but common sense.
      Greg

      • Jim H

        Greg,
I know many times all we have as reference are “facts” we get
from main stream media. Hamas probably are primitive idiots but I do remember watching Geraldo Rivera who somehow managed to get in the trenches of both sides of the war in Lebanon many years ago. He interviewed (actually down in the trenches mind you) the bad guys who told him in pretty good english what a pleasure it was to kill Israelis, especially babies. Then he interviewed (in the trenches) Israeli soldiers who said, each time I kill another human being, I lose a part of myself. I remember thinking then what a bunch of pre-planned fabricated BS this probably was. I have lived worked and known real citizens on both sides of this conflict because of where my job has taken me. They are not military, government or high up people. They nearly all (on both sides) distrust their government and will make you a very tasty sandwich from the little they have. They love their families and help those in need. I mean really, don’t corporations and government, more times than not, right here in our beautiful country go against the will of the people and serve themselves? I am pretty sure also that if the American people are against something the few really want, there are those with means who will get us on board. The fact that the vast majority of our brothers and sisters have so much in common gives me a good feeling no matter the MSM tells me different on a daily basis. Indeed “FEAR NOT”.

      • Paul from Indiana

Greg, please speculate on what happens if the narco-thugs in Juarez start launching SCUDs into El Paso in the name of human rights! Please…this HAMAS position is ludicrous and laughable. It harms whatever claims the so-called Palestinians might have. Relocate Israel into Arizona and watch the desert bloom, and watch Palestine become a sewer. Best always. PM

    Great wrap up Greg.
You speak common sense and how nice it would be if common sense prevailed in the world.
    A couple thoughts.

If it was Putin’s plane that was targeted then the world dodged a bullet.

How lucky the world is that Israel shows restraint. If they didn’t then they could have taken out Hezbollah in the past and they could destroy Hamas now.

The amazing stock market barely reacts to important crises these days.

Silver goes down when it should go up.

Watch out for the Republicans to start demonizing groups like the Minutemen and other patriots interested in securing the border. Once they do this it won’t be long till gun grabbing happens.

Hope that the Black Community further sees that their plight is more in line with the constitutionalists. If solidarity can take place then their will be a very loud and powerful voice from the people.

    Have a great weekend everyone.

  29. Perry

It is unfortunate of the MH17 incident, but I have a hard time thinking that a missile took it down.

Plane full of fuel flying at 32000 ft pressurized does not blow up in the air ?
No signs of smoke tail towards the earth?
Only explosion is front ground up?
Debris falling from 32000 ft would have a wider scattered debris, would it not?
    Some sh** don’t add up.

Fact almost 300 people died for nothing because they need to force Putins hand and the west needs to show the world that “HEY you see it is true what we have been saying about him, he is evil.” This has similar blame game as in Syria with Asad vs rebels.

They find flight 370 yet, I heard on CNN they have the same experts on the MH17 investigation

The world is going to hell in a hand basket.

      Perry,
Whoever did this horrible act, and I do believe the Russian separatist are guilty, the missile appears to have clipped a tail section or a wing. Therefore there would be no midair explosion and major debris falling from the sky. I have viewed the gruesome photos from the crash site and for the most part the victims are not burned. This would be symptomatic of people in a airliner that just fell from the sky. May God be with these helpless souls.

    • MrPM

      Greg,

Am I missing something here about this plane disaster? Why is everyone taking the MSM word that it was a missile that brought it down. Does the government confirm a launch of a missile? Usually this info is TOP Secret, as in the other Malaysian flight search.

Isn’t there something called an “investigation” that’s done before hand? No one is claiming they even launched one.

Talking about jumping to conclusions here- The MSM and others parroting them would normally be in full force yelling “conspiracy theory, Conspiracy theory!!!” TAKE OFF YOUR TIN FOIL HATS!!!

The cabal, through Obama, is in meltdown mode… going for scorched earth every which way they can… WW3 and total destruction of America.
Germany just left NATO and EU, and is joining the new BRICS alliance/bank. France is looking to do the same quickly. There won’t be any EU without the funding they got from Germany and France… the rest are insolvent welfare states. Imagine what happens when the rest of the EU decides to default on all the fraudulent debt forced on them by the EU banksters! NATO’s ring-fencing of Russia is toast. You understand that NATO is nothing more than the western central banks’ enforcement arm.
Expect the timelines of all these events to domino a lot quicker.

Thank you for brining on Egon von Greyerz, he is someone who is walking the walk, living in the material world. He is not just professing or guessing he is a doer in this real world.
His take on owning gold really sunk in, advising owning 50% of net worth in gold. I finally got the pm thing, I understood it before but not like this. He seemed and looked extremely concerned, worried and tired from this worldwide sinkhole.

He is someone who has to get it, wealth preservation is the ultimate job. I really got the take on the EURO. Saying it was just hot gas. Not real. I have always believed this but never heard it before. I’m surprised at how many people don’t want to talk about current events that potentially put us all in peril. Jared Diamond’s book “Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed” describes psychological denial (page 435). It refers to a study where people living several miles downstream from a dam are fearful of the dam collapsing, while people living near the dam have no fear or concerns at all. Americans currently have so many personal problems ( finances, jobs, health,,,,) that they tune out what they can’t deal with. The Middle East is a powder keg and the lack of border security has created numerous concerns. I believe many people have reached their “coping capacity”. Another concern is what will happen when people can’t take it anymore ? Thank You for another great report.

  36. Coalburner9

Ols, I watched the video and it is as I thought. As for Saeed, in your item #2 I believe the Terrorists and the few civilians left there turned Gaza into a prison, not the Israelis. Arabs live in Israel by the millions, don’t they? In # 3 : If they are so poor, how are they buying hundreds of millions of dollars worth of rockets and weapons of war and smuggling them in underground tunnels? Why is all that money not spent on “basic life requirement, such as medicine, food, building materials”? I quit reading your comment right there.

    • allen ols

COAL u r correct, my missionary friends, have gone to Israel several times form italy, and said the arabs living in israel, 98% are friends with israelies, and calm. they get along nicely. they had dinner in arab resturantw W/isralies, and friendly. ols

      • Bob Loblaw

Coal there is a difference between arabs in Israel and arabs in the gaza strip. You can’t lump all arabs into one single category. They are quite divided with very different heritage and beliefs. So simple term arab is quite unhelpful.

And palestinians and Hamas are separate entities. The former is dirt poor. The latter is rich as hell with money from Iran to shoot useless rockets into Israel. Why are the palestinians so poor? Because maybe they’re completely fenced in by israel, high population density, no natural resources or financial support, and facing continuous encroachment by Israeli population growth. We are all just pawns to these guys, easily sacrificed in the great game.

You may not care now, but when trouble comes to our shores, you’ll pay attention. Its all connected in their great game.

    • lastmanstanding

Coalburner9. Do you think that those who need and want food, medicine, etc. are the ones spending those millions on war?

  38. southern Girl

Greg, If you can look at ABC news report yesterday evening. There was a shot of the blown airplane from Malaysia. Everything was burn to a crisp. The a shot of a kids game. Next shot about 12 passports with plastic covers and they looked brand new. I stopped an backed up to look again at the passports. I have traveled overseas for years and know that when you passport expires they send your old one back with your new one. Difference is the old expired passport now has a whole on the bottom right-hand side. I thought if everything was burnt, how would you ever find so many passports they showed now where. They were expired. I mean think about where you put your passport when you travel. You might put it around your neck, purse, pocket, luggage. So that tells me it was fake. They reported about 25 Americans and then they said they did not know if there were any Americans on board. I don’t think it should have taken them anytime to find that out. Keep up the good work.

Greg, you wrote: “There will be no winners—only losers.”
I respectfully disagree. The financial sociopaths that finance the sociopaths behind all of this nonsense will be the winners, if folks don’t wise up and let them. With no empathy nor conscience, these sociopaths are already “dead” in human terms, so they have nothing to lose. Who financed the weapons that brought down MH17; who financed the black op that made MH370 disappear; who financed weapons used in Iraq, Israel and Gaza, etc. Those are questions no one wants answers to.

  40. Dwain

Western media, wasting no time to blame Russia for the missile attack, is irresponsible and reeks of a plot. It wouldn’t be the first time. Iraq, Iran, Syria and Libya come to mind. This predictable media blame game, in a time of western economic failure, raises suspicion. Could it be the US government and controlling oligarchs have once again engineered a murderous Hegelian scheme? The question is, who stands to gain? It’s surely not Putin.

The west has been trying to turn world opinion against Putin for years because Russia wants out of the worthless dollar system. Also a revival of orthodox Christianity, of which Putin is a member, has little tolerance for homosexuality. Putin discourages homosexuality and encourages strong traditional family, a polar opposite of the radical egalitarian west and Israel. No doubt the embrace of orthodoxy, with its independent leanings, infuriates the Godless decadent secular west.

If the US and west gains in some way from this plane downing, such as by getting sanctions imposed etc., eyebrows should raise.

  41. NY Cop on the beat

Its clear to all US citizens that Russia and China are in alliance with the Muslim Jihadists to provoke us into backing down from a military conflict. But America never backs down. We will fight anywhere at anytoime for freedom and liberty. The Russians have grossly miscalculated. We can not accept the threats of this Russian terrorist head of state. The Russians and Chinese can expect a full rataliatory response. Within 6 months we will have boots on the ground in Moscow and Thank God ! Praise the Lord for patriots like McCain and Bolton whose resolve will see us through the coming battles ahead..

        Greg,
I was listening to a speech from Netanyahu the other day and I remember him saying something remarkable. He said and I paraphrase, We send missiles to protect our women and children. HAMAS sends missiles from their women and children. Cowards fight from the schoolrooms and the neighborhoods and not as men on the battlefield.

        • Brian Stemmerman

We shot the British hiding in trees. They wanted us to stand in line engagement. We were smarter.

          • Cry Me A rUBLE

            Brian,
How is that comment even relevant? Do you equate the British hiding in trees during the revolution to HAMAS hiding and willing to have children killed so they can fire their stupid rockets at the Jews?

          • Brian Stemmerman

Cry Me a Rubble, read it again. During the Revolution. We, the colonists were out numbered and out financed. We were protecting our families and farms from the Btitish Empire. They had better weapons and cannons. We defeated them buy not engaging them in the open. We acted as Humas, it was our only solution. History say’s the Red Coat was an easy target from behind a tree. We fought out of every location to win. Did we place woman and cildren next to our cannons? Don’t think that would of stoped the advance. Pont is: anything to win to protect their familys and farms.

          • Brian Stemmerman

Always two sides in a conflict. My problem with Iseral is that you are not treated the same unless you are Jewish. If the mexicans were crossing their South boarder of Iseral, I am sure they would be shot dead. I have a Jewish neighbor that is more concerned about what is being built in our city than the neighborhood association he lives in. Go fiquire.

After the discussion about the importance of numerology for those in “special places,” I realized that the airline was Flight 17 on July (7) 17, 2014. I have no interest in numerology; it is an anathema to God and therefore to me. I just recognized the numbers. I find it rather strange that it was a flight from Malaysia…again? Coincidence or not?

    • NZ 76

Alarmed… Not only that, but it crashed exactly 17 years after its first flight.
Source: The record for 9M-MRD at airfleets dot net.

I am not ‘into’ numerology either, but the ‘coincidences’ are phenomenal:
      Flight (MH) 17
First flight 17 July 1997 (note the 7 in 1997)
      Crashed 17 July 2014 (exactly 17 years after first flight, and note 14 in 2014 = 2 x 7)
Note too: July is month number 7 of the year

And the fact it was on a 777 aircraft, the exact same model (777-200ER) of MH370…

7 really is a reoccurring number.

      Wow.

Outside our borders they are referred to as predator drones. Inside our borders they are known as the grim reaper by the North American Command that will be using them to enforce the creation of the NAU ( North American Union) in the not to distant future.

  46. Country Codger

    Hi Greg,
I have enjoyed your show for some time now. But please think about this. You keep saying that it will get worse before it gets better. It won’t get better. Some time between 2017 and 2023 America will be 1.) Attacked, 2.) Invaded and 3.) Destroyed. I know it sounds bad, negative or whatever else you want to call it but actually it is realistic, definable and historical.

Now there is going to be things going south (getting worse) before then, but the actual destruction of America will occur somewhere in this time frame. I’m old and patient, I can wait.

    Good luck and God bless.
    C

    • Roger Huddleston

      Dear C,

America has already been attacked; by it’s own government. American has already been invaded; it’s your government’s immigration “policy”. America has already been destroyed; by DEBT.

  47. Ready to enlist

Finally, the president is giving us a cause to fight for after all this time. As a proud American, I am ready to fight to protect her from the evil leadership of Russia. I promise you that the shooting down of that aircraft will lead to Russia’s doom. The civilized world will not ever tolerate this kind of mad and crazy provocative action by a terrorist leader. Hitler thought he could get away with it and we proved him wrong. Now Putin thinks he can bully the USA and the wider coalition around the world ? We stand united together against this tyranny. The new world order will prevail and Russia will be anhilated ! Praise be to God ! I am enlisting for this fight. I have prayed to the Lord for meaning and a job for a long time and now I see the light of my destiny in fulling the Lords will by fighting against the evil empire of Russia ! Boots on the ground !

I thank you Greg for your very fine weekly review of the world events that are influencing our daily lives. I agree with you almost 99%. However, in connection with your recent excellent interviews regarding our current economics trends, finances and stability of US dollar as the world reserve currency, it seems to me that you have skipped to record the official establishment of the BRICS’ s World Development Bank, which took place last Tuesday in the city of Fortalesa, Brazil. As agreed among the founders of that bank, it will be a good substitute of the World Bank and/or International Monetary Fund, which are currently dominant loans providers but with many strings attached. In short, the third world is now appearing as the solid completion to the developed world. The bottom line of the BRICS’s policy is that all transactions in the new World Development Bank will be done NOT is US dollars.

  53. MrPM

Theres now enough dead in Gaza to fill another commercial airliner. And I don’t see how this gets better by more slaughter. Its pretty one sided at this point:

Every nation has a right to defend itself (except I guess Assad in Syria- according to the US and the UN but that’s another issue) But I just don’t understand the dismissal of the killing of children on a beach as “just part of war” Its just not a necessary statement to make. This does nothing except to make Israel MORE unsafe. And how do we really know it was just an “accident”? 4 boys playing on a beach? Really, they can’t tell the difference between a threat? It wouldn’t be the first outright purposeful murder in a time of war if it wasn’t.

    • Greg Hunter

      MrPM.
This comment is “pretty one sided.” 1,600 rockets fired in to Israel so far. This is an act of war by any international standard you would like to use. DO not post links on this site to “one sided” commentary from Info Wars. Go there if you would like to watch that. Some of those rockets (which have a 100 mile range) are aiming at nuclear power plants. The kids killed on the beach is a tragedy, of that there is no doubt. To focus on that and not to focus on Hamas hiding and shooting missiles from schools and hospitals is a lie by omission. There would be massive Israeli casualties if it were not for the Iron Dome defense system installed. Hamas could have avoided loss of life if it would have accepted a cease-fire but your “one sided” comment ignores that. You also ignore the Hamas position of Not recognizing Israel’s right to exist and the long stated Hamas goal to wipe them out. Those are big points and no peace can be achieved starting from that vantage point. This is now a war and there will be no winners.
      Greg

      • Malcolm

Totally agree with you Greg. Did you know as many as 29 Israelis have been killed in 13 years by Hamas rockets and mortars.

Because All Arab nations proceed from Abraham’s loins through Ishmael, father of the Arabs. He was rejected, and son Isaac, became the spiritual seed through whom God’s relationship continues . Arab – Israeli, or ‘palestinian’ – Israeli conflict is a blood feud between half-brothers for the pride of legitimacy. The Arab race had to invent a religion, some two hundred years AFTER Jesus Christ – so they could plagiarize from both Abrahamic and Christian Scriptures – a document that forms government and religion together, to a different ( hence unique, authoritative, and only legitimate religion) deity. The twist is “convert or kill” supremacy clause that sports one-upmanship in cultural identity. The issues boils down to: who is right and who is wrong. Since Israel hasn’t accepted Jesus Christ as their Messiah, and is still waiting for Him to come – they stand pat and don’t care what others believe; but want the land God gave them. Christians know the Messiah and Savior, and need look no further. It’s the Arabs who seek to de-legitimatize the Jews, and establish their bloodline over their half-brothers. The “land ” is all contention and controversy. There’ll never be peace until the Arabs make peace. But too much is under the skin. And if the Jews are wiped-out: the Christians, who’s Savior is a Jew, would be de-legitimatized in turn. God declared Ishmael to be a wild man, who hand would be against his brother and every man.

WOW, Greg, No need to come out taking a swing at me. I’m really taken aback..

No where in my comment did I say it was NOT a war.
You always say you appreciate content (whether you agreed with it or not, or so I thought) When anyone makes an opinion it may seem one sided when you say “that’s the way I see it” your forming an opinion and it might be taking one side over another.

certainly Its your site, so you can block whatever info you wish…

But I don’t see anything one sided in that report or my comments. I said “one sided” as in there have been more killed by Israel than the other and that innocent people are getting killed, that’s all-human tragedy on both sides . I’m not taking one side over the other. You misinterpreted my comments or I just wasn’t very clear.

I apologize if you took offense in anyway. I always look forward to your great interviews

That’s right they own the Federal Reserve Bank that controls the monetary policies of our government. Forget about Obama and the Bank puppets in Congress people. These are the men behind the curtains pulling the strings, not them. They are part of the NWO that is setting up shop with the Chinese using our dollars to do it. Check my last post on the “Silk Road”.

The Malaysian plane that was just shot down in Ukraine? Who do you think gave the order to do it? Not Putin I can assure you. They are settling up the conflict between NATO and Russia that I told you about in May. They have to embarrass the United States militarily in front of the world in order to flush the other countries that are still holding dollars into their new gold backed Yuan system. Why? Its all about manipulation, profit and loss. They set the banking systems up, and then herd the people in like the sheep that they are. Bottom line, the united states is no longer profitable for them, and they need a replacement.

Astute. One hundred years of FED harvesting; but now is time to move on after industrial and natural resources are consumed. Better to have citizenship in Heaven.

      Thats right Jerry.
I salute you for being one of the very few people who have the guts to identify what is the fundamental problem behind the financial and political turmoil that the world is in today.
i.e. the ownership model behind the FED and their resulting agenda.
Quite frankly I get sick to death of the continual discussion of what is wrong with the present system and how we are all going down the tube. Well of course we are all going down the tube if we let this ludicrous model continue – what else could you possibly expect. Worse still 90% of the US population won’t even believe it let alone discuss it – meanwhile their economy and diplomatic standing in the world is in free fall.

  56. Diane Ryan

The first two stories would not present such huge threats to our nation if we had cherished what is arguably the greatest speech made on US soil. “The great rule of conduct for us in regard to foreign nations is in extending our commercial relations, to have with them as little political connection as possible…. It is our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliances with any portion of the foreign world.” — George Washington, Farewell Address, 1796.

Regarding the border, once again we directly violated our Constitution. Article IV, Section 4 of our Constitution, states that: “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion.” The planned, coordinated Federally-funded invasion that we are witnessing at our former borders is the long awaited North American Union. The evil globalists were conniving, diligent, patient. It took them 100 years. The death knell was them being able to install ‘their man’ in the White House for the last 28 years. And now they controlled every branch of the federal government, and the Supreme Court. Checkmate.

Our once-great God-fearing nation abandoned God and the Constitution. It is time to pay for those actions. The price is our sovereignty.

Is there hope? You bet. It is called The Declaration of Independence.

I dont know about anyone else, but at this point and as an American, I am enraged. I am enraged at Russia for shooting down our citizens in a Malaysian jet. I am enraged at Hamas for shelling our most important ally in the world Israel. I am enraged that Russia, China, Iran and North Korea are the bastards that they are. We need to teach these nations a lesson and that is that the United States of America wont be messed with. If there was ever time for war it is now! I am really angry and want revenge for what they have done against our people. I am angry thet they want to defile our freedom and liberty. I want justice and the entire American people agree that we should never be put down and taken advantage of. We need to unite and prepare for bloody war! Lets get to it and kill the enemies of freedom !

I have read it all (yes Jerry, and more) . I have weighed the pros and cons relative to what future is left here. I see no “acceptable” future….. Other than trying to prove oneself a hero, why are any of you choosing to stay….. Prepping ? It will be stolen. That’s if you aren’t thrown in a camp before…….Seriously. I ask you all for an explanation……. and I don’t want to here Greg say again “preparing is better than not doing anything”. …….. I will remind you all that the patriots and founders of our country knew when to leave. It took more courage to leave……. Those of you who think you will stand up to the heavily armored and trained are kidding yourselves. I hear it all the time on different sites. Guys who think they will stand up for their country……Lasting 30 seconds is not standing up……… can anyone here give me a logical answer……This place will be a hellhole because we deserve it…… I never thought I’d agree with the muslims but they have one thing right….. Jeff, the guys at the Alamo lasted all of 13 days. A little longer than 30 seconds, I grant, but given today’s technology, maybe roughly equivalent! There have been numerous explanations, which you have somehow missed or dismissed as illogical. Here’s the deal: some of us who grew up in the ’50’s before the schools were corrupted actually internalized and believed the stuff they were being taught about freedom, men endowed with inalienable rights by their Creator, government of the people, by the people, and for the people. A Constitution. A Bill of Rights. Lexington, Concord, Bunker Hill. And my favorite example, the Alamo. Those of us who think in this idealistic fashion will stay and fight, if it comes to that. If I die, I gave my life in a cause I considered all-important. If you think it’s hopeless, leave now. I am acting as Col. Travis and drawing the line in the sand. Those of us on this side have committed and are staying. You are free to go. Best always. PM

  61. Roger Huddleston

America staged a coup in Ukraine. It blew up into a civil war. America is just as responsible for ALL the deaths in that region as the “trigger” men who live there.

The modern state of Israel was founded by imperialism and ethnic cleansing. No matter how much people dance around with a Holy Bible, or some other book, nothing will change that awful bloody truth.

The immigration policies of America’s ruling class are driven by a need to destroy America’s middle class; economic warfare, deliberate chaos and destabilization are their favorite tools. If these fail, they will start a shooting war here in America. Just like they did in Iraq, Libya, Syria, Ukraine, etc…..etc…..etc….. The whirlwind is coming to america

  62. J.C. Davis

Greg as always I enjoy your wrap up’s. On thing I have noticed is no one is talking about what Hamas is out to achieve, and why. I have not been able to study much without a computer reception at home. MSM is my secondary information.
I would like to say to all, I miss you guys.

  63. Johann

I usually agree with you. But I think your position on Israel is too strong. What does Israel want more than anything else? It isn’t peace. It’s land. They have the opportunity to grab more land every time they engage in conflict. This last conflict started because it was reported three Jewish boys were kidnapped (I don’t know if they really were.) This escalation ensued. If you look at the Jewish settlements in Palestinian lands, you will see how systematic the Israeli’s are in grabbing more land every year. I’m not saying Palestinians are “clean”, just that your pro-Israel position is much too strong in my humble opinion.

How would you feel if you lived in Virginia and through some international force, Israel was granted all of Virginia and then started settlements in North Carolina? Not only is your property given to them, but they take more and more?

    • Greg Hunter

      Johann,
I try to give perspective and also report the news. If you remember, I said two weeks ago, the Israelis would try to “knock out Hamas.” What is happening now? I was (sadly) correct. Please do not confuse what I think is going to happen, with what I wish would happen. I wish the President would secure the Southern border. Hamas had the option to stop the rocket attacks. Egypt brokered a cease-fire that Israel accepted. This is a verifiable fact. Israel stopped all operations and stopped shooting. Meanwhile, the (elected) Hamas government kept firing for 6 hours. If Israel was offered a cease-fire I would come down hard on them for not accepting and invading any way. But that is not the case. There have been hundreds and hundreds of rockets fired. These rockets have a 100 mile range and a heavy payload. Some of these rockets have reportedly been aimed at nuclear power plants in Israel. Firing rockets into another country is an ACT of WAR. There is no grey area here. This is black and white in international law. As far as the myth of the “an open prison,” Israel pulled completely out of Gaza 9 years ago. They removed 8,000 Israelis. The people of Gaza freely ELECTED Hamas, a terror organization, to power. Israel has little say about what goes on inside of Gaza. If this is “an open prison,” It was made by the voters of Gaza Palestinians. There is a 40% unemployment rate in Gaza and yet it’s leaders spend money on weapons and tunnels. They could have turned Gaza into a Mediterranean Wonder land. It has some of the most beautiful beaches in the area. They also could have invested in innovation and technology. You know that Bible verse about “reaping what you sow”? I simply cannot defend terror or firing hundreds of rockets into Israel. The people in Gaza have caused much of their own problems and instead of playing the victims they should look at who they chose to lead them. Israel was established long before I was born. It is what it is. As far as the “land grab” You leave out that Israel was attacked in 1967 and in 1973 and the land of the attackers was lost in war. That is a downside to war. Good men can disagree.

      Johann,

There is a larger, religious context to be recognized in the ‘palestinian’ – Israeli conflict. Read my comment above to J. C. Davis. The palestinians amount to Arab/ Islamic squatters in both Jerusalem and Gaza. Sure some of them bought their way in commercially and some had residence before 1948: but ALL Palestine belongs to Israel. Not just because Balfour commissioned it and the UN sanctioned it – but because Israel won it in subsequent wars in proof.
Anyone can take a position on this issue – sympathize with the ‘palestinians’: but national sovereignty is a high moral and legal issue. Should we, because we won the war with Mexico – just return their lands like California, New Mexico, Arizona and Nevada , because they had a map showing it was theirs? (It was fought over Texas TEN YEARS after they won their independence)
Then there is the religious strains… Christianity is based upon Judaism , as in a continuity and completion. And it is historically known that God Almighty ‘will bless them that bless thee (the seed of Abraham, the Jews) or curse them that curse thee.’ And whether you put stock in that or not – there is evidence to support this position. Though Russia got to the Concentration Camps of Jewish extermination, America played a part: and what country has prospered or been blessed since then more than the USA; that is, until now as Obama is turning his back on them? A nation that has a large Christian make-up should support Israel based upon our spiritual issuance from them.
As for me – I support Israel. They have the pedigree and the divine (Scriptural) title to that land.

    Dear Greg,
How do you feel about this latest statement from Paul Craig Roberts:-
“Contrast the US government’s support for Israel’s war crimes with the propaganda onslaught against Russia based on lies.”

Occupation. Regarding wondering what and why Hamas is doing in Gaza, it helps me to put myself in the occupied situation and try to answer the question that way. Israel is an occupier on Palestinian lands and the Palestinians are subjugated to horrific humanitarian crimes perpetrated by Israel, the occupiers.
Gaza is a cage. Israel leaves the Palestinians no quarter in this situation. Peace talks are nonsense. Peace talks occur when two or more parties are more or less equally leveraged and willing to work things out. As occupiers, Israel offers Palestine and Gaza additional surrender terms.
Occupied, oppressed, and attacked left with no quarter, it becomes easy to understand the response from Hamas and what they might be thinking. Gaza is a cage and there is no way out for the Palestinians. There is no peace possible with the Israeli occupiers. Survival is most certainly what Hamas is thinking; cornered in Gaza with no quarter.

    • Greg Hunter

      ACasey,
Your comment has much misguided opinion with little facts. Gaza is not “a cage.” I try to give perspective and also report the news. Good points Greg. I agree with you the rockets and fighting are just not good and I believe those in Gaza are suffering dearly for electing Hamas. Hamas is all the Palestinians have though. With the borders closed to the north and south, well, that why I call it a Cage of Gaza. They just can not get out. Tunnels reveal the extent a people will go to in order to trade goods. Israelis trade with Palestinians on the low-down; ie tunnels of all things. Your show is really great and encourages me to think more and read, read, read. And hope for better times. Thanks Greg.

I find it odd that large pieces of wreckage appear to have been placed at scene. You see no plowed earth or bent grass indicating forward momentum. It is also conveniently next to a road. No investigation at all and we are pressing for more sanctions. This makes me sick.

    FED mouthing rate increases ahead…

Language has yet to change, but it could. Will the Market recognize the presents risks this week?

It appears they have floated several “fore-warnings” and we will see how Markets react as early as this week.

So far our flag still stands so its not too late. The only problem standing in our way is our president when he continually draws lines in the sand and doesnt follow through with action when our liberty is threatened. Every red blooded American needs to demand action to deal with the current crisis otherwise we will be adrift without any direction. We know who the enemies of freedom are and we need to get to fighting. If you need inspiration, listen to this beautiful song about our country and our relationship to it. I will stand up. How about you ? And you ? And you and you ?

We really do need to go kick some ass in order to reign in all of this provocative posturing by the Russians and all the other muslim trash. I wish I was 22 again again because I would re-enlist right away just so I could blow the heads off these terrorist shoulders again. When I went to Iraq, I had the greatest time in the world blowing up our enemies. There is nothing like firing that head shot that makes their head blow into a red crimpson cloud from less than 100 yards. I really envy the GIs today. You guys can take your pick. Gaza ! Ukraine ! North Korea ! Iran ! Lets get our there Obama !!!! Wake up and take up the fight !!!!!

    • Neil

I’m sorry I don’t agree at all. Non Americans are entirely sick of Russians getting a hard time for no good reason. Why do we have this nasty baiting and apartheid? Seems like too many Americans have a rather sick need to unload some abuse and violence on some one else rather than focus on their own issues.

“When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross.”
Your post is the perfect example to illustrate this.

You are obviously trolling. Either that, or you are an American fascist, or heavily indoctrinated by the mainstream media.

Henry Wallace, the 33rd vice-president during 1941-1945 in the Second World War, said:
“The really dangerous American fascists are not those who are hooked up directly or indirectly with the Axis. The FBI has its finger on those. The really dangerous American fascist… is the man who wants to do in the United States in an American way what Hitler did in Germany in a Prussian way. The American fascist would prefer not to use violence. His method is to poison the channels of public information. With a fascist the problem is never how best to present the truth to the public but how best to use the news to deceive the public into giving the fascist and his group more money or more power… They claim to be super-patriots, but they would destroy every liberty guaranteed by the Constitution. They demand free enterprise, but are the spokesmen for monopoly and vested interest. Their final objective, toward which all their deceit is directed, is to capture political power so that, using the power of the state and the power of the market simultaneously, they may keep the common man in eternal subjection.”

Amazing. The vice-president actually wrote this in 1944, during the height of the fight against fascism. He stated that the real dangerous fascists to look out for were not in Nazi-Germany but in America. Truly visionary.

Malcolm beat me to it but I will also add it because too many of your readers are totally clueless from listening to the MSM (main stream media for some of you). I don’t have hours for a myriad of rebuttals. You have people here itching to join the military. Others that think a song will change things…….Will it erase the $Trillions we can never repay ? Will it change the votes in congress or our liberal courts ? Will it suddenly make Nobama step down out of respect for the presidency ? Will it make all our pensions, cities, counties, and states whole that are basically bankrupt. None of this came over night and will not be reversed. This IS the titanic and it will sink. It will not stop or turn around. It will sink…..Sometimes I think the problem is people don’t understand what a $Trillion dollars is. Wake up……it is more than we spent for all the wars and money spent during the previous 200 yrs……. Again, are you listening ? Or does that go over everyone’s head ? So, here again is Robert Craig’s info. Read it twice, if you have to. Especially the second half where it quite logically explains who had motive…..[ http://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2014/07/19/happened-malaysian-airliner-paul-craig-roberts/ ]

Greg Hunter? Who owns him? Did he know Hamas is controlled by Israel? Ron Paul said so – it is on video. Others in power have also said so!

what happened to the missing 102 bodies, jet fuel will not reach temps high enough to incinerate a body. 1600-1800 degrees f required. Jet fuel burns close to 700 f. WTF? All are claiming 102 bodies vaporized with out as trace. BS!
