Thank you so much for your good journalism. It gives us another perspective. One of my friends listens to Fox News and the other listens to public radio. They both listen constantly! Imagine the opposite slants they are hearing. I will be telling them they should listen to Greg Hunter (!) and therefore be exposed to some truth for a change. Thank you again and have a wonderful Thanksgiving. 😊💕

    • Greg Hunter

Thank you LRH. There is always three sides to every story. The Left, the Right and the truth.

We are very privileged on WD to have you as a commenter.
Please keep up your excellent and informed commentary of what is unfolding in your back yard. Your country and indeed President Erdogan sound extremely dangerous and unpredictable.
Please take care and my very best wishes to you.

Yes, America has a lot to Thankful for but we are rapidly losing it due to a lack of civic responsibility which has led to the election of a corrupt and traitorous government which is more concerned with its self-preservation than the welfare of the people that it claims to represent.

Here is a tribute from a Canadian to the US that was given given not too long ago. We could title it, America: From Jimmy Stewart to Obama… look how far you have fallen in such a short time.

    The P-51
    Absolutely outstanding .
    Salute

Please don’t cheat by immediately scrolling to the end to see who the Pilot was…)

This 1967 true story is of an experience by a young 12 year old lad in Kingston , Ontario , Canada . It is about the vivid memory of a privately rebuilt P-51 from WWII and its famous owner/pilot.

In the morning sun, I could not believe my eyes. There, in our little airport, sat a majestic P-51. They said it had flown in during the night from some U.S. Airport, on its way to an air show. The pilot had been tired, so he just happened to choose Kingston for his stop over. It was to take to the air very soon. I marveled at the size of the plane, dwarfing the Pipers and Canucks tied down by her. It was much larger than in the movies. She glistened in the sun like a bulwark of security from days gone by.

The pilot arrived by cab, paid the driver, and then stepped into the pilot’s lounge. He was an older man; his wavy hair was gray and tossed. It looked like it might have been combed, say, around the turn of the century. His flight jacket was checked, creased and worn – it smelled old and genuine. Old Glory was prominently sewn to its shoulders. He projected a quiet air of proficiency and pride devoid
of arrogance. He filed a quick flight plan to Montreal (“Expo-67 Air Show”) then walked across the tarmac.

After taking several minutes to perform his walk-around check, the tall, lanky man returned to the flight lounge to ask if anyone would be available to stand by with fire extinguishers while he “flashed the old bird up, just to be safe.” Though only 12 at the time I was allowed to stand by with an extinguisher after brief instruction on its use — “If you see a fire, point, then pull this lever!”, he said. (I later became a firefighter, but that’s another story.) The air around the exhaust manifolds shimmered like a mirror from fuel fumes as the huge prop started to rotate. One manifold, then another, and yet another barked — I stepped back with the others. In moments the Packard -built Merlin engine came to life with a thunderous roar. Blue flames knifed from her manifolds with an arrogant snarl. I looked at the others’ faces; there was no concern. I lowered the bell of my extinguisher. One of the guys signaled to walk back to the lounge. We did.

Several minutes later we could hear the pilot doing his pre-flight run-up. He’d taxied to the end of runway 19, out of sight. All went quiet for several seconds. We ran to the second story deck to see if we could catch a glimpse of the P-51 as she started down the runway. We could not. There we stood, eyes fixed to a spot half way down 19. Then a roar ripped across the field, much louder than before. Like a furious hell spawn set loose — something mighty this way was coming. “Listen to that thing!” said the controller.

In seconds the Mustang burst into our line of sight. It’s tail was already off the runway and it was moving faster than anything I’d ever seen by that point on 19. Two-thirds the way down 19 the Mustang was airborne with her gear going up. The prop tips were supersonic. We clasped our ears as the Mustang climbed hellishly fast into the circuit to be eaten up by the dog-day haze. We stood for a few moments, in stunned silence, trying to digest what we’d just seen.

The radio controller rushed by me to the radio. ” Kingston tower calling Mustang?” He looked back to us as he waited for an acknowledgment. The radio crackled, “Go ahead, Kingston .” “Roger, Mustang. Kingston tower would like to advise the circuit is clear for a low level pass.” I stood in shock because the controller had just, more or less, asked the pilot to return for an impromptu air show! The controller looked at us. “Well, What?” He asked. “I can’t let that guy go without asking. I couldn’t forgive myself!”

The radio crackled once again, ” Kingston , do I have permission for a low level pass, east to west, across the field?” “Roger, Mustang, the circuit is clear for an east to west pass.” “Roger, Kingston, I’m coming out of 3,000 feet, stand by.”

We rushed back onto the second-story deck, eyes fixed toward the eastern haze. The sound was subtle at first, a high-pitched whine, a muffled screech, a distant scream. Moments later the P-51 burst through the haze. Her airframe straining against positive G’s and gravity. Her wing tips spilling contrails of condensed air, prop-tips again supersonic. The burnished bird blasted across the eastern margin of the field shredding and tearing the air. At about 500 mph and 150 yards from where we stood she passed with the old American pilot saluting. Imagine. A salute! I felt like laughing; I felt like crying; she glistened; she screamed; the building shook; my heart pounded. Then the old pilot pulled her up and rolled, and rolled, and rolled out of sight into the broken clouds and indelible into my memory.

I’ve never wanted to be an American more than on that day! It was a time when many nations in the world looked to America as their big brother. A steady and even-handed beacon of security who navigated difficult political water with grace and style; not unlike the old American pilot who’d just flown into my memory. He was proud, not arrogant, humble, not a braggart, old and honest, projecting an aura of America at its best.

That America will return one day! I know it will! Until that time, I’ll just send off this story. Call it a loving reciprocal salute to a Country, and especially to that old American pilot: the late-JIMMY STEWART (1908-1997), Actor, real WWII Hero (Commander of a US Army Air Force Bomber Wing stationed in England ), and a USAF Reserves Brigadier General, who wove a wonderfully fantastic memory for a young Canadian boy that’s lasted a lifetime.

      What a beautiful story.
If only the might of the neocons, bankism and the military/industrial machine had not taken over the media, the democratic process, and capitalism then just think what a marvelous place America could have been by now. Not to mention the world as well!
If I had to pick one particular defining date when the rot set in I would have to say November 22 1963.
      Cheers

  5. MICHAEL BIERLEIN

Greg, thank you for all you do and Happy Thanksgiving. What I’m most thankful for are you and your guests, especially you bringing on Dane Wigington at Geoengineeringwatch.org. I’m from the Detroit area and if not for you and he I would not have focused my eyes upward into the sky. Yesterday was aerial assault like no other, by 4 pm the sky was like a volcano explosion. I first turned on to your channel for economic information and still do but after studying the force multipliers on weather manipulation it is in my mind our # 1 threat next to nuclear war, which we could be heading into. Our trouble as a nation and the world is debt and the evilness of The Central Banks. Include the MIC and our future as the human race is now in Gods hands. Between Geo-Weather, Banks and warfare the game plain looks as if its in play for something catastrophic. If you look at todays weather map almost right down the middle one half the country is 20 degrees below normal and the other above normal in temps, rain, ice nucleation and snow. Look at the Midwest to westerly Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, etc. Within aprox 160 miles from Denver temp 23 then you have 60 in Wichita. Other than that, the Baltic Dry is crashing and the Money velocity nearly gone even with lowered FICO scores for new autos. The middle East is a lie filled with chaos and soon I believe something here will trigger Martial Law. Look at Hosea 4:3 Greg, even animals, birds and fish are disappearing. West Coast and just reported Chile finding 330 dead whales. Thank you again Graig you truly make a difference. Fear Not.

    • Greg Hunter

      Michael,

” our future as the human race is now in Gods hands ” On this day of Thanksgiving we need to remind ourselves IT”S IN OUR HANDS. We are in trouble now because we turned away from God. He never left us. We left Him and will experience these things until we turn our hearts back to Him…….sermon over

Happy Thanksgiving, Greg, and keep up the great job!

  8. Jerry

    Greg,
Thank you for all you do. Happy Thanksgiving! When I look at my heritage (French and Algonquin), I can’t help but celebrate Thanksgiving. My ancestors came to this land (some were already here) and faced many challenges. We as Americans always rise to the occasion. Though at times it appears dark and depressing, we must never lose sight of the fact that if our ancestors can do it, we can do it to. We will become pioneers in a new age that is about to dawn. As I tell my numb skulled friends who do not listen, “I’m not prepping for the end, I’m prepping for the day after”. Life will go on.

    P.S.
The NDAA did pass last night.

Great Thanksgiving message. We need to remind ourselves to be thankful. In the Bible there is a story where Jesus heals 10 lepers but only one comes back to thank him. Jesus said “where are the other nine?”. Be thankful.

    The World’s Secret Ruler Exposed

“THE ruler of this world will be cast out,” said Jesus to the people on one occasion. Later, he added that ‘the ruler of the world had no hold on him’ and that “the ruler of this world has been judged.” (John 12:31; 14:30; 16:11) Who was Jesus speaking about?
Considering what Jesus was saying about “the ruler of this world,” it is obvious that he could not have been referring to his Father!

For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. [Ephesians 6:12] New Living Translation

It has come out that ISIS got a 45 minute warning before a US air strike. That cannot be coincidental. 75% of airstrike requests are denied as well: http://www.thelasttradition.co

This was known when Christopher Stevens was killed. There is evidence in the hands of one of the Freedom outfits, from the government showing how and where they armed them. Stevens was a liability, and now you know why he died. The whole thing hit shortly after the Fast and Furious scandal and obama was not about to have another one come up.

What do you think Benghazi is about, Chris Stevens was a front man delivering weapons to Boko Harem, ISIS et al. This government is corrupt to the core and both parties have blood on their hands. WE THE PEOPLE need to wake up!

    Hi Greg:
I just heard via Info Wars, Alex Jones that Turkey has purchased over 800 million in oil from ISIS in Syria and that this information has been confirmed. Yet TURKEY is a member of the UN (corrupt organization). You’d think that this kind of information would demonstrate to the world that the Western countries are all financing/supporting ISIS! PUTIN is disrupting the chain supply of oil from Syria to Turkey and in retaliation, this is why the pilots were shot down, are dead. Mr. Mannarino is correct when he says that war is coming, and it’ll be like nothing that we’ve ever seen before. GOD help America for its part in the crimes against humanity.

Early estimates are that the Yuan will jump both the Pound and Yen and grad 13%-18% of the market. I think it will be a lot more. Either way we’ll find out in four days. This one is worth watching. There is a reason why the IMF moved up the timetable for inclusion, and why we have heard crickets from the western MSM. There’s a dirty little secret they don’t want to get out………………..the central banks are broke!

    • Jeff L

There’s a better chance the US vetoes

    • Jerry

Now Russia wants the Yuan as Reserve Currency. The IMF will ring the dinner bell Tuesday. It reminds me of when somebody opens a new restaurant in town. Everybody lines up. https://www.rt.com/business/323639-russia-adds-yuan-reserve-currency/

Those Americans who think this is just going to be another day at the office are in for a rude awakening. The better part of the worlds emerging markets hate………I mean hate….the dollar. I’m not sure why we think they owe us anything. We have no manufacturing to speak of and the only thing we really export besides garbage and pornography is debt. As for me, I’m ready to flip the switch and get back to some resemblance of reality. There are days I feel like I’m living in George Orwell’s book 1984.

      • Jeff L

Jerry I predict Tuesday is a non-event in the markets. The Yuan is not being included till next fall. Furthermore before then the US will veto said action….. The only thing that matters now is when China announces their 30,000 tons of gold. Believe me I would love nothing more than to see some semblance of equality and truth in this world.

        Jerry,

This and the fact that our military must have the lowest moral since the Vietnam War.

I don’t agree completely with Warren Pollack, but I think he was right when he said US military was all but dead.

    • CLB

Jerry, you are the voice of sanity on this fear porn site, 100% of ALL guests predictions have been wrong. What you bring to the table, will happen and you will be the only one who’s predicted correctly. Might be time to create your own site Jerry, many of us appreciate your efforts here.

      • Charles H

        CLB,

This comment of yours takes-on a real “divide and conquer” ring to it. If in one breath you call Jerry sane, and this site a “fear porn” one. Then in the next you slip the idea of Jerry going off, that is LEAVING this site for something else, even his own. You know, I always thought the idea of coming to this site was to CONTRIBUTE to the threads and conversations: not try to get good contributors to leave it.
For this kind of stance I believe you to be a poser, and someone innately detrimental to the purpose this site stands for. If you believe this site is characteristically one of “fear porn”: why do you come here? Why participate in something you label so badly? Just come here and play around to see who you can flatter, or support in comments going well against the grain – which you consistently have done.
Whether you are just another cubicle at Langley, or a small troll who wants to see how far you can yank chains in opposite idealogical circles – doesn’t matter: you have displayed your colors. Would it be too much for you to ‘man-up’ and tell us who you are and where you work and the such? Why hide on the “CLB”; which could well mean Cryptic Little Brother.
One thing for sure – Jerry REALLY is a top contributor to this site – and it would be a great loss if he ‘went away’. I am confident, however, that such small flattery and coercion is easy for him to see through. As for me – you are persona non grata; and an automatic non read.

The statists are having a great year, taking away everything …
Most people are out-of -work and losing financial security; yet one tenth of one percent are multinational oligarchs. Poor blacks in Chicago and Latins in New York know they
will be tased, shot, locked-up by the standing army (police and sheriffs) .
When real estate taxes, income taxes, and a multitude of fines, confiscations, fees and taxes are levied on the people; yet the oligarches get billion dollar hand outs and subsidies. Fake elections, phoney voting machines, puppet-politicians = it is not your government anymore.

The technologically-driven surveillance state has become the fourth branch of government. This fourth branch—the NSA, CIA, FBI, DHS, etc.—came into being without any electoral mandate or constitutional referendum, and yet it possesses superpowers, above and beyond those of any other government agency save the military. It is all-knowing, all-seeing and all-powerful. It operates beyond the reach of the president, Congress and the courts, and it marches in lockstep with the corporate elite who really call the shots in Washington, DC. This age of technological tyranny has been made possible by government secrets, government lies, government spies and their corporate ties. Beware of what you say, what you read, what you write, where you go, and with whom you communicate, because it will all be recorded, stored and used against you eventually, at a time and place of the government’s choosing. Privacy, as we have known it, is dead. The police state is about to pass off the baton to the surveillance state.

I’m thankful for you and your work, Greg. You have an amazing line-up of guests that are knowledgeable people. You help to find a center amongst the wide range of material on the alternative media sites, helping me to avoid falling into the fear that many are driven by. I very much appreciate the way that you always find a way to ask your guests to apply their insight and advice to the average man. While many of them are wealthy (due to their own skills, hard work, and the blessing of God), many of us are average Joe’s just trying to pay the bills. We don’t have the ability to prepare for the times in the way we would like, or the ways available to those with sufficient wealth.

We have been placed on this earth, in this country, during perilous times. Yet God is perfect, always, in timing and purpose. Many of us are living in a time of shock, watching our society circle the drain. It’s disconcerting, if only because we have known better times. But it’s not disconcerting to God, nor need it be the cause of fear if we are trusting in Him. But for the relatively coddled life I have led, suddenly finding myself facing the same thing that so many in the world have lived in, day in and day out, for years. So it’s my turn! I should be neither surprised or disappointed, but challenged to trust God all the more and to remember that there is great hope that is found in times of change, along with the peril that we perceive.

Please keep up your broadcasts. You are a steady and rational voice during these tumultuous times. May God bless your work, you, and your family.

Greg, wanted to bring a concern I have to your readers. The immigrance now fleeing into eastern Europe, are now, not only a stress on those nations, but has turned out to be a threat to every country they enter. As they have boosted, Islam is using the migration to exploit western culture, through their own laws. Rape of Swedish women have sky rocketed at their hand and Germany is feeling the intrusion of their culture by Islam and their attempt to dominate their culture. Islam will take over Europe if not stopped. The American people will be faced with the same in the future. The NAFTA policy of more open borders and the willingness of our leaders to allow Islamic people into this nation, along with the Islamic intrusion of Mexico, will set the stage for an Islamic invasion here. Its not far off, and any opportunity they see to invade our culture with the numbers needed to take over, any hemisphere of our nation. They are after world dominance, and will exploit any nation or country that gives them an opportunity. Prepare your descendance, because its coming. They only understand violence and domination, when their numbers allow it.

      Don
      Your bigotry knows no bounds.
Have you ever contemplated for one second the real reason the world is witnessing the greatest refugee crises in the history of mankind.
Your comments always display monumental self-indulgence, intolerance, and complete geopolitical ignorance. Furthermore you hide behind a Christian facade….
      quite astonishing!

      • Greg Hunter

        Colin,
There is a problem with radical Islam and there is also a problem in vetting these folks. I am not sure being prudent is the same as bigotry. You simply can’t call people names when they don’t agree with you.
        Greg

Happy Thanksgiving Greg! What a great job you do. I’m very grateful for the information and knowledge you share. And I agree, the comments from your viewers are excellent. You’ve got some real smart people on this site. Enjoy your time off, I’m sure there will lots to talk about next week.

  34. Paul

Happy Thanksgiving Greg and to all … I would like to share a few words I spoke before dinner today …
Thank you Father … for the ability to see and feel the warm rays of your morning sun… to hear your birds sing in joy as night turns to day … to breathe your musky early morning air mixed with fragrance of your many bright colored flowers … for the ability to contemplate the wonders of your world and the multitude of life forms you created and put here on Earth … from the many trees that provide nuts and fruit on our table today … to the multitude of plants and animals that you provided us for good health … and for the joy of being able to hold family close … and having many good neighbors … all this makes life a joy worth living … may we emulate your giving grace today … and thank you for all your blessings … the most important being the ability to love beyond ourselves … so today we indulge in your bounty and give you thanks for all the goodness you have provided to us here on Earth … we block out all the nasty things in the world for today … but pray that one day … we can eventually learn to live by your word and deeds … and then Heaven will be Earth… Amen!

  35. Paul

Well well Greg … Obama “is” really getting serious with ISIS … https://usawatchdog.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/16.jpg

he is now dropping “chem-trails” on a foreign enemy … besides us domestic ones!

  36. Paul

Not just the US can impose sanctions … Russia is now targeting the Turkish economy …
    http://news.yahoo.com/putin-says-no-apologies-turkey-over-downed-warplane-110545924.html;_ylt=AwrC1CnJOVdWHW0A0nnQtDMD;_ylu=X3oDMTBydWNmY2MwBGNvbG8DYmYxBHBvcwM0BHZ0aWQDBHNlYwNzcg–#

… and to prevent Turkey from shooting down anymore Russian jets … Russia has shipped out a number of its most advanced S-400 ground-to-air missile systems to Hemeimeem air base in Syria (located just about 30 miles south of the border with Turkey) … now lets see what happens if the Turkish Neocons try to “stab Russia in the back” once again by shooting down another Russian jet?

    • Paul

Putin’s options in this global chess game are actually quite broad … initially moving in his S-400 ground to air missile systems into Syria Putin is now ready to take out any Turkish military jet that may happen to cross into Syrian airspace … but he not stopping there … he is also moving other pieces on the board to sanction Turkey economically … and could begin moving some other pieces to provide support to Kurdish rebels both inside Syria and within Turkey itself who are currently fighting against Turkish forces … elsewhere on the chess board in a more strategic overall strategy Putin could move to ask China for payback and shoot down any American plane that might violate Chinese air space (near China’s new island projects in the South China Sea) to step up pressure on the US to move its military pieces to the western Pacific (which would force an already stretched US military to shift more pieces to Asia from Europe and the Middle East) … and then while the US is busy pivoting its military pieces to the Pacific … move to provide total air support for the breakaway regions of Donetsk and Lugansk in the Ukraine … this is really getting to be a very interesting chess match that has as its final outcome nuclear war (if saner heads in Washington don’t prevail and begin to “control the war mongering neocons” ) … as these kinds of moves and counter moves could all too quickly spiral into the kind of situation that lead humanity into both World War I and World War II.

      • Occasnltrlvr

I have a suspicion that the real intent is to prevent the Israelis from escalating the war, by again attacking Syria, as they did a couple of years ago.
        https://www.rt.com/news/syria-israel-attack-latakia-049/

The shoot-down of the Su-24 may have been cover for RUSSIA to PUBLICLY install their S-400’s in Syria, instead of having Syria install and operate them, as they intended with the SA-125’s a couple of years ago.

  37. Col. E. Shipper

A warm and Happy Thanksgiving to you sir. Just wanted to comment on the concerns regarding the upcoming conflicts and possible war ahead. My folks are huge fans of yours and enjoy your program extensively and have reservations about how the economy has panned out, but regarding war let me reasure you and all the citizens that if war is forced upon us, we will respond with overwhelming force and firepower and we will prevail. In the next conflict, we will roll out weaponry never seen before that will astonish our adversaries so as you said in your closing statement – Fear Not. You and your subscribers are on the winning side. As a matter of fact, we are quite prepared to rub Putin’s nose in dog shit should he even think about collateral activities against us or our allies. And if the chinese want to try their luck, I can also assure you that we are quite capable of giving them a big shit burger to eat. The United States is on the side of right and we shall fight to ensure that Liberty and freedom rule the day. God bless the United States of America and God damn China, Russia and any other terrorist rogue regime that wants to tango with us.

    • Charles H

      Col.,

Being the Top Dog isn’t greatness. Having technological superiority doesn’t make one right. Over-confidence is a terrible mistake in conflict. And taking on TWO Superpowers at once is downright stupid. I am all for a good hurrah for the Home Team – but you better check on Liberty and Freedom ruling here in our own back yard first, before you think of pushing it down the throats of others.

      Airman Treadway, is that you?

What an ignorant person you are. More war.

      • USAF Airman Rich Treadway

Nope, its not me but I practically agree with everything he says. War must be the goal now. If we fail to act and use the weaponry we have, we will be unwitting victims subjected to the tyrranical whims of brutal regimes. Freedom and Liberty are not free. It costs blood and treasure to maintain. We live in the greatest country the world has ever known.

    • Paul

Hey Col … not everyone is so gun ho to indiscriminately kill for Neocons … read what some Air Force men had to say: “We are former Air Force service members. We joined the Air Force to protect American lives and to protect our Constitution. We came to the realization that the innocent civilians we were killing only fueled the feelings of hatred that ignited terrorism and groups like ISIS, while also serving as a fundamental recruiting tool similar to Guantanamo Bay. This administration and its predecessors have built a drone program that is one of the most devastating driving forces for terrorism and destabilization around the world.”

There are many good people out there such as Paul Craig Roberts, Peter Schiff, Mike Maloney, Bill Still, G. Edward Griffin, Ron Paul plus others that fight the good fight.

And of course Greg Hunter who brings many of these people on to share with us all that watch.

    For this we are thankful.

    Happy Thanksgiving

    Greg,
Yes, while times are turning very dark, we all have so much to be thankful for.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and all your followers in the USA.
I hope everyone in the US has a great weekend with their family and loved ones.
Special thoughts go out to all defence force personnel on active service, I pray you all get home safely to your family’s at the end of your deployments.

    Happy Thanksgiving Greg !!!!

Today is Black Friday. It seems like a good day for the markets to crash !!!! The stock market will not be open for about 45 min. but I have a feeling today is going to be a day to remember.

Greg, God bless you for what you do and the spirit in which you do it. As one who had a long career in the media, I have a somewhat special appreciation for where you came from and for your respect for the audience. I left broadcasting after I got to Hollywood and discovered that there was no respect for the audience nor respect for the power of television – a ‘drug’ with potential for great good or great harm. Thankfully, the internet has given voices like yours an opportunity. That you do what you do, that you have taken the risks you have taken, that you devote the energy and purpose to what you do – for yourself, your family and loved ones, and for all of us out here – is appreciated and valued more than my inadequate words can express. Thank you.

    Hi, Greg
Wishing you and yours a happy and healthy Holiday season. USAWatchdog.com has become one of my favorite sites on the internet and I look forward to your interviews. As another year comes to an end, I wonder how long our debt-fueled economy and markets can remain levitated. Although this charade has persisted far longer than I thought it could, it has one silver lining — it has given us an extended period of time to accumulate hard assets and to better prepare ourselves for “tomorrow”. All the best.

  48. Diane D

What a timely Thanksgiving message. Thank you Greg.

I used to say that “I don’t even have a dog in the fight”. When now I’ve got USAWatchdog and all the savvy Watchdogs.

    Hi Greg,

Hope you had an awesome Thanksgiving. So Monday morning is first notice day for the Dec gold contract. Any indications of an imminent default on deliveries? We are quickly approaching the sub 1000.00 level that I have been predicting. Time to start averaging into gold from 1k to 800.00 dollars with up to 20 percent of your liquid net worth people.

Greg, I know we have had some very minor differences of opinion in the past couple years, but I do thank you for your awesome reporting and for the outlet for people to share important information that needs to be made public.

Well its day after Thanksgiving, and the last time I posted was back in August on the J Sinclair Interview. Someone suggested I come back Jan 1st and tell how I feel about my pm holdings. Well thus far J Sinclair’s forecasts of horror by this fall has not come to fruition, and my gold coin holdings are worth less than in August and worth less than they have been the past 6 years. Silver too is the same for what its worth. I think all of this doom porn from guests on this site, was just a bunch of nonsense that I should have never listened to. Come Jan 1st, I’ll come back, and likely be reporting that gold and silver are much lower than here, after the Fed raises its rate a quarter point. I will likely also be cashing out a 401k to have enough cash for a few more months, since my business start up, has not been going well at all. My GOTS process is killing off any chance of a retirement, so whether the government would have taken it had I left it in, is a moot point, as I have had to life off it during the past 9 months. The rest of my 401’s that I cashed out to buy so much pm’s, is down about $70,000, and had I left it in, and in stocks, it would been up about $120,000, so that means I lost out about $190,000 in the past 5 years by following the so called ‘wisdom’ of GOTS and J Sinclair. Sucker born everyday. And I happen to be one of them.

    • Vince Shook

      Hi Mike R,
Thank you for your honesty. Yours is a story similar to mine — and what I suspect may be the one of over a million+ others. The average investor simply cannot stay monetarily defensive (maintaining a substantial position in PM’s) as long as the Fed et al can remain monetarily manipulative. I believe the current coordinated central bank manipulation could continue, literally for many decades — or more. I remember while attending a Sinclair seminar approximately 2 years ago, talking with a gentleman who had done GOTS (Get Out of The System) and had even borrowed money to purchase PM’s. The man was absolutely desperate for his family — and their future — at that time. I can’t imagine his state of existence now. Mr. Sinclair had told everyone then that the only way the major banks of the world could make their balance sheets solvent and stem off a financial disaster was with or through a revaluation of gold. They did it another way — by having their central banks print the money to purchase their underwater “assets” at fictiously high non-market prices. What has seemed common sense to so many of us, has been checkmated by these and similar fiat currency, cartel manipulations (COMEX). They are large, powerful and ubiquitous, with even non-Western countries now realizing and seeking the participatory advantages of such a worldwide system (China – – which does not wish to challenge or tear down, only to participate). Exacerbating the situation now, is that all countries have become dependent upon their central banks’ monetization of government debt. I fear that gold may break below the $1,000 mark (maybe even this year if there is an interest rate increase – we are oh so close now) and if it does, the losses after such an event will be so large for people like us that there will be little, if any, interest in PM’s for generations. Capitulation at prices below $1,000/ounce would be massive. Now, if I were a central bank cartel trying to protect my fiat currency turf, that would be MY MAIN GOAL. My best to all as we exchange thoughts on how to best protect our families, friends, country and purchasing power in the future.

    • Tommy

Waiting for the end has been draining. Hopefully things will finally collapse in 2016 and you will be ahead by being out of the market and into pm’s.

    • Jerry

      Mike R.
As I told my son yesterday. The timing may have been off, but the facts are still the same. You can’t support 120 Trillion dollars in unfunded liabilities with 2 Trillion dollars in tax revenue. We have been given more time thanks to Reserve Currency status and Q.E.

Come Tuesday that begins to go away thanks to the IMF giving SDR drawing rights to China. Again, we can argue timing but that doesn’t change the facts. If you really think this is all fear porn, then go and sell everything you have and put it in Stocks. You have a 50% chance of being right. But then again you’re betting against realities that have stood the test of time.

    • eddiemd

You will never be the richest man in the graveyard.

    • JC Davis

Mike R. If your invested in metal to make currency it is not going to happen. If the table ever flips and gold becomes recognized as money you will have some money. Even then I believe it will take some time to place a value on real money. We live in a fake world where faith in currency keeps the deception alive.
So at some point one must ask themselves what can I do to make the creator of the world smile upon me ? My answer was to run from stocks. Stocks are the devils freebies. Black Friday is everyday on wall street. Greed is a fools game. Without greed stocks would not exist. Gold is money / value/ worth. Honest, and respectable. Dollar is the opposite. I am 55. I dumped stocks at a super low point. I bought land, a little silver and gold, stored up on food…I don’t look at what I did wrong because I am too busy enjoying the gift of life I have. We may not be here in 15 years. Tic Tock said the clock. You point with bias site seeking is valid, but it is better then reruns on tv, and way better then black Friday at Walmart.

    • Terry

Mike R, Sorry to hear about your gloomy situation. I have always looked at PMs as a “years down the road” investment. Not to be a smartaleck, but do you really believe that happy days are here again and the stock market is the safe place for money? I don’t.
I hope you can find serenity and security.

      • Terry

I just bought more PM. Lowering my average price paid. Sure, it may go down some more before it goes back up. I’m saving for the future and not trying to live off it though. There is no doubt in my mind it is a sound, safe investment.

    • Charles H

      Mike R,

I GOTS in 2010 – taking half of my disposable fortune out of CDs into PMs. In 2011, I followed Gregory Mannarino’s faulty predictions and bought silver a $32.00 – so I am way under, and licking my wounds for what might have been “IF ONLY”. Had I stayed cooler and waited: I’d have more of everything in hand, physical – but I did what I did, when I did it: and now I am fixed-in; there is no changing what I have or what I can do. I would have loved to have gotten the best prices, and made the best deals, and ended-up with the most product – but that’s life. My OTHER half is about all gone – and Social Security is about all I have left – IF they pick it up next month, when my first tiny check is due.
The fundamentals of economic fraud and villainy are still there; the Math of national debt and irresponsibility are still there. All the reason to own and hold are still there. If you are looking at the surrounding circumstances, and the ‘what-ifs’ of past opportunity – then you will lose sight of the idea you once held, but have allowed to dim. It simply boils down to this: there are NO fence-sitters in this course of action. Either one stays the course; or one chickens-out. The very rigged game and pressure we now see and affect us it to minimize those who WILL stay the course. If you want – sell, recover something, and go back into that fraudulent system. I refuse to let the system rob me of anything more than savings and interest, which they have; and worse is yet to come. I am of a personal conviction that there are things right and wrong; and staying in the right is the only course. I sincerely believe the world will go haywire in the not too distant future – and what I have set-aside will assure my wife will not suffer. Food and drink; health and roof over our head – I will settle for. I hope you do well in whatever you decide. The saying of – ‘It’s always darkest before the Dawn’ was written out of experience; not just literary inspiration.

  54. Brian D

I appreciate your story about the 2 best days of your life. I am an entrepreneur too and I had some highs and lows that preceded my current achievements. I consider it training under God’s grace and I am ready for whatever is to come.

Hope your Thanksgiving was blessed and meaningful.

  55. Deanna Johnston Clark

    Great comments, everybody…thanks!
The Jimmy Stewart stories were so good.
I noticed long ago that the best comments on youtube, the ones with heart and genuine sentiment, are the military sites. Instead of snarky sarcasm and blame, young people write, “My uncle Harry was on that ship…anybody know my uncle Harry?” and somebody will write, “No, but it was a great ship and my grandfather knew the captain.”

As a Christian I wish I could say that about Christian blogs and sites, don’t you Greg?
But I take kind hearts where I find ’em!! All the best, readers.

  57. Thanks for giving!

“Thank you,” “you’re welcome,” or similar expressions, we frequently hear on this site, USAWatchdog. (Psalm 133:1) What a contrast this is to selfishness that seems to prevail among many today (2 Thessalonians 1:8) We live in a thankless world. And little wonder when we consider who is the god of this world—Satan the Devil, the greatest exponent of self-centeredness, whose pride and rebellious spirit permeate human society!—John 8:44; Corinthians 4:4; 1 John 5:19.
Surrounded as we are by Satan’s world, we need to exercise care not to be corrupted by its attitudes.
There is good reason to be thankful as many are here. Professor Robert Emmons, of the University of California at Davis, says: “Gratitude research is beginning to suggest that feelings of thankfulness have tremendous positive value in helping people cope with daily problems, especially stress, and to achieve a positive sense of self.”

Time magazine points out something else: “People who describe themselves as feeling grateful . . . tend to have higher vitality and more optimism, suffer less stress, and experience fewer episodes of clinical depression than the population as a whole.”

Sadly, however, the Bible foretold that “in the last days,” many people would show themselves to be “lovers of themselves” and “unthankful.” (2 Timothy 3:1-5) How can we avoid being caught up in this spirit? Says the Bible’s Author: “I am your God, the One teaching you to benefit yourself, the One causing you to tread in the way in which you should walk.” (Isaiah 48:17) By heeding God’s laws, we are spared much of the misery that comes to those who are caught up in selfish pursuits. In addition, we have the assurance that God sees our efforts and will reward us accordingly. (Hebrews 6:10) Such benefits move us to “give thanks.” Psalm 107:8. Thanks everybody and Greg!—

    Greg,
I feel like I’m posting to much, but this bit of information totally slipped by me. China signed a currency swap agreement with Turkey only a few weeks ago.
    http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/china-turkey-renew-12-bln-yuan-bilateral-currency-swap-deal.aspx?pageID=238&nID=91208&NewsCatID=346

What this essentially means is that the Russian fighter jet that was shot down in Turkey a few days ago was probably a U.S. black opts operation used to stir up tension between Russia and Turkey. I cannot in good conscience see why Turkey would risk losing this deal, as well as the Russian pipeline deal with Gazprom over something so stupid. To me Langley’s fingerprints are all over this.

      Jerry,
