Can Economic Expansions Last, Bankers Warn Of Slowdown, Crop Trouble

By Greg Hunter’s USAWatchdog.com (WNW 391 7.5.19)

Can economic expansions last forever?  The current economic expansion is the longest on record, and it really is only a matter of time (a short time) before it will end.  Is it going to end with a whimper or a bang?  I think we should all invest in ear plugs just in case.

The central bank of central bankers is warning a “Slowdown is worsening,” and there is not much they can do but print money, lots of money.  Is the BIS (Bank of International Settlements) really asking how much longer until a day of reckoning for all the debt created since the last meltdown in 2008?

Crops are struggling right along with the frustrated farmers that have gotten so much rain and flooding.  Some will simply not be planting anything this growing season.  The USDA is already forecasting higher prices for crops and lower yields.  It’s too early to tell how low, but farmers say the USDA is being overly optimistic.  Some farmers say this is a disaster of record proportions.

Deep state irrational behaviour/panic is increasingly frenzied.Trump’s most important task is to get 4 more years to continue to position Americans with the best possible outcome to the economic collapse/reset. A must listen is the most recent presentation by Kevin Shipp which further blows apart the HAMR hoax … I hope he is successful in getting the round table with Mr. Binney and Mr. Wiebe so that we can be assured that confidence in them continues to be well placed … Mr. Shipp’s analysis is nothing short of spectacularly thorough.

    • Paul in oz

Sorry, here is the link … https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxKE86LoYic&list=PL1z6dkzmLKdTzXD-GJ1loG5NXX6nE0Z4w

      • William Stanley

        Thanks Paul.

    • paul ...

What really shows the Deep State’s irrational behavior/panic … is its increasingly “frenzied application of economic sanctions” on everyone … like stupid loony tune doctors prescribing penicillin “for every aliment” the Deep State ignores (at their own peril) “the resistance” that will automatically be built against the application of all this “sanction penicillin” … that simply makes the germs more resistant and stronger … for example … the application of sanctions on Iran (which had “a very vulnerable” shipping route for it’s products) has resulted in “a much more resistant” robust secure and economically sound land route (by rail) that now ties Iran, Iraq and Syria together economically … making for an alliance that is now greater then the sum of its parts … but neocons are like stupid doctors!! … https://www.zerohedge.com/s3/files/inline-images/iran%20bypass%20suez%20railway.jpg?itok=yre_D4B9

      • paul ...

Similarly the use of sanctions (like penicillin) against Russia and China and Europe and India and Turkey and etc., and etc. only serves to strengthen the Russia China alliance and destroy ties with our allies … the neocons running American foreign policy are like stupid doctors are overwriting writing their sanction penicillin prescriptions creating even more “resistant germs” in the world … https://www.ft.com/content/f7b8c926-8693-11e9-a028-86cea8523dc2 … but perhaps that is the “neocon doctors” plan (to keep themselves in business and force the American taxpayer paying for their services forever)!!

        • paul ...

More sanction penicillin (designed to start a war for the neocons) … just look at the route Iran had to take to send oil to Syria … https://pbs.twimg.com/media/D-tDPIIX4AA38cu.jpg … is it any wonder the Iranian’s are building a rail line through Iraq into Syria and will most likely protect the new railroad system with S400 “defensive missile systems” against neocon warmonger attacks … making it a much more resistant germ!! … likely it is Bolton advising Trump on using sanctions … that only creates a more formidable foe … but that is what he probably wants!!

          • paul ...

Bet if neocons were running exterminating companies they would be trying “economic sanctions” against their enemy roaches (with the same unsuccessful results) … https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-07-04/cockroach-wars-are-upon-us-ancient-pests-starting-power-through-common-insecticides

          • Paul in oz

Paul, I think you have got this all wrong. So called free markets and globalism supported the ability of big business and financiers to shift production to locations of cheap labour … Trump’s use of tariffs are a tax on the removal of jobs from the country and hurts the financiers who get away with shifting wealth away from the middle class to themselves by taking advantage of low/unfair labour rates, less safe working practices and increase in pollution. As for sanctions on Iran, they through the cia and black ops have been the worlds number 1 terrorist country. They wish to obliterate Israel, and although I am not a particular supporter of Israel (given their treatment of the former land possessors) no country should be obliterated. Bolton is just Trump’s bad cop who he overrides but uses to rattle cages.

            • paul ...

Paul In Oz … Agreed “no country (i.e. Israel, Iran, Syria, Yemen, etc., etc.) should be obliterated”… by the use of bombs or sanctions … consider the history of Mankind … after all the many wars mankind has fought over the centuries we keep winding up “with the same results” (the need for More Wars) … this is insanity by definition … neocons have to recognize that we (Humanity) are “all brothers” (as Jesus taught) … and when a difference of opinion arises between brothers at the dinner table on Thanksgiving we don’t draw our guns and start shooting (to eliminate all those with a different opinion then our own) … because the underlying problem that created the difference of opinion simply “remains unresolved” … which will lead to “more shooting down the road” … neocons must begin to grow up and mature and reasonably accept “compromise solutions” that will eventually lead to a world that does not need to constantly kill opposing opinion … and bring to our children the world Jesus saw for us … a thousand years of peace (which should be long enough to get mankind completely out of the armaments and war making business and into producing products more beneficial to humanity then weapons of mass murder and destruction!!

              • Paul in oz

Paul, I think we for the most part are in alignment. Neocons are a major problem, and I hope and begun to believe that Trump also understand that but can not flip a switch and can not expose himself to not be one … the fact that the vast majority of countries are neither Christian, nor evolved from a Christian value system means you cannot sup together expecting Christian brotherhood … As a non-American person I can see objectively that a terrible imbalance in the rules of the game has been foisted upon its citizens … it is not right that the Paris accord has exemptions for high polluting countries and heavy restrictions on the backs of those countries perceived to be prosperous by the globalists … free and fair trade begins by an even playing field which in truth does not exist, but just as paying a race of people who were not oppressed out of the pockets of people who did not oppress does not solve or rectify past wrongs, leaving the status quo also makes no sense … Tariffs are hopefully a temporary method to re level the playing field where an clear imbalance exists … of course what also must go is the reserve currency status … Whether Trump is on the side of the people (and at this point I remain hopeful since I have not seen signs suggesting otherwise) or a wolf in sheep’s clothing, the worst form America is yet to come. I believe he understands that, but also before the worst arrives, it is imperative that American people be re-positioned to not be dis-advantaged by those who simply have the objective of control of the masses for their own personal benefit. It is insidious that since the creation of the federal reserve that has been the objectives of the bankers who understood … “Let us control the money of a country and we care not who makes its laws.”

      • Galaxy 500

America is still the biggest market. So you believe

        • Galaxy 500

that China can and other nations can be like bacteria and develop a resistance to our economic sanctions? You do realize in your analogy that a high percentage of the bacteria dies, right?
So what’s you plan? Allow the evil doers to steal every and bring America to its knees? Go to open war?
And for Israel treatment of the people you claim previously owned the “land”, did you miss where God gave the land to the Jews?
Paul in Oz is correct that the tariffs are a tax on the globalist. Trump understands that for America to survive the coming troubles that we need to re-establish it’s manufacturing base.
Some naysayers here and elsewhere seem to take issue with every single thing that Trump does. Trump isn’t King. Trump is one third of government who is fighting for Americans while fighting the other two thirds of government.
Do I agree with everything Trump does and says? No but I do know that his heart and soul is with America. He is trying to keep his promises. He truly want to stop the globalists from looting and destroying America ‘s middle class and our freedoms.
Keep complaining and allow the defeat of the one man that is fighting for all Americans, even the idiots, or join the fight with him.
The same people posting comments here that are complaining now were saying that they had secret sauces… er, ah sources saying that things were going to happen and yet in the almost decade nothing their sauces… ah, sources told them have come to pass.
Join reality and fight for America, fight for Trump, or slowly be subjugated.
I find it incessantly odd that those who condemn Trump for his “words” never condemned the Øbama and his Demoncrat minions for their very EVIL actions.
God bless America. And God bless Greg Hunter for putting out a diversity of opinion and challenging the Marxist State Media fake news narrative with stone cold facts and analysis.

          • uncommon sense

Have you read the Epic of Gilgamesh? The stone tablets were created in the 7th century BC by the Sumerians and tell a story of when Utnapishtim was instructed by the Gods to build a boat to withstand a great flood on which he was to carry all the living animals. Sound familiar?
            https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gilgamesh_flood_myth
Babylon was the post Sumerian civilization. You will remember that many Israelites were held captive in Babylon and this is where they most likely picked up the stories about the great flood.
If the old testament is based on earlier works, such as the Sumerians’, was God speaking directly to the Jews or were the Jews just interpreting the earlier work of more ancient civilizations?
You need to be more scientific in your scholarship and do some wider reading/research.

            • uncommon sense

Even the detail about the boat ending up on top of a mountain after the flood recedes is similar.

“The boat lodged firmly on mount Nimush which held the boat for several days”

  2. OutLookingIn

As of this moment the USA is it’s own worst enemy.
It is now stomping around the world with a big dollar club, whacking friend and foe alike with it. The Europeans have had enough, as can be seen in their INSTEX system to bi-pass US imposed sanctions. These countries are allies! Now the US has threatened to sanction them for helping their economies and the Iranian economy!
The Chinese and Russians have made huge strides in there efforts to sidestep any economic interactions that involve the US dollar. Even India has a special exchange system in place now with Iran for oil purchases with the rupee. These occurrences spell big trouble for the petrodollar.
To say nothing of the Shanghai Oil Futures contracts denominated in yuan and convertable into gold bullion.
Yes, the US dollars use as a global currency is shrinking and now shrinking rather quicker than ever. What is going to happen when over $1 trillion of foreign held physical US paper dollars comes flooding back to their home?
Who will lend their capital to the US to keep America’s grossly over-sized military equipped, fed, and clothed?
When most empires die, they do so with much destruction, like exchanging that big dollar club for mushroom clouds on the horizon.

    • Rob

The head of this last empire must be destroyed first and yes it will be with burning from mushroom clouds:

Revelation 18:8-10 Therefore in one day shall her plagues come, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire; for strong is the Lord God who judged her. (9) And the kings of the earth, who committed fornication and lived wantonly with her, shall weep and wail over her, when they look upon the smoke of her burning, (10) standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Woe, woe, the great city, Babylon, the strong city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.

This will not take place until after 7 years of tribulation that will include skyrocketing food costs from cumulative flooding, droughts, and hyperinflation:

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCtZ6SJlH7U

The next decade will bring the lawlessness that our Father warned us about:

      https://sumofthyword.com/2017/01/18/the-mystery-of-lawlessness/

    • Montana Guy

OutLookingin, I hear you. There is hope in this empire falling like the USSR, with relatively little violence and at least some Americans enjoying freedom again.

    • William Stanley

      Hi, OutLookingin:
The US trade deficit has, IMO, been terrible for the US because it helped to hollow out US manufacturing while enabling the growth of the budget deficit and the Globalist-fascist agenda.
Trump is talking openly about joining the devaluation “game.” $1 Trillion getting dumped on the market would help help devalue the dollar and enhance US competitiveness — at the cost of higher prices for imported goods. In the end, getting rid of the petrodollar arrangement wouldn’t be such a bad thing, especially if it helps the US reduce or eliminate the trade deficit, revitalizes US manufacturing, and helps the US disengage from the ME and the “defense” of Europe and other places. Paring back the US military/intelligence/industrial complex would have other benefits for the US, too — especially if it leads to less US engagement in foreign affairs generally, and smarter choices of weapons systems. Unfortunately, that power vacuum will tend to be filled by others who may be much worse than the US.
As for the possible interest-rate effect of foreigners selling US dollars and securities: That will entail enormous pain and dislocation, including a depression . . . which, IMO, is coming anyway. That will help the US more quickly embrace the the financial and economic reset that is coming anyway. However, the US Republic is undergoing an existential threat from present circumstances and trends. The sooner reality is faced the less painful the reset will be . . . and just maybe, Liberty and “government of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish from the Earth.”

    • Freebrezer

O – Per the Europeans having enough per sanctions … does Iran with nukes make the world a more or less secure place? If Iran gets nukes, will their enemies (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, etc, etc,) be compelled to develop their own nukes to counter? I side with “better if they don’t” get nukes? And Per trillions flowing back in to the USA, could negative interest rates in Europe propel Europeans to invest elsewhere? … Negative interest rates – ya that is a hell of investment. Money aint flowing in to Europe; https://www.armstrongeconomics.com/markets-by-sector/interest-rates/inverted-yield-curve/ … China with a 40 trillion deficit? Hmmm? Per cashing out of 1 trillion in US treasuries, where and what is the safe alternative to put that money into? Yes – The Swiss and Singapore are safe, but no way can the absorb that quantity!

      • Galaxy 500

I remember when some prognosticators who post here where saying Yuan was safe and how the Chinese markets where going to dominate. You have no rule of Law or Property rights in China. They have fraud in financial reporting that makes Wall Street look like amateurs.

What a delicious Freudian slip! “fee” people, as in “land of the fee and the home of the knave”?

  3. Liberty

    Hi Greg,
Thank you for your wrap up.
I am pleased earing you saying the economy is not good and D Trump is buying time.
But I totally disagree the way D Trump is lying to the American people is base and this is not the way real conservative should act. He is always speaking against fake news and the way he speaks about the economy going well is fake news. This is hypocrisy. This way of handling the situation it’s dishonest to the patriots who vote for him. It’s giving a message to the people that they are not bright enough to understand and react adequately to the reality so it’s better that we lie to you and pretend the US economy is going well and the government will take care of everything. By doing this, people don’t prepare for the collapse. I know people who understand the NWO, the deep state etc…but for them the economy is going great D Trump say so. This is wrong .
I am not saying I am against Trump but we must say what’s not right. The economy is in bad shape and he was the one saying it before the election, that’s it’s all fake but now he is not telling the truth. Better tell the truth than lying otherwise people might lost the trust in him. People in general won’t or might not understand and this might result in people being against real conservative constitutional ideology and real capitalism.

Best Regards and thank you again for your good work.

Sorry for the crops, hope everything is doing well for you.

    • paul ...

Liberty … the economy has been in bad shape for the last 50 years (for the average American) … no politician wants to admit it … because it’s politically inconvenient to say only the top 5% were allowed to prosper in America under Demon-rat and Reptilian rule … the common man was forced to compensate for the sharp decline in his purchasing power … by going ever deeper into debt!! … https://www.oftwominds.com/blogjuly19/concealed-crisis7-19.html

    • William Stanley

      Liberty,
You certainly make some great points. Moreover, it’s entirely questionable whether Trump can succeed with this strategy. However — as you point out — we patriots actually do know the truth about the economy.
All that said, our enemies have made it plain that this is WAR; we do not live in “normal” times. We HAVE to win . . . and not just too ensure our own survival: western civilization itself hangs in the balance.

  4. Stan

Deutsche Bank SOARING today and Gold in full blown crash mode. Did I not warn you of this last week? How many of you laughed at me? Get ready for more huge losses in Gold. You have been warned!

      • William Stanley

        Justn,
Somebody who can print money is trying to “make a market” so that their friends can sell their stock (and unwind their derivatives positions) and escape unscathed. Sarcasm: We must never forget that DB is “systemically important.” DB stock could “soar” right up to the minute it declares bankruptcy — and maybe even afterward. It’s good to have friends in “high” places (more sarcasm).

    • Jodyp

Way to go buddy, your 100 share profits might help pay the light bill this month.

    • Jerry

      Hey Stan,
You’d have better luck finding Bigfoot than making money from Deutsche Bank stock.
      https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-07-05/rentech-has-been-pulling-money-out-of-deutsche-bank-for-months

I guess you’re snarter than rentech. Greg should be interviewing you instead of Bill Holter since you obviously have so much inside information. Greg can you make that happen?

    • William Stanley

      Thanks for the warning, Stan:
What a temptation to buy more it would be if the prices of PMs do drop significantly!
Unfortunately, I now have to spend all of my “loose” change getting better prepared. Tomorrow, I’m buying new solar-power storage batteries, panels and related equipment. The newer technology is so much better (although EMP becomes an even bigger concern). It was a hard choice: lithium-ion, or lithium-iron-phosphate batteries. I went with lithium-ion. I know it seems insane; but I have my rationalizations.

      • iwitness02

Congratulations William, on getting to upgrade your system.
        I am still running lead/acid, Trojan T 105 batteries.
Is there a SunDanzer Freezer in the mix? Mine has been running non stop for five years without a problem. We get a lot of hail this time of year. I made “sails” that I can hoist, to protect the panels. Also have a pair of IOTA battery chargers. 24 volt for the freezer, and a 12 volt for the kitchen. If the grid should go down, I have a multi fuel generator that will run either charger. They are high output chargers and don’t take a lot of time to charge. I love solar, but my system is getting a little long in the tooth. Going to have to continue as we are. Steady as she goes.

        • iwitness02

In the last five years, I have run the chargers less than a dozen times. We do get periods of extended cloudy weather. For the most part, Colorado is blessed with a lot of sun. Even if it is 20 degrees outside, the sun is still shinning. Unless we going through a blizzard from hell.

        • William Stanley

          iwitness02,
          Thanks for the tips.

    • Frank D2

Stan, if we have been “warned”, then you have been fooled. See link: https://quotes.wsj.com/DB
NOT ONE POSITIVE news article about DB….NOT ONE. Gold has been in a narrow trading range for some time now. Its recent close above 1400 (currently at 1398) puts it at the upper end of that range. If you consider that “crashing”, then I consider you an idiot.

    • Heinrich

Gold lost about 1%, so did the miners. I call this a very minor and healthy corrcetion. GDX shows a nice bull flag, suggesting another major breakout to the upside to occur shortly. Next target 1500-1600 USD.
Deutsche Bank is toast. They cant make any money and will continue to suffer from their ernormous derivative exposure. However, the ECB will keep them afloat by providing enough liquidity via printing press.

  5. Russ

Thanks Greg, that’s about where we stand today.
    Some lyrics…
    ———
“All Along The Watchtower” by Bob Dylan
“There must be some way out of here,” said the joker to the thief,
“There’s too much confusion, I can’t get no relief
Businessmen, they drink my wine, plowmen dig my earth
None of them along the line know what any of it is worth.”

“No reason to get excited”, the thief, he kindly spoke,
“There are many here among us who feel that life is but a joke
But you and I, we’ve been through that, and this is not our fate
So let us not talk falsely now, the hour is getting late”.

All along the watchtower, princes kept the view
While all the women came and went, barefoot servants, too.

Outside in the distance a wildcat did growl
Two riders were approaching, the wind began to howl.
    ———
    Some thoughts:
There’s much more in those lyrics than the R&R tune Jimi Hendrix turned it into. If you do a search of the title and “analysis” you’ll find lots of dissecting going on. The song is an analogy and when the Dylan penned it folks wanted to fence it in and say it was about the Viet Nam war. It wasn’t, it’s also about today and not much has changed, except maybe it’s worse. To keep it short, that’s all the analysis you’ll get from me. But take a look at https://www.shmoop.com/all-along-the-watchtower/summary.html and then click next… the language gets somewhat Biblical…

“The hour is getting late.” Get prepared and stay prepared.

    • Russ

Who’s the Joker, who’s the thief — https://www.keesdegraaf.com/index.php/179/bob-dylans-all-along-the-watchtower-a-lyric-analysis-part-1 — Who are the Princes in the Watchtower? Are any of them us???

Considering current events, maybe the Princes in the Watchtower are the Central Bankers and the watchtower is fiat. Stand by, it’s going to get ugly, biblically ugly.

Then again, Bear McCreary‘s rendition for “Battlestar Galactica” served as a wake-up call, an interpretation even Dylan hadn’t considered.

      • Russ

Bear McCreary – All Along The Watch Tower (With Cylon Intro)
        https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BigolJfoANw

No apologies to Hendrix fans, I like this version better — apocalyptic…

      • GVB

It is about life in general and the (social) intelligence structure that has existed for a long time, but still does. It is my opinion that the underlying meaning of this song has something to do with a SPLIT within the ABC agencies, ie Rogue vs Decent Patriots. That is my opinion. It is dangerous and should concern everyone. Too bad no regular person will ever believe it.

    • Russ

So who cares about an old Bob Dylan song… The 1960’s and 70’s had some great music and now it serves as an escape from the very real BS of the present (Rap, the socialist agenda and never-Trumpers). Reset, then come back for more.
Likewise, Science Fiction is interesting because at least some of us know it’s fiction — hyper-drive spaceships, wormholes and aliens visiting earth crossing thousands of lightyears just to not say hi, save us from ourselves or in the case of “Battlestar Galactica”, save themselves thousands of years in our past.
Don’t get me wrong, I believe there is life out there and if they were able to cross those thousands of light-years to visit, they could surely remain unnoticed if they chose.

“Why these 4 habits are bad for your brain”
      https://www.fastcompany.com/90372808/these-4-harmless-habits-are-sapping-your-brain-power
…”A number of my neuroscience colleagues actively avoid the news because they recognize that its negativity—and their impotence to do anything about most of what they hear—can lead to a sense of hopelessness. It saps mental energy and focus. In a study by the American Psychological Association, 56% of people said that following the news caused them stress. Opting out of following the news won’t work for everyone—I’d suggest setting some clear boundaries around it. Consider deleting, even for a while, apps that you’re tempted to open all the time.”…

So I often take a break from the news by going elsewhere — Sci-Fi and 60’s Rock. The 60’s was a great time, we were still on the Gold Standard.

  6. andyb

Greg: re the abnormal weather patterns affecting flyover country in disastrous ways, you need to have Dane on again. In my way of connecting the dots, the weather anomalies are examples of geoengineering done purposely to both adversely affect Trump’s base and to further impoverish the middle class with astronomically rising food prices prior to 2020 elections.
Further, the obvious scapegoating of PG&E for the California fires was illogical given the strange nature of the fires which obliterated structures but left surrounding foliage virtually untouched.
I think all of us would like to hear Dane’s opinion.

    • Galaxy 500

Dry wood burns and healthy foliage remains…
How is that a mystery? It’s been happening since God spoke the world into being.

  7. Farmer On A Dell

Yes, crop losses are higher than reported. I believe they are reporting higher projected bushels to keep prices down. With our high dollar, higher prices would not be attractive to prospective buyers. Farmers are taking a hit in three ways…1) high dollar 2) low prices 3) low projected yields or no yields. The system is so broken with enormous debts, debts counted as assets, debt instruments “insuring the performance of other debts” (derivatives) that we are running the engine hot with the oil pan leaking. Its only a matter of time before it seizes. And it needs to seize to wake us up to the reality of needing to prioritize our spending to live within our means, to be productive with our economy (which has to mean reducing non-essential government overhead which is a productive drag on the economy) and to align our values to God , family and community.

The financial banking community is the cancer that needs to be removed, prosecuted and protections (ala Glass Stegal) reapplied. Never again.

Government can best be cleaned up by hugely reducing the budget and reinstalling transparency and enforcing the constitution.

Remove the ability for senior military commanders to take Board positions etc in any company involved in substantial government contracts.

Term limits for congress and term limits for their staffs (part of the deep state).

Hugely reduce the number of laws we have to an essential number that we fairly hold all people to. Selective enforcement of an overwhelming number of laws and regulations are an unacceptable and corruptible system of control. Thats what the Soviets used.

Simplify tax code , incentivize productive enterprises that provide necessary services and make goods, enact common sense reform like reducing minimum wage paid by private enterprise (Say to $5/hr but consider government matching funds to people earning a W2..these matching funds (even if $10/hr government contribution) could be taken from welfare to incent and reinstill the value and honor of work to those folks working hard today for a non living wage). The middle class needs to be accessable to those willing to work for it.

We can’t let seniors or special needs people starve but we can only survive if we establish a minimum but acceptable safety net and then work like hell to create respect and a sense of community. If you are able, You work, you eat. Your family takes care of you when you are unable to care for yourself. Your work is honorable, its a reflection of who you are and gives you self respect and earns the respect of others.

Tax all not for profit agencies. They should be taxed and we’ll see if the contributors actually support them because they provide efficient and valuable services and functions. For every one non profit thats legit there are probably 10 that are abusing it (look at health care).
Have a national referendum on reforming healthcare . Cap profit by big pharma .

Eliminate the herbicide round up and significantly tax herbicides. Incent organic approaches

Eliminate the fracking scam. Invest in finding ways to clean up coal. We have lots of it and carbon isn’t the highest environmental issue. Reducing plastics, herbicides, regulating harmful industrial emissions, cleaning up the oceans and protecting groundwater….way more important to global sustainability than just focusing on carbon content.

Leverage simple geothermal energy (ten feet down in the earth is a constant ground temp that can be harvested to provide year round growing of foods to create vast system of local food growing greenhouses. They could be huge job creators everywhere and provide healthy local food and get people reconnected with the earth and rebuild local communities.
Make the press personally liable for fact checking and transparent reporting. You spout non fact checked lies, you go to jail.
Make civics class a prerequisite to middle school and an advanced class in high school.

Ban private intelligence agencies like Google, Facebook… Break up Amazon.

It would be healthy if we could all only have flip tak phones for a few years to we actually talk to one another and our kids can stop becoming addicts to non-productive mind dulling crap. Maybe they could learn how to collaborate with their friends face to face. Maybe they’d learn how to play again

Ban hand phone use from people driving cars. You don’t have a right to be distracted and kill people. Hands free or nothing. Texting while driving kills way more people than handguns in the USA.

If people use a gun to commit a crime..no plea bargaining it away. People have inalienable right to bear arms to defend themselves but the responsibility to use them lawfully. I don’t know of a single law abiding gun owner that has an issue with this approach.

Wake up, all of this is actually doable . If we don’t come together, we slip into the chaos that the enemy (I frankly don’t even know who that truly is…but its clear they exist) want to use to control us.

      Jerry,
I am commenting on your last post about 186,000 conceal carry in MO. I happened to read the 2nd AM a couple of times today. I realized that the 2nd AM really implies that every citizen SHOULD be armed and be part of their local militia group.

I am convinced that our founding fathers WANTED all of us to be part of a local militia. ( state’s defense). For the state not the Federal govt.
” A well regulated militia” was one that was ARMED appropriately! It never mean that some govt agency was to rule over it.
To make sure your STATE, not the FED GOVT, was free.
In fact the only duty the fed govt had toward firearms was to leave them alone.
That is why this right is so so so sacred!! The 2nd AM protects us ( states) from a tyrannical GOVT or political mobs etc….

I am awakened to the not only the true purpose of the 2AM.
      1) We are all supposed to be well armed
      2) Regulated- so that we are experts with our firearms
      3) That we should all all be part of a particular militia group.

II) I also see why the left is so determined to take our fire arms away at any costs.
1.) It is to completely subjugate us into a specific serfdom existence.
      2) Once they get the guns we will see their real plans begin-Our termination.
      God Help us.

To serve them etc…if not they will kill us…I HAVE NO DOUBT ABOUT THIS!!

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

Can economic expansions last forever? … JP Morgan Chase is making a Big Bet buying bonds meaning they don’t see a continuation of global stimulus succeeding … Christine Lagarde is indicating that there will be “aggressive easing out of Europe” and Draghi reiterated last month his vow to do “whatever it takes” to revive growth (printing money to produce inflation that will destroy debt) … now more stimulus (inflation) should (in theory) ignite a new rebound in the stock market and provoke “a selloff in bonds” … so JP Morgan Chase buying bonds is effectively betting “that the stimulus will fail” … BUT … any signs of failure will likely only prompt central banks to impose even more monetary stimulus … because doing more of what has failed in the past (printing money) is always the right answer for the banksters as inflation destroys debt … however JP Morgan Chase seems to be betting on bankruptcies rather then inflation to reduce debts and gold took a hit on the news!! … https://www.kitco.com/charts/popup/au24hr3day.html

Modern Monetary Theory (MMT) or the printing of money out of thin air to pay for everything from continuous wars, banker bailouts … to increased social programs is destroying the purchasing power of the American people who’s wages are constrained by a Chained CPI (CCPI) … and destroying the purchasing power of the European people who’s wages are constrained by a Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) … to get the economy moving again the people of the US and Europe need to get a true inflation price adjustment to their wages (according to John Williams inflation is now running at 10%) … if Trump wants to keep the economy booming he needs to sign an executive order giving the American people “a true pay adjustment” to compensate for all the money printing and the weakened dollar that only benefits the banks and start helping the common people before they start buying yellow vests!! … https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-07-03/how-monetary-policy-leads-destruction-middle-class-and-rise-populism

Supposedly “good jobs news” has lessened the chances of a Fed rate cut (pushing gold down) … this jobs news is phony … the increased employment number is a result of people having to hold 2 or 3 or 4 jobs just to pay their bills … how about counting the numbers of employed by their social security numbers … so that the people holding multiple jobs are not counted 2, 3 or 4 times .. and thus give “the true number of people employed”!! … https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-07-05/good-jobs-news-sparks-selling-stocks-bonds-gold-dollar-spikes

In my mind, it is all pretty simple. We live in a world that is run/ruled, by criminals. If we can not bring the ruling class to justice, then there will be no justice. They will destroy the poor and the middle class, and carry on. Just as they have always done.
There are executive orders that suggest that Trump is going after the ruling class.
There are rumors that the ruling class is trying to achieve their final solution concerning us. (death on a massive scale and or slavery.)
So here we are. Right where we always are. Waiting to see what happens.
Whatever happens, I hope it happens soon. I am tired of the endless poverty and servitude that is brought forth by the ruling class.
It is going to be them, or us, or all of us, that gets destroyed. There are endless arguments on who wins. I have my thoughts, you have your thoughts, they have their thoughts. For me, I will stick with fear not. I have believed in God since early childhood. I not going to quit believing now. I also believe that Satans power has a shelf life, and that it is nearing its expiration date. Guess I will have to wait and see.
Golly gee whizz Wally, there is nothing new under the sun.
Yes Beave, but there could be, soon.

But Trump better carefully watch the farm States … because as Greg says massive damaging floods in the Midwest have been occurring … and to make a bad situation worse more rain is predicted … the economic impact is going to be inflationary … major producers have lost at least one harvest this year … the result will be higher prices for both food and livestock feed … add in the tariff and trade war with both Mexico and China (the two countries from whom we import the most food) and consumers will soon be paying through the nose … will the price increases be reflected in the coming election results … it obviously won’t be reflected in the CPI (not if the neocons in charge determine that “protein from maggots” can replace hamburger meat in the American diet)!!

Since the last one…there are now 6 billion more people on earth.
Widely discussing it will only cause panic with little to come of it since there will be little to do about it especially when millions are migrating IN THE WRONG DIRECTION ! LOL towards the cooling areas with the least food production…and thanks to the idiot Democrats…they are inviting people to dinner and to come use energy that will be massively increasing in cost and shortages…!
For each 1 degree C…drop in ‘cooling’ of mean temp…there will 45 days less growing season at the 45 latitudes N and S

You know, I have been a contrarian for quite some time. How we survived the Obama years and the almost election of the Hillerbeast…. I have no clue. I believe there were lots of folks all over the country “praying” for our constitution and the survival of our republic. I believe there are enough good people that the Lord did here our prayers and did “deliver” us from a socialist Armageddon and all.

Yet here we are always saying how things will tank “any time”. I do agree they will sooner or later but we have to consider something. Trump is a billionaire. He is smarter than most of the guests we see on here. Some of your guests even state that he is called by God. So why do we keep questioning this growing economy. Trump is a smart man, smarter than most and perhaps is called as a deliverer. If he is called of God, then he is unstoppable. This economic growth is un-presidented for sure. Why not embrace it rather than being negative contrarians. all the time 🙂

    POLITICS OR ECONOMICS?

The “conventional wisdom” is we are heading into a Recession, probably late 2019 or early 2020. In fact, the naysayers have been predicting dedollarization, a weak dollar ( DAX at 97 currently), Sky-high National debt and sky high gold and so on and so forth. Appears every Tom, Dick, and Harry has a personal opinion of where we are going. Fall of Rome too. Fact is, nobody knows the future, period. We just speculate about what we think we know, which actually is very little. Everyone is an ex-pert ( definition: A Drip under pressure).

    This sucker is going down.
    https://www.bbc.com/news/business-48898234

Deutsche banks futile effort to cut cost by laying off 20,000 employees is an excercise in futility. I have seen this play before in the insurance industry many times. This is an accounting trick to make investors think there is hope. The only way you can dig your way out of debt is by increasing sales. Not by laying off your sales force. What will happen next is, when investors begin to see the profit margin shrink even further, they will pull their money out and invest it elsewhere. Then it’s a rush to the exits. Last man out looses.

Stan reminds me of Kevin Bacon in the movie Animal House. You know the part where he gets trampled by the mob, as he says “ all is well”. Stay calm! Then all you see is a greasy spot.

I’m not sure how much time Deutsche Bank has left, but I can tell you this. The death spiral it’s in, is picking up speed. There is no way this bank can recover. The kind of debt it’s carrying takes years to dig out from, and that’s not going to happen when you fire your sales force.

    • Greg Hunter

This is why I have bee reporting on this. DB makes Lehman look like a small country bank with two locations.
      Greg

But there is one big difference. And that is DB is being protected while Lehman was not. When DB ends it will be controlled. The regulators already have a plan in place. The BOOM will not be as big as some in the ALT media think. It almost never is.

        • Greg Hunter

          Paul Jr.
DB was down 6% today and DB still has $43 trillion in derivatives exposure. The German GDP is about $3.8 trillion. “Protection” can only go so far.
