Failure to Deliver Gold & Silver Calamity Coming – Bill Holter

Financial writer and precious metals expert Bill Holter (aka Mr. Gold) has been predicting record high gold and silver prices. We are nowhere finished with record prices for the metals happening every week and sometimes every day. Mr. Gold now has a new prediction about paper exchanges not being able to deliver physical metal. Holter says, “We exploded through $100 per ounce silver, and we went through $5,000 per ounce on gold, but that’s not the story.
The story is there are already over 40 million ounces standing for delivery in January. January is a non-delivery month. If you go back in past years, you might see delivery in January that might be a million ounces, two million ounces or a small amount. We are already at 40 million ounces of silver in January with only a few days left in the month. March is a delivery month. That’s the month where I am going to be really interested to see what the number is for how much is standing for delivery at the beginning of the month. If you get 70 million or 80 million ounces of silver standing for delivery at the beginning of the month . . . that would be enough to knock out the inventory in March, which is a primary delivery month for COMEX..”
Holter goes on to say, “They reportedly have 110 million ounces to 120 million ounces registered for delivery. Is any of that incumbered? We just don’t know. If we get a failure to deliver that completely negates any and all value of a COMEX contract. . .. If the contract cannot perform, it is worth zero. A failure to deliver wipes out any credibility of COMEX pricing. . .. A failure to deliver in silver will immediately spill over into gold. A failure to deliver in gold will immediately spill over to the credit markets because gold is truly the anti-dollar or the anti-US Treasury.”
Holter says some of the big metal dealers and banks shorting the monetary metals are in financial trouble. Holter says, “This is all caused by rising metals prices, mainly rising silver prices. . .. Some people may think the rally is over, and it’s not. We are still early in this price rise. Any price you hear is going to be laughably too low, and I am going to include that $600 figure for silver that came out several years ago. I think any number you put out there for gold or silver will end up being laughably low.”
Holter contends if you look at all the commitment and debt, there is $200 trillion for the US. Holter says, “If you take just the $38 trillion in debt for the federal government and you want to back the debt with the 8,000 tons of US gold, you are talking around $200,000 per ounce for gold.”
In closing, Holter predicts, “There will be failure to deliver silver in the first part of March 2026. The currencies will zero out. It is a collapse of the entire financial system. . .. The real economy runs on credit. Everything you touch, everything you do . . . credit has been involved in its creation. If credit becomes unattainable, the real economy completely shuts down, and that is where your Mad Max comes in.”

You know, what PM’s do though, in my opinion, it’s an exercise in a savings discipline through time with the strategy of dollar cost averaging that has been unmatched. Holter is describing real concepts (COMEX delivery months, registered vs. eligible inventory, standing for delivery), but the conclusions go far beyond what the data supports.
High “standing for delivery” numbers do not equal a delivery failure. Most futures contracts never result in physical delivery, and COMEX has repeatedly handled large delivery months (including 2020–2024) without default. Delivery often involves internal warrant transfers, not vaults “running out of metal.”
A failure to deliver would be serious, but claims that it would instantly zero out currencies or collapse global credit markets are speculative and not supported by how clearinghouses, margins, and cash-settlement mechanisms actually work.
Tightness in physical silver is worth watching. Predictions of imminent systemic collapse and $200k gold are not analysis — they’re narrative.
I concur with your analysis. I believe the dollar is dying, as the global reserve currency, but systemic collapse (revert to an ordinary regional currency) is likely not imminent.

I Know why Trump is not raising workers pay – He need to make sure US Corporate CEO’s can compete with China (and continue making their Multi-Million Dollar Salaries)!! But if Trump wanted to be “fair” to his MAGA base he could continue to keep the workers wages low for his Corporate Buddies (but at least eliminate the Property Taxes now being imposed on these workers’ homes)!! And if Trump doesn’t want to pick up the School and Property Tax Bills of his MAGA Base and simply add it to the National Debt (like we do for all our Wars) then he has to man-up and tell his Corporate Buddies “they will have to pay the School Taxes necessary to train their workforce”!! I love camo Bill. Some kind of action figure would be interesting. An interesting thought to add on is a possible super biblical cycle. If we count from the Israelites crossing the Jordan as a clock starting- 2025 is the 70th Jubilee since way back then. And 2025 isn’t over until September 11th of this fall. 9-11 is the current counting of the year’s end /start; there was a spring start to the year under the early Old Testament, – so i have some questions about that. Theres a lot i don’t know. Further more, as the Jews didn’t honor the Sabbath for the land and went into captivity for 70 years- we could be starring at a major forgiveness of debt/ money/ banks go poof. I don’t know if the Jubilee has ever been honored, and Gods word isn’t to be taken lightly- He is real, all of it is. Its the interpretation thats tough. One caveat to say is that we can’t be 100% certain of the calendar counting. Currently, I’m buying fencing supplies. I have thought about building a small smoke house – grain changed to corn, KJ, about 6 years ago.
If i’m not mistaken Mr Sinclair’s method was to figure the total debt held by foreigners divided against the domestic gold holdings- collateral. But we don’t know the truth of either number. It would be funny if it wasn’t so sad.
If Bill is right about the price of silver there will be overnight millionaires and billionaires.
To be fair, i think all of us have some suspicions about what might/ will happen, and lots of questions along the way. It’s like we are all blind folded on some kind of journey, and so we prepare as best as we can for our own circumstances. Community will be important in the days ahead- none of us can prepare for every contingency. We’ll need to share and trade.

Linda, the sad reality is that if you have a Mortgage, the owner is the Bank. When the Mortgage is paid, the owner is the Gov and you have to pay them in an form of Taxation.
Failure to pay either one, is a reason to default.

I am not sure silver is the proper measure. $20 US gold double eagle 0.9675 troy ounces of pure gold while 20 silver dollars contains 13.34 Troy ounces silver. gold/silver ratio of 15.57:1. This worked in 1870s but by the 1890s .999 fine silver was selling as low as $0.80/troy oz.

The masses no longer have faith in the dollar! We are witnessing the, ‘American De-exceptionalism’! Historically, foreign investors would flee to safe U.S. assets in times of trouble but they are no longer safe! For decades as prices rose Americans grumbled yet they still had some level of confidence in the dollar’s future. However, since 2020 the public has been hammered with periods of hyperinflation which the public FEELS when buying a home, shopping for food and necessities as well as paying for their health care but which the government statistics no longer measures. So now the little remaining faith in the FRN has been shattered and they realize that the Federal Reserve Note is essentially a political & economic con job. They are still stuck using it for daily commerce but they are now heading for the precious metals lifeboats. Confidence in stocks may soon collapse as fears grow that all dollar denominated asset classes and corporate promises have a very uncertain future. For at least 100 years the financial Svengali’s have kept hammering away that silver was just an ‘industrial metal’ and it was only the “poor man’s gold” and other similar rubbish when in fact it has been documented as THE PRIMARY monetary metal of exchange for 6000 years. However, their disinformation campaign had effectively convicted the vast majority of the public that money (silver) was not money! But now the world has realized that the anti-silver Svengali financial propaganda was the equivalent of the tooth fairy. Greg, the US Mint took down all gold and platinum coins this morning from their webpage. Many on the coin blog were in disbelief. Never happened before. Anyway, after an hour or two, the mint brought them back on line. They did a repricing of the collectible gold and platinum coins and the price was increased considerably. Not sure why the mint did that as in the past they just changed the price. Not remove the items.
All is back where it should be… except the pricing.

Especially significant, though, is the political turmoil in the United States and Britain (as the United Kingdom is often informally known) and
the combine, as the dual Anglo-American world super power.
The Why of it all? Because the Bible foretold that turmoil would exist within these two nations—at the very time when a heavenly government would be set up by God, that would intervene in man’s affairs.
Political turmoil in “the final part of the days”
The Bible contains an astonishing prophecy, recorded in the book of Daniel. In that prophecy, God revealed “what is to happen in the final part of the days,” which at the time was referring to a future, decisive point in human history.—Daniel 2:28.
This Bible prophecy was presented in a dream that God gave to the king of Babylon. In that dream, the king saw an enormous image forged out of different metals. Later, the prophet Daniel explained that from the head down to the feet, the image represented world powers that would rise and fall throughout history. Eventually, the image would be completely destroyed after being hit by a rock that represented a Kingdom, or a government, set up by God.—Daniel 2:36-45.
According to the prophecy, God’s Kingdom would replace all human governments. This Kingdom is the same one that Jesus taught his followers to pray for when he said: “Let your Kingdom come.”—Matthew 6:10.
But where in the prophecy does the Bible predict political turmoil? Note that the feet of the image were made “partly of iron and partly of clay.” (Daniel 2:33) That mixture was different from the solid metals that made up the rest of the image, indicating that there would be one world power that would be different from the others. How? Daniel’s prophecy explains:
“And just as you saw the feet and the toes to be partly of clay of a potter and partly of iron, the kingdom will be divided, but some of the hardness of iron will be in it, just as you saw the iron mixed with soft clay. And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom will be partly strong and partly fragile. According to the prophecy, the world power represented by the feet of the image would experience political turmoil. Its strength would be compromised, that is, weakened from within, by its own people.
Daniel’s prophecy fulfilled today
The feet of the image represent the dominant world power today, the alliance between the United States and Britain. How do modern developments point to that conclusion?
The feet of the image are made “partly of iron and partly of clay,” a combination that is inherently weak. (Daniel 2:42) Today, the power of both the United States and Britain is weakened by elements within their own societies. For example, both countries experience internal conflicts among their own citizens. People violently protest for their rights. Their elected representatives often fail to reach a majority agreement. In the years since fighting as allies in World War I, the United States and Britain have developed a strong alliance. They reinforce that relationship by cooperating on political, security, and economic issues.

Daniel’s prophecy—the future

In a parallel prophecy in the book of Revelation, the Bible shows that “the kings of the entire inhabited earth” will be gathered against Jehovah God for the war of Armageddon, “the war of the great day of God the Almighty.” (Revelation 16:14, 16; 19:19-21) In this war, Jehovah will destroy all human governments and, in doing so, will also erase all trace of the world powers represented by the image in Daniel’s prophecy.
